Multiple same artists and albums missing, need some help pleas
Hi,
I just bought a Creative Zen mp3 player and for some reason, when I edit the name and info of my songs (artist, genre, album...ect...) , my player won't pick it up properly. I can have 2 or 3 different "Beatles" under artist, yet, they are spelled EXACTLY the same way. (capital letter, space, eveything is the same)
Now I used to have the same problem with my Creative Zen V Plus but I was always able to make it work after doing some copy & paste while editing the tracks info. This time, it's not working.
My second problem is the one that really bugs me the most. When I select certain artists on my player, some of the albums are missing. Ex: I select "Beatles" in my artists list and then I'm expecting to find all the albums but there are only 2 showing. Yet, if I go in the albums list,there're all gonna be there. And?as I said, the names & different info are all spelled properly. EVERYTHING IS THE SAME ! I spend alot of time editing my tracks info because I want everything to be organised perfectly on my player and it's getting really frustrating.
Anyone has a solution? thank you so much !
I am having a very similar problem. I had the problem, was told about Media Monkey, organized everything through Media Monkey, deleted all my songs off my Zen X-Fi 6GB and reloaded my songs. Again songs are missing. Here is the interesting thing. Media Monkey shows 273 items in the playlist and my Zen shows 273 songs So where are they?
I too am getting VERY FRUSTRATED! Please let me know if you find a solution!!

Same artist and albums being duplicated
On my ipod the same artist is being copied and listed more than once even though they are spelled exactly the same. Within the duplicates the albums are also being copied, the songs however are not, they are being divided up leading to a very cluttered and confusing arrangment on my ipod. Can someone please tell me whats goin on?!
A spelling or punctuation mistake, or sometimes a trailing space usually causes this after the artists and/or song name, which fools the iPod into thinking that there are two different artists or songs. The trailing space is the hardest to spot. Best way to cure this is to go into iTunes, highlight that artist and/or songs, right click on them and select "get info". This brings up the multiple song info window. In the artist or song box retype the name, as you would like it, and then click ok. Re sync this new artist/song info to your iPod.

I am the biggest "Newb" on this site, and I really need some help please..
Ok, the short of it.... I started training on Database programming about 2 weeks ago. I still don't really know a thing, or even understand the concepts. Now, my boss wants me to fix a bug in Oracle, and I haven't a clue. The ONLY help I've gotten was a link to this forum, and a speech about how I need to help myself. I told him I have the same chance of fixing anything, as monkeys typing hamlet. Anyone up for a challenge?
When I go to Application System, then Application Entry and enter the password a dialog box appears.... "FRM-40039: Cannot attatch library Empower while opening from APPUSRAPP."
That's what I have to fix. I have no clue. I don't even really know how to click around in this program. Please help, someone.
UPDATE: I've been told that everyone's pretty much going to be a jerk to me for asking this, and I'm currently searching old threads and can't find a way to delete this one I posted. So, you could just ignore the post, or jump in and be the internet tough-guy and tell me what I already know.... I'm a newb.

A lot of artists and albums missing since the last time I used iTunes.
The last time I used iTunes was a while ago, back then I was able to type out bands such as Leaves' Eyes, or Tyr's older album works etc. Now iTunes doesn't have them anymore. What happened? Why can I not find Leaves' Eyes or Three Days Grace: Life Starts Now? And no I did try different country, so don't even bother suggesting.
Now that my PC had to rip tunes from CDs onto iTunes from scratch due to reinstalling xp, it can't find albums for those respective bands.Now I'm clear on what you're asking.
Dave's right - artists or distributors sometimes pull their content from the iTunes store. Who knows exactly why?
A few years back, NBC pulled TV shows here in the USA, but then added them back later:

My advice is to contact those artists/labels and see if tey give you any answer why they pulled from Apple.
Also, see if another mp3 download store in Wales has them for sale. They might be on Amazon UK. There are some other music services not available to me in the USA - perhaps they have moved there for distribution. They also might be on emusic UK, although that is a subscription service and eMusic's downloader is clunky.
Most legit online mp3 stores have downloader programs that automatically add tracks to itunes. I really like the Amazon USA store, myself. -
Organizing albums with same artist and album name
This has bothered me for some time.
I have Bob Dylan's 1973 album titled "Dylan," as well as his 2-disc greatest hits of the same name. iTunes has merged the albums together. I made sure the release dates on the songs are different, and even tried changing the sort titles, but iTunes still treats them as one album and mixes the songs together.
Is there any way I can teach/tell iTunes that these albums should be organized separately??

There is Bob Dylan's Greatest Hits in 1967 and Bob Dylans Greatest Hits Volume 2 in 1971.

Widget creation on Flex builder and related problems - need some help

I am trying to create a widget like application and it seems
I have made a mistake. As you know, desktop widgets are like small
stickers, they do not appear on taskbar and can be hidden or
docked.
The problem is that I created an AIR application using Flex
Builder 3 Beta and now I cannot find how to make that application
behave like custom-shaped window. My app appears on Windows taskbar
and I don't want it. When I drag the window (which is a custom
shape) it shows that nasty dragging rectangle around it.
As far as I found out (and tried it) I need to use cod like:
var initOptions:NativeWindowInitOptions = new
NativeWindowInitOptions();
initOptions.systemChrome = NativeWindowSystemChrome.NONE;
initOptions.type = NativeWindowType.UTILITY;
to hide my window from the taskbar. But it seems I cannot use
such a code for class mx:Application. Or can I (would be grateful
for some idea)?
The main question is:
if I want to migrate my app to that NativeWindow based
solution - then NativeWindow is not an mx class and I cannot find
how I will use Flex Builder Design mode to arrange my GUI elements.
Is it somehow possible to wrap my mx:Application inside
NativeWindow and do not have to migrate the design from mxml files
to pure ActionScript?

ITunes 12 sorting artists and albums wrong/out of order

So I'm using iTunes 12, though this problem occurred with 11 too...
As you can see in the image, I'm using Mac DeMarco as an example, it happens with selected other artists too. I have two albums of his, yet they don't appear together and there are multiple instances of the artist. Even the albums don't appear together. Both of them have the same "Artist" and "Album Artist" information.

Here's the second instance. Note, the artist appears amongst the "D" artists, after Deftones for some reason, instead of "M" with the other album:
What is going on? Please help.Enable the Sort Artist and Sort Album Artist columns, chances are that the fields have been set inconsistently.

I need some help resizing my images on PS6. I am using a mac and have been trying to resize with same resolution and constaining proportions but for some reaseon the smaller resized image appears pizelated. Heres an image of before and after. The first image I use is a JPG 72dpi 1500px x1500px and I want to downsize it to 600x600px same res, but it keeps pixelating, this has never happened before. Any suggestions, thoughts?

See if there's a non-explicit version and download that? Just download the individual songs you want, and not the others?

Ok i have indesign CS6 and all files are stored on a 10.7.5 MAC server. This just started happening. When I open a file indesigns is creating a textfile in the same folder? I need some help on this.
Ask in the ID forum and be much more specific about your configuration. there could be any number of reasons why manifests, temp files or restore files are created.

I need help manually managing music- I only want select artists and albums in bulk

I am currently trying to sync music with a new Ipod (120GB) and am having diffuculty.
What I have done: I have checked the 'Manually manage music' box and am able to select music I want to sync with the Ipod no the 'Music' Page of the Ipod.
What I am trying to do: I have over 400GB of music, so I only want to select certain artists and albums. In this case I am trying to select batches of music to take across to another PC in alphabetical order. In other words, I want to select all Artists and Albums starting with the letters A, B and C.
What I want to know how to avoid: I am currently being forced to click on every single artist and album starting with A, B and C individually which as you can imagine is taking hours!!! I want to be able to select all artists or albums starting at one point and ending at another point, without having to click individually on each and every line item.
Please help! This is going to take me forever!
KCMEnable the sidebar with CTRL+S if not there
Create a playlist with CTRL+N
Go to the Songs view.
Click the heading of the Album column until it reads Album
Select the first track of the first album
Scroll down the list until you see the last track of the last album beginning with C
Hold down shift and click that last track
Drag the selection to the playlist name and let go
Click the heading of the Album column until it reads Album by Artist
Select the first track of the first album
Scroll down the list until you see the last track of the last album beginning with C
Hold down shift and click that last track
Drag the selection to the playlist name and let go, don't copy duplicates
Drag this playlist to the device, or better yet go to automatic syncing and sync the playlist. You can then edit for the next update when the device isn't connected. You can also create additional playlists for stuff you "must have" on the iPod, new stuff etc. Automatic syncing is easier, more powerful, and more selective than manual management.

Artist and Album Panes in Organizer View of Media Sourc
When I plug in my older Zen Nomad, I see three panes in the organizer view for the player's library (select the player in the Sources pane)?-- the larger track pane to the right, full height, and an artist and album pane in the middle, split vertically. When I plug in my new Zen Vision:M, I only see the single track listing pane when I select the player (or select the Music folder). The artist and album panes are missing. I can't find any way to make them visible. How do I do that?Thanks much,Paul?
Right now, I have have everything installed on my PC?(MediaSource, both plug-ins, and the NOMAD driver). Obviously both devices have their firmware installed. ;-)? Everything is working, except for the inability to browse the Vision:M as a "music library." I had previously updated the NOMAD's firmware to the latest?..0, and I haven't changed it for all this. The Vision:M was already running the latest PlaysForSure?.20.02 firmware when I received it, so I didn't touch that. For the uninstall/reinstall discussed above, I was only changing software on my PC. I'm using MediaSource Player/Organizer 5.0.38. The NOMAD plug-in is the Creative Zen and NOMAD Jukebox Plugin 5.00.22. The NOMAD driver is the Creative Zen and Jukebox Driver 2.0.00. The Vision:M plug-in is the Creative PlaysForSure Devices Plugin 5.00.36. I tried software both from the Vision:M CD (which installed that horrible web based organizer), and from the downloads section of Creative's support web site (which is what I have installed now). Looking at the compatibility notes for all the software, it doesn't look like I can go back to the older MediaSource 3.30.2 I was using with the NOMAD?and use any available?Vision:M plug-in with it, so I didn't try rolling MediaSource back. It seems from my testing that the PlaysForSure?plug-in/drivers for the Vision:M do not present the device to MediaSource as something that is a "music library" and therefore MediaSource does not browse it with the same interface as it does the NOMAD. As I mentioned, it's already become pretty silly to try and browse just the 20 albums I've loaded so far, when all I can do is navigate to the Music folder and see a list of all the individual tracks. I can't even find a way to browse a list of albums or artists -- all I can do is sort by those columns which has very limited usability. Any ideas or tips appreciated. I'm guessing most people use some other software for managing their Vision:M libraries. What do they use? I had gotten used to MediaSource with the NOMAD and was hoping I could still use it for both. I recently bought a new Asus laptop and moved my itunes to it. All of my files are stored on an external hard drive. In the process of importing my files into itunes on the new laptop, some artist and album info has been deleted. A lot of album art is missing as well. I attempted to correct the missing info, but now itunes won't let me edit any track, artist or album info. Any idea what the problem is and how I can fix it? Thanks.
You can't use your account's balance for gifting, you can only use a credit card - your balance can only be used to buy content for yourself. Until you pay what you owe iTunes then you won't be able to download any items from the store on that account.

Why doesn't the artist and album name show up on my iPod?
I edit each of my song through "Get Info", so I just simply type in the artist and album name. When I eject my iPod, the artist and album name doesn't show. Solution?
That happened to me too... It's a glitch... what I did is press sync right when i put my ipod in.. sometimes it doesn't work... just do it some other time again...or change someting in the song (getting info) It appears randomly...

How to access the "Genre", "Artist", and "Album" Panel via COM/script
I thought I posted this a couple of days ago, but checking on "My Posts", it appears I didn't. Oooops
I'm using the COM interface, which is also same as the scripting one.
I'm trying to discover what elements in the iTunes main window have been selected, and thus "highlighted".
The main window appears, to the interface, to be the "BrowserWindow", not to be confused with the View -> Show Browser window. Within this main window, I can identify which Playlist is currently selected, and/or which individual tracks are selected.
But, what I'm trying to do, is also identify if any elements in the View -> Show Browser window are also selected. "Genre", "Artist", and "Album".
Does anyone know if this is possible, and if so, how do I achieve it.
