Multiple Selections Disabled after validation

Hi experts ,
Couldsomebody please correct me on this :-
I have a validation check for a select-option with NO Intervals.
Any incorrect value in the Select option then an error message pops up . Now if there are multiple values in the Selct-option multiple selection then also the error popos up showing the wrong entires . But when i try to change again i.e click on multiple selection then it doesnot allow the user to enter and correct those entries.
Could you please let me know the best posible way to check teh above scenario ?

Easy fix would be to remove the EL from the property. This makes the button accessible at all times.
I guess the problem is that after the validation error you have to resubmit the data to make the commit button enable again. Try adding a button which doesn'T have an action or actionListener define on the page. After a validation error and the error is corrected click the new button and see if this enables the commit button again.

We are validating our sw vpn users on our 3030 via nt domain. Therefore there are no individual userids.
How can we selectively disable certain users? e.g. A few office workers not allowed to come in from home.
If this were Windows / RAS we could uncheck the dialin box on their user profile - is there some similar setting within Windows for sw VPN users?
Or even better, are these domain authenticated users authenticated against any particular nt group, from which we could then remove them?

With NT Domain Authentication, what you are trying is not possible. What you need to do is to configure the concentrator to use Radius. You could refer to http://www.cisco.com/warp/public/471/cisco_vpn_msradius.html and http://www.cisco.com/warp/public/471/vpn3k_ias.html for more configuration information.

Advanced Table Multiple Selection

I have created a advanced table under query bean with multiple selection feature.After querying the advanced table bean When i select the row in the table and click on another button i have writtten a logic in process from request to select only those rows selected in table ,but the view attribute of select check box is retuning null is there any way to identify the rows selected

Use this code in AMImpl. It will definitely work. I have tried. Don't forget to create a Transient Attribute of Type String [[here transient attr is Select]] in the VO.

Multiple Selection problem

Hello experts,
I´ve got a query with a variable with a multiple selection. I want to add a list of numbers to that multiple selection. I copy that list into the windows clipboard and then add it to the multiple selection. After that the window doesn´t close when I click on "ok".
If you want to test it: You´ll always get that failure when you add a list into a multiple selection, then delete everything (click recycle bin) and add it again. After that, you can´t close the window of the multiple selection and strange things happen.
Can anybode help me, I can´t find any OSS-Note for that problem...

I am not sure if this is similar to the problem i faced, where I was not able to close the variable selection screen after making use of the variant button.
I solved this by applying the latest BI 7.0 addon patch.

Why can I not disable the guest user in the 10.8.2 update? I have never enabled the guest user, but after the update, it was automatically enabled with a "managed" tag. It is not selectable even after entering my admin password to unlock the options.

SOLVED Ok. I actually was able to disable it. I had to actually log in as the guest user to make it accessible in the preference window. Then I disabled it and logged out. Apologies if this was obvious for some people, but I have had some sort of issue with something every update since Snow Leopard.

Multiple selection in the ALV is not possible after system upgrade

I had been using an ALV, which was performing as desired before, but recently we had a system upgrade to NW7.0 and after that in this ALV multiple selection of records/rows is not allowed.
The colleagues who upgraded the system suggested that this may be because this ALV is instantiated at many places. I would request you to kindly provide a solution for the same ASAP, as I am not able to proceede ahead.

Thanks for your replies, I had figured out the actual problem. The reason was, the referance of the selected rows was lost as I was doing bind elements to the context after moving to wddomodify.
So I figured out an alternative solution to avoid binding on selection of records.

Validation of materials entered in multiple selection in selection-screen

Hi,
How can I do the validation for all the materials entered in multiple selection in selection-screen?

What kind of validation do you need to do?
One of the easiest options is to select the materials to an internal table and then loop through it. Something like this:
SELECT-OPTIONS: SO_MATNR FOR MARA-MATNR.
AT SELECTION SCREEN.
SELECT MATNR FROM MARA
INTO TABLE I_MATNR
WHERE MATNR IN SO_MATNR.
LOOP AT I_MATNR.

Here table I_MATNR has only one field MATNR.
But please be careful with this, because you might end up going through thousands of material numbers. You might want to limit the user's choices by making the field required and removing some other options. Also you can check number of records in I_MATNR and allow only, say, not more than 50 materials, thusly forcing the users to limit their selection criteria.
Naturally, other selection options may be added here.

Setting multiple selection checkbox disabled at row level

i have a query bean in my page .once user clicks on the Go button ..the records gets displayed in an advanced table .this table has one table selection column (multiple selection).
now based on a attribute value i need to disable these check boxes .
if attribute1 for a row is 'Y' i need to disable it otherwise enable it..
there is no disabled property in the property inspector for this bean so i cant set any SPEL for this column..

Disable text box on selecting a checkbox of multiple selection lookup field in infopath 2010

In edit mode of the form,
We have added one field in infopath which is lookup column and shows multiple selection chekboxes.
One of the option from that lookup checkbox list is "Other".
There is one textbox field which will be disabled by default.
We want to enable this text box on selection of "Other" from lookup field checkbox list.
Is it possible?
if yes how can we do this?

Hi Vyanky, I don't believe that's possible without some major functionality. The problem, as you probably know, is that it's a lookup with checkboxes. If it was added directly in InfoPath, then it wouldn't be an issue. You should consider adding "Other"
as a separate yes/no field instead. That way you'll be able to add an action rule to it to enable the text box.

Data template multiple selection problem

Hi all,
I have a problem with the Multiple Selection on the BI Publisher using data templates. One of my parameters is called p_application, this parameter is a integer/number and its values come from a list of values.
I'm getting the error "....invalid number". I think the data template is not understanding that this parameter have multiple selection.

I have a similar problem where i cannot use the parameter with comma separated values in the parameter.
my report definition is as below.
