Multiple SOURCE_SRID/TARGET_SRID combinations in MDSYS.SDO_COORD_OPS.

When there are duplicate SOURCE_SRID/TARGET_SRID combinations in MDSYS.SDO_COORD_OPS each with a different COORD_OP_METHOD_ID how do I determine which COORD_OP_METHOD is used when I do a SDO_CS.TRANSFORM operation? I want to ensure that I use the NTv2 method for particular SOURCE_SRID/TARGET_SRID combinations.

First I created a preferred ops use case: SDO_CS.ADD_PREFERENCE_FOR_OP(1804,4203,4283,'AGD84 to GDA94')
Then I used SDO_CS.TRANSFORM in the form you specified: select sdo_cs.transform(SDO_GEOMETRY(2001,4203,SDO_POINT_TYPE(119.006177201804, -32.2452521646147, NULL),NULL,NULL),'AGD84 to GDA94',4283) from dual;
The grid file I am using was converted to ASCII using GDAit and loaded into the appropriate parameter value for the coord_op and method I am using.
There aren't any other error messages, just a process, and session id, and serial numbers (different each time).

Multiple deliveries getting combined into one invoice automatically by job

Hello All,
I'm facing issue, multiple deliveries are getting combined in one invoice automatically. The invoices are created by background jobs. It should not combine the multiple deliveries into one invoice ideally as it is being created by background jobs. Could any one please share what might be the cause of it.

When you run the dialog or batch billing job the prgram SDBILLDL is triggered.
It simply reads the billing due index (VKDFS) and retrieves all due documents
for processing (internal table V60P_INPUT_VKDFIF)
The program in the standard processes 1000 entries at a time as required
and if each entry processed passes the split criteria (outlined in note 11162)
The system could in theory create one invoice for all 1000 entries picked up.
You see this processing here:

As you see above, the system tries to bill all entries together
where the customer, sales org and billing type are the same.
It will do this 1000 times before it forces a split.
(you will also notice user exits here which can be used to change this
outcome)
Check note 11162 for the details of what header fields will cause a split.
As outlined previously you could use an item data transfer routine and the field
ZUKRI to force a split on your own terms.

Tranparacy of multiple series in Combination Chart

Is there any way to handle/change transparancy of markers saperately in a combination chart. Like if I have 2 series and I want to make 1st series marker completely transparent and other non transparent - is it possible?

No, the markers are either on or off for all series. Which I think is a limitatation and can be acheived in Flex 2.
You'll have to overlay a line chart with the series you want to show/hide the data markers for.

Trying to combine multi PDF docs into one, but losing a barcode overlay at the bottom of the page.

I'm attempting to put approximately 100 PDF documents (various page lengths) together to create one, however when I use the typical method, File>Create PDF>Multiple Files then combine them I lose the barcode at the bottom of the page. I believe the barcode is seen by Adobe as an overlay, but I could be mistaken. I'm not sure if there is some options I could be changing to make this work. My other alternative is to use the insert...but this would be very time consuming. I'm looking to have more of these in the future so any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Windows Explorer Crashes when Combining PDFs

When I select multiple PDFs to combine into one, on a somewhat frequent basis, this is causing Windows Explorer to stop working. The single PDF that I am trying to assemble can be anywhere from 200 to 3000 pages. It is very inconsistent when this problem occurs. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the program, but the problem persists. I am using Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro and my laptop is running Windows XP. I have a co-worker who is running Windows 7 and has also experienced this problem, so I do not believe it is related to the version of Windows that I am using.

AA9 what? Currently it is at 9.5.4 and you may have an update issue that needs to be taken care of, particularly if you are running a 64-bit version of Win 7.

Can I combine multipe .swf files into one?

Hello. I'm testing InDesign CS4 and it's ability to export a layout to a .swf file for viewing as a digital edition. I'd like to export multiple layouts and combine them into a single .swf file which can be read together. Is this possible, or would I have to combine all the different InDesign layouts into one before exporting?

SWF files as I understand it aren't editable. You'd need to combine your layouts in InDesign ahead of time.
If you were exporting XFL files to open and edit in Flash, it's possible but there are technical issues. Each page becomes a single symbol, named by its page number. So if you have multiple XFLs to import into Flash, they will have the same names for the symbols. The current issue of InDesign Magazine (NOT a free download) has a article that goes into all this in detail.

Broadcasting multiple reports to one email adress

Dear All,
we have the requirement to generate multiple single reports and to broadcast them via PDF. We have everything working but the individual reports are sent to one e-mail adress, so that one e-mail adress can receive multiple emails. We would like to make the setting that multiple reports are combined in one e-mail per e-mail adress.

If possible, try to create a Web application designer with all the Queries in it and execute the report.

Combining Files - Controlling Bookmark Magnification

Application: Adobe Acrobat X Pro
When combining groups of files (usually .doc files) into a single .pdf file, bookmarks are automatically created for the first page of each source file – which is a convenient feature.
I frequently combine multi-sized pages, but I can't know whether my readers have changed their default Page Display Zoom setting. I want to make sure that for each new 'section' (or source file) in the combined .pdf file (where the bookmarks are set) they see the whole page first.
I know how to edit each bookmark's magnification to be ‘Fit Page’ after the files have been combined, but manually editing each bookmark one-at-a-time is tedious.
Question: Is there a setting to control the magnification of automatically-created bookmarks before multiple files are combined into a single .pdf file?

Not possible with Acrobat. The defaults cannot be changed, and there is no way to alter the action of an existing bookmark via scripting so it can't be automated without a custom plugin (I don't know of one that does it out of the box).

Why is there no functionality for multiple select of continuous icons in icon view?

I have just switched to my first mac. I admit I am experiencing growing pains switching over from a PC. I am already overcoming many of these, but I have one issue in particular that for the life of me, I don't know why apple engineers left out.
Why is it that I can select continuous multiple items by clicking "shift + first icon" and "shift + last icon" in the finder in list, column, and cover flow views, but NOT in the icon view?
I realize a work-around for this would be to use a selection box and then to de-select the images I don't want. This is the best option I have at this point, but honestly, I am extremely dissapointed that I have to even have a "work-around." Simply put, this should not be an issue.
I prefer icon view when superficially browsing my photos because I can see all my photos at the same time and change the thumbnail size. There is no view besides icon view that has easy access to changing thumbnail size. Therefore, there is no view at all that offers the functionality of changing thumbnail size AND selecting multiple items. This functionality is standard in PC operating systems for icon view. The multiple select in combination with changing thubmnail size is also extremely useful for me when transferring select files to external devices. For example...I may be giving files to a family member on their jump drive. As a teacher, I am often exchanging jump drives with other teachers for class photos, documents, etc., and being able to visually spot the items I want and to use continuous select is sometimes the easiest way to search within a folder.
I called in to apple technical support and most of the people I spoke with were surprised to see that this functionality had been "left out" of the icon view in the finder.
If the multiple select functionality cannot be added to icon view, it would be nice if the slider for changing thumbnail size was available in list or column view. That way, I could at least have multiple select functionality in conjuction with the option of enlarging items.
Please participate in this thread if you want this functionality added to the finder icon view!

I don't think that Apple thinks that's a workaround. It is the way one goes about selecting multiple icons.
It's a Mac/Windows difference that can be frustrating to new comers to the Mac. I can promise you that, with time, you'll get used to it!
Still, as macjack suggests, let Apple know what you think.

It may be a Mac/Windows difference, but Apple are not being consistent with their UI because in both Aperture and iPhoto you can do Shift-click to select multiple items in thumbnail view which, apart from the name, is the same interface type as icon view in Finder.
Like the OP, I find this frustrating, not because I use Windows as well (at work) but because of the above and because it just seems illogical not to be able to do this when you can in all the other views in Finder. Oh, and Linux allows Shift-click multiple select too.

Listen to multiple Live Streams at once

I am developing an application where I need musicians to play together and I want to have an audience listen to it. I have created my publisher clients and they can create the streams, but now I want to take those multiple streams and combine them so that you can hear the guitar, singer, etc. all together.
Is this possible, do I need to tell the server side script to combine them and create a new stream? Any help would be appreciated!

I haven't used it myself, but the info on the ejamming site indicates that they're using a P2P protocol, and I suspect it's UDP based.UDP is more suitable for a use case such as this, as UDP is a lossy protocol. Additionally, the P2P nature of ejamming's application takes the trip to the server out of the picture, as the data doesn't need to bounce off the server. This reduces the time it takes to get the data from one client to another.
FMS, on the other hand, uses TCP/IP, which is a lossless protocol. Any data that doesn't make it to the server on the first trip (and in the proper sequence) has to be re-sent, which adds to latency on the stream. That, combined with encoding and transmission latency really removes reliability from an application that depends on consistently low latency. That's not to say it isn't possible, it just isn't reliable.
All that said, you might consider testing with RTMFP. RTMFP is a UDP based P2P protocol supported by Flashplayer 10 (http://labs.adobe.com/technologies/stratus/). RTMFP requires that you use a rendezvous service, and currently, the only such service is Adobe's stratus service. The word is that future versions of FMS will support RTMFP rendezvous services, but there is no official word on whether "future versions" means the next version, or a version further down the road. Of course, all of this introduces a few new considerations:
1. Each musician will need a lot more upload bandwidth, as each subscriber would need to connect to the publisher to receive the stream. For example, let's say you have 5 musicians. That means each musician needs to serve his/her stream to each of the other 4 musicians (RTMFP does not support multicast/swarming)
2. This approach doesn't satisfy the need to play the streams to a listening audience (RTMFP is not suitable for serving streams to a large audience). You'd still need to publish a stream from each musician to FMS over RTMP, come up with some sort of timecode logic to track latency, and then try to sync those streams on the playback client.
I tend to shy away from the term "impossible" (that word tends to lead to foot-in-mouth), but in this case, it seems to me that an FMS-centric solution would be less than reliable.

30 Bit Display Layer Combination Accuracy Question

I have an ATI 5670 and I find I can enable the [ ] 30 Bit Display checkbox.
I know my monitors can't show 30 bit data because they're hooked up via DVI and VGA, but what I was hoping I might find is that the image pyramids inside Photoshop, where multiple layers are combined to form downsized images for quick preview, would be calculated using higher precision when this setting is enabled. Unfortunately, I don't find this to be the case. The layers still seem to be combined with 8 bit accuracy.
Here, for example, is a 16 bits/channel astroimage with an extreme curves adjustment layer over a relatively dark image. It's at 33.33% zoom in this screen grab. Note the posterization.
This is what it looks like if I choose Layer - Flatten:
The reason I want higher quality combinational logic should be obvious from the first image above.
I also find the posterization goes away if I view the image at 100%, but that makes it impossible to see the entire image so doing things like image-wide field flattening isn't effective.
Now, I DO have a reasonably effective workaround, though it's not perfect: If I set the Cache Levels to 1 in the Performance dialog, and switch graphics processor usage to Basic, I find I can work at any zoom level and the image layers are combined at full 16 bits/channel accuracy. In fact, this workaround is more viable for Photoshop CS6 than it was for Photoshop CS5, since with the older version I found I had to disable OpenGL Drawing entirely to avert crashes. Now it hangs together on Basic mode, so that's nice.
But unfortunately with Cache Levels set to 1 some things get mighty slow, and I really wouldn't want to leave it set this way for general photography editing. At the moment I leave 32 bit Photoshop set at Cache Levles 1, while 64 bit Photoshop is set with Cache Levels at the default (4 or 6 I think), and I use one or the other depending on the kind of work I'm going to do.
It seems to me that the [ ] 30 Bit Display setting should effect a change to a higher accuracy mode for layer combination, otherwise people with actual 30 bit displays who use layers may sense posterization as well.
Adobe (Chris?): Any plans to update this? As I recall back last time I brought this up we heard that it's not a trivial task. Alas, I had been hoping it might be done for Photoshop CS6.

I have exactly this same problem 2 years later (using CS6). Posterization on any zoom other than 66%/100%. It's a terrible bug as it also takes this into account when converting back from 16-bit to 8-bit (with dither) whilst retaining layers. It actually converts to 8-bit using the posterized data. I can be 100% zoomed in where everything looks smooth and dandy, convert to 8-bit and it looks like it did at 50%, but permanent.
The only way to get a good conversion is to flatten first.
So the bug is still there and/or worse than it was.
I will try this cache thing but my image is 1GB so not looking forward to that...The worst thing is I'm trying to do some subtle black and white work but I can't at the zoom level I want.

Multiple Rows and Columns selection on ALV

Hi all,
What is the best solution to allow the multiple selection or combination of selection (rows and columns) on an ALV ?
I would like to be able to select some rows and some columns and to get the result cells in order to update them.

I forgot to precise that my ALV is dynamic, I used the method 'add_new_child_node'.
I tried the different possibilties with method attributes but I don't find the good attributes combination to allow columns selection.
I add also that I have to be able to select several no adjacent columns.
What do you think about this workaround :
Is it possible to add a line on my ALV with checkbox between the header line (with column title) and data line.
I will search using the method add_cell_variant but I don't know if it's possible with dynamic ALV.

Concatenate multiple lines into 1

I am trying to pull a list of journal entries that meet a certain criteria. What I would like to know is if I can take that list of multiple lines and combine them into one? This way I can use the results and run another report with those parameters. I don't know of any other way to pull in all the lines in a journal entry with certain GL accounts. I know I can do this if I export a query as an .iqy file and run it in excel, but nobody in my company knows, or wants to know, how to do this other than me. Or if you know of a better way, I would surely appreciate it.
