Multiple quicktimes on same page, same place

Hopes this makes sense but what I would like is a blank white page with multiple "text menus (hyperlinks)" on the left side of the page that when selected will activate appropriate quicktimes that will then open on the same page, but on the right side.
However, I don't want to see the quicktimes or a quicktime window until it is selected. Then, after the quicktime has played it should disappear and then if another option is chosen from the menu on the left, another quicktime will pop up in exactly the same place. I need this to happen at least 5 times per page.
I'm trying to figure out how to do this without creating a whole new identical page that would be activated and then have to load. All I want to load for each link is the QT's that would appear on that same page, in exactly the same place on the right.

If there's to be any QuickTime on the page, the QuickTime plugin is going to load, so there's going to be that Q at some point or another. If that's ok, then look at the examples and follow the link to the tutorial on this page.

I read that isn't advisable to use multiple quicktimes on a single page with iweb. However, I'm sort of married to my layout at this point, so I'd like to try and keep it. Is there any workaround for this?

Welcome to the Apple Discussions. On each of the pages the lower movie's controller appears to be in the footer and not the body portion of the page. That's way the controller doesn't work. In iWeb's View menu select Show Layout. Now you can see the outlines of the various sections of the page and can move the movie out of the footer into the body. Or use the Inspector/Page/Layout pane to reduce the size of the footer.

Before the recent updates to Firefox, clicking on the back button always brought me back to the same place on the page where I had been, but now it brings me to the top of the page. How do I restore the previous feature?

Before the recent updates to Firefox, when I would go to another page in the same window and then clickon the back button, Firefox used to bring me back to the same place on the page where I had been, but now it brings me to the top of the page, meaning that I have to laboriously scroll down to the old place. How do I restore the previous feature?

That change was made in Firefox 4, 6 months ago.

How can I print multiple copies of same photo onto one page on iPhoto 9.5.1? I was able to do it on the old iPhoto, but can't seem to be able to do it on the new iPhoto. Grrr...

Photos does the same thing.... Only workaround I can come up with is to create a template in Pages and copy & paste.

I'm trying hard to work out how to print out multiple copies of the same picture. I want to get 2 copies on each 4x6" sheet of photo paper and have followed all the steps...
Selected 1 picture, hit print, went to Settings, selected "Multiple of the same photo per page".
I then went to Print Settings, selected Borderless 4x6 (yes, the printer works fine with that usually - HP Photosmart C4280) and set the Print Size to 2x3 and the preview shows the 2 copies of the same photo side-by-side no problem.
So I hit OK, clicked on Print and...
It's not aligning with the left hand side of the 4x6 - it's not respecting the selected paper size. If I put in a sheet of A4 to test, the 2 pictures come out in the centre of the page (in the requested size). So as a result I can't print on the 4x6 paper as most of the picture gets printed on nothing!
Am I doing something wrong or is this some kind of bug in either iPhoto or the HP printer driver? Anyone had any success with this? If so, what kind of printer were you using?

Here's the workflow I used to get 2 2x3s on a 4x6:
1 - select photo & click on print button
2 - select 4x6 borderless and 2x3 print size
3 - click Customize button
4 - click on settings button
5 - select "Multiple of same photo per page" (after clicking OK two photo are shown on the preview)
6 - click on the Print button.
Where I differ is that I don't go back to Print Settings to select the 4x6 paper size after Step 5. Give that a try.
NOTE: Do a Print to PDF to check it out instead of printing on paper. That will save some paper in case it doesn't work.
That gives me two photos on the 4x6. I'm using a Canon i850. I also get the same results with an Epson R280.
TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto (iPhoto.Library for iPhoto 5 and earlier) database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've created an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger or later), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 6 and 7 libraries and Tiger and Leopard. Just put the application in the Dock and click on it whenever you want to backup the dB file. iPhoto does not have to be closed to run the application, just idle. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.
Note: There's now an Automator backup application for iPhoto 5 that will work with Tiger or Leopard.

Stamps in the same place on every page

Lets say we have a 10 page electrical wiring diagram document. On each page there's space for our client's logo and address. As a service, we are now thinking of adding that logo and address before we print the document and send it to our client. I know how to add stamps, but I can't figure out how to place the stamp on just one page, and then automatically have it placed in the exact same place on all pages. Is that possible? Do I have to place the stamp on every page manually? Then they will not end up in the same position every time!
This is quite urgent. If anybody has a solution, please let me know.

We do something similar using Batch Processing. The stamp is placed on a blank page PDF in the position we want it to appear on the document. We then run a Batch process that opens the file, adds the watermark (the PDF file containing the placed stamp, flattens the layers, and prints the file. We don't save but there is an option to save the file with the stamp on when you set up the batch process.
Setting up the Batch Process can take a moment, especially making sure the stamp will appear where you want it, but it makes things very easy once you have it set up.

If you have sent a test print via ePrint, and experience this issue, i would call the Cloud Services department.
If ePrint works fine, it is definitely a Google Cloud Print issue.
Also, when you print from your android device, are you using Google Cloud print or the HP ePrint app?

Multiple buttons for same action page

I have a cfform with an action page.
I have two buttons at the bottom with different labels, like
button 1 and button 2, that call this action page to insert data.
After the insert, the page needs to be redirected page 1 if button
1 was selected, and redirected to page 2 if button 2 was selected.
How can I separate the two so that they go to different forms
I tried passing a variable in the cfform action, but it
applies to both buttons, thus both go to the same place, and I
cannot seem to separate.

and the function call in the form tag is incorrect - a) the

name is spelt wrong and b) it does not pass required argument

How to replace multiple files in same location Indesign CS6

Hi everyone please help me with this challenge if you are avialable it will be greatly appreciated!
Ok I have a spread of about 60 pages in indesign. I created a template where I have differnt PDFs in each section. I have 3 different PDFs per page totalling about 180 different PDF docs in my in design file. Every week I have to go in to replace those PDFs with the new ones. They have to be in the exact same place and sized the same way since they are setup to print on one of our printers. In indeesign CS3 I would just do Command D and then I would select all 180 PDF documents. It would import all of them and I would just click on each area of the PDF holding down "Option" and it would automatically size the PDF to fit in the same way the previous PDF was. Basically just replacing it. I did this for all 180 relatively simple. Now that feature is gone! I can't for hte life of me figure out how to do this. I've tried everything and it's not working.
Can any one help me?

Problem with running multiple servlet in same webapplication with tomcat 3

I am using Tomcat 3.0 as webserver with jdk1.3, Servlet 2.0,
Templates for html file and oracle 8i on UNIX platform.
I have problem with multiple servlet running same webapplication.
There are two servlet used in my application. 1) GenServlet.class
and 2) ServletForPrinting.class
All of my pages go through GenServlet.class which reads some property files
and add header and footer in all pages.
I want reports without header & footer that is not possible through GenServlet in my application.
So I have used another servlet called ServletForPrinting --- just for reading html file.
It is as follow:

It works fine and display report properly.
But now Problem is that if report is refreshed many times subsequently,
WebServer will not take any new change in any of java file used in web-application.
It works with the previous class only and not with updated one.
Then I need to touch it. As soon as I touch it, webserver will take updated class file.
Anybody has any idea regarding these situation?
Is there any bug in my ServletForPrinting.java ?
Any solution ????? Please suggest me.

I would strongly suggest at least reading this tutorial to give you an idea of why your fix worked (or maybe only appeared to work). Myself, I never just throw up my hands and say, "Whatever," and wash my hands of the situation without trying my best to understand just what fixed it. Guranteed you'll run into the same/similar problem and this time your fix won't work.
Please do yourself a favor and try to understand why it is working now, and save yourself (or more likely, the next poor dev to work on this project) some heartache.

Placing 2 Web items in the same place in a Dashboard

Hi,
I am creating a dashboard with 4 charts in a single page, 2 rows with 2 charts in each row. One requirement of mine is like, take a chart for example, when i first execute the template, it should display a Bar chart and then the same chart should change to Pie chart. One option of doing this is by adding the charts in a dropdown but the problem is i need both the charts in the same place. I couldnt place both the web items in the same place, also i am not sure about how to make both the charts display in the same place.
If anybody have come across this, help me in this.

This solution worked :-). I do have one more problem. I want a Text Item & a Dropdown item to be in the same row of the dashboard. i have already created a Dashboard item placed in a container. So, i have created one more container and placed the text item in that.
But when i go to Container Layout, in the Row selection, i couldnt see both the container and the text item in the Subordinate Web Item. I tried deleting the container and creating a new one again but the same problem is appearing. The newly created container is not seen in the Subordinate Web Item.
What could be the reason causing this problem?
Any help on this?

How to open the numbers window in the same place?

I like to have the Numbers window open in the same place every time (lower right hand corner of the screen), so that I can have the windows of other programs open too. As it is, I have to move it there every time. This isn't a big deal, I realize, but I didn't have to do that with the previous version: it always opened the window to the last place it was located when I closed the program the previous time.
Any tips would be appreciated!

Paste in the same place

I think I've seen this before in these pages, but I can't find it now I really need it.
Using CS3 on a Mac 10.4.11
I have two Photoshop documents of same size and resolution. I want to copy an item from one document into the same place in the other document. In Illustrator it would be "Paste in front/behind", in Quark or InDesign it would be "Paste in place"
What's the equivalent in Photoshop? (apart from setting up guides and snapping to them)

YOU can also select the layer/layers or group/groups in the layers panel.
in the flyout select duplicate layer/layers or group/groups and you get a popup dialog.
now you can rename and or target the dupes to any file you have open or to a new file.
layers will be in the same position as long as the file is the same size.
