Multiple problems accross multiple programs

I'm running CS6 on Mac OSX 10.6.8.
I'm editing about a dozen short videos in Premiere with source footage in a variety of formats, although mostly in XDCam EX.
I created some simple opening and closing graphics in After Effects, and there are some lower third IDs as well. The lower thirds were originally created by someone else, I copied their project and saved Comps for each of the IDs I needed. I brought opening and closing graphics, and the lower thirds into my PPro project via Dynamic Link.
Everything was going fine, and then... ?
I shut down my workstation last night, and then remembered I had to export one of the lower thirds for someone else, so I rebooted. At that point, the After Effect project would not load. It would load to about 25%, and then freeze.
Eventually, I was able to launch an older version of the AE project, but was never able to launch the original again.
Then I started having problems with Premiere. Media that had previously been brought into the project was not loading, including, not surprisingly, the AE comps I'd brought in via dynamic link.
After repairing permissions and trashing preferences (more than once), and of course, so many re-boots I lost count, eventually things seemed like they were working correctly.
Until I wanted to export.
Trying to send a sequence from PPRo to Media Encoder woule launch Media Encoder, but the sequence would never show up in ME, and PPro would just show the horizontal loading bar, seemingly non-stop. When I hit the escape key, the loading bar would disappear, and then PPro would freeze. Spinning beachball of death.
I tried opening the PPro sequence from Media Encoder, but ME wasn't connecting to the Dynamic Link server.
So of course, I tried exporting directly from PPro. Seemed like it was working, until the very end of the export, when I got this message:
And so... no export.
I'm now on my way to a friend's place to try to use her system. I'm a recent adopter/convert from the FCP7 world, and up to this point I've been very impressed with Creative Suite, but this is really disheartening. Bad enough I'm working on a Saturday, but at this point I've accomplished nothing all day.
Any advice would be appreciated, thanks.

Flush the disk, media and project caches and let them rebuild.

Launch System Preferences and click on the “General” icon

okay I've finally been able to get tor and all the other programs to work according to my plan the only thing that's still making problems is that iptables doesn't work as I want it to, when I start chromium without proxy settings privoxy doesn't seem to forward the information to polipo.. do I need to add another rule to iptables.rules in order for the program to know it has to reroute the information again or how can I get this to work? and is there any way to run rtorrent with proxy support?
anyway, problem 2 and 3 are still to be solved.
and does anybody know where i can get a good dansguardian blacklist that was not designed for 6 year old children and for which I don't need to subscribe? I'm still getting these partypoker popups -.-
//e: with iptables it's the same thing as described in the first post. https works, http doesnt. I get the output "Invalid header received from client." on http sites. still no idea why though.. (and the https-version of torcheck.xenubite says i'm tor unprotected while starting the browser with iptables)

That's a nice system Kevin, and it will work very nicely with Photoshop. I do take it that you have 16Gb RAM in Total?
250Gb SSD is a good size, but you can still run short, and that will affect Windows performance. When you get your system, instal WinDirStat which gives you a graphic display of everything on your drive, like below. Clicking on any of the large areas will tell you what and where they are, so you can think about moving cache folders etc. to one of the HDDs.
Leave the Pagefile.sys on the boot drive. Think about disabling Hyphenate as it takes a ton of space, and too often crashes on wake up.

Downloads
Look at Bridge cache
iTunes backup
Other stuff like that.
Think about another 500Gb drive just for Photoshop Scratch. Drives are cheap as chips nowadays
Do yourself a favour, and invest $100 in Shadow Protect (or similar if there is such a thing) SP saves incremental backups every 15 minutes (you can set the interval, but it has no impact on performance with a system like yours). If you have a problem you can mount the back up at any of those 15 minute points, and open files from it. You can also make a bootable DVD image of your C drive, and be back up and running five minutes after disaster strikes.

Please read this whole message before doing anything.
This procedure is a diagnostic test. It’s unlikely to solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
The purpose of the test is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party software that loads automatically at startup or login, by a peripheral device, by a font conflict, or by corruption of the file system or of certain system caches.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards, if applicable. Start up in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. You must hold down the shift key twice: once when you turn on the computer, and again when you log in.
Note: If FileVault is enabled, or if a firmware password is set, or if the startup volume is a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to start up and run than normal, with limited graphics performance, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output and Wi-Fi on certain models. The next normal startup may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually login automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
Test while in safe mode. Same problem?
After testing, restart as usual (not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of the test.

R12 - Multiple programs to be submitted in supplier remittance and bank trf

in 11i, the AP payment programs was set up such that a custom SQL program is triggered during "Bank Transfer" and "Supplier Remittance" processes
The custom SQL program has a logic to submit multiple reports for each process. E.g. Supplier remittance has a "Covering letter" followed by another program for the actual supplier remittance
How do we acheive this in R12 using PPR and payment formats? Since in R12 only layouts can be modified, how to submit multiple reports / concurrent programs for each process ?

But there are some cases where there are 3 and also 4 programs submitted as part of payment process. In 11i this was achieved by submitting an SQL based program which in turn submitted multiple programs.
How to submit 3 or more programs using PPR or payment process profile features of R12 ?

You would have to close your DAQmx reference in one vi before another vi could open one on the same DAQ device. You could have some sort of flag variable, maybe a LV style functional global, that would signal the need for DAQ use. Some sort of arbitration scheme in a separate vi would determine who gets priority over DAQ use. It would then send signals (more funtional globals) to each subvi telling them who should close and who should open. The differenct vi's would have to coninually poll the functional globals to see if they should open or close their session. This will be quite complex.

create a object, include all the programs you want to check.
now create an inspection, in SCI or SCII, give this object you have created and execute with SAP default check variant.

Is it possible to use multiple programs (i.e. typing something in Safari while watching a movie in quicktime) without Safari overlapping the quicktime movie as soon as you start typing?

Only if you have a large enough screen that you can size two acceptable windows so you can see the background program while you are doing something in the foreground program - obviously only one program can have its window in front at a time so you need enough real estate to see al you want of both at the same time

Photoshop CC 2014, A problem caused the program to stop working

When opening Photoshop CC 2014, I get "A problem caused the program to stop working correctly". Works fine on my home computer but the new one in the office has the error message. I have the latest cloud version of the program. I've updated the AMD/ATI display driver- first from the HP site supporting the Win 7 Pro laptop I'm working on(driver ver.13.2) and then from the AMD site (ver.14.1) I've installed all windows updates. Still get the same message followed by Photoshop closing itself out.

I think once Windows notified me of a solution (which was to update my video card driver). Most of the time you don't get a direct response, but submitting the report does give the engineers something to work with in order to try to find out what is causing the problem.
Anyway, there are about a million different things that can cause any application to return this generic error message. While you've already covered a couple of the possible solutions, there is still a ton of stuff to try. Since Photoshop is working on one computer but not the other, and knowing that Photoshop is exactly the same between both computers (assuming you are using the same version), then the question really becomes "what is different between the two computers?" Basically, shy of knowing that, we have a ton of general troubleshooting steps to give a shot at:

Problem with iTunes. I have Windows 8 on a new laptop. Installed latest version of iTunes. Can play music in My Library but when I click on Itunes Store I get the message "iTunes has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly.

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
This works for some users. Not sure why.
Go to Settings>General>Date and Time> Set Automatically>Off. Set the date ahead by about a year.Then see if you can connect to the store.

I've got the same issue and it affects all my adobe software. You are not alone as I have seen several postings looking for the answer to this help request.
