Multiple repeats of the same person when I sync
Each time I sync, my addresses get multiplied. It ends up that I am now up to 6 or more copies for a single individual.
I am syncing two computers, the iphone 4, yahoo, mobile me and gmail.
HELP!
You are probably syncing in too many different ways at the same time: you have to decide whether to use mobileme, itunes, or gmail. I had this problem, since I pay for mobileme anyway I decided to use that. So you have to deselect the sync through itunes and also make sure that your gmail sync isn't doing contacts. Same for yahoo sync.
Then you'll have to clean up the mess. I would suggest cleaning it up on your mac by having it merge duplicates if you have them and then doing a one-time sync back to your phone. Make sure everything that's on your phone is on the mac before you say yes to deleting what's on the phone.

Multiple Faces for the same person

When tagging photos there are multiple entries for the same person listed. In particular for three people (my kids) who have a lot of photos for each person. On the Cork board there is only one entry per person, so this is not a multiple face entry there.
I was living with this for a while, but now I have my iPhone and can sync faces photos with it, I can see again there are multiple entries listed for these three people, yet there's nothing I can do in iPhoto to consolidate them.
Has anyone else come across this (like the person in the above thread - which didn't get answered) and found a solution to fix up iPhoto? Clearly it's something odd going on in the Faces database thinking there are different entries tagged, but is still showing them together in the Cork Board.I would like to know how you got the multiple entries to appear. I'm having the same problem with my daughter. The only issue is, she is two and does not have any address book entries. I think I may have typed her name out several times when adding her name to a face instead of associating the photo with the existing entry. iPhoto recognizes they are the same places in some places, but not in others. When I sync my phone I get my husband's phone contact list, apps, etc and the same happens when he syncs his phone. It does recognize our phones as different users so how can I stop this from happening when we sync?
Did you tick the box in iTunes to sync with the Mac address book? Are you using the same user account on your Mac, with the same contacts in the same address book?

We have an issue where customers are sending us multiple payments and they come in the same deposit. When payment predictor runs, it is applying both the payments to the same Item using different algorithms. I would think when an Item is selected by 1 payment it should be tagged like it is on a payment worksheet and another payment should not try to apply it to the same item. Ex: we have an Item with balance $1356. Two payments came in for the same customer for $992 and $1356 in the same deposit. Payment predictor applied both payments to the same Item using #BALANCE and #OLDESTC algorithm. The Item now has a balance of -$992. Did anyone else see this issue?

How about paying both the amounts(status paid) and then do a transfer to SLA.

*** Receiving multiple emails from the same person
This is a new issue that started happening today and I'm wondering if someone can help.
When receiving emails today, they are duplicating as they are coming into my inbox. The wierd thing is, the amount of duplicate emails is inconsistent. All emails are coming in as duplicates, but some messages duplicate up to 7 times for each sender. Other times, the message is in my inbox 4 times. Same message from the same sender.
Is there a way I can tell my MacMail to stop this from happening???
Thanks in advance.People keep reporting this problem from time to time, and almost always it is some sort of Yahoo account and there is nothing the user can do to fix it. The problem usually fixes itself after some time for no apparent reason, just as it started.
Try using a different mail client, such as Thunderbird, and see whether the problem happens there as well. If so, then you know Mail has no bearing on it and there is nothing you can do other than complaining to your ISP or whoever is responsible for that account. -
How do you plot multiple curves on the same graph when using a while loop?
I am writing a program that will plot the IV Output chracterisitcs curves for a MOSFET transistor. I have two sweep variables Vg and Vd. For each Vg valve selected, Vd is swept from its start to stop voltage creating a graph for that Vg valve. Both of the sweeps are done using while loops. Ideally I would like to display all of the Vg plots on the same graph while having the ability to do real-time graphing. Can anyone help me figure this problem out? I have attached my program. I expected, that an Applications Engineer from NI knows something about a Transistor and how an Output characteristic looks like !! Take a look to a typical Transistor Datasheet ( e.g. n-channel MOSFET) - you will see, that there is no relation of ID vs Time like in your example ( values vs time ) but IDrain vs VDrain at different VGate's ( no relation to Mr. Bill Gates ).
Find attached a vi, that in general does what you need - drawing of curves vs x-axis (XY-graph in use) - in test_sweep.zip. And that you geet an impression, how it might be done ...... dynamic Output characteristic of a Transistor with Standard Equipment of a Lab ( Scope + Generator + Power Supply ) find in addition a Frontpanel - picture. One of the interesting points here is - the self-heating effect; visible on ch3 of scope - 5µs Pulse is already a very long time...... This measurement was done in order to compare with our own Transistors.........
Hope this helps a little bit to understand, what we are talking about.

My itunes library has multiple repeats of the same album
How do I condense the itunes library to only show the album once and move all the tracks under the same album ?
Generally setting a common Album title and Album Artist will fix things.

When I try to update Firefox it repeatedly says Firefox must be closed to proceed with install even tho Firefox is closed. I get the same message when I try to uninstall the existing version of Firefox. How do I close Firefox??? The same thing happens when I try to update other programs. When a program is off what else do I have to do to turn it off??
If you get an error message that you do not have sufficient permissions or have other problems with updating to update then easiest is to download the full version and trash the currently installed version to do a clean install of the new version.
Download a new copy of the Firefox program and save the DMG file to the desktop

No. Unfortunately, you can't combine Apple IDs togetehr, even if you own them all.

Previously iChat had tried a Last Chat/IM option when using Saved Transcripts - which itself was an option.
iChat has also tried "Saving" the Last Chat by leaving a Chat window open and using something similar to the Lion method of showing an app in the state is was closed in.
In Messages the option to Save Transcripts has been removed and Chats or all types are saved as a matter of course.
What this tends to mean for your iChat style Buddy Chats is that it opens all the Transcripts for that buddy as a sort of History you can scroll back through if you want (I have some Buddies with saved chats gong back to 2004)
With the Syncing of iMessages with iPhones and iPads (or Touches) then it seems this works slightly differently.
Although you can delete the chat and the contents of the Chat as separate action it is true that in the Beta as soon as you connect to the same Contact that the contents of the previous chats are shown to you.
I have found that Messages stores a data base of info on iMessages in Your Home Folder/Library/Messages
I have found that deleting this chat-db removes the "History" that keep popping up.
By default the Saved "iChats" are also stored in the Home Folder/Documents/iChats (At least this is the default place iChat used and they go to the same iChats folder where ever you had it)
Some people claim removing iMessages saved here stops the "History" reappearing.
In Lion the only access to the Home Folder/Library is via the Finder's Go Menu and hiding down the ALT key

Question
I can no longer (since upgrading to the latest firefox) open up multiple tabs of the same page (something I need to be able to do when emailing and referencing multiple emails while writing one email). The only option it gives me is to 'switch to tab'.I'll try to make this clear. I USED to be able to left click on a hyper link and the hyper link would open in a NEW tab. Now for some unknown reason the hyper link by default opens in the same tab (window). I have to right click the hyper link in order for it to open in a NEW tab. (Yes, my 'tools'> 'options'> 'tabs' are set to "open new windows in a new tab." (Please no answers telling me to get rid of the Ask toolbar because I don't have one.) Thank you.

Details: Another try in fixing this bug. When legacy-collection is false, Actionscript Array on the client becomes Java Array on the server and my fix yesterday assumed this case. However, when legacy-collection is true, Actionscript Array becomes Java ArrayList on the server. So added code to handle this case.

When I'm sending a imessage to the same person sometimes it goes as a imessage
why when I'm sending a imessage to the same person to changes from imessage to text and do they receive the text?
If not connected to WiFi or cellular data, iMessages will go as SMS. Also, if the receipent has iMessage turned off, or not connected to WiFi or cellular data, they will go as SMS.
