Multiple time zone display

Hi All
I know this isn't possible with the built in Calendar App but I've been searching the app store and can't see anything that obviously does this. Bit surprised as I'm sure it would be so useful to many people. I'm looking for an App that will integrate with Google Calendar but shows multiple time zones. So for example, if I have a meeting at 11am in London I can also see what time that is in say New York aswell.
Thanks
Shell

I have tried to do the same on my N73ME & N95 8GB. It's not something that is standard in the phone software.
When I do in abroad, I set the clock as a shortcut & go to the "WORLD" tab & view all the cities that I have added.
It's not a solution but the way it is. Maybe NOKIA will think about that for a future firmware.

    Seems like an obvious feature no one has thought about?

    Sorry, no.

  • Loyalty program in multiple time zone point expiry calculation

    Hi,
    We are having Loyalty 8.1.1.7 implementations in multiple time zones where users are doing transactions. We had point expiry set at the point type level in such a way that the points assigned to the member should get expired in 1 years time frame at the end of the year. This is working as expected if the transactions were created for any day of the year except Dec 31st. Do we have any workaround to address such issue.
    Regards,

    Can you provide more detail as to what is happening for those items that expire on the 31st?  Are you getting an error?

  • Create events over multiple time zones

    Hello again,
    How do I create events over multiple time zones? For instance, a plane leaves on GMT time zone and lands on GMT+5.
    If iCal doesn't allow this, what is your suggested approach in this case?
    Thanks in advance!

    You're right, iCal doesn't allow this.
    I just add the abbreviation for the timezone at the end of the title. For example: "AA Flight 407 - CDT", keeping in mind that the block of time for that event showing in iCal is always in that time zone.
    It's not ideal, but it works for me.

  • LSO Time Zone display

    Hi Everyone,
    This is my first time working with LSO and I am trying to configure it so that the times for the courses are displayed with a time zone.
    At my project Course Schedules are displayed as 10 AM or 5 PM on the Portal. We want to change this to 10 AM EST or 5 PM CT. Can this be changed from the portal? Or the Time Schedules have to be set up on the back end accordingly. If we can change it from the portal, how can we go about doing this. If a back end change is required, I would like to know how to make this change as well.
    Thanks!!!
    Guy James

    Manish,
    We are facing a similar problem at our project.
    1. When I log on to the portal the time shows Military time. 10:00 or 16:00. How can this be changed to 10 Am and 4 Pm. We made changes in the Time schedule to a 12 hr clock but the changes are not reflecting on the portal.
    2. Once we get the above to change then we would make changes to display the Time Zone.
    Please advise on No 1.
    Thanks,
    Neelima

  • Application for multiple times zones?

        I have a world edition and travel quite a bit.  Anyone know of any application out there that allows one to schedule  events in more than one time zone?   What would be best is a program that allows me to enter something in my calendar that then allows me to select which time zone that event will occur in.  Barring that perhaps there is a clock program that allows me to at least see three or more times simultaneously.

    There is no software that I no of (RIM should take notice as it's a problem with the device itself).
    I have faced the same problem and I can give you half a solution. What I do is enter the apointment based on the + or minus of the GMT schedule for the time zone I'm going to be in. Of course it will be incorrect in your present time zone. However, when you change the BB clock for the new time zone all your appointments will show up at the correct time.
    Good Luck,

  • Multiple time zones for one calendar entry

    I'm running iCal on Lion 10.7.4 , as well as the Calendar app on iOS 5.1.1 on my iPhone and my iPad. When traveling, I sometimes have a starting time in one time zone and an ending time in another. (When flying from NY to CA, for example.) Is there some way I can have two time zones within a given event for cases such as this? I've turned on Time Zone support in iCal, but that only allows me to set a one-off time zone for an entire event.
    Microsoft Outlook on a Windows machine allows for this; is there any way for me to do it on my Mac, iPhone, or iPad?

    Hi,
    You could set the event, then change the timezone to the destination one and then set the end time. When you switch timezones the start and end times should change in iCal (unless the event is set to floating).

  • Change displayed time zone within a JSpinner - Help!

    Hi,
    I have a JSpinner formated to use a date model. The format of the text displayed includes the time zone. The time zone displayed is my local time zone and I would like it to be a different time zone (Etc/UTC). I have tried setting the time zone of date the spinner is intialized with as well as the SimpleDateFormat string passed into the editor, but the spinner still displays the local time zone. I have been searching online and in the forums and while I've found lots of issues with using the date model spinner, I haven't found this particular issue. Any help is greatly appreciated!!
    Here is my code:
    // Save off the current date and time
    GregorianCalendar now = new GregorianCalendar();
    // Set the timezone to be UTC
    now.setTimeZone(TimeZone.getTimeZone("Etc/UTC"));
    // Create a date/time spinner with a default value of the current
    // date and time, no upper or lower bounds, and can be
    // incremented by the minute.
    JSpinner myTimeSpinner = new JSpinner(
       new SpinnerDateModel(now, null, null, Calendar.MINUTE)
           // This empty method is needed for the MINUTE increment
           // to work; otherwise it increments by the first field
           // in the display
           public void setCalendarField(int field){}
    // Define a time format to be used
    SimpleDateFormat myTimeFormat =
       new SimpleDateFormat("yyyy-MM-dd HH:mm:ss z");
    // Set the time zone on the format
    myTimeFormat.setTimeZone(TimeZone.getTimeZone("Etc/UTC"));
    // Set the editor to use the defined time format
    myTimeSpinner.setEditor(
       new JSpinner.DateEditor(myTimeSpinner,
       myTimeFormat.toPattern()));Thanks again!
    Naomi

    When you call myTimeFormat.toPattern(), you are losing the time zone information. You need to instantiate the JSpinner.DateEditor, then call:
    editor.getFormat().setTimeZone(TimeZone.getTimeZone("Etc/UTC"))

  • Exchange Server meetings in Russian time zones as well as names of time zones are incorrect after October 26, 2014

    After October 26, 2014, Exchange Server users who are in Russian time zones may see meeting times incorrect Time Zone-display names may be outdated in OWA.
    RU8 should release in middle of November of this year.
    The RU8 update only updates the “Time Zone Name” http://support2.microsoft.com/kb/3004235
    Time zone display names in OWA will be outdated after October 26, 2014. Meeting times will be updated if you install the 2014 time zone update for Russia (KB 2998527)
    for the Windows Server. Exchange Server 2010 and Exchange Server 2013 rely on Windows for time zone information.
    The actual times will be correct in OWA as long as the Windows OS update is applied: http://support2.microsoft.com/kb/2998527
    Note:
    There are multiple components involved this issue.Windows PC O/S update, Windows Server O/S update and Exchange server application update. We need to ensure all the below things are up-to date in-order for this functionality to work properly.
    Windows PC - It should have the latest patch updated.There is no patch that needs to be rolled out for windows PC for this functionality to work.Just ensure that end users are in the latest available patch.
    Windows Server- Ensure that the Windows server is latest update (http://support2.microsoft.com/kb/2998527)
    Exchange Server patching-  There is also an Outlook Web Access (OWA) related component to this involving the availability of the latest Russian time zone changes into the OWA display.   Meetings will display correctly in the calendar,
    it is more of a feature issue around time zone display names.  Exchange Server SP3 RU8 will address this, and it will be released in middle November.

  • Is there an iCal add-in that will accommodate different time zones?

    I am a former Windows/Outlook guy, now living in an all-Apple world (iMac on my desktop; iPhone, iPad and/or MacBook Air when I travel, which I frequently do.)
    Here is my challenge (something that was easy, easy, easy to do in Outlook):
    I want to be able to create events in iCal that will occur in some other time zone without having to do the mental math.
    For example, I am sitting at my desk in my home time zone (Eastern Time) and book a flight from Washington to Los Angeles for sometime next month.  What I WANT to do is create an event with a start time of 8:30 am Eastern and an end time of 11:30 am Pacific.  To do that now, I have to mentally say "That's really 8:30 Eastern to 2:30 pm Eastern". Hope I got the conversion right.  If I did, all is good.  The event will show up properly in my iPhone at departure time in DC.  When I fire up my iPhone on landing in LA, the internal clock adjusts, and everything is good. If I make a mental mistake (for example, add hours rather than subtract), I might miss my flight.
    I have another trip already on the books to Dallas.  I get an email from a colleague setting up a meeting while I am there.  Regardless of whether I am sitting at my iMac in DC or looking at my MacBook in a hotel room in LA, what I want to is be able to enter the appointment as "2 o'clock Central Time" and be assured it will show up in the proper time in my calendar, regardless of where (or when) in the world I happen to be the next time I look at iCal.
    Most of the comments on this forum suggest work arounds. "Just work it out in your head". But I am not talking about doing this occasionally with one or two events.  I do it constantly with literally scores of events occuring in multiple time zones. And there is nothing worse than setting an alarm clock for 3 in the morning in Paris so you can get up to catch that 8 pm Eastern board of directors conference call only to discover you missed the call because you screwed up the math when you entered the call in your calendar.
    Like I said. Outlook in Windows does this flawlessly.  But setting up Outlook on my home Mac (in a Windows partition) defeats the purpose of my trying to do it on the software, platform and hardware I prefer to use.
    Which is a long winded explanation to get back to my simple question:  is there an iCal add-in or standalone app that plays well with iCal that will let me designate the time zone for start and end times when I create an iCal entry?

    It sounds like 1Password may do what you're looking for.

  • How can I set an alarm clock set to a time zone?

    Hi,
    I am about to go traveling quite a bit in multiple time zones. However, I have to take medication every 24 hours. I use the iPhone alarm to set a time. Is there a way I can adjust it so it goes off whenever it is, say 10pm in US eastern time zone even if I'm in another time zone and my iphone clock is local time?
    thanks!

    Hi, ralphsen01-
    You can do this using window.scrollTo():
    http://stackoverflow.com/questions/3163615/how-to-scroll-html-page-to-given-anchor-using-j query-or-javascript
    Please note that when you embed an Animate OAM into Muse, you're in effect putting it into an iframe.  Therefore, you need to call the parent window.  You can get more information on this by searching for "iframe to parent communication" in a search engine.
    Hope this helps,

  • Different time zones in the same calendar subscription

    Dear kind helpers,
    To state my problem as clear as possible, I need to be a bit long. Sorry for that.
    I registered to a calendar displaying the rugby schedule for the VI nations tournament:
    -> http://www.rbs6nations.com/tools/calendars/sixnations-fixtures-6n-all.ics
    from the official web site:
    -> http://www.rbs6nations.com/en/matchcentre/downloadable_fixture_list.php
    The only thing you need to know about this tournament is that it involves 6 teams (hence the name):
    - 2 on the continent, then at GMT+1 (France and Italy),
    - 4 on the British Isles (Englands, Walles, Scotland and Ireland), then at GMT+0
    I think all of these nations have the same summer / winter shifts.
    I'm on the continent, Central European Time for the time zone support feature on iCal (OS 10.9.1).
    I guess it's GMT+1 plus winter shift at the moment.
    I notice the same following problem on my iPod (iOs 5.1.1), sync through iCloud
    Here the problem : it seems all the games are in local times !
    For instance, a game in the Islands (Scotland, England, ...) appears at 5pm whereas I would like it to appear at 6pm (so the time is correctly displayed for British Isles, not for the continent) / a game on the continent (France or Italy) will appear at 5pm and I'm fine because it's right the correct time in my time zone. I've no idea how a game which takes place on the continent appears in the British Isles :-(
    So a few questions :
    - am I clear about the problem ?
    - is it a problem from iCal or from the subscription itself ?
    - in case it's iCal, is there a way to fix the trouble ?
    PS : I experienced the same problem with an other subscription a few years ago ; it was also for a european championship schedule across different time zones displayed in the same calendar. This one was discontinued.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
    This is an issue with the subscription itself. The times for the events are set in 'floating' time and whatever time zone you use it iCal will show the event as being at that time local time (which obviously won't be right unless you are in the correct time zone).
    I could post a more technical explanation if you like.
    Best wishes

  • Time Zone issues in Global Instance

    Hi,
    Can someone give best practice in addressing issues in Global instance due to change in date & time.
    Say
    1) A user is in America and system time zone is GMT
    2) Order screen: sched ship date shown based on user preference as GMT-5hrs. Say it is 30-Jun-2008 7:30 pm
    3) However, in the back end the data is stored as 1-Jul-2008 12:30 AM
    4) This certainly seems to have an impact to standard date fields.
    5) This also seems to have impact on effectivity dates which don't have timestamp. Eg, pricelist effectivity end date = 30-Jun-2008. The pricelist becomes ineffective at 7 PM EST because of system time zone being GMT.
    Any pointers to address such issues, would be of great help.
    Thanks.

    Hi,
    below is an answer from Oracle on similar issue regarding timezones:
    Oracle E-Business Suite version 11i10 or higher
    1 Oracle RDBMS 9i or higher
    2 The database must be configured to use the time zone file
    'timezlrg.dat' rather than the 'timezone.dat' file
    3 The database must be started in the standard corporate time zone
    4 Profile 'Server Timezone' (SERVER_TIMEZONE_ID) must be set at the Site
    level, and must be set to the same standard corporate time zone as the
    database
    5 Profile 'Client Timezone' (CLIENT_TIMEZONE_ID) must be set at the user
    level
    6 Profile 'Enable Timezone Conversions' (ENABLE_TIMEZONE_CONVERSIONS)
    must be set to 'Yes' ('Y') at the Site level.
    7 Profile 'Concurrent: Multiple Time Zones' (CONC_MULTI_TZ) should be
    set to 'No' (N) at the Site level
    8 Environment variable FORMS60_APPSLIBS must be set in the Forms tier
    (this has always been a requirement for 11i)
    9 Forms must be launched through the Personal Home Page or Navigate portlet

  • ICal time zone problems with 10.10

    I travel all over the world so I use multiple time zones for iCal and until Yosemite I never had any problems.  Now iCal for some reason will automatically select the time zone at the top of the list of time zones regardless of my current location.  Biggest problem is that iCloud is now storing that same info so that when I enter an event on my iPhone 5s (8.3) it does not accept the phones current location, it accepts whatever time zone is at the top of the list from iCal on my MBP.  Because the iCal on the iPhone does not allow a selection of time zones I then have to go into iCal on the MPB to change or verify what time zone the phone set.
    I never ever had any problems in the past until Yosemite.  Know I can delete my iCal plist, but that will remove "ALL" time info on everything.
    Does anyone know if there is a way to remove the time zone list without effecting current events?
    The other problem I have is that as countries around the world are changing from standard time to daylight time or the other way around.  iCal is not allowing me to set new events days, weeks or months in advance to the time zone at that time.  So that I no longer can tell if I have selected say Standard Eastern Australian Time or Daylight Eastern Australian Time ... that goes for nearly every county.

    Have the same with a German timezone. Both computers are in German time, published calendar is in US time. Looks like the calendar that you access online is using the US server time as reference.

  • How change 'home' time-zone in ical?

    Hi
    Question ... how to change 'home' time-zone in ical?
    I have just relocated countries ... to a different time zone.
    I use time-zone support in iCal and add time-zone to various tasks.
    But when i add a task and note it as my now current time-zone then ical immediately alters the diary placement to assume that i am in my old country/time-zone.
    I have altered the region in Preferences/International but this seems to have no effect, in ical at least.
    guidance welcomed
    ross

    In the very upper, right-hand corner of the iCal window is a time zone display, here you can choose to change your iCal time zone.
    If you choose "other" from the time zone display's pop-up menu, you get a dialog just like the Date and Time System Preferences.
    Why this option is not in the iCal preferences, I have no idea. To me, that would make a lot more sense!
