Multiple sizes in LR print template

Is there a way to configure a template to make 4-wallet size and 1-5x7 size cells on the same sheet?

No, not at this time. Mixed size templates have been requested from the start. Maybe someday.

    Hi Guys,

    Hi Suresh,
When you create a G/L account it is possible to fill in the field  Alternative account number (see the help).
When you want you can assign this to the countries own chart of account and report on this.
In this case I advise you to use one chart of accounts and use Alternative account number for reporting by country.
Now it is possible to use one controling area. This is use-full when you want to make total reports over the company codes.
In controlling you store document currency, company currency and controlling area currency. It is possible to use paralel currencies.
When you are doing settlement to an other companie code's it will create an inter company posting. But it is possible with the exchange rates that you have results you don't want

Alternative account number in company code
The alternative account number field in the company code area is freely definable. You could use it to enter:
the account number from your legacy system or
the account number from a country chart of accounts if your corporate group uses a standard chart of accounts.
The alternative account number is only issued in the financial statement if you explicitly assign it to the relevant items in the financial statement version.

  • Since upgrading to LR 5.6 I can no longer change paper sizes for user print templates.

The print preview window shows the new size laid out properly but the printer feeds only the size which was used to create the preset resulting in clipping if a larger paper and cell size is invoked in page setup or xs white space if a smaller is invoked. OS X 10.8.5, Stylus pro 7890. REINSTALLED PRINTERS AND DRIVERS, DELETED AND REPLACED LR PREFERENCE FILE, Other aps print ok. I

While the problem is unsolved I have found a workaround. If I use the "Printer" button (lower far right) and print from the printer dialed pop up custom paper sizes chosen in the "page setup" are honored and the layout  prints as shown in the LR print preview). On the other hand, If I print using the "Print" button the printer feeds only the paper size chosen when creating the preset.

  • Printing Templates for Multiple Print Sizes

It would have been nice to have been able to create printing templates of different sized prints on the same page like portrait photographers do. Features of QImage should have been incorporated.

I agree with the above comments. As I see it, the Print modules needs these improvement:
    - Multiple images of various sizes and shapes on a single page.
    - Ability to place resizable text cells (multiple) anywhere on a page. [The Identity Plate feature comes close until you try to put it on every image which causes it to lock to the center of each image.]
    - Ability to change the font and location of Metadata displayed next an image
    - Ability to display an Identity Plate in the Margin area (or any text object).
Essentially I should be able to create a simple book or album from the Print module with customizable text cells. I have no doubt LR has much of this already planned - it makes a lot of sense.

I have a Macbook Pro using the 10.7.4 version. I recently bought a Brother HL-5470DWT Laser Printer. I can't seem to tell the printer to print multiple size pages in my pdf files.
No matter what I do it still prints all the documents as 8.5x11! It isn't pulling the paper from both printer trays.

  • Do I need to export multiple sizes for all standard print sizes? i.e.Say I crop the image in LR to 6'5" x 9' to fit within an 11" x 14" (overall) mat of a framed print.. Now let's say I want to reprint that same image in a 12" x 16" size ... to fit within

Do I need to export multiple sizes for all standard print sizes? i.e.Say I crop the image in LR to 6'5" x 9' to fit within an 11" x 14" (overall) mat of a framed print.. Now let's say I want to reprint that same image in a 12" x 16" size ... to fit within a mat of with overall size of 20" x 24"? Or will the 1st export be "locked" at 6.5" X 9" (proportionately)?

So, for the first one Export it cropped to 6.5 x 9 - and in the Export Dialog box there is a capability to rename the file for exported output - which would allow you to add something like the crop or intention to the base name of the file.  e.g. for _IMG0846.nef - setup the output filename to _IMG0846-65x9 for 11x14.jpg and output it at, say 300 or 360 dpi.  So, it has a unique name and purpose in your output folder.
For best results, now, re-crop the picture in LR - just open the crop [R] dialog again, reframe the image to the new ratio, 12x16 and Export again - with an adjustment to the filename. e.g. _IMG0846-12x16 for 20x24.jpg
So, now you have two clearly identified image files in your output area and you can provide those to whomever is printing for you, etc.  Discard them when you're done since you always have the original to return to to re-frame again as necessary.
This way you get output sharpening and resolution (in pixels) optimized for your output print size.  Maybe not super important for smallish prints-but more important for larger ones.   Output at 100 quality.

  • 2 questions - change image size within print cell, and saving print template w/ specific images

    Hi,
Searched the forums for the answer to these but couldn't find much.
    1. Is there a way to change the image size within a cell (under print module). For example, zoom in 140% on a a specific image but still have it within the original cell size?
    2. Say I create and fill in an elaborate print template with my images - is there a way to save the FILLED IN version of the template to edit at a later time? For example if I wanted to load it back up w/ all the original images layed out in the print template, but maybe change a few and resave as jpeg?
    Thank you!

    Hi
I'm not sure but maybe you can use a rectangle to hold the .ai image, resize the rectangle and fit proportionally the image inside it
    hope this help

  • How do I set a default page size, orientation, and printer for a particular document in Pages?

I have a simple label document in Pages which I print to my label printer. The label is 1.49 x 3.47 inches and needs to print in Landscape, and it needs to print to my Dymo label printer. How do I set up the Page Setup or Print Setup so it defaults to this document size, orientation, and printer, every time, without me having to manually enter those settings every time?

Thank you for your reply. However, I could not get Templates to work correctly for me.  Following your instructions, I opened my document, opened Page Setup, set the printer, paper size, orientation, and printed a copy to make sure it was right. Then I re-opened Page Setup to verify that the settings were still correct. Then I saved the document as a Template. Then I found my template in Pages, opened the template, and tried to print. The first thing I noticed was that the template did not remember my printer. Then I set the printer, and printed, but I found that the template also did not remember the page size or the document orientation. So, did I miss a step here? Lion 10.7.5 and Mac Mini.

  • How can I select paper size while in print preview ?

I have a printer with four different paper trays, and each one is loaded with different size of paper: A3, A4, Legal, envelopes. When I use IE 11, I can easy go to print preview, click on page setup (little gear icon), select paper size , margins, etc.. there, and when i hit OK, the page is adjusted to the settings I selected and its ready to print, and printer selects the proper size of the paper automatically
In Firefox v32, I can almost do this same, but I'm stuck with printing only on A4 style paper, as I don't see where to select the paper I want to print on !
I tried to select A3 and legal paper in the printer driver, but then firefox used the selected paper, but printout on the paper came out as set to A4 size, and rest of the page was empty ! Also I was not able to see the page preview of the selected paper either. How do I then print on other size papers than a4 ?
I found only one workaround which does not suits my needs but works: First: Go to printer driver and select legal or A3 paper as default, and then open firefox. If I do that i can print on any paper I select, but thats a horrible workaround, because then I often forget to change the default paper size back inside the printer driver, and i print my documents on wrong paper, wasting paper, ink and time...
Please let me know if there is a way to fix this printing feature somehow.
    Thanks.

    MichalB,
Sorry, IMO there is no real "fix" for what you are experiencing. Printer prefs set or changed in the operating system won't affect Firefox printing ''[IMO, either ancient code in Firefox or a "cross-browser thing".]'' Firefox has its' own settings for prefs and it defaults to the "last used" for all printer preference setting. And there is no way to set a pref as "use now and return to my defaults after this print job is completed".
As you have found out, there is no way of changing paper size from the Print Preview screen. Other prefs - Margins & Header/Footer can be changed via Page Setup and you can see changes in the Preview window, but not for paper size. As ''CoryMH'' mentioned, '''paper size''' is selected thru what called the "native print dialog" box using the '''Properties''' button which shows a window provided by your printer software for the Printer which is selected in the "native print dialog" window, and accessed after you hit the Print button in the Print Preview screen.
Problem is that you can't '''"preview"''' what is going to be printed when you change paper size. If you go back to Print Preview without printing from the "native print dialog" the change for Paper Size isn't saved for viewing in Print Preview!
IMO, it would be nice if Firefox recognized each "tray" as a separate printer, so that a user could set Margins & Header/Footer prefs AND paper size per tray. IOW, a feature sort of writing a completely new print module that would reflect "today's" environment with multiple tray printers; rather than to continue using the print module that was built by Netscape back in '94 - '95, which we are stuck with almost 20 years later.
''As I sit here shaking my head after composing this reply, wondering why the issues I had back in 2002 with printing from Firefox / Firebird / Phoenix haven't been corrected in the last 14 years.''
''I do like "old stuff", and have a vehicle sitting my driveway that rolled out of the showroom 30 years ago come October 1 - a 35th birthday present I purchased for myself. [85 Corolla GTS TwinCam coupe - aka Sprinter in GTA] But as far as computer software, I prefer it to be compatible with hardware made in this century.''

  • Lightroom 5 print templates not allowing images to be moved into cells & not allowing individual cells to be selected

I've run into a problem using the LR5 print templates that has occurred suddenly and I need help figuring out what happened.
Yesterday I tried using a Print template from my User Templates menu and the one I selected wouldn't allow an image to be dragged into a cell.  I also noticed that the template wouldn't allow me to select the cells for size adjustment, either.  Other templates had the same behavior, even the templates in the Lightroom Templates menu.
Not only that, but when I hover the mouse cursor over the template name in the menu it displays the template properly in the Preview pane above the menus, but when I click the mouse to select the template the Preview display changes to one that's completely different, which is the same as what shows in the main viewing area.
I have a few non-Lightroom templates (added by me) that work properly, but all of the Print templates in the Lightroom Templates menu show these symptoms.  How can I get the Lightroom Print Templates to behave?
    Anybody...suggestions??
    Thanks!

I'm having almost the exact same problem.    the Lightroom library is not recognizing that the files stored in a LOCAL dropbox folder are the same ones as in the library.   So if I try to "synch" library, i end up with 40k photos that are missing from my library but they are not.   They are there.

  • Print template

Hi... does anyone know a print template that arrange different sizes with different images in the same frame using LR 3?
All I could realise is that we can do that with the same image.

In LR 3.x, you can do this by chosing Custom Package in the Layout Style Panel of the Print Module.
There you can create different sized cells and drag and different images into them.

  • Change print template type to use in different way?

A family member created a print template in my Lightroom5.5 (picked sizes/grid, strokes, etc.) and it seems to have been created as a "Picture Package" because I have saved it, placing it within the "User Templates" folder during the Save process. Now I am asked to fill it with 25 selected images and these are in the sliding image picker at the bottom of the LR interface. (Can't remember the name of that lower panel...) But what surprised me is that this new template layout cannot be used as a "Contact Sheet." Here's what I see on the screen:
    -I have the layout displayed.
-The chosen grid has all the same (first) image displayed
-"Picture Package" is highlighted in the "Layout Style" panel
-I click "Contact Sheet" in the "Layout Style" panel
-The view immediately changes to a single panel filling the chosen paper size.
-I go to the Template Browser and click my desired template again,
-but it does not fill from the selected images
Is this possible? What an odd choice for the UI designer. I don't remember not having the flexibility to switch the way the print template was "filled" before LR5.x  --  I believe I did this in earlier versions.
I searched Adobe documentation. They write about templates as having the stores characteristic of "contact sheet" or "Package" or "Custom", which is new to me. They did not describe a part of the customization at which the user creates a layout as a "contact sheet" or "Picture package" or "Custom". If I start out and create a layout, then decide I want to use that template as a "contact sheet" after I make it, there seems to be no way to save it in a different category of template. So on deadline I find that the workflow is not clear and the documentation does NOT EXPLAIN what to do (or just say: you can't do this, which would be honest and helpful.)
I tried to re-save it as a different "Type" ("Category"?) ...and there seemed no way to do this. I am now going to build another screen with the 25 panels and, no surprise, it must be initiated as a "custom" which is how I believe it was done before.
I am sure someone knows what I am doing wrong. but I spent this time writing out the details so someone at Adobe *might* catch this and talk to the documentation elves. How can we be 5 [major]versions into this and have the workflow/documentation exhibit these holes?

  • What should I work with for an initial file size for final print pieces that range from 18"x12" to 40' x 20'.

I am shooting in Canon RAW and using background plates with green screen images. I am not certain whether I need to create the initial file in multiple sizes for the various final print pieces, or if a single file size should be used and then down-rezzed or uprezzed based on what needs to be printed.
    File sizes are:
    18" x 12" (inches)
    40" x 27" (inches)
    30" x 60" (inches)
    60" x 120" (inches)/5' x 10' (feet)
    20' x 40' (feet)
The largest size format we are doing as 1/10 scale at 720 dpi to go down to 72 dpi for print.
Any suggestions would be helpful. Much thanks.

Is it ok to delete the stuff from the Final Cut Express Documents since I don't need it anymore?
    No problem.

  • Up-Sizing a Print Template

Regarding multi-photo print templates, I have one that is sized for 12″x12″ and has 15 cells. Is there any way to upsize a template as well as the cell dimensions proportionately without having to recreate a totally new template? I tried changing the paper size and, although the paper dimensions changed, the cell sizes remained the same as in the 12×12.
My desire is to print to a file that can be sent to an outside lab. If I send a 12″x12″ file dimension and ask for a 24″x24″ or larger print, image/print quality will suffer.

    Ralph,
No, the cells will not change with the paper size. Make a new template at the larger size wth resized cells, much neater, cleaner and in the long run faster..

  • Lr4 print template not saving 'Print Settings'

First of all ... I'm coming from Lr3 running in Windows XP to Lr4 on a Mac, and I'm still getting used to the way Mac OS does things, so bear with me ...
Since using Lr4 on my Mac, today is the first time coming back to a particular art paper.  If I remember correctly, with Lr3 (Windows) the print settings "Page Setup" and "Print Settings" were combined into a single dialog of parameters.  In any case, a defined Lr3 print template remembered everything (e.g., paper size, paper type, print quality, etc).  However, I am finding Lr4 (Mac) only remembers the 'Page Setup' settings and that I will always need check and usually modify the 'Print Settings'.  Is this a functional difference between Windows and Mac OS, or am I missing something?  Or, did something go awry when I upgraded to Lr 4.1 RC??
