Multiple R/3 Systems

We are going to get FILE(Invoices) to XI to IDOC (R/3)
We have TWO R/3 systems. The two R/3 systems are going to Use the SAME IDOC(Not sure whether it is a CUSTOM or SAP supplied one).
For the above scenario, should i need to build two message Mappings or one is sufficient if the Business rules are same? Whether it is feasible from XI Point of view? Please explain? Thanks a bunch.

Hi,
IF the structre and the mapping rule are the same. The you need
1. 1-MM,
2. 1-IM
3. 1-MI(For File), One-IDoc
4. In the receiver determination based on a condition you can route the data to the required R/3 system
5. Two Interface determination
4. Two receiver agreement.

  • [Forum FAQ] Schedule multiple versions of System Image Backup in Windows 8.1

As we known that there is no UI for user to configure Image backup in Windows 8.1, this is a guide for your to schedule multiple versions of System Image Backup.
Step 1: Create a task to schedule an image backup with following command:
    SCHTASKS /Create /SC WEEKLY /D MON /TN WeeklyFullBackup /RL HIGHEST /ST 13:00 /TR “wbAdmin Start Backup -backupTarget:F: -include:C: -allCritical -quiet”
Step 2: Schedule a robocopy to backup the saved image with BAT file:
Please create a new folder (in this example, the new folder is e:\test2) to save your multiple copies of image backup:
Write following batch file to copy backup and rename with backup date:
    *****************BAT********************
    @echo off
    robocopy e:\test1\ e:\test2\ test.wim
    ren e:\test2\test.wim  test_%date:~10,4%%date:~7,2%%date:~4,2%_%time:~0,2%%time:~3,2%.wim
NOTE: e:\test2 is my location to save multiple copies of image backup; e:\test1 is the location I create the system image backup.
This BAT can also help to rename the copy of image backup with date and time like below:
      3.  Set up a basic task in Task schedule:
Note: please make sure the time you configured follows the time you set for image backup in Step 1.
Action -> Create basic task (Name you task) -> Trigger (Set how often this task should be run) -> Action (Start a program) -> Under Program/script, point to your bat file you create in Step 2.b -> Finish
At the end, you can know more about SCHTASKS and Robocopy via following links:

  • Is it possible to connect multiple R/3 systems to one APO system?

    Hi,
Is it possible to connect multiple R/3 systems to one APO system?
    Kind regards,
    Kris De Smedt.

    Hi Kris,
Yes, you can connect multiple R/3 systems to one APO system. All you need to do is to maintain connection parameters of all the R/3 systems with APO. (i.e. RFC Destinations, logical systems, partner profiles etc.)

  • Multiple R/3 Systems - One XI

We have Multiple R/3 Systems( 5 Systems), one XI Server.
Whether it is possible for to Separate XI into 5 different areas, where we can process the messages for the 5 different R/3 Systems.
    Whether it is possible?

    Hi,
<i>Whether it is possible for to Separate XI into 5 different areas, where we can process the messages for the 5 different R/3 Systems</i>
Realtime implementations will be with one XI and multiple systems(R/3 or nonSAP systems).. So you can logically group your business process with the help of higher level SWCs and then namespace level.
So that's -XI is an centralized integration platform!!
I think, other replies will clear this post

  • Can i run multiple osx operating systems on my mac book pro?

hello, i was wondering if i can run multiple osx operating systems on my mac book pro? i currently have the latest version of lion but many of my applications require snow leopard to operate... thank you for any help.

The easiest solution is to partition your drive to provide a second partition on which you can install Snow Leopard. It need not be a large partition because you can still access applications on the other partition.
To resize the drive do the following:
    1. Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
After the main menu appears select Disk Utility and click on the Continue button. Select the hard drive's main entry then click on the Partition tab in the DU main window.
    2. You should see the graphical sizing window showing the existing partitions. A portion may appear as a blue rectangle representing the used space on a partition.
    3. In the lower right corner of the sizing rectangle for each partition is a resizing gadget. Select it with the mouse and move the bottom of the rectangle upwards until you have reduced the existing partition enough to create the desired new volume's size. The space below the resized partition will appear gray. Click on the Apply button and wait until the process has completed.  (Note: You can only make a partition smaller in order to create new free space.)
    4. Click on the [+] button below the sizing window to add a new partition in the gray space you freed up. Give the new volume a name, if you wish, then click on the Apply button. Wait until the process has completed.
You should now have a new volume on the drive.
It would be wise to have a backup of your current system as resizing is not necessarily free of risk for data loss.  Your drive must have sufficient contiguous free space for this process to work.

  • Quality Center Adapter - Connecting Multiple Solution Manager Systems

We are running Solution Manager 7/Enhp 1 and Quality Center 10 successfully using the Quality Center Adapter integration. My question is, can we connect multiple Solution Manager systems (i.e. SMP/SMS/SMX) to a single Quality Center server simultaneously? Or is there a one-to-one relationship restriction. Thanks.

I have answered this question in this post below:
    http://forums.sdn.sap.com/thread.jspa?threadID=2110531&messageID=10962875#10962875
    To quote myself
Each tie up is based on the logical ports at the Solution Manager end and the relationship between the two entities is between Projects. So if you set up the configuration like you would in a normal scenario and at the right moment, connect the projects in SolMans to the corresponding projects in HPQC, you should be fine.
    Hope that helps.

  • Are there suggestions for managing Multiple VMWare Fusion systems sharing files with a MacBook?  Suppose I have enough ram for 3 servers to share files.

Suppose I have enough ram for 2 or three VMWare fusion systems to that could benefit from file sharing.  Is it possible to configiure each VMWare funsion instance to have a common read only file share on my desktop and a common read/write area on on my desktop?
This would allow me to extend the power and mustle of my Mac Book Air, Retina Display system to its best advantage.  Whether native Mac processing or speciality linux or Windows systems as needed.
I am having trouble allowing more than one system to share the same read only and the same read/write areas so that software does the file locking and merge controls.  Even if these do not share a common read/write area, it would be truly handy for drive space management for them to share a common read only area.
    Thanks for your thoughtful input.

    Don

It really denpends on the os running in the vm and what the permissions are set to on those shares.
I run a few vms on both a mac at home and windows at work and all other computers in my home or at work can connect to the vms without any problems. Even multiple computer at the same time.
It also depends on how you have set the vm up for networking. If you are setting it up as nat, instead of bridged, that can also cause problems access it from multiple system. With nat the vm is on its own network branch.

  • N:1 replication from multiple ERP source systems on different EHP levels

    Hello,
The situation is that the customer has multiple ERP systems on different EHP levels. Therefore, in newer EHP systems, some tables will have different structure (additional columns). The intention is to setup N:1 replication into one target DB schema
Would this be possible to support/setup in SLT ? How would the different table structure be handled?
    Thanks and best regards,
    Cosmin

    Hi Cosmin,
I think this can be achieved. First of all you have to investigate which structures are available for the different releases. At the and the target structure has to consist of all available fields with the same name.
Before oyu start with the replication you have to specify the same target structure for all configuration.
What SLT is doing during the mapping from the source structure to the target structure is a "move-corresponding" command. So it is important that the names of the fields are the same. At the end you will have sometimes fields filled, sometimes not (depending if this field is in the source filled).
Let me know if you need further input.
    Best,
    Tobias

  • Same idoc to multiple EDI receiver system using rule

    Dear Friends!
Good day!  I am using desadv.delvry03 idoc and I want to send same idoc from same communication component to multiple receiver parties without mapping.
I have created first scenario successfully using idoc, when I create another scenario it gives me message like "Object already exist" .  for that I have to use Service interface.  I dont want to use service interface for this purpose.  In my scenarios mapping is not even required. one idoc to and multiple receivers thats it.
Can you please guide me how to do the above requirement ?
your any help will be appreciated greatly
    Thanking you
    Regards
    Dipen

    Hi,
For this... U can create 1 sender agreent for that idoc if necesseary....otherwise we dont required IDOC sender Agreement.
Then Create 1 reciver determination in that u can mention the 2 recivers details...
same thing for interface determination also.
and finally create 2 reciver agreement and 2 reciver communication channels for 2 systems.
Let me know if you require any further information.
    Thanks,
    Sreenivas

  • Connect one SAP BW system to multiple R/3 systems

    Hi All,
Has anyone done a connection of one SAP BW system to multiple SAP R/3 systems. I know it is theretically possible, but please let me know if anybody has experience of doing it. Our scenario is that take HR data from one R/3 system and other modules data from another R/3 system.
Also please let me know the steps of connecting the systems, the do's and dont's and any special config that needs to be done.
    Also what are the risks?
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Rajib

    Hello,
after you connected the new source system, there are some additional steps to do. But this is common for all new source systems:
-> Set conversion of source system names in RSA1. This is necessary for Transport of Objects in BW. Go to RSA1->Tools->Conversion of Logical System Names
-> Set Assignment of Source System to Source System ID. You also find this under RSA1-> Tools. This is only important if you use a Source system ID like in IO 0SOURSYSTEM.
-> Replicate Application Component Structure of DataSources. Therefore go to DataSources. Select your Source System (If you are on BI 7.0) and go to the Header, right click you mouse and replicate Tree Metadata and then replicate DataSource.
    Best regards,
    Peter

  • Material Replication from Multiple R/3 System to SRM

    Hi,
Please help me reagrding the below error.....!
I am trying to replicate material from two backend (r/3) systems, i am getting an error  (Exception condition "LOGSYS_FOR_GUID_CHANGED" raised.).
    Regards,
    Nish Kel

    Hi
    Check the note 765018.
In case of multiple backends and also if systems are refreshed with other instances (client copy), the logical system ID will be changed.
So we need to run the report mentioned in the said note and run the replication.

  • RSIMPCURR to run for multiple R/3 systems

We have one BW system being fed by 3 different ECC systems.  Each ECC system has it's own table of currency exchanges.  One system converting to Euros, a second system converting to British Pounds and a third system converting to US Dollars.  We need BW to be updated with data from all three tables.
From what I can glean from documentation, the variant for source system for the RSIMPCURR program cannot be set in the ABAP variant screen but can only be set from the Source System tree in the BW workbench - at which point you select one and only one source.   Is there anyway to modify the process to allow BW to be updated from multiple source systems?

To create a Variant to update your currency exchange rates in BW, with the exchange rates table data from each of the source systems, do the following:
    1) Go into the Transfer Exchange Rates for the first source R3/ECC system you want to extract exchange rates from.
    2) The system name will come in defaulted and grayed out.
    3) Update the Exhange Rates selection criteria (if any) and select the Update Exchange Rates radio button.
    4) Go to the menu path Goto > Variants > Save as Variant.
    5) Enter a logical Variant Name and Description and Save
    6) Repeat Steps 1-5 for the other two source R3/ECC systems.
Once you're done with this, you will have three separate variants (one for each source R3/ECC system) that you can use in three separate ABAP Process Variants within a Process Chain to execute the RSIMPCURR ABAP program to update the exchange rate table in BW.

  • Accesing multiple R/3 systems from WD application

    Hi guys,
I need to access multiple SAP R/3 systems from my WD application. What all SLD configurations do I need to make in order to get the references of different R/3 systems while creting RFC models in my WD application.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    VaibhaV

    Hi ArulRaja,
Thanks for those inputs. Well now I've few more queries. When you say register your R/3 system with SLD using TCode rz70, from where can I execute this transaction? Is it from Web Dynpro configuration screen of WAS? If you can guide me with the path to be followed for the same, It would be of great help for me to make sure I am doing it the right way.
About creating JCo destinations, I did not find any option to add multiple JCo destinations. So I did it the reverse way. I know this is not the correct way of doing it but I was unable to create multiple JCo destinations, and moreover it worked!
I first created a RFC model, on the screen where we give reference of the RFC meta & metadata destination, I changed the name to a non existing destination. I entered the RFC system details while creating the model only. And after saving the model, when I went back to the JCo destination maintenance screen I could see the names I mentioned while creating the model.

  • Multiple wireless speaker system?

    Greetings,
I own a retail store (1200 sq/ft) and would like to setup a wireless speaker system.  What I envision is the ability to stream (iTunes or Pandora, etc) from an iMac to multiple wireless speakers (4-6) throughout the store.  Questions I have;  Is this possible?  If so how is it configured, through Bluetooth, Airplay, Airport?  Any advice on good quality speakers that can accomplish this task is also greatly appreciated.  I am trying to take advantage of my Mac network of iMacs, iphone, ipad without going to a standard in-wall/ceiling receiver system.  Many thanks for the advice!!!

Ok cool so its doable and I was also reading about Airfoil for Pandora and the like.  Next question is about the speakers.  I have done quite a bit of searching but it does not appear that one can purchase Airplay ready 7.1 surround system, true?  Basically what I would like is to position 4-6 smaller bookshelf like speakers around the store.  What Im not interested in is one single standalone speaker.  I want the sound volume to be even throughout the store rather than a booming focal point.  Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!

  • Multiple Threads Using System.out.println...

i have a client server app and each client that connects to the server has its own thread.
i am running the server on a pc using windows xp and to run it i just use a bat file which uses cmd.exe and my output using System.out.println prints out in the cmd.exe.
each of my threads is using System.out.println to send debug info and outs quite often.
after the screen fills a scroll bar appears at the right and you can scroll back to see past output.
my app is all running ok but when i had a ton of output coming in all at once i tried to scroll back to see the older output and realized that if i click down on the scroll bar and fight the new input it freezes my server app. then when i release it it continues lol.
it made me wonder if output from multiple threads when there are many all at once (say 20 or 30 threads all outputing at the exact same time) could cause a slow down or effect the performance of the server?
i use a debug variable so i can just turn this output 100 % off except for critical errors so there would be no output but i am just curious as to whether or not it may be causing problems when its on.

That's not a performance issue, I guess System.out.println() simply gets blocked by the console while you're scrolling and thus your app stalls, until you stop doing that.
Maybe you should look into logging.

  • When closing 2 windows(with multiple tabs each), system restore does not properly restore the second window's tabs. Is this a bug in the new update/any ideas to fix?

I regularly use 2 windows with multiple tabs each and session restore would work to get them all back, but after this latest update the second window does not restore properly, with the first tab not visible on top(only in drop down menu) and the add a tab button now on the left(instead of right). The add a tab button is not really concerning other than it indicates other problems with the tabs on tab of the 2nd window. Not having the 1st tab visible is frustrating, because I can not move it or as easily navigate. Also, the tabs on top of the 2nd window that are visible no longer have the "x" to close visible unless that tab is selected. I'm assuming this is a problem with the new release/update, since this is the first time I've ever encountered the problem, and I've shut down and restored Firefox a few times to make sure this was a recurring problem and not a one-time deal. Any ideas on how to fix would be welcome(other than perhaps cramming my tabs onto one window or sucking it up XD).
