Multiple slide show

I'd like to add captions to the slide show in the given site.
I'd like to run the captions directly below the photos. Can any of
you java script geniuses help with the coding? Thanks.
http://www.inspirationalphotographybycheryl.com/portfolio.html

Thanks Alan for your help!
Would I be able to use a menu selection for this (thus
allowing choices for the slideshow) as I have in my current
slideshow? I'm referring to the side menu of portfolio choices, not
the navigation menu. If so, where and how would I connect it to the
java script?
Thanks again.

  • Multiple slide show problems

    OK. Im really stuck here.
    I have made a slide show in Flash 8 using actionscript 2. Ive
    managed to succeed to a point. But I will tell you prblems and
    hopefully they can be solved here as Ive found no where on web that
    can.
    Problem1: I have a slide show with 5 slides all in the parent
    of 'presentation'. I have input actionscipt code to allow the
    current slide to go to the next slide at the end of the timeline. I
    then linked the last slide with the first slide. Why oh why does
    this freeze on it 2nd loop through the slides on the 3rd slide. I
    just dont get it!! It plays once then freezes on the 3rd
    slide?!?!?!?!?
    Problem2: I have put this actionscipt code against a button,
    why doesnt it work when it does for other people?
    on(release){
    getURL("
    http://www.mysite","_self");
    If anyone can help please do.

    lol use a valid url...good one...not that much of a noob.
    OK so here is code:
    The link code goes as follows: (these links dont work! Why?),
    on(release){
    getURL("
    http://www.mysite","_self");
    The next slide code goes as follows:
    stop();
    function goNext(){
    currentSlide.gotoNextSlide();
    clearInterval(timer);
    var timer = setInterval(goNext, 500);
    The go to first slide goes as follows:
    stop();
    function goNext(){
    _root.presentation.gotoSlide(_root.presentation.slide1);
    clearInterval(timer);
    var timer = setInterval(goNext, 500);
    As I say it all works until 2nd loop and then stops on 3rd
    slide....?

  • Are multiple slide shows possible?

    Can I make more than one slide show per page? I'm guessing no, but here's what I'd like to accomplish: create 3 - 5 thumbnail photos, all on one page... and have each one launch its own independent and relative slide show. Can do? Or do I have to get a more sophisticated website making app? Thanks in advance for any and all help/advice. It seems like like I live in Apple Discussions lately.

    nope, see my post here:
    http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=1122931&tstart=30
    You can link album (thumbnail) to photo page, then slideshow from there, but no direct thumbnail to slideshow

  • Combining multiple slide shows

    I'm not sure this question was ever really answered. I did see it posted. I have about 5 slide shows that I would like to put on 1 DVD. I can make a menu and link to each individual slide show. But I can't figure out how to play all 5 slide shows from beginning to end. Each slide show has 99 slidees. How do I do this? I need to know from someone this week, if possible. Thanks!

    I figured out how to build the playlist. Now I have a playlist with all 5 slideshows on it. What's the next step to put it all on a dvd?

  • Can I make a DVD with multiple slide shows?

    I am making a project for my son's school. Each classroom (7 or 8 rooms) has their own photo show that I am making. The school wants me to put all of the photoshows on one DVD and separate classrooms into different titles, so families can skip to their child's classroom. So, in theory, I would have one DVD and about 7 or 8 chapters on it. Each chapter would be a different photo show. Can this be done? Is there a tutorial that would be able to help me with this? I have made a photo show and have burned it onto a DVD, but I haven't done anything that requires separate headers/titles. Thoughts? Tia.

    Here's a few useful tips when preparing the slideshow/s for an iDvd ...
    First suggestion is not to exceed 6 buttons per menu (although some themes allow for up to 12 buttons per menu).
    Secondly, don't exceed 99 images per slideshow if the objective is to present the slideshow on a typical set top dvd player or TV. Disregard this rule if you will use your mac / computer to present the dvd slideshow. Here's why:
    iDVD '08: After 99 images in a slideshow, set-top DVD player will reset to chapter 1
    In iDVD '08, your slideshows are no longer limited to 99 images. You can now have up to 9,801 images in a slideshow. When you are playing a slideshow on your DVD player, it will number the slides (which are chapters) from 1 to 99 and then start numbering over again at number 1 (on the one-hundredth slide). This is normal and not something you can control when you author your DVD. It is a specification that applies to all DVD players.

    Thirdly, the following are articles to be aware of when making a slideshow/s with iDvd:
    Preparing images for iDVD slideshows
    You can use photos, movies, presentation slides (created in a program such as Keynote), or other image files in a slideshow created in iDVD. iDVD works with any image file that is supported by QuickTime (including PICT, JPEG, TIFF, and PDF.) You can also use photos directly from your iPhoto library.
    Images and movies in a slideshow are scaled to fit the standard DVD window size, but the aspect ratio is preserved. For example, a picture taken vertically (also known as “portrait format”) may have black bands on either side of it to fill out the screen. If you want an image to fit the DVD window exactly, use an image-editing application to resize the image before bringing it into iDVD. (It is not possible to resize movies.) Resize to these dimensions:

    720 x 540 pixels for standard video in NTSC format

    854 x 480 pixels for widescreen in NTSC format

    768 x 576 pixels for standard video in PAL format

    1024 x 576 pixels for widescreen in PAL format
    You can also make sure images in iDVD are always scaled to a size that will fit within the area visible on most TV screens, or the “TV safe area.”
    o fit slides into the TV safe area:
    Choose iDVD > Preferences.
    Click Slideshow.
    Select the checkbox labeled “Always scale slides to TV Safe Area.”
    Adding menus to an iDVD project
    Depending on which theme you choose, the menus in your iDVD project can hold either 6 or 12 buttons. If you need more buttons on a menu than your theme allows, or if you need additional menus to organize the content of your DVD, you can create submenus.
    Submenus give you flexibility in organizing your DVD. For example, perhaps you have several slideshows in your project. You can create a button on your main menu that links to a slideshow submenu that includes links to each of your slideshows. You can also create submenus for additional movies, extra features, and so on.
    To add a submenu:
    Make sure the menu to which you want to add a submenu is showing in the iDVD window.
    Click the Add button (shown below), and choose Add Submenu from the pop-up menu.
    A placeholder button labeled My Submenu appears on the menu. It has the default button style for the theme, so you may need to change it to match other buttons on the menu.
    Click the placeholder label for the new button once to highlight it, and type a new name for the button.
    When you click the label to highlight it, a light blue background appears behind the text.
    Using the pop-up menus in the in-place control that appears (shown below), change the typeface, font style, and font size of the button name if you want.
    To open the new submenu, double-click the newly added button. Notice that iDVD automatically applies the Extras menu style from your project’s theme to the submenu. Also, a Back button that returns to the previous menu appears on the submenu. You can now edit this menu just as you edit any other menu, changing its theme if you want. You can even use the Add button to create buttons that navigate to sub-submenus.
    For more information about creating submenus, see Related Topics below.
    And lastly, keep in mind you can also use iPhoto (as well as third party apps) for making a slideshow/s for use within iDvd.
    Using iPhoto slideshows in iDVD
    You can easily create slideshows in iDVD using images or albums from your iPhoto library.
    You can also add slideshows created in iPhoto to your iDVD project. These slideshows are imported into iDVD as movies, which retain the effects and sounds you created in iPhoto. As a result, you can’t edit or change these slideshows in iDVD, and viewers can’t manually click through the slideshow using the DVD player remote control.
    To import an iPhoto slideshow:
    Make sure the DVD menu from which you want to access the slideshow is open in the iDVD window.
    For example, if you want the slideshow to be accessible from the main menu of the DVD, the main menu should be showing in the iDVD window.
    Open iPhoto and select a slideshow.
    Choose Share > “Send to iDVD.”
    After several minutes, a button for the slideshow appears on the menu. The button has the same name as the slideshow.
    The slideshow also appears in the Movies section of the Media pane, so you can use it in other iDVD projects as well.
    You can change the name of the button by clicking the button twice to highlight the text and typing a new name.
    If iDVD is not open when you send your iPhoto slideshow to iDVD, iDVD opens to a new project automatically when iPhoto finishes processing the slideshow. A DVD menu, with a default theme, is displayed in the iDVD window, and it has a button for the iPhoto slideshow. In this case, if you want to add the sideshow to an existing iDVD project instead, choose File > Open, click Don’t Save, and then choose an existing project. When the project is open, you can click the Media button, then Movies, and drag the slideshow to any menu.
    If your version of iPhoto does not support exporting directly to iDVD, you must export the slideshow from iPhoto as a QuickTime movie, and then import the QuickTime movie into your iDVD project.

  • Can I make different slide shows play without having to go to menu each time

    I put multiple slide shows in the same file and are trying to figure out how to make them play on a continuous loop vs. having to click on each one at the main menu screen

    I put multiple slide shows in the same file
    By file I assume you mean iDVD project, correct?
    Are these slideshows QT movies created from iPhoto or iMovie?  If so put them all in an iDVD slideshow as shown below:
    You can call that particular slideshow "Play All" or something similar.  Set the Slide duration to anything except manual.  Do not use any type of transition.
    Then, while in the Map mode, select the slideshow and use the Advanced ➙ Loop Slideshow menu option.

  • How can i create my BC featured product list in to a slide show for multiple products in one row. i have products aligned in a row i just would like to make it a slide show of the multiple (20) products.

    i have products aligned in a row already using custom css.i just would like to make it a slide show of the multiple (20) products in the one row.
    i am using the featured product module from the development section of business catalyst. i would love to display as many new products as possible in one row of products. so i can just click a arrow left button and scroll through the products.
    holy-shippers.businesscatalyst.com is the site i am mentioning.

    Hello,
    Aside from any custom implementations that may be suggested by any other members, you could also consider using some hero-type slider like those found on our new responsive templates, and have each web-app item contain a product.
    Kind Regards,

  • Multiple transitions in one slide show

    When using iDVD is there a way to apply transitions onto specific slides in a slideshow so that one slide show can have multiple transitions throughout? also is there a way to control the time of each specific time - ex one should be for 5 secs and the next for 3 secs?

    You may want to consider an alternate app that specializes in slideshows.

  • Play multiple video clips in slide show

    I have 4 video clips (or I can do it in 1 movie) I want to have a menu screen with one of the themes. Then I want the viewer to be able to choose clip 1 and then play all the way through the other 3 clips in succession. Or I want them to be able to click clip 3 and then have it play clip 3 and then through to clip 4 and return back to the menu. So basically I would like to work like a standard movie DVD you purchase at a store. Is this possible?
    I know you can put clips into slide shows (hence the title of this thread), but when I do that, it automatically starts to play through the clips. Is there a way to choose the slide show and then to give you the option in there to choose which clip your want, and then to play through the rest sequentially?

    Here's a technique I like to use...
    Create a shape -- It will be black and white where the white is what you want to show video. In the control tab of the shape you can change size/softness/location/aspect... etc.
    Lay the video on the track above - Change the VIDEO track's composite mode to TravelMatte-Luma.
    Use the video's motion tab viewer and image/wireframe in the canvas to center up the image you want.
    Add another shape above that and then video track and change to TravelMatte-Luma etc.
    The plus for this way is that you can change the video without have to reset all the croping and trying to match it all.

  • Can you use multiple songs for a slide show in iphoto ios 2.0?

    I want to prepare a 10 minute slide show that uses more than one song.   It seems you can use a playlist using iphoto for mac (and I have seen that in other discussion threads) but what about iphoto for IOS on an ipad?   It seems to let me only use one song.   I am on IOS7 and using the lastest iphoto for ipad (v 2.0)Any suggestions out there?  Thanks

    You are welcome. Have a look at the GarageBand Help to get started.
    Basically you need to
    Create a new project - select an empty project template.
    Open the Media Browser and drag the songs from your iTunes playlist into the track area.
    Use the "Share" menu to send your new sound track to iTunes.
    This screenshot is from GarageBand 10.0, but in GarageBand '11 it would be similar.
    Just in case that you want to add some sound effects to the soundtrack, like rain or thunder, you will find the clips in the Loop Browser:
    Good luck for your slideshow

  • Creating a slide show...one image repeats multiple time throughout?

    to create a slide show I am dragging a soundtrack onto the new sequence icon...importing 117 jpeg images selecting them and choosing 'automate to sequence'...
    however, one of the jpeg images is being repeated throughout the sequence, over and over again...
    What am I doing wrong...i've even deleted the image from the source import file...and it just haunts me...
    Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

    What version of PrPro do you have?
    There was a glitch with PSD's, in CS 5, and then CS 5.5, but that was supposedly corrected in the latest CS 5.5 update.
    Until then, the workflow, that Stephen_Spider suggested should work fine. You can create an Action to Open, then Save, and Automate>To Batch, for that, to correct an entire folder at a time.
    Good luck,

  • How to apply multiple songs to a slide show?

    How do I install more than one song in a slide show of 439 photos

    You have to combine all songs into one file by using software, for example Audacity.
    PS: I owe this knowledge to a post by Victoria Bampton.

  • Add Music to a Slide Show - Editing Together Multiple Clips

    I want to create a slide show using three songs, and I need to trim each song.  Is there a way to do this in Elements?  If not, what software should I use to edit the music into one audio file that can be added to Elements?  I can't seem to do that in Windows Media Player.  Thanks!

    Which version of Photoshop Elements ?
    1 - The PSE slide show editor does have a very basic capability for trimming music.
    http://tv.adobe.com/watch/learn-photoshop-elements-8/getting-started-22-creating-a-slide-s how/
    demonstrates using a trim of the audio which I think will also apply to other versions of PSE
    2 - Do you also have Adobe Premiere Elements ?  If yes, you could add your music and trim it within Premiere Elements.
    3 - Or a free editor for audio for which I have heard recommendations is - Audacity.
    I think that it would be capable of creating the single music file for your slideshow.

  • PSE9 - can a slide show be created from multiple folders in folder order?

    I keep my pictures in folders by year.  In all other releases of Photoshop Elements I could select keywords, display them from all folders, then create a slide show from all folders in file name within folder order.  Is this still possible in PSE9?  I tried sorting them in the Quick Reorder screen and couldn't figure out what order it put them in.  I find it frustrating having to rearrange all the pictures.

    Hi,
    If you are looking for a way to show files in date order then you can do so using the option Media Browser arrangement shown on top right of image well. You can choose Date Newest First or Oldest First as required. In folder view of PSE 9 you will be shown files that have been i mported from that folder only. You can turn on the timeline(Ctrl + L)  to navigate between folders.
    Hope this helps. It would be great if you could explain the workflow more clearlrfor us to help further.
    Thanks

  • Is it possible to add multiple  songs to a slide show?

    Hi there.
    A slide show can be quite long as you all know and the same music continusly repeated can become boring.
    Is it possible to add several songs to the slide show to overcome this problem?
    Regards.

    One thing you can do to make it all turn out even--think about how long each slide is going to display, say you want about 3 seconds per slide, multiply by the number of slides, say you have 100 slides (I picked those numbers so the arithmetic would be easy!). That's a total of 300 seconds. Divide by 60 seconds per minute to get the number of minutes, in this case that would be 5 minutes. Then when you make your playlist in iTunes find music that fits the mood of the show and that totals a little more than 5 minutes (and is NOT Protected, as Terence mentioned). Back in iPhoto select your Playlist in the Music section and then check the box to have the slideshow fit the music, and iPhoto will adjust the display time so that everything runs the same length of time. Export to iDVD and burn your disk.
    Personally, I like to get a little fancier, so I export my slideshow without sound, then open the project in iMovie HD and make a layered soundtrack, where I arrange the music and sound effects, as in this one:
    http://homepage.mac.com/francines/.Movies/kenstr.html
    It has the music, plus a coffee gurgle, birds tweeting, page flips and a lion roar at the end. Once it's built you can send it to iDVD at full size and/or, as I did here, make a small streaming web version to share over the Internet. I wrote up a VERY short tutorial on this (notes from a workshop I ran) and put it up here:
    http://pinkmutant.com/smug/psws06/bling.html
    Afraid I haven't worked that much with iMovie 08, but I believe you can do something along the same lines.
