Multiple timezones on weblogic 10.3.6 and forms 11.1.1.6

Hi
I have installed weblogic 10.3.6 and forms 11.1.1.6. I am trying to setup different forms environments with different time zones within the same installation of forms 11.1.1.6.
I have 2 environments testau and testnz.
testnz.env has a parameter name = time_zone and value = Pacific/Auckland.
testau.env is defaulted as the server timezone is set to Australian time.
The testnz and testau environments are all the same within the forms(Australian time), how can I set the testnz to New Zealand time?

Hope all are doing well.
In my current project we using HCM PnF to create positions and copy positions. We are using the FPM interface.
One of the requirements is to for copy position and the user can create multiple copies(max upto 30) of a position.
How can this be achieved in HCM PnF?
One answer will be advanced generic service. Do we have any other way of achieving this? If not, do we have any sample code where we use advance generic service to call SAP_PD/ or any code which might be helpful?

To be honest I haven't used advanced generic service for PD before and it will be helpful if you can give me some code(may be the one inside do operations and flush). With some sample code it will be easier for me.

Weblogic 10.3.3 and Forms servers. Environments for test and developments.

Hi. I could use a little advice here.
We have a server for development and test of Oracle Forms on Weblogic 10.3.3
I have installed default configuration with a ADMIN server, an WLS_FORMS managed server (and WLS_REPORTS) in same Domain.
I wants to have two new stand-alone managed forms-server in the domain: FORMS_DEVELOP:9010 and FORMS_TEST:9011, which use forms from different homes (it redhat linux).
How do I configer this? In the Enterprise manager there is only one entry for /forms. How do I configure more managed forms servers so they point to different locations in the filesystem (/home/develop/forms and /home/test/forms ). Is i possible in same domain ?

Multiple instances of Weblogic on NT

Is is possible to run two instances of WebLogic on an NT server as
services? Specifically, I want to set up web server clustering on two
machines, but I am also going to be running another custom Weblogic
app that will access a backend database. I need to set up a separate
weblogic server for the database app outside of the clustering
weblogic webservers?

yes u can run multiple instance of the service.
There is a parameter in install.exe where you can specify the name of the
service and in this manner you can have as many services as you want

Multiple instances of weblogic pointing to same public_html

Hi,
I am using Weblogic 5.1 and have successfully set it up to start multiple instances
of weblogic from one weblogic server(each instance has its own unique port).
Currently I have multiple instances of public_html (one for each instance). Does
anyone know what I have to do to point all instances of weblogic to a common public_html?

You can have several servers under one domain. No need to create a new
domain for each server. Just configure a server and make sure they are
listening on different ports. you are all set.

Starting Multiple Versions of Weblogic

Is it possible to run multiple versions of weblogic concurrently ?
I have 8.1 and 9.2 on my server.
Whenever I login to the console in 9.2, my console in 8.1 will be logged out.
If yes, please let me know the steps to take if able.

Yes, you can use multiple versions of weblogic concurrently.
However the issue you are facing is because the browser keeps the session of the previous logged in WLS version and when you try to log in to the other version of WLS it first close the old sessions and then open the new session.
Try to use 2 different browsers say log in in WLS 9.2 using Firefox and WLS 8.1 using IE/Chrome you would notice that it would work just fine. And if you want to use only one browser then now days you have an option as "Private Browsering" in FF and Chrome which would also solve this problem.

If the hard drive that crashed is the one that stored the itunes library, be sure to restore the library from Time Machine (mac) or whatever backup you use on windows. That will get back your music. I suspect that the replacement drive has an empty itunes library and thus, perhaps, the itunes match used that to sync to its servers.
Try posting in the iTunes Match forum, you'll probably find more knowledgeable folks there.

okay I've finally been able to get tor and all the other programs to work according to my plan the only thing that's still making problems is that iptables doesn't work as I want it to, when I start chromium without proxy settings privoxy doesn't seem to forward the information to polipo.. do I need to add another rule to iptables.rules in order for the program to know it has to reroute the information again or how can I get this to work? and is there any way to run rtorrent with proxy support?
anyway, problem 2 and 3 are still to be solved.
and does anybody know where i can get a good dansguardian blacklist that was not designed for 6 year old children and for which I don't need to subscribe? I'm still getting these partypoker popups -.-

I'm quite sure there is no "automatic" way to do this. I've never heard of anyone trying it either. I suppose if you wanted try it, you could simply create a new folder in the same partition TM is on, label it for that year, then gather all the days for that year and drag/drop them into the folder. I suspect (but do not know) you'd be risking the continuity of your backups, meaning TM would simply start over again, meaning that next back up would start a new series of backups, with the first one roughly equalling the entire capacity of your internal HD, instead of adding only the new data to the previous backup. Once again, I would recommend against it, unless you're fine with TM starting a new series of backups if it doesn't work out the way you want it to. Hope you'll post back with results so we can learn from it.

Configuration problem in Weblogic 8.1.1 and 8.1.3

We have a problem when we hitting instrumented axis services in weblogic 8.1.1 and 8.1.3.
1.First we create a domain its use for only axis services.
2.We set the class path according to my project.
3.I start the server and deploy my axis services.its deploying nicely.
4.After that used my project and configure the services to getting log file purpose.
5.After instrument/configuration the service,I restart the server that time the service is redeploy and create the temporary file in .wlnotdelete directory our jar file put inside in this folder extract/myserver_calc1_calc1.This is my deploying service place.
6.But its not happening in this version of weblogic in that we redeploy the same services its works fine and getting log files.
7.when i redploy the same service that time only its working fine.
8.But i don't want to redploy the service. I want only restart time its happen that's only correct.
9.This problem is only happening in weblogic 8.1.1 and 8.1.3 its not happening in weblogic 7.5 and 8.1.4 is working fine and getting log files.
10.can any one give me a solution to rectify this problem in Weblogic 8.1.1 and 8.1.3.

I don't know about that, but I am using MyFaces and tomahawk with WLS8.1 sp5 jdk1.4.2_05 and it works fine.
I do remember getting such an error when I moved from Sun RI to MyFaces and all I can recall is that it was a commons library mismatch problem or some classpath problem...

Multiple 'logical joins' between a fact table and one dimension table

It appears that one cannot create multiple ‘logical joins’ between a fact table and one dimension table in OBIEE using the Oracle BI Administration Tool. For example, considering a Business Model with a dimension table TIMES and a fact table FACT containing START_TIME and END_TIME, we would like to create separate logical joins from FACT to TIMES for the START_TIMEs and END_TIMEs? Obviously, the underlying foreign keys can be created, but as far as I can tell the Oracle BI Administration Tool doesn’t support this. The workaround would be to replicate the TIMES table, but that’s ugly.
I seek an alternative approach.

Try this. Create an two aliases for the TIMES dimension (Start & End) in the Physical Layer and then remove foreign key to the "Parent" Times dimension. Create the Foreign Key in the Physical Layer to the new aliases and then create the complex joins in the BMM Layer to the new aliases as well. This will allow you to present both dates within the same table in the Presentation Layer. Not the most elegant solution but it works.
