  • OIM multiple server installation steps doc

    Hi All,
I have installed OIM 9.1.0 with jboss 4.0.3 SP1 its working fine. Now I want to install OIM in multiple servers. If any one having step-by-step document for installing OIM in multiple server please share me the step Or any doc.
    Thanks in advance.
    Sincerely
    vyas

You can setup database clusters (RAC). You can setup a cluster for the application server. You can deploy just the xlWebApp (front end) to servers, and have the xlScheduler on others. You can also host the JMS servers on different nodes of the cluster.
OIM is not Novell, so it will work different. See the clustering documentation with the JBOSS documentation.

  • Start multiple domains simultaneously on 1 Weblogic server installation?

Is it okay to start and run multiple domains simultaneously. Better yet, when having multiple domains on 1 WLS server, should each domain have a different port number in order to be run simultaneously?
Here's my scenario - I installed Oracle Business Intellgence, which by default installs and configures WLS server for certain Business Intelligence applications (BI Publisher). This instance was running fine and good and still is.
Then I had another application, Oracle Data Integrator, which has a Console piece that requires a domain on WLS. So instead of modifying the existing domain for Oracle Business Intelligence, I created a new domain via the Configuration Wizard and selected those components for Oracle Data Integrator.
    therefore current domains:
...\domains\bifoundation_domain --> installed automatically as part of Oracle Business Intelligence
    ...\domains\odi11g --> I created this domain after I
Now I have 2 domains under 1 WLS Server (windows 7 64bit), but if I startWeblogic.cmd for the bifoundation_domain, and I startWeblogic.cmd for the odi11g...then only the components for the bifoundation_domain become available via the WLS Console.
    Questions:
    - Can I run both domains simultaneously?
    - Should I have modified the bifoundation_domain to include Oracle Data Integrator component; therefore only having 1 domain but having everything run under that domain?
    - Does the Port for each domain matter? both bifounddation_domain and odi11g domain use ports 7001
Are there any other considerations? Thanks much.

    Hi,
It is perfectly OK to run multiple domains on a single Weblogic server installation. Only constraint would be you have enough capacity available on your server to start multiple instances.
Things to note is, if your domain1 is running on listen address : port { localhost : 7001 } then your other domain should be configured on a different port say {localhost : 8001 }. If you want both domain to run on same port then go for virtual IP's to be plumbed on your physical network interface and configure as,
    domain1 - { ip1 : 7001 }
    domain2 - { ip2 : 7001 }
this way you will can access both domain admin console on same port.
Remember, Weblogic resources cannot be shared between domain, however a single nodemanager will be enough to monitor both the domains.
    * rank it if answer is helpful :) *
    Thanks,

  • Issue with multiple application installation and server share

    Hi,
    SCCM 2007 SP2 R3 ICP2
    All servers W2K8R2
I am having an issue with software installs.  When using a variable for multiple applciation installs, I get access errors when the applications go to install.  It appears to be a multiple connection issue, but I can't figure out why.
I am using server shares for my DPs.  The proper permissions are set.  The servers (DP) are W2K8R2.  I think it has to do with the way R2 handles the conenctions.  I want to know if this is a known issue or if anyone has come accross
    it.
I am going to post in the software distribution forum as well, but thought this would be a config question.

Hi! I'm waking up this dead thread but I've got a *very* similar problem!
I've got a SCCM 2007 SP2 R3 installation on Win2008.  All clients are in the same ConfigMgr-site. Multiple package deploy in the same site-boundary as the CM-server works excellent. (We've got  three DPs in the same site-boundary as the
    CM-server itself.)
Now, we have a new site-boundary with it's own Protected DP where multiple package deploy fails
but the same packages, being run from the task-sequnce works! So then the client can download, install and run the packages from the proteced DP just fine. All "single" packages install fine before the "Multiple Appliaction"-step.
I've tripple checked that we're running the same packages when we're installing Multiple Packages as we do in the Task-Sequence. And
the same Task-sequence with the Multiple Package installation step
works fine in our site-boundary where the ConfigMgr-server is installed.
Here's the log from a client trying to access and install one of three packages through the the Install Multiple Packages task-sequence step.

I know that the TS checks package dependencies before executing the TS. That's not possible with Multiple packages since they are variable dependant. I think this is somehow related although it doesn't explain why my client can't authenticate properly.

  • Multiple BAM installations on the same machine?

    Hi guys,
I have a customer with the following requirement:
"We have installed BAM 10.1.3.3 with EL and upgraded to 10.1.3.4. It is currently using a remote database 10.2.0.3 in our test envt. We want to use the same Windows server for monitoring our Development enviroment also using the Dev database. Is it feasible or will it corrupt the IIS of the windows machine already running BAM 10.1.3.4. Please provide your recommendations on this, whether to have separate windows servers or we can have multiple BAM installations on same server."
    Any ideas on this?
    Thanks in advance,
    Catalin

  • Do I need to set  system env variables for weblogic and SOA server installation?

    Hi All,
I already have two weblogic application servers on my machine(that were installed by others).
I observed some environment variables were also set in System variables(ORACLE_HOME,WEB_SERVER_HOME etc) section in Env variables section(Start Menu---> Computer --> properties ---).But why do we need to have system environment variables wherein we already have those variables in files like setDomainEnv.bat or/and setSOADoaminEnv.bat for each server.
And one more thing system variables will be applicable for all servers(the whole machine) right. It may spoil the installation of new servers and present servers as variables should be unique to each server.
I want to install weblogic and SOA server installation.
So Can I remove the existing system variables(as they will applicable for every server) and install weblogic and SOA server installation without setting up the environment variables?
Especially I have multiple Weblogic servers,In that case how it would be to have environment variables(JAVA_HOME,WL_HOME,ORACLE_HOME etc)?
Please guide me on this to installl SOA suite .
    Thanks in advance

    Hi,
It seems to me like you have
    1. Previous failed instance of SQL Server installation which subsequently caused further SQL Server installations to fail
    2. The windows account with which you logged into machine to install SQL Server is corrupt
You can, If possible create a new windows account give it admin privileges and then log into machine using this account
After you login follow below method to remove failed SQL Server installation

  • Which Weblogic server installation do I need??

I need to download and install Oracle 11g Portal, Forms, Reports and Discoverer (11.1.1.2.0) for Windows 7 Professional. On its main page, Oracle says that I have to download and install Weblogic Server before I can install Forms 11g. When I go to Weblogic Server download page, I see two versions: The package installer (815 MB), and the net installer (40 MB). Which one of them do I need for my purpose? Also, do I need something else (other than the database ofcourse and the Weblogic Server) to download and install before putting Forms 11g?
    Thanks

When I go to Weblogic Server download page, I see two versions: The package installer (815 MB), and the net installer (40 MB)?
Both Installer will do the same thing....You can choose any one of them
*"Package Installer":* It's Size will be always much more than the Net-Installer....If you want to Once download the Installer in your PC and then want to run it in separate Boxes again & Again where u may not have Internet connectivity ...then you need to choose "Package Installer". When you run the Package installer, you can also select the specific product components you want to install, thereby also enabling you to minimize the installation footprint.
Downloading the Package installer is recommended if you want to perform multiple WebLogic Server installations at your site. In a typical scenario, you download the Package installer only once, then make it available to each machine on which you wish to have the product installed. (You can run the installer from each machine directly over the local network, or copy the installer onto each machine and run it.)
*"Net Installer":* If you want to install the WebLogic and donot want the Installer keeo with you for future use...This is good. It has 40 MB size ...because this 40MB installer will start Downloading rest of the part of the complete installer from the Oracle N/W on the fly. Unlike the Net installer, the Package installer does not provide for any reduction in download time or the amount of disk space required for the installation files.

  • Layout Server Installation

    Hi All,
As per my knowledge, layout server installation can be done in two ways:
    1. layout server as a central server with Multiple Publisher clients accessing common server.
    2. layout server on individual clients system
I want to know Pros and cons of both installation approaches of Layout server and which one is preferred.
Also any idea which installation design for layout server is recommended by SAP (i.e. installing layout server as a central server or on local machine.). I searched, but couldnu2019t find any standard SAP document on this. If you have any such document, please forward it to me. It will be of great help. Thanks.
    Regards,
    Shiv

    Hi Shiv,
I didn't find any documentation related to this. However i would like to add my understanding
Note: As per the Sizing Guide, MDM Layout server should be installed on the m/c having min of 2GB RAM (4GB Recommended).
    1. layout server as a central server with Multiple Publisher clients accessing common server
    Advantages
    1. Only one layout server needs to be installed and all the Clients i.e. MDM Publisher will access this centralized layout server.
    2. It reduces Hardware cost since only one centralized m/c is required.
    3. One layout server needs to be managed if any configuration changes are required.
    Disadvantages
    1. Simultaneous access of this centralized server affects the performance
    2. Would be slow as compare to Approach-2 because of delay due to network.
    2. layout server on individual clients system
    Advantages
    1. Better performance as compare to Approach-1 since no n/w connections are involved in communication between the Layout server and MDM Publisher.
    2. No extra hardware is required for layout server installation since every individual m/c contains its own layout server.
    Disadvantages
    1. As per the Note above, individual machines should have min of 2GB RAM just because of Layout Server. Hence if the number of clients increases so does the cost of hardware as well.
    2. Difficult to manage as compare to Approach-1 (Ref to Adv-3).
Based on above points, I would recommend the first approach since it is cost effective, easy maintainance. As far as performance goes, n/w speed could be enhanced even at the lower cost as compare to installing multiple layout servers on individual m/cs.

  • Pros and Cons of Application Isolation/Multiple server instances?

Hi. I'm setting a new server using ColdFusion Enterprise with Apache to migrate several web application from and old server with ColdFusion 7 server. I'm currently doing research regarding multiple server instances in order to have a separate server for production apps and another for development apps (see http://help.adobe.com/en_US/ColdFusion/10.0/Admin/WSc3ff6d0ea77859461172e0811cbf363c31-7ff 5.html and https://wikidocs.adobe.com/wiki/display/coldfusionen/Using+Multiple+Server+Instanceshttp:/ /). In addition, I'm also doing research regarding application isolation to have separate production application in separate servers. I'm trying to identify all pros and cons for both "Application Isolation" and "Multiple Server Instances" to make a decision on whether I will proceed in applying these techniques. I have found several links that talk about some of the advantages but have not been able to find anything regarding possible disadvantages. Have anyone in this forum has used any of the techniques, and can provide more information/experiences regarding the pros and cons?

    Hi Ricardo_Lorenzo,
Whether to go for Multiserver instances or Single server, is totally a user requirement based decison. If a user has Single website, or multiple websites (of the same nature, in terms of functionality), usually the part of same domain, then they would go for Single sever installation. One single instance will handle the requests from all the websites (if there are multiple). There would not be a clustering/failover setup within ColdFusion and can use the ColdFusion Standard or Enterprise version.
On the other hand, if a user has multiple websites, all with different functionality and have multiple applications (may or may not) running, then they can go for Multiserver installation. Each website can be configured with individual instances. Clustering can be done within ColdFusion if needed. One would need an Enterprise license of ColdFusion for the same.
    Hope this helps.

  • Re: WLS51 multiple server instances - no clustering, no multihoming

Hello - This is the answer to a private question, but I'm posting it to the
group too in hope it will help.
Our problem was, we had one computer (Solaris) with one IP address and one
Weblogic license, but we had two (now three) teams of developers working on
different projects for WLS. Since they needed different settings and
configurations, they could not use a single Weblogic server instance, so we
had to find a way to run multiple server instances independently on a single
    machine.
I'd call this configuration "parallel-servers" - please remember that it is
quite different from both multihoming and clustering because all the server
instances are independent from one another (unlike clustering) but run on
the same IP (unlike multihoming) and different port numbers.
This is the simplest procedure for a Solaris computer:
    1: Install WebLogic.
Let's say the WL installation folder is:
    /wls/weblogic/
    we'll call that:
    WL_HOME/WLS_HOME/
It contains the default server instance folder
    /wls/weblogic/myserver/
    we'll call that:
    WL_HOME/WLS_HOME/myserver/
2: Make some copies (as many as you need)
of the default server instance folder
    with different names, you'll have:
    WL_HOME/WLS_HOME/myserver/
    WL_HOME/WLS_HOME/server_1/
    WL_HOME/WLS_HOME/server_2/
    WL_HOME/WLS_HOME/server_n/
3: Locate the general properties file
    /wls/weblogic/weblogic.properties
    (we'll call it: WL_HOME/WLS_HOME/weblogic.properties)
and make a copy of it into EACH of the individual
server instance folders; you'll end up with:
    WL_HOME/WLS_HOME/weblogic.properties
    WL_HOME/WLS_HOME/myserver/weblogic.properties
    WL_HOME/WLS_HOME/server_1/weblogic.properties
    WL_HOME/WLS_HOME/server_2/weblogic.properties
    WL_HOME/WLS_HOME/server_n/weblogic.properties
4: In EACH server instance's properties file
    WL_HOME/WLS_HOME/server_i/weblogic.properties
set per-server values to all the properties
specific to the individual server; at least:
    weblogic.system.listenPort=PORT_i
    weblogic.password.system=PWD_i
    weblogic.system.SSLListenPort=SSLPORT_i
plus everything else it should need individually,
that is, all the things that make that single
server instance different from all the others
(connection pools, ACLs, EJB auto deployments and so on)
    Do NOT modify the file
    WL_HOME/WLS_HOME/myserver/weblogic.properties
(it's a backup copy of the default settings)
5: In the GLOBAL properties file
    WL_HOME/WLS_HOME/weblogic.properties
cancel or comment out all the properties
that have been individually set for all
the individual server instances; at least:
    weblogic.system.listenPort
    weblogic.password.system
    weblogic.system.SSLListenPort
6: Locate the default server's startup script
    /wls/weblogic/startWebLogic.sh
    (we'll call it: WL_HOME/WLS_HOME/startWebLogic.sh)
and make a copy of it (in the same folder)
    for EACH of the new individual server instances;
    you'll end up with:
    WL_HOME/WLS_HOME/startWebLogic.sh
    WL_HOME/WLS_HOME/startServer_1.sh
    WL_HOME/WLS_HOME/startServer_2.sh
    WL_HOME/WLS_HOME/startServer_n.sh
7: In EACH server instance's startup script
    WL_HOME/WLS_HOME/startServer_i.sh
    set values to the properties:
    weblogic.home=WL_HOME/WLS_HOME
(where WL libraries and global files are)
    weblogic.system.home=WL_HOME/WLS_HOME
    (where the GLOBAL weblogic.properties is)
    weblogic.system.name=server_i
    (where the PER-SERVER weblogic.properties is)
    weblogic.system.listenPort=PORT_i
    weblogic.system.SSLListenPort=SSLPORT_i
with the -D option, as in:
    $JAVA $JAVA_OPTIONS -ms64m -mx64m -classpath
    $JAVACLASSPATH -Dweblogic.class.path=$WEBLOGICCLASSPATH -Dweblogic.home=$WL_
    HOME/$WLS_HOME -Dweblogic.system.home=$WL_HOME/$WLS_HOME -Dweblogic.system.n
    ame=server_i -Djava.security.manager -Djava.security.policy=`pwd`/weblogic.
    policy -Dweblogic.system.listenPort=PORT_i -Dweblogic.system.SSLListenPort=
    SSLPORT_i weblogic.Server
8: If you like, you might also write a shutdown script
for each server instance (often faster than the console)
    WL_HOME/WLS_HOME/stopServer_i.sh
    which might look like:
    java -classpath $JAVACLASSPATH weblogic.Admin t3://$HOSTNAME:PORT_i SHUTDOWN
    system $PWD_i
9: If you need individual per-server security policies,
also duplicate and customize the default policy file
    WL_HOME/WLS_HOME/weblogic.policy
(just like you did with weblogic.properties in steps 3 to 5)
and specify the corresponding property in each startup script
    with the -D option
    -Djava.security.policy=`pwd`/server_i/weblogic.policy
10: Obviously, when you deploy and use your EJBs or JSPs or applications,
you must make sure that you specify the right individual server's parameters
(name, user, password, port, paths and everything else).
And that's all; obviously, there are better ways to achieve the
"parallel-servers" configuration, but this is the simplest one and is good
enough for a basic development environment; you might need to tune some more
properties to suit your specific requirements.
On a WinNT computer, the procedure should be more or less the same, the main
difference being: instead of .sh script files, you'll have to edit .cmd
    script files.
I am very grateful to all the people on the newsgroups who helped me work
    that out. Good luck!

You also need weblogic.system.name=server_n and I believe it's
weblogic.system.home rather than weblogic.home. The latter should point
              to
              your /weblogic directory.

  • Can we have multiple grid installations on a RAC configuration

    Hi,
I just want to check whether we can have multiple grid installations running in parallel on same configuration. For eg: A 3 node RAC having 11g and 12c RAC configurations running in parallel.
I understand that we can have multiple oracle database installations under a grid , but not sure of multiple grid installations.
Can someone guide me here ?
    --Amith

    Hi,
You can not have multiple GI running on same server.
    Please review the following  note:

  • Content server installations for OLM

    Dear all,
We are in 11.5.10.2 instance with DB 10.1.0.5 ( upgraded) on multy node HPUX-PA-RISC and Itanium
We need to install content server in the different m/c. and we are going through the note 351047.1
In that they mentioned "Install container"
Is webserver Oracle 9iAS Release 2 will work for OLM content server setup.
If that is the case Is infrastructure should be installed first?
Is the Portal and wireless will work for our case?
what about 9i AS application server installation?
Kindly give us the detailed installation steps for OLM content server setup.
and What OS will be best suitable for this?
    Thanks and regards
    Vasu

    Dear all,
I am having some doubts in the doc: 374677.1 Utilising content server with Oracle Learning management.
Let us take our existing oracle application as "APPS server" and content server install on windows is "CONTENT server"
    (1) Install the container, such as Apache and ApacheJserv.
    Ans: CONTENT server
    (2) Create a servlet repository called servlets. For example, in Jserv, the servlets
    repository exists by default.
    Ans: CONTENT server
    (3) Copy the following files to your servlet repository directory:
    $JAVA_TOP/oracle/apps/ota/admin/common/util/ContentServerServlet.class
    $JAVA_TOP/oracle/apps/ota/admin/common/util/ProtocolConstants.class
    $JAVA_TOP/oracle/apps/ota/admin/common/util/SystemUtils.class
    $JAVA_TOP/oracle/apps/ota/admin/common/util/SystemUtils$JarUtility.class
    $JAVA_TOP/oracle/apps/ota/admin/common/util/ContentServeerClientData.class
    Note:
The file location depends on the variable $JAVA_TOP.
If the application is running successfully then these files should definitely exist there
Make sure that the ENTIRE directory structure is copied over to the servlet repository directory.
So if the servlet repository directory is:
    $ORACLE_HOME/Apache/Jserv/servlets
then the destination of these classes are as follows:
    $ORACLE_HOME/Apache/Jserv/servlets/oracle/apps/ota/admin/common/util/ContentServerServlet.class
    $ORACLE_HOME/Apache/Jserv/servlets/oracle/apps/ota/admin/common/util/ProtocolConstants.class
    etc
Ans: APPS server to CONTENT server. how top copy entire directory structure
is we need to create directory like "oracle/apps/ota/admin/common/util"
    (4) Also ensure the oracle.apps.fnd.common.VersionInfo.class file is located
under the class path directory that is defined for the repository.
    Note:
This file should be found under $JAVA_TOP as follows:
    $JAVA_TOP/oracle/apps/fnd/common/VersionInfo.class
Again, the entire directory structure needs to be copied, for example.:
    $ORACLE_HOME/Apache/Jserv/servlets/oracle/apps/fnd/common/VersionInfo.class
Ans: from APPS server to CONTENT server
    ==========================================
    (5) In zone.properties, add the following: (????? which zone properties
    APPS server or CONTENT server?????????
    # ----- OLM Content server ----- # servlet.OtaContentServerServlet.code=oracle.apps.ota.admin.common.util.ContentServerServlet
    servlet.OtaProtocolConstants.code=oracle.apps.ota.admin.common.util.ProtocolConstantsservlet.OtaSystemUtils.code=oracle.apps.ota.admin.common.util.SystemUtils
    servlet.OtaSystemUtils$JarUtility.code=oracle.apps.ota.admin.common.util.SystemUtils$JarUtilityservlet.OtaContentServerClientData.code=oracle.apps.ota.admin.common.util.ContentServerClientData
    #----- END OLM
    Note:
The zone.properties file location can vary depending on the implementation, usually in the apache server.
Ask the admin who set up the apache server, or look under the apache server setup.
    (6) Create an alias for the directory where the content will be stored. For example, in Apache, to create an alias for the physical directory
    Ans: CONTENT server
D:/apache/rootdir/, add the following inside the httpd.conf file:
    Alias /content/ ’D:/apache/rootdir/’
    (7) Add the list of middle tiers and the temporary file location as arguments to the Java Interpreter. For example, in Jserv, add following lines inside the jserv.properties file:
    Ans : CONTENT server.
    wrapper.bin.parameters=-Dmiddletier=148.87.19.51+148.87.19.50+144.25.78.202+10.10.20.140wrapper.bin.parameters=-DTemp=D:\temp
    wrapper.bin.parameters=-Djava.io.tmpdir=/dbfiles/applcsf/log
Here the numbers, such as 148.87.19.51 and 148.87.19.50, are IP addresses of all trusted middle tiers, and + is the separator for multiple addresses.
Servers not specified in the list are not able to access the servlet.
D:\temp is the absolute path of the temp location where files are saved temporarily while handling physical content.
/dbfiles/applcsf/log is any existing directory for log files.
Pl go through the above and clear my doubt. ( about which server we need to do the task).
    1. CONTENT server.
    2. CONTENT server.
    3. from APPS server to CONTENT server.
    4. from APPS server to CONTENT server.
    5. ????? which server CONTENT server or APPS server??????? if it is a APPS server under which directory the zone.property file will locate.
    6. CONTENT server.
    7. CONTENT server.
    Kindly suggest me.
    Regards

  • SharePoint Server 2013 single server installation licenses and system requirements

We are thinking of setting up a SharePoint Server 2013 for the following features to be accessed by our test team (<100 users)
Our requirements are as follows -
Total user access <100 users(starts with 50 and may be go upto 100)
Mainly Access to TeamSite(Document library), WiKi, BI reports view(SSRS Reports integration)
We have a Visual Studio Ultimate license that covers SQL Server 2012 and Share Point server 2013.
We have also got a Amazon EC2 machine access to create a Xlarge box with Microsoft recommended Cores, Memory, storage for SINGLE INSTALLATION of SharePoint Server 2013 and SQL server database on Windows Server 2012
    My queries are as follows
Are the licenses above sufficient to go ahead with setting up the SP Server? or do i need any other licenses ?
I would like to create local LDAP in amazon without connecting to the company active directory. Would this be possible? We have users from other locations(different countries) providing services to our company and we would like them to access this portal
to share and access docuemnts without any network issue etc..
Are there any known firewall issues with EC2 machines for share point deployment
System requirements for single server installation (with or without BI reports)
Please note this implementation is only for internal use by the test team and is not critical. Not a production implementation.
    Is there any better solution?
    Much appreciate your help
    Thanks
    Vara

MSDN subscription licenses for SharePoint aren't, as far as i know, for use as production devices. This means that whilst you can use it for testing and development you can't use that license for the SharePoint server that you'll all be using.
As such I think you will need to buy a SharePoint 2013 server license. The same goes for SQL, Windows etc.
There is also the question of user licenses, ie. CALs. I don't remember if those come included as part of an MSDN subscription.
    2) Possibly. As long as Amazon can host a domain for you it should be possible.
    3) Pass. Microsoft prefer you to use Azure and most of my training and experience is with that.
    4) High. 4 cores, 24GB of RAM minimum.
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc262485.aspx#hwforwebserver
You'll either need a 2XLarge or a memory orientated box, in which case you won't have much storage space.
Internal team infrastructure is still important. If you're using it enough to make it worth having then you need it there and running.
Have you considered using Office 365?

  • SAP DMS server installation Query

    Guys,
I would like to share my plans on DMS server installation under DEV,Quality, prod stage and requesting you all to validate and send me any comments if I am wrong anywhere.
    -        We have 1 external DMS server of (250Gb capacity)
    -     We are now in realization phase, As we know that we have 3 servers namly Development, quality and production server.
    -     In Development Server we do Baseline DMS customization
    -     In Quality server we do Integration testing
    -     There will be as external computer with harddisk capacity of 80 GB,I will Install Content server CD and make that 80GB hard disk as content server for storing the documents, create content repository and store the documents which are to be tested under both development and quality server stage(Note : we can use SAP database for both testing purpose but If we load huge data there,it will slowdown the server drastically)
    -     During the production server install the DMS server (250 gb) and define the content repository config under production server and start storing all the fresh document
    -     Note: Since the tested documents are stored in local PC we can avoid all the tested documents under quality stage only, once the DMS server is installaed in production server we can freshly load the documents.
    -     Note: I knew I have to install twice the Content server cd(once with 80 GB local hard disk and later with External DMS  server)
This is how I planned, I request you to highlight the pain areas by this method else give me the confidence of how I planned?
I appreciate for immediate solution; also how does Kpro comes into picture here.
Points will be rewarded for sure.
    Regards,
    Murali.S
    DMS consultant

    Hi Murali,
As per my understanding you want to keep a Temporary Content Server for your Dev & QA system but a full fledge 250GB Content server for Production.
This is a Good method you are following, i.e. when you go for production you will not have any junk data, you will be loading only fresh data (originals) into it.
There is nothing harm or pain in doing this, only thing is you have re-configure the Content Repository and Category in Production System (SAP).
Your Basis person has to open Production System for doing this Settings (Defining Content Repository and Content Category with Port, HTTP, etc)
Document Area to be ensured in each client at any point of time, Physical machine, IP address, Port etc.
You can maintain a Excel sheet with a following Columns:
<b>Client, Content Category, Content Repository, Document Area, Physical Machine, IP Address, Port.</b>
    For Transaction OACT & OAC0.
    Rest your method is fantastic.
    Best Regards
    Rehman
