Multiple S650s in single domain

I just recently purchased two S650s for my organization assuming that it could be configured like our C150s (clustered). Now that I actually hooked up the second device I found my assumption to be wrong. What is the best way to configure them for load balancing with a single domain using a single Cisco Router with transparent redirection. I already configured them both almost identically and they appear to be load-sharing the client traffic. I just wanted to verify there isn't a better way.

I have the devices configured for client-based load-balancing. Everything appears to be working. I also notice on my daily reports that the devices have a evenly distributed number of clients attached to each device. I think this load-balancing and fail-over option will meet our needs better than just a fail-over cluster configuration. Being that my organization is small, my cpu load on each device is extremely small. I was just wondering what the refresh time is as far as client connections? Will I get a daily report for each device that contains all clients or will the report look like it does now in the morning with just a split group of clients on each device?

I'm not sure what a "domain" is in this context. I suppose it depends on the J2EE server you're using. Weblogic has something called a "domain", and sure in that server you can deploy multiple EARs in one domain, and there can be multiple domains.

Multiple SOA clusters within a Single Domain

Hi All,
We're looking at a scenario where there would be multiple SOA clusters within a single domain. Would that be possible to do? I mean I can create multiple SOA clusters but it seems that applications deployed to one of the 2 SOA clusters seem to go into an inconsistent state. Please advise. Thank you.

This is just because all SOA servers in a domain will refer to one(same) SOAINFRA schema for SOA deployments info and hence belong to same logical group (cluster) and that's the reason why you cann't even have two separate SOA managed servers without a cluster.

I have a problem about configure DNS for KMS host. My company use a single domain "abc.com". But I must mange more than 10 company different and they use another domain and dns running independently, they have a one lease line connect them together.
My challenge is how to active all client on more than 10 company. Any ideas is very appreciate.

Publishing to Multiple DNS Domains
By default, the KMS host is registered only in the DNS domain to which the host belongs. If the network environment has only one DNS domain, no further action is required.
If there is more than one DNS domain name, you can create a list of DNS domains for a KMS host to use when publishing its SRV RR. Setting this registry value suspends the KMS host’s default behavior of publishing only in the domain specified as the Primary
DNS Suffix.
Optionally, add priority and weight parameters to the
DnsDomainPublishList registry value for KMS. This feature enables you to establish KMS host priority groupings and weighting within each group to define which KMS host to try first and balance traffic among multiple KMS hosts.
Note DNS changes might not be reflected until all DNS servers have been replicated. Changes made too frequently (time < replication time) can leave older records if the change is performed on a server that has not been
replicated.
To automatically publish KMS in multiple DNS domains, add each DNS domain suffix to whichever KMS should publish to the multi-string registry value

OIM provisioning to Multiple Domain Controllers of a single Domain

Hi experts !
Our client has offices in different parts of country and they are using MS AD. We have to integrated this AD with OIM. The issue we are facing is that there is a cluster of domain controllers (DC) at each location for example NewYork, Dallas and Ohio and OIM is being deployed in NY. All the DC at all location are part of a single domain "example.com" and they is no child domain.
Now if a User Administrator in Ohio logs in to this central OIM online and creates / modifies user profile of a user in AD, it means that the OIM will create / update the user profile in the DC placed in NY and through AD replication, it will be pushed to Ohio.
As the communication between few sites is not reliable, thus managers at these locations will have to bear the delays if the replication between DCs takes time even when they have modified the resource profile in OIM.
Is it a possibility that the user administrator at location A, when modifies the user resource profile, the modifications is carried out in the DC of location A? for example, if the administrator in Ohio logs in, whenever, he changes the profile, OIM modifies the profile in DC placed at Ohio?
I have gone through "Configuring the Connector for Multiple Installations of the Target System" in MS AD connector Documentation but i am uncertain whether this "target system" means DC of same domain or different child domains?
Any help / idea would be really appreciated.

initially i was of the idea to place OIM servers at each location with DB at a central point. However, there are more than a dozen such locations! have you come accross any such scenario where more than 12 machines running OIM at different places point to a central DB? i was a bit reluctant in proposing such design due to network instability. So we decided to deploy OIM at a single location in cluster mode and admins at each location will access this single instance (cluster) over the WAN. This cluster will populate domain controller at this specific location and will be replicated through AD replication.
But now the analysis team has pointed out the problem scenario as i have mentioned in my earlier post. so we are in a bit fix how to handle this situation :-s

yes. this is possible. OIM allow this.
obviously the recon rule would be employee number or anything other than ' sAmAccontName' for target recon
while provisioning make sure you are generating unique sAmAccountName and Common Name(if in same OU) for same user
If you maintain above no issue having multiple account for a sing user in single domain

On the VESA - the Recipient Access Table (RAT) will control which domains your appliance accepts for.
AsyncOS uses a Recipient Access Table (RAT) for each public listener to manage accept and reject actions for recipient addresses. Recipent addresses include these:
•Domains
•Email addresses
•Groups of email addresses
This is covered in detail in the "Overview of Accepting or Rejecting Connections Based on the Recipient’s Address" section.

Create multiple SOA Clusters in a single domain?

Is it allowed to create multiple SOA Clusters in a single domain with both SOA Clusters sharing the same soa-infra schema but deploying different composites?
Create a domain with
- Admin server (AdminServer)
- SOA_Cluster1
-soa_server1
-soa_server2
- SOA_Cluster2
-soa_server3
-soa_server4
SOA_Cluster1 will need to deploy servcies A, B and C and SOA_Cluster2 will have services A, D and E. Is there any documentation which can help us with this?

Thanks for the document link but it seems that the document was created only yesterday. Can you elaborate on "only one set of SOA schemas is allowed per SOA domain/cluster". I was able to build another SOA cluster_2 to my existing domain with SOA_cluster1 pretty successfully. The only problem was the internal JMS queues were configured as Uniform Distributed. hence i was not able to point them to 2 clusters.

Multiple Sites - Single domain - Server 2008r2

Hi,
I have six (6) sites all connected to a Head Office site by a high speed VPN. Currently all use different domain names on their local servers but with new hardware coming i would like to have all sites share the one single domain name for simplicity.
Head Office has two (2) AD Servers configured handling DNS, DHCP (split scope) etc, both are GC's for redundancy.
For the branches i was considering setting these up as Secondary AD servers with the Head Office domain and as GC's too. Each branch server will have their own DHCP scope for their networks and DNS forwarded to Head Office AD servers. Each branch server
will also be used for file and printer sharing.
I need to make sure local users to the branch servers authenticate on their own AD server and not hit Head Office which would slow down the process a little.
Is the above the correct way to do this?

Sounds like you want to configure a Hub and Spoke model, with the Spokes being the branch offices. This is a good topology. By default when a branch office is configured the DC for that spoke (Defined by the subnets in that physical site) the
dcLocator process on each client will default to the local DC unless there are problems that force the client to reach out. As far as forwarding there is no such thing from a DC perspective but there is from a DNS perspective.
So after you build out your new domain just make sure you follow the best practice for Sites and Serviecs and you should be good to go.

Two-way forest trust between two (single domain) forests with multiple identical user ID's

Domain and forest levels - Windows 2003 (they both have one 2008 R2 DC)
We need to create a two-way forest trust between two separate single-domain forests. The problem is that these two forests already access each others resources through a S2S. Users have the same login names and passwords on both forests/domains. Now, we
are combining their infrastructures and need to set up a trust. From what I'm reading, you can't create forest trusts if you have the same SIDs, user ID's, or computer name in each of the forests.
I'm looking into AD migration tool to copy the userSIDs (SID history?) between forest/domain, deleting the user ID's in the domain we migrated from, and then setting up the trust, but I'm leery about doing it this way as there is no easy 'recovery' should
something go wrong.
Any suggestions for the easiest way to setup this forest trust?

Hi,
To eliminate your worries, two user accounts have the same user name doesn’t mean that they have the same SID. Moreover, the user’s SID remains the same even after it has been renamed.
The SID for domain account/group consists of a
Domain Identifier and a Relative Identifier. Domain Identifier is unique in every domain within a forest, and a Relative Identifier is unique within domain. It is unlikely that two user accounts with or without the same account
name from two forests have the same SID.
The Technet article you mentioned is talking about duplicate SIDs instead of “duplicate computer name or user account”, I will submit a change request to Microsoft about this.
If there are duplicate SIDs when you create forest trust, you need to delete one of them as the article guides.

I may have some terminology incorrect...please let me know if I do. :)
My question is, how many ADFS farms can you have in a single forest/single domain? If you want to know why I am asking...please read on.
We have 1 ADFS Farm and we are looking adding services to it. However not every cloud vendor provides a "Identity Broker" with there services.
We have a consultant that is advising that we need to enable a SAML-based IdP-initiated single sign-on (SSO) ie using "IdpInitiatedSignOnPage"
However to do this we need to modify the ADFS website to have "drop down" list so the user can select the "Relying Party" and then authentication with them.
This means we are exposing a list of every company/party we have federated with. The exposure of this information, is deemed a security concern by our company....which I agree with.
So the consultant advises that we need a separate ADFS farm. I have searched online, but haven't found any information that confirms multiple ADFS farms can be implemented in a single forest/single domain.

This is not exactly FIM related question - there is ADFS forum available on Technet. However - technically there is no limit of ADFS farms in a forest \ domain. It is just a service which uses AD and is not altering it in any way or storing some forest-wide
information like Exchange. So you can setup two ADFS services in single forest - no problem.
If it is a best solution to your problem? I can't say with that limited information but maybe just customization of pages on ADFS side would be enough?

have question...my company have a main office and several branch offices...at present each location have individual domains and no trust relations between each other...now all are operating independently...I m planing to consolidate branch office DC to head
office..I know about two way trust concepts...but the the another approach I am looking in to is the OU level domain hierarchy to simplify the process...I mean keep main office domain as a main domain and add other branch offices as OUs under the main domain...then
restrict the permission and admin rights to each location`s system admin.. As its 2012 domain i think we can apply group policies on OU level which applied to those particular branch office users...also users from one branch can use their log in ID in all
locations.....is this single domain approach is industry slandered..?..also is there any possible challenges on this concept ..? compared to the traditional forest concept of multiple domains?? Looking for your expert advice.

Double click printer icon on desktop,
Select Scan a Document or Photo,
Put the first page on the glass (face down),
Check options (size, dpi ...), and select Scan document to file,
Click Scan - machine will scan the first page
Remove the first page on the glass, put the second page,
Click + (plus sign) It sits on the left hand side of a red x
Machine will scan the second page, put 3rd page on the glass and click + again ..... to the end then click Save
Click Done after Save

correct credential but unable to access that. If i re-share the folder then we are access it but when we are restarted the system then same problem is occurring.
I have checked IP,DNS,Gateway and more each & everything is well.

According to your description, my understanding is that the same shared folder can be accessed by name, but can’t be accessed be IP address and asks for credentials.
Please try to enable the option below on the device which has shared folder:
Besides, check the Advanced Shring settings of shared folder and confrim that if there is any limitation settings.

In this case, the ImageLoader.as works only on the last movie clip from the for loop. For example, if i am trying to load three image in three movie clips namely img_mc1,img_mc2 and img_mc3 using the for loop and ImageLoader.as, I am getting the image loaded in the third movie clip only img_mc.
See at the same time, If i uncomment onething in the for loop that is

its working like a charm. But I know creating class objects in a for loop is not a good idea and also its causes some other problems in my application.
So, help to get rid out of this problem.
