Multiple sites, publish one at a time?

I have multiple sites, but when I publish them they all publish together. Can I just publish one at a time??? If not, this program is not very good..

I just want to select one SITE and
upload it, not have all the others upload too. Anyway
to get aroud that?
It should not upload a site that has no changes. But there is no way to avoid uploading changes, unless you want to start using separate Users/username/Library/Application Support/iWeb/Domain files for each site.

  • Multiple Domain files, Multiple Sites, Publishing Problems

I am frustrated beyond belief. I'm an old hand-coder, coming from BBEdit, but I've been using iWeb almost exclusively since its release, because it really is a great product for quick, easy, stylish designs.
However.... In that year, my collection of sites has grown to 12. Discovering that iWeb becomes a major dog when dealing with that much material, I found and followed the instructions - today - to separate my sites into individual domain files, and edit them individually. iWeb is much snappier and publishing goes much more quickly.
The problem? Well... after editing, "Publish to .Mac" rarely works. Only "Publish All to .Mac" will get the site online (something about an error with the index.html file). But "Publish All to .Mac", I've just discovered, DELETES the other websites that I have previous published. All day I've been doing updates and publishing my sites, only to discover that the uploads have all been wiped out by the most recent one!
I'm a big enough fellow to admit that my knowledge isn't total nor perfect - so please, would someone out there with a better handle on iWeb than I (preferably someone who actually deals with multiple domain files rather than someone who thinks they can guess the problem) please clue me into how we make use of this program non-destructively?
I suppose I could always publish everything to folders and upload it to my iDisk (which itself remains ridiculously slow after how many years now? Sheesh!), but that detracts from the elegance of the .Mac integration, the counter features, - not to mention the little fact that I'm a paying .Mac customer and this darn thing should just work, no?

    Mark:
I was where you were also. You should give iWebSites a try. It's to iWeb what iPhoto Library Manager is to iPhoto.
I use iWebSites to manage multiple sites.. It lets me create multiple sites and multiple domain files.
If you have multiple sites in one domain file here's the workflow I used to split them into individual site files with iWebSites. Be sure to make a backup copy of your Domain.sites files before starting the splitting process.
This lets me edit several sites and only republish the one I want. Just remember to put a copy of your current Domain.sites file somewhere else on your HD in case the splitting gets messed up. It went very smoothly for me and I now manage 19 or so sites.

  • How to associate multiple sites on one standard instance?

I have multiple websites that I want to put on one Standard instance. When I click on the scale link for a given website - it doesn't give me the option to add other websites to the standard instance. It creates a new instance for each website which really
racks up the billing charges. How do you put multiple websites on one standard instance?

The sites were already created and were under the standard instance. I thought it was just running one instance until I saw the credit balance going down quick. When I checked the websites using the new portal - they are actually under 4 web hosting plans.
I changed them back to the free one. Now when I try to change the plan to standard for a website - only that website's plan is changed. The other do not. There is no option for me to put the others in the same instance.

  • Updating multiple PSA requests one at a time

In a PSA we have multiple requests that aren't updated into data targets. If I update to a infocube, I think all these requests will be updated together under a single DTP request. Is there a way to update the requests in PSA one at a time?
    Thanks.

Yes you can update request by request.
Delta DTP - " Get Data by Request " - Set this feature and run the Delta DTP.
This will extract request by request - First in First out basis  ( in PSA  )
I beleive this will not fetch the loaded request, if at all it does run a Pseudo/Fake DTP with filter set such that it will not extract any records from that request.

  • Multiple site in one computer

    Hi,
I already succeeded in configuring my router to open port 80 and pointed it to the LAN IP address of my Mac server. Now, when I type the WAN IP address from a remote computer outside my LAN, I can see my temporary website. So my set-up is working. Cool! ( The router manufacturer offers a free DNS service so I don't have to worry about my dynamic IP address so will take it after I finish building my website). Now my questions.
    1. Can I host multiple websites in a single computer using only one domain name ? I want to host my personal site as well as other sites not related to my personal website. Can this be done. My webserver machine is a Powermac G4 Sawtooth and running OS X. Thank you.

The wiz explained things pretty well. I'll just try to explain it a bit differently to enhance ehis reply.
Basically with a single domain name you could set up a gateway that would link to different sites in the domain.
    http://www.mydomain.org (your domain)
    http://www.mydomain.org/site1/index.html (your first site)
    http://www.mydomain.org/site2/index.html (your second site)
www.mydomain.org could have links to any page served in the domain (site1 or site2), however it would not have to link in such a manner.
If what you really want is to have something like:
    http://www.mydomain.org
    http://www.myotherdomain.com
You will need to have two registered domain names. You can host two such separate sites on the same machine using Apaches virtual hosting capability.
Decide which method is right and move from there.

  • Multiple Stored Procedures - One at a time

    Hello everyone!
I´m going to start an interface that requires me to call multiple Stored Procedures, but they will not be called at the same time.
The legacy system has 3 stored procedures to be called, like this:
1 - SP number 1: it says to the legacy system that some data is going to come up and clean the previous data
2 - SP number 2: input data into the legacy system
3 - SP number 3: for each line above, more lines will be inserted - sort of header/line cenario
My question is: should I be able to achieve this goal using only PI 'normal' components or will I have to use BPM?
    Thanks!

    Hi Ricardo,
According to my knowledge not required to use the BPM.
In that first stored procedure you can call the another stored procedure, internally database can take the all necessary actions.

  • Multiple "Sites" in One Remote Folder

I am a student of Digital Design. I have created my first
website but now it is time to put my second project out on the web.
I want to be able to access both the old and new sites. How do I do
    this? Thank you.

    Don't know about that program.
In dreamweaver, you need to define a site for each project.
so if you have two sites, two site definitions.

  • Viewing multiple sites in one tool

Hello fellow Spice folks! So in a firm of approx. 200, we use a normal.dotm file, pushed out my GPO, for company styles, AutoText templates etc. When a change to the template is needed, we (or I) update the master copy, and let the GPO copy is back to client machines.Problem with this is quite often the client version of the normal.dotm gets corrupt, grows in size from people saving data to it some how (from the 730kb template to 2 or 3mb) causing issues when opening word and pissing of the users, and in turn me ! This method seems pretty barbaric to me, given that a firm I worked with 3 years ago used the same technique to publish company styles and saw same problems. What technology / method do you employ to distribute a shared company style to your client machines ?If I like it , I want it too !

  • Publish one site at a time

If I have two "sites" on my iweb, how do I publish one at a time. I keep getting messges that I can't connect to iweb. This was during the time I was uploading new pages and each one was going fine. I thought this was because I had too many pages, so I separated them to two "sites". This now shows many pages with changes (as in red folders), but I only want to publish one "site". Anyone have the same issue? It was taking 20 minutes to get the error message.....

I use iWebSites to manage the multiple sites.. It lets me create multiple sites and multiple domain files.
If you have multiple sites in one domain file here's the workflow I used to split them into individual site files with iWebSites. Be sure to make a backup copy of your original Domain.sites files before starting the splitting process and move it to another location on your HD until you're satisfied the separation process is completed and what you want.
This lets me edit several sites and only republish the one I want.

  • Publish one site in mobile me and one site on folder

Hi i have one site correctly published with mobile me. I created another with iWeb and I would like to publish on a folder only this last.
When I click on publish on folder, iWeb publish both sites on folder not only one. How can I do?
    Thanks a lot

To add to Terence's suggestion: I use iWebSites to manage over 40 individual sites.. It lets me create multiple sites and multiple domain files.

  • IWeb - Single Site Publishing

I have 4 websites saved in iWeb, I think I'm running iWeb 08.
When I want to publish a site to a local folder it always re-publishes all the sites instead of just the 1 I'm working on.
Is there a way of backing up a site and then re-opening it in iWeb at a later stage or is there simply a way of just publishing 1 of the sites at 1 time??
    Any help, thaks?

Another option on managing the multiple sites as individual domain files is to use iWebSites. I use iWebSites to manage over 75 individual sites. It lets me create multiple sites and multiple domain files.

  • Multiple sites for different geographic areas

i did a website for a letting agency in glasgow (
    http://www.youlet.co.uk ) but
now the company has decided to open up an extra branch in
cambridge. iv optimised the original site and it appears in top 4
under certain optimised key phrases in msn and yahoo. iv been asked
to make a duplicate site for the cambridge office. now obviously
pages like the property search will have different content but more
informative pages like the home, about pages will be practicaly
identical other than changing all text references and keywords to
    contain cambridge instead of glasgow.
so as not to mess with the ranking of the existing site, i
was going to put that whole site into a subdomain like
website/glasgow, do the same with the cambridge version then have
an index page on the main site linking off to the 2 sites.
what i wanted to ask was by doing this subdomain idea will
this allow each site to be treated as a site in its own right and
allow the glasgow veriosn to get back to where it was in the
rankings with it getting ignored as it is a subsdomain?
and also because the glasgow and cambridge sites will be
mostly identical apart from references to the location will this
count as being duplicate sites and count as spam?

Welcome to the Apple Discussions. When publishing multiple sites to to a MobileMe account the last published site will be accessible via the simple URL: http://web.me.com/youraccountname/
However each site has it's own URL which would be:
    http://web.me.com/youraccount_name/sitename
So you need to tack on the site name at the end of the simple URL.
For what it's worth I use iWebSites to manage over 40 individual sites.. It lets me create multiple sites and multiple domain files.

  • Multiple workflows publishing at once SOAP error

Hello, we are running SharePoint 2013 August 2014 CU with SQL Server 2012 and Windows Server 2012. We are having an issue where when
users simultaneously publish a workflow, one of them will receive a SOAP error saying that the temporary file could not be found. I believe this to be an issue with how the workflow is compiled. The compiler puts temporary files in the \appdata\local\temp
folder and then once the workflow is publish, it clears out those temp files. When multiple workflows publish at the same time, the first workflow to complete will clear out the temporary files of the other workflow trying to compile and will throw the error.
Is this by design or is this something we have not set up properly in our environment?

    Hi,
Based on you description, I have done a test.
    1. Navigated to C:\Users\<service-acct>\AppData\Local\Temp.
    2. Published the workflow from SPD.
    3. Workflow publishing process was actually creating all the required files under Temp folder.
    4. Once the workflow is published, it cleared out all of those temp files.
Per my test, during the workflow publishing, SharePoint will create all the required temporary files under the temp folder. Once the workflow is published, it clears out all of those temp files.
So it is the cause some of them will receive error saying that the temporary file could not be found.it is by default.

  • Multiple Sites Problem

    Hi,
I am using a personal domain name with iweb for one site. I have created two other sites using name forwarding. When I publish one of the other two I get the option to 'visit site now'. When I click on this it takes me to my first personal domain name site. Why doesn't it take me to the site I just published?
I also notice that the other two sites urls are linked to my personal domain one. Is that how it should be?

Select the site you want to visit in iWeb's left hand pane and use the File->Visit Published Site menu option.
To make it easier to manage multiple sites I use iWebSites to do so. It lets me create multiple sites and multiple domain files.
If you have multiple sites in one domain file here's the workflow I used to split them into individual site files with iWebSites.
