Multiple Selection problem

Hello experts,
I´ve got a query with a variable with a multiple selection. I want to add a list of numbers to that multiple selection. I copy that list into the windows clipboard and then add it to the multiple selection. After that the window doesn´t close when I click on "ok".
If you want to test it: You´ll always get that failure when you add a list into a multiple selection, then delete everything (click recycle bin) and add it again. After that, you can´t close the window of the multiple selection and strange things happen.
Can anybode help me, I can´t find any OSS-Note for that problem...

I am not sure if this is similar to the problem i faced, where I was not able to close the variable selection screen after making use of the variant button.
I solved this by applying the latest BI 7.0 addon patch.

I have a similar problem where i cannot use the parameter with comma separated values in the parameter.

I am user the BC4J JBO InputSelectGroup object to insert what I was hoping multiple selection values into a field. It will only insert one value. What am I doing wrong?

If you are using Logical DB PNP why are you coding Selection Fields for ABKRS and WERKS?   Both of these fields are defined in the PNP Selection Screen and if you use those fields then SAP will handle filtering the data.

Flash CS4 multiple selection probleme, Scale/position

Hello.
i noticed that if you have a flash cs4 AS2 where you need to make a zoom and unzoom effect on multiple element, you will have a painfull time building that scale+position effect. Let me explain.
Everything need to be scaled from 0 to 100 % and then from 100 % to 0. Some of those need to be scale in the exact position where they are, but other need to also move to fit the zoom effect for a result of a central effect for everything ). For some unknow reason the Tween is not working for those item. So i had to do it manually using 50 keyframe of 1 frame ( ho joy... dont forget to times that by 19)
We all know that when you use the free transform tools, you have the transform box + the little circle that define the effect "center" location of the item. Whatever the location of that little circle, when you zoom it will go away in the opposite direction and the reverse is also true. So far it work perfectly.
however if you take the time to set that little circle for all your element perfectly and test it with all element, you should be able to select ALL of your element at the same time and execute the same move as if you were doing it on a single element right ?. Well no.
If you do it with a single element and play with the scale ( with constraint) it does what you want. But if you select them all, you discover quickly enough that it is no longer working. You also discover that it is adding a NEW little circle ( "center" position) that is offset. Fair enough, i move that circle at the exact location of the zoom effect then try to make the zoom, and TADAM.. it is not working, it is still messing with the direction of the scale/position.
Ctrl Z. unselect everything, and try again with only 1 random element ? work perfectly. Try with all of them at the same time ? dont work.
REmember all those element zoom at the same location, so you shouldn't have any probleme with the new little circle as long you move it at the same spot than the other. But no. even if it is there, it will still scale/position South of where it suposed to be. Doing it all at the same time while setting that circle should save you time, but right now it is the exact opposite, an effect that could take 1 hour to make will take me the full day, if not more.

Yes Kglad, that the little circle thing i was speaking about.
It is set manually to fit the design and if i select my item 1 by 1 and zoom them manually, it is working.
The bug is when you select them all ( AFTER setting all the registration point ) you will get another one that is not set, so even if you set it manually at that time ( when all is selected ) and THEN apply the zoom, it will no longer work.
thats the bug.

Problem in multiple selections in a jList

I have two jLists. Now I have to select some items from one jlist and have to transfer in the other one. But while trying to do it in the runtime I am getting some unexpected runtime errors including "Exception occurred during event dispatching". When I try to transfer only one item it works fine but shows problem in multiple selections. Pleast give your suggestions.

Problem with Multiple selection option

Hi all,
I am working on a report, when I execute the report and the selection screen comes up, there I need to enter 5 different employee name so I am trying to use "multiple selection" option but as soon as I hit that "Yellow arrow" in front of employee name field .. I saw the output first and when I go one screen back I get that screen where I can enter the names. So can you please help me with this.

Problem getting all parameters from multiple select

I have a multiple select option box that's properly displaying all the values. I'm using getParameterValues() to retrieve all of the selections but it returns the string[] with only the first selection made.
JSP:
<select name="selectList" multiple="true" size="2">
<option value="value1"> Select 1
</option>
<option value="value2"> Select 2
</option>
</select>Servlet:
String[] subset = request.getParameterValues("selectList");I think all my code above is fine. Anything else that would cause getParameterValues() to only return the top selected item?

The HTML cod is written in incorrect syntax, the browser nor the Server will understand.
If you write it in XHTML then the proper syntax is:
<select name="selectList" multiple="multiple" >
If you write it in plain old HTML then the proper syntax is:
<select name="selectList" MULTIPLE >
(I'm not sure about this HTML syntax, but definitely the XHTML syntax shown above is correct)

Multiple Selection on Subscreen - PROBLEM!

Hi,
I call a Function from a Program. This Function calls a screen with a SUBCREEN AREA. For this SUBSCREEN AREA I set SELET-OPTIONS. When executing the PROGRAM, we get to see this screen and subscreen area with select-options. BUT IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO OPEN MULTIPLE SELECTION for them. I click on the arrow and no window pops up for Multiple selection.
How to make it work? thanks in advance.

Problem in multiple selection in result page.

Hi all ,
My requirement is to create a search and result page and in result page i need to add two buttons for delete and create new, the delete and create new is working fine for single selection mode, but for multiple selection the create new is not working , i added the following code in the do_prepare_output.

When i click on new all fields are in non editable mode and have text as"BRANCHID is not bound".

After selecting the multiple records you are trying to click new button right.
Are you displaying records or orders(like service ,sales,contracts,contacts,..etc ) in result view??
Can you please elaborate the what you are displaying in result view.

Multiple Selection List Box-- Data Reporting Problem...

I want to build a form which reports all of the multiple selections made by users from a list box. When I test the form, only the first selection is reported in the dataset. How do I configure the form so that when data is compiled, each of the selections from the list box is reported in sequence?

Here is the solution for the requirement.
Add another 2 columns in the resource list: test1 (set default value to 1), test2 (no default value).
Set test1 to 1 for all existing items in the resource list.
Set test2 to 2 for the 10 special items.
Custom form from InfoPath Designer, modify the data connection and also include the test1 and test2.
Go to drop down control properties and make sure its value is 1 and 2.
Go add the filter to multiple selection box control like this.
Note: field1 is the field used by my drop down control in Main data connection.
7. Done. Now when we select test1 in drop down, we can see all list items in multiple selection box. And when we select test2 in drop down, we can see the 10 list items that with test2 column filled with 2.

Get all the values from a multiple select in a multipart form

Hi there!
I am using a form with enctype="multipart/form-data" in order to upload files from the form.
I have read this page: http://commons.apache.org/fileupload/using.html and everything works well for my form.
The only problem is that I can't get all the values from a "multiple select" html object. I get only one value.
Using servlets I have used this method:
public java.lang.String[] getParameterValues(java.lang.String name) But now I have enctype="multipart/form-data" in my form and I can't use this way...
Is there a way to get all the values of a multi-valued parameter?

I have a button on a JSP of mine that when clicked creates a popup window (right now it is called popup.html) with a multiple select menu.
My question is how do I get all the values selected from the menu into my JSP (sample.jsp) so that I can set each of the values for my bean.
The other problem is that I have more than one select multiple menu.
Please help if you can. Any advice or suggestions here would be greatly appreciated!

I realize that I can use request.getParameterValues to get the values selected from my html because I am passing them to the hidden inputs I have and then using the request.getParameterValues to get each of the values.
MY PROBLEM IS WHAT IF I HAVE 4 MULTIPLE SELECTS??? How can I use the same html popup menu to get the values from the 4 different multiple selects????

Steps to make multiple rows selectable in ALV:
1) Create the selection property of the node that you are binding to the DATA node as o..n
2) Un-check the, "Initialization Lead Selection" checkbox for the node which you are using to bind to the DATA node
3) In the WDDOINIT method specify the ALV's selection mode as MULTI_NO_LEAD. It is important that you set the selection mode to MULTI_NO_LEAD or else in the end you would be capturing 1 row lesser than the total number of rows the user has selected. This is because 1 of the rows would have the LeadSelection property & our logic wouldnt be reading the data for that row. Check the example code fragment as shown below:

lo_value = lo_interfacecontroller->get_model( ).
CALL METHOD lo_value->if_salv_wd_table_settings~set_selection_mode
    EXPORTING

Steps to get the multiple rows selected by the user
In order to get the multiple rows which were selected by the user you will just have to call the get_selected_elements method of if_wd_context_node. So as you can see its no different from how you would get the multiple rows selected by the user in a table ui element. First get the reference of the node which you have used to bind to the ALV & then call this method on it. Check the example code fragment below:

DATA: lr_node TYPE REF TO if_wd_context_node,
            wa_temp TYPE REF TO if_wd_context_element,
            ls_node1 TYPE wd_this->element_node_flighttab,

" This would now contain the references of all the selected rows
lt_temp = lr_node->get_selected_elements( ).
    LOOP AT lt_temp INTO wa_temp.
" Use the references to get the exact row data
      CALL METHOD wa_temp->get_static_attributes
        IMPORTING
          static_attributes = ls_node1.
      APPEND ls_node1 TO lt_node1.
      CLEAR ls_node1.
    ENDLOOP.
ENDMETHOD.
