Multiple photo streams on one PC?

My wife and I each have iPhones and we also have several iPads in the house. We used to use one Apple ID on all the devices.  But with Family Sharing I decided to switch to each person having their own Apple ID but I don't know exactly how this works.
I want all of our photos to be uploaded to Photo Stream on one PC.  Is this possible?  Will all of our Photo Streams be consolidated into one Photo Stream of the Family Organizer?  Or will they each be in separate streams tied to each Apple ID.  Or should I be using iCloud Photo Library. And will that consolidate the photos?

Photo stream photos don't use any of your personal storage, but comes with limitations (up to 1000 photos for 30 days and only holds photos...and videos of 5 min or less in shared streams).  If you turn on iCloud photo library that does use your personal iCloud storage, but will host both photos and videos, limited only by the amount of storage in your account.  Also, just so you are aware, turning on iCloud photo library will remove the my photo stream album from your iOS devices, but they can still upload photo stream photos to your computer.
I know many people are experiencing problems using iCloud photo library right now...guess that's what it's still beta.  You might have to fight it to get it to work.  Be sure to back up your original photos/videos to your computer if your going to use the current beta release.

  • Multiple photo streams to one Macbook

My wife and I each use different Apple IDs on our iPhones for iCloud and for separate Photo Streams but we only have one family Macbook.  How can both of our Photo Streams link to the one Macbook?

Each of you can have their own user account and iPhoto library on the Macbook.  You can use Quick User Switching to move between the two accounts.
There's no way to have two iCloud accounts link to the same iPhoto Library.  However, with the release of the new Photos application for the Mac early next year and iCloud Drive one account on the Mac may be able to access photos from both iCloud accounts.

You have to have an iOS device (iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch) or Mac to create an iCloud account.  However, if you tell your friend to create a shared photo stream and turn on Public Website, he/she will then be able to send you a link that will allow you to view the photos on the internet using your web browser.  You would not be able to comment on the photos as this requires an iCloud account, but you would be able to view them.
You can refer your friend to this link for assistance with this: http://help.apple.com/icloud/#mmc0cd7e99.

How do I turn off photo stream on one computer without deleting the photos out of the rest of the devices?

Go to control panel, search for 'iCloud", double-click iCloud to open the iCloud control panel for Windows, then uncheck photo stream.  If you want to keep any photo stream photos on your PC, be sure to copy them to a separate folder (outside of the photo stream folder) before unchecking photo stream.

  • Multiple photo stream albums

I activated my iCloud and used photo stream on my iPhone.  I later deleted my account from my phone, then added my friends.  Later I deleted his too and readded mine.  Now I hve two photo stream albums: one from my current account that's working and the other is inactive.  How do I remove the old album?

One photo - different ways of viewing it (except the PhotoStream - it is stored on iCloud and must be imported into iPhoto for iPhoto to control it - then it will be in an event and can be seen other plaes too)
iPhoto is not a file manager but a SQLite database and all of the different views are logical

  • When you back up your Iphone/Ipad it backs up for camera roll. but when you take pictures and it uses photo stream, does that mean there are two copy's of your photos on icloud one set for photo stream and one set for backups?

What do you mean by storage quota, does that mean i could be photo streaming about 1gb of photos and it does not get taken away from my free 5bg.

  • HT201317 Two iPhones-separate Apple IDs & Photo Stream to one Mac Book Pro

My wife and I have two iPhones with separate Apple IDs and would like to have the photos we take on the iPhone sent to our Mac Book Pro via Photo Stream. Is that possible with just one user account set up on the Mac Book Pro?

    Hey ekrebs66,
Thanks for the question, and welcome to Apple Support Communities.
It is possible to play music from iTunes on multiple speakers, which can include AirPlay to multiple Apple TVs. At this time, the multiple speakers option is compatible with music playback only. For more information, see this article:

  • How can I stop iPhoto from grouping each month's Photo Stream into one huge event?

My iPhoto preferences are set to split events up based on 2-hour time periods. But photos that enter my iPhoto library via Photo Stream (basically all photos from my iPhone) get grouped into one big monthly event (i.e. titled something like "Jun 2012 Photo Stream"), which I then have to manually break up into smaller, more meaningful events.
Does anyone know of a way to make this behaviour stop? I'd prefer that iPhoto follow the preferences I have set, which is to break up events based on 2-hour time spans.

The problem is that every import is at least one new Event, and so it's quite possible that you could have 1,000 new Events every month thanks to Phootstream.
However, it's not such a huge deal to just select the Event at the end of the month and auto-split it (in the Events menu)

  • Reconnect multiple photos witout doing one at a time

I read the suggestions for reconnecting multiple photos when the photos are all from one file, but nothing worked for me.  In "Edit" I click Reconnect Photos, Instead of waiting for ever (and still does not auto-reconnect photos) I click Browse, the Reconnect Missing Files two sided page opens, on the left are the photos, on the right the location of files choice.
In the left side I select all the photos I want to reconnect, and on the right side I find the correct drive and folder the photos are in (PS- it is never in alphabetical order) and click "find".  Nothing happens-the photos do not reconnect.
WTF?  What am I doing wrong?
    SkipRag

Try Reconnecting one of the files manually and then try auto-reconnect.
For Manual Reconnect: Click on "Browse" button present on reconnect dialog to open manula reconnect dialog.
For Auto Reconnect: Go to File >> Reconnect >> Reconnect All Missing.

a Socket can have only one InputStream (Socket.getInputStream()) and one OutputStream Socket.getOutputStream()). So you will have to create a way to make multiple Socket connections in your client program. And yes, you have to use threads for your server. if you dont the client will have to wait until the user before them is finished with the connection before being able to connect. I hope this helps you out. BTW please check out http://www.javabible.com. they have the book online now for free.

  • View multiple photo streams

I have many different photo streams on my iphone that I share.  How do I veiw them on my mac?  I goto add subscription and put the url in and iphoto always says its bad.

To view your photo streams on your Mac send yourself an invitation from your iPhone and accept it on your mac. Then your shared stream will appear along with your "My Photo Stream".

  • I was sharing same id for 2 phones.i deleted my photo stream my one phone stream of other phone was off wether these photos save in i cloud?? how to delete from both phones

i was sharind my apple id with my sister . i made some photos from my phone after that i deleted them from my stream .my sister,s stream was off.there is no photo on her phone but is that possible these photos might b saved on i cloud?? if so how to delete them

I had my phone replaced by Apple on the 8th February at the Apple centre in Trafford Centre. They asked me if I wanted to download my information from iCloud which I had last saved on the 6th February. The photos that were download were not my photographs. Some of them were of a highly explicit nature of persons (male/female) whom I do not know. The couple in question would be mortified to know I have received their intimate photographs off iCloud. All the photos were deleted and I was told an iCloud representative would get in touch with in a couple of days, which they did not. Since then I have been on to Apple again about a differed matter and they tried to get my original photos back on my phone but again these initiate explicit photos were downloaded to my iPhone. My 13 year old niece has been staying and has used my phone but thankfully did not look at the photos.  I have complained to Apple and had no satisfaction and I found their representative Alex de Matos rude and condescending, He also told me this had never happened before, he needs to read this website. I am now going to get in touch with the Trading Standards agency and the Data Protection agency as Apple have violated principle 5.

  • Multiple seperate streams to one port?

    DEar all
Thanks for your help yesterday. I've given up trying to encode data and then tx it over TCP - instead I'm just going to use RTP and encode to a file at the server.
The next question I have is this:
The server will receive many connections from many clients. When a client
    a) Can I use one (the same) port on the server for all clients to transmit their RTP to? If so how do I distinguish between the streams on the server? Or must I have separate ports for each incoming stream? If so, how do I find free ports for JMF to use?
    b) How can I identify a particular stream as being from a particular PC (as many maybe behind the same nat). Ideally I'd like to send an identification number first.
    c) How do I detect the end of the stream on the server? Or must the client tell the server via some other means?
    Thanks

Or must I have separate ports for each incoming stream? If so, how do I find free ports for JMF to use? You're supposed to use separate ports for each incoming stream. You should handle this situation using a normal "listen & fork" server routine.
If you're unfamiliar with the concept, you have a server that listens for incoming requests on a well-known port, and then serves the request on "any available port". Essentially it listens for a request, and then forks off a thread to handle the connection for the client on another port. That way, the well-known port isn't ever "in use"...
You'll just need to write a basic handshake protocol that your server and client can use. The server listens for requests on some defined port. When it receives a request from a client, it'll pick an unused port, transmit that port back to the client, and then start listening for an RTP connection on the port it told the client.
    b) How can I identify a particular stream as being from a particular PC (as many maybe behind the same nat). Ideally I'd like to send an identification number first.A solves this issue.
    c) How do I detect the end of the stream on the server? Or must the client tell the server via some other means? You're able to listen for the following events on an RTP session by registering a "ReceiveStreamListener" on your RTP session:
-- NewReceiveStreamEvent, when a new stream arrives
-- InactiveReceiveStreamEvent, when the stream becomes inactive
-- ActiveReceiveStreamEvent, when the stream becomes active again after a previous inactive event was generated
-- TimeoutEvent, when the stream times out.
-- ByeEvent, when the stream is done.
So, the end of a stream occurs when you receive a TimeoutEvent or a ByeEvent (which is a subclass of TimeoutEvent so you really only have to handle TimeoutEvents), and you may also possibly want to consider a InactiveReceiveStreamevent to be the end of a stream.

  • Automator. Need to send multiple photos each by one email.

    Hello everybody.
Help me please to create a task in Automator.
I have 500 images of JPEG 12-15 MB size and I need to send each one to [email protected] one by one email.
Since some mail servers have permit of size attachments not more than 20 MB - I can send only one image per one email.
    So the steps simply are:
    1) New mail
    2) enter email address
    3) add attachment (number 1)
    4) send
    Next
    1) New mail
    2) enter email address <<< same email
    3) add attachment (number 2)
    4) send
    Etc...
    Best regards,
    Art Fry.

I had a similar problem and created a service to attach from finder to a new email and then I changed to Outlook and had to update it to do the same in outlook.
    open automator
    Under choose template select "service"
At the top of script side will be the option "Service receives selected" set to "file" in "you can choose any application but since I only want this in finder that was my choice"
select the mail program in automator so that the related actions are shown.
    if you use Mac Mail
first select New Mail Message by dragging into the script.
2nd select add attachment to front message.
    if you use outlook
first select Create New Outlook Mail Message
2nd Add Attachments to Outlook Messages
save the scripted service with an appropriate name such as attach to email.
From then when you right click in finder the option to "attach to email" (or whatever you named it) will be shown to activate your script.
