Multiple songs for slideshow

I am making a slideshow for a group event, and want to have more than one song, but no breaks to go click on the next slideshow. What is the best way to do this?

Thanks for the ideas. I'm just getting started in this little hobby, and it sounds as though it might get expensive!
Of your suggestions, all I have is imovie. I put the sound tracks together first, and then added my slides. The music extends quite a ways beyond the slides. Is there a way to make the slides automatically fit the timing of the songs, like in idvd? Or can I import a sound only file from imovie to use in idvd? Or would garageband (I haven't used at all) be a better application for creating the sound file? If only things worked together better--I love the way the iphoto slideshow applies Ken Burns, and the way idvd makes the music fit. I want it all!
One additional question. I do have Final Cut Express, which I haven't used yet. Would you recommend getting familiar with that rather than spend a lot of time learning how to work with imovie?
Thanks!

  • Selecting multiple songs for Playlist or deletion...

this one's probably pretty easy, but how do you select multiple songs in the Music Library to be able to use in a new Playlist or to delete...I can't seem to find the right keystrokes for this....

Command-click to select multiple items or click the first one and Shift-click the last one if the items are consecutive.
Then press Delete to delete them or choose 'New Playlist from Selection' in the File menu (Shift-Command-N) to create a playlist of the selection.
You can find most shortcuts in the 'Keyboard Shortcuts' of the' Help' menu.
    Hope this helps.

  • Can you use multiple songs for a slide show in iphoto ios 2.0?

I want to prepare a 10 minute slide show that uses more than one song.   It seems you can use a playlist using iphoto for mac (and I have seen that in other discussion threads) but what about iphoto for IOS on an ipad?   It seems to let me only use one song.   I am on IOS7 and using the lastest iphoto for ipad (v 2.0)Any suggestions out there?  Thanks

You are welcome. Have a look at the GarageBand Help to get started.
    Basically you need to
Create a new project - select an empty project template.
Open the Media Browser and drag the songs from your iTunes playlist into the track area.
Use the "Share" menu to send your new sound track to iTunes.
This screenshot is from GarageBand 10.0, but in GarageBand '11 it would be similar.
Just in case that you want to add some sound effects to the soundtrack, like rain or thunder, you will find the clips in the Loop Browser:
    Good luck for your slideshow

  • Multiple songs on slideshows

  • For those looking to add a soundtrack of multiple songs and multiple slide

YES YOU CAN!!!! the short answer is:
Use garage band and choose the songs you want from itunes. When starting garage band I choose "movie track". (may work in others too)
Drag in all the songs you want. Manipulate all you want. Fade, trim, whatever... Then click SHARE>Export podacst to disk. I have mine saved to the desktop. It will be a M4a file that you then drop right into itunes.
Open Keynote and choose that song as your soundtrack! Ta'da ! That will make one long soundtrack for all of your slides... or...
Get creative and make a edited song of multiple songs for one slide, and another for the next and so forth by repeating the process for whatever audio you envision... It works, I did it. And I am an idiot.

This is great!!! Thanks for posting!

  • How do I organize my itunes library so that album name only shows up once for multiple song?

When I view the songs in my itunes library, it appears that album names appear multiple times even though they are the same album. (that I may have added to my itunes library at different times).
For example: For U2 album War, there are multiple songs in my library which I downloaded or uploaded in my itunes album at different times. Now the album War under artist U2, appears multiple times. How do I organize and make songs that belong in the same album appear under the album once so when I choose the specific album, all the songs are available there so I can listen to it all or shuffle it within the album. I don't want single songs under the same album names. It is very irritating. Please help to organize my itunes library better, I have a large album and it would be much easier if the album names would appear once when I have multiple songs for that album. Thanks!

Each tune gets a file name - that is how iTunes works. iTunes is a data base manager.
In a PlayList a reference is created that will link to a specific tune.
You can take the tunes that you do not want listed under a particular album name and change the album name using 'Get Info' for that tune(s) from the iTunes window.

  • How can I purchase multiple songs in one transaction?

I have about 40 songs in my wishlist and I'd like to purchase some of them (not all at this time); is there a way to select multiple songs for purchase so I only have one charge on my card versus a bunch of individual charges for each song?

    Hi,
For implementinq and using 2-phase commit using TUXEDO, u need to setup the following:
    1. Create separate Tuxedo Server groups each with an OPENINFO pointing to different databases.
    2. Distribute ur Tuxedo servers among these Tuxedo Groups to match the correct database these servers want.
The thumd rule is that all Tuxedo servers belonging to a Tuxedo Server Group can access only one Resource
Manager using the XA interface. Thats why, the OPENINFO connect information are specified at GROUP level
and servers belong some Tuxedo server group.
And now, you r all set for some real action.
    Write a client,
    Start a Global Transaction (tpbegin)
Now call services from different tuxedo groups
Commit or Rollback (tpcommit or tpabort)
TMSes will take care that ur commits and rollbacks are consistent across different databases.
If u need some help, feel free to write to me off the list.
    Good Luck!

  • I have multiple songs I would like to include in my slideshow.  Can I change the rate of presentation for each song?  For instance, upbeat song with a 2 secong presenation time and slower song with a 3 second presentation time?

I have multiple songs I would like to include in my slideshow.  Can I change the rate of presentation for each song?  For instance, upbeat song with a 2 secong presenation time and slower song with a 3 second presentation time

    Alternatives to iPhoto's slideshow include:
    PhotoToMovie  $49.95
    PulpMotion  $129
    FotoMagico $99
    Final Cut Pro X $299
It's difficult to compare these apps. They have differences in capability - some are driven off templates. some aren't. Some have a wider variety of transitions. Others will have excellent audio controls. It's worth checking them out to see what meets your needs. However, there is no doubt that Final Cut Pro X is the most capable app of them all. You get what you pay for.

  • How Do I select Multiple songs to Use with Slideshow?

I am running Lightroom 4 on an iMac with OS - Lion. Love it!
I am trying to create a slideshow with music in the background but I cannot seem to select more than 1 song. How can I select multiple songs?
    Thanks
    Adrian

The slide show feature in Lightroom isn't really very flexible or feature packed.  I suspect the design was to provide professional photographers a quick way to show proofs to clients.  You will have to use other software for what you intend to accomplish.  I'm going to be creating a slide show with about 500 images soon.  My intention is to create the slide show with Lightroom and export as video.  Then I will use Premiere Elements and import the video and lay down the music track.  There are easier ways to do it, I know.  But I don't do this kind of thing very often and don't plan to purchase more software that would make it easier.

  • More than one song for one slideshow?

Is it possible to play more than one song, or like a playlist, for a slideshow? I have tried selecting a whole playlist and it shows how many items are selected, but after the first song plays it plays again and again. My slideshow is over 1,000 pictuers long and I do not want to continue to play the same song over and over, is there any way to do this?

I have play lists that I select and that play with slide shows - This may be one of these things like saving photo edits that seem to randomly work and ramdomly do not
At one time it looked like selecting multiple songs would work but it seems not to but, at least for me, selecting a play list does work.

  • Adding multiple songs to a slideshow in Iphoto......

I know how to add a song to a picture slide show in iPhoto. But how do I add lets say several songs to one big slide show? I was asked to do it as a favor for a friend because it is her birthday. I am gonna do one song for her early years than as she gets older switch it to another song, etc......But how can I do it on one big file? It is gonna go on a dvd or cd and be played at a birthday party and I would like to be able to pop it in and not have to change the cd or have to press any buttons on the dvd player.
Thanks for the help and sorry if the question is confusing....

Create a playlist for the slideshow in iTunes. Then in the slideshow settings, select the entire playlist rather than any individual song. If you can't see your playlists in the box, then you need to look for the little dot (or dimple) and drag it to open the window wider.
For screenshots that beautifully illustrate the process, see this thread: http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=2237291 and follow the links in lori_diloretto's last post.
While the iPhoto slideshow is the easiest to create, the timing of the songs during play of the iPhoto slideshow is imprecise, especially when you export the slideshow to QuickTime or iDVD (for burning to disc). If you want to precisely match the music to the slides, you may wish to import your slideshow album into iMovie (use the Media Pane in iMovie, locate the album, and simply drag it into the iMovie project), then manipulate the music track from there. When done, launch iDVD, create a new project, and import the iMovie project. You can customize your DVD menu(s) and burn the movie to DVD.
    Regards.

  • How Do I put in the same image for multiple songs on iTunes

    Hi,
I know if I click on the song on "info", I am able to change the album image. Is there a way for me to select multiple songs and do a bulk change with the same image?
    Thanks.

    Yes.
Select multiple songs, get info and paste the artwork.
Or select multiple songs and drag the artwork to the artwork window at the lower left of iTunes.

  • One player for multiple songs on webpage. How do I do it?

I have multiple songs listed on a webpage and I'm looking for a way to listen to them without opening a new page eveytime you click on a song. It doesn't have to be a fancy player interface.
Something that allows the viewer to continue reading the contents, of that same page, while listening to their song of choice.
Also, can someone suggest a way to present the songs for listening only, while disallowing the ability to download the actual file?
    Thanks,
    Keith

  • How do I add multiple songs to a Slideshow

My slideshow is about 2 to 3 songs in length. When adding music I can only figure out how to use one song for the background music. Rather than having the same song play over and over, is there any way I can select 3 songs to play one after the other.
