Multiple Transports included in different ChaRM tickets on same objects

Hi Experts,
We have ChaRM tickets created for different business CRs, and often a same object has to be changed for different CRs. A question is that is there a way of checking if an object is included in more than one different transports under different ChaRM tickets? How can we best organise the order of the ChaRM tickets so that there will not be a collision?
Many thanks for your insights shared!

  • Linkage of different ChaRM tickets  as parent child

    Hi All,
We are planning to use Solution Manager ChaRm with the to log change requests. In some cases we have global change requests which when required to be implemented  -  we need to create regional / country specific change requests.
Now the condition is the Global change request should be connected to the regional / country specific change requests and Global change request should get closed only when all the childu2019s have got closed. One of the probable solution to have the reference between the parent and child requests is u2013 maintaining the global change request number maintained in External reference number.
Just want to know if there is any better solution. Thanks a lot for all your time.
    Best regards,
    vithal

we need multiple change requests as the implementation of the changes getting carried out using these change requests will happen at different times. Fro example. on 31st March ofr India, on 31st dec for Swiss and like this.. So there is business case for this...

  • How to back up multiple iphones/ipads with different icloud accounts but same apple id

I would like to back up 3 idevices each with different icloud accounts to itunes. But they use the same apple id so that itune purchases can be installed on each device (2 iphones and 1 ipad).
All I want to do is create a backup in case the phones need to be restored. I also want to back up before downloading iOS 8.
The Macbook Pro that I will back up to has one user and one itunes library.
Is this possible without mixing up address books and contacts etc? Appreciate if some one could direct me to detail step-by-step instructions if they exist or please tell me how I can do this.
    Thanks.

With Family Sharing they don't need to have the same Apple ID anymore.
But backups to iTunes are kept separate among multiple devices; Apple ID and iCloud isn't involved at all. Just make sure the devices do not have the same name.

  • Will iCloud enable new iTunes purchases to be automatically downloaded to multiple iTunes libraries under different logins on the SAME iMac?

So I have a customer with one iMac and a user login on that iMac for each member of the family.  Under each user login, iTunes is configured with the same Apple ID so any purchases are made on the one account.  What they want is that no matter who purchases iTunes content from the iTunes Store, it appears in ALL their iTunes libraries.  If I configure iCloud with the SAME Apple ID under each login, and tick the 3 "Automatically Download New Purchases" boxes in iTunes under each login, then will new purchases be automatically downloaded to every library when the library owner logs in?  Or does iCloud only enable this functionlity based on a hardware ID, ie it will only work once per machine rather than once per user login?
There must be a simple yes/no answer to this, but it's a fair bit of work to set up a test rig so I'm hoping somebody already knows!
    Thanks in advance.

    Hello campin,
Congrats on your now MacBook Pro and welcome to the Apple family!
So, I'm just going to address each question directly.
    1) Short answer: yes. The article "iTunes 11 for Mac: Download previous purchases from the iTunes Store" goes over the process of downloading all of your previously purchased content.
    2) When you plug in your device you should see that iTune will allow you to configure the syncing options for each type of content. See "iOS: How to transfer or sync content to your computer" for more info.
    3) Automatic downloads is something that you can disable, but is enabled by default. This is also something that be different for Music and Apps. See "iTunes Store: How to enable Automatic Downloads"
It's a lot of information, but that should help you out and enjoy your new MacBook Pro!

I am really surprise that the stat for good sql are little old. I just computed the states of bad sql so they are uptodate..
There is something terribly wrong..Not necessarily. Just using the default stats collection I've seen a few cases of things suddenly going wrong. As the data increases, it gets closer to an edge case where the inadequacy of the statistics convinces the optimizer to do a wrong plan. To fix, I could just go into dbconsole, set the stats back to a time when they worked, and locked them. In most cases it's definitely better to figure out what is really going on, though, to give the optimizer better information to work with. Aside from the value of learning how to do it, for some cases it's not so simple. Also, many think the default settings of the database statistic collection may be wrong in general (in 10.2.x, at least). So much depends on your application and data that you can't make too many generalizations. You have to look at the evidence and figure it out. There is still a steep learning curve for the tools to look at the evidence. People are here to help with that.
Most of the time it works better than a dumb rule based optimizer, but at the cost of a few situations where people are smarter than computers. It's taken a lot of years to get to this point.

Just to clarify, I can drag duplicates to an album but it only appears once - so it's not actually adding to the album. The question, as I understand it, is that PSE doesn't warn you whereas it use to in PSE 3..
    Ok, that clear now.
If I remember correctly, the format of the database for PSE was changed around version 4. So the error message that Beachcomber was seeing may have been generated by the old database system.
Version 4 used Microsoft Access as the database engine, not sure about version 5. Anyway I am sure that from version 6, the sqlite database engine was used.

  • Different change request about the same object

    Hi Gurus,
I have some doubts about CR (change request) from one system to another, such as from development system to quality or quality to production.
If I have 2 or more CUSTOMIZING CR about the same object Can I say that they are however identical (they contain the same information)?
For example on the customizing table:
record1 contains value 'A' --> CR number 1 is opened
record1 contains value 'B' --> CR number 2 is opened
If now I transport CR number 1 I transport value 'B'.
And the same if I transport CR number 2.
Is it correct? Both CR points to the actual value of the record?
Instead if I have 2 or more WORKBENCH CR I know they "remember" the history of the modifications:
For example on a program with only 1 istruction:
    data: x.
    --> CR number 1
    data: x,y.
    --> CR number 2
What happen If I transport the 2 CR simultaneously (selecting both from STMS) ?
What will be the result in quality/production system? Which CR "wins"?
    Thanks in advance
    Guido

At time of release from DEV, the current object version or table content is written into the transport data file, thus "detached" from further changes in DEV.
Now if two transport requests 1 and 2 contain the same object in two versions (older and newer) and are being imported into QA, the following scenarios are possible:
    - 1 is imported first, then 2: newer version will be in QA -> OK
    - 2 is imported first, then 1: older version will be in QA -> not OK
    - both are imported at same time: newer version will be in QA -> OK (STMS checks when the requests were added to the import queue and sorts accordingly)

  • CHaRM-Is that possible to create multiple Transport Request in UC

    HI Gurus,
Quick question on ur.gent correction using Solution Manager CHaRM in EHP1. Is it possible to create multiple transport request(TR) for single ur.gent correction (UC). DO NOT confuse with transport task.
For example, after I created transport request and developer start working and release the task, realised to add another transport request for same UC. When I tried, it did not create any TR but checked the message found that
    Schedule Manager: Monitor
Job Status: Processing completed, but with warnings
    Program Name: /TMWFLOW/SCMA_TRORDER_CREATE
Action to be checked: Ur.gent Correction: Create Transport Request
There is already an open request, XXXXXXXXXX, for this project
So only way I can do that I released the TR and able to create another TR.
May be wondering why I need to create another TR, why not create TASK and work on that.
But this is the requirement at our company.
I will appreciate the effort and time to provide me the solution of this.
    Thanks
    Ava

    Hi Ragu,
That's really quick turn around. Unfortunately not able to found whatever you mentioned in your message. Here is detail,
I navigate to Actions - Depending on Status, found the entry as

    SDHF             SDHFHEAD   E0002            20       CREATE_REQ
    SDHF             SDHFHEAD   E0002            30       SAVE_PARTNER
SDHF             SDHFHEAD   E0002            40       SET BO LINKS
    Where SDHF - Ur.gent Correction
               E0002 - In Development
CREATE_HF -        Create an Instance in SAP Change Manager
CREATE_REQ -     Create Transport Request with Task
SAVE_PARTNER - Save Partners in Respective Partner Roles
SET BO LINKS -     Sets Links to Business Objects
    I don't see any OPEN_TR.
Any other place need to make change.
    Thanks

  • Multiple Transports for the Same Object.

I have ABAP program 123 and I make a change, create transport A and release the transport. I do not request transport A go to production.
I then modify ABAP program 123 again, create transport B and release the transport. I do not request transport B go to production.
Now I request transport A go to production.
Can someone explain to me why the changes in transport B are included when transport A is moved to production?
I thought each transport would be at its own change level.
    Thank-you.

I can guarantee all of you that when Transport A was moved, it contained changes that were made in Transport B.
Surely you understand that Thomas is correct and that there's a logical reason, not related to transport layer configuration, for the issue?   You CAN have multiple transports open for the same object without a lock by forcing it but check the dates as already suggested...

  • Migrating Transports via CHaRM to the same system more than once

    Good Day;
Does anyone know if CHaRM has the capabilities to migrate transports (within a maintenance cycle) to the same system multiple times?
    Let me explain.
    When we move a maintenance cycle (release) through our landscape we move from;
Development system - Quality system - Volume system. Then to production
UAT is being done in both the quality system and the volume system.
Once all testing is complete, we refresh the volume system with a fresh copy of the production system and re-import all the transports. This is to allow our BASIS team to do regression (batch) and load testing.
Is there a way to use CHaRM to migrate the transports or is this something that needs to be done manually (as it is today).
    Thanks All,

  • Transport - Generation of the users of the transported Includes.

Hello.  This isn't iSeries specific, but I posted it in the Netweaver Administration forums and got no response.  I know this group is quite responsive, so I thought I would try my luck here.  Thank you.
When importing a transport, there's a step during "generation of programs and screens" called: Generation of the users of the transported Includes.
Can someone tell me how the list of objects for 'Generation of the users of the transported Includes" is determined?
I'm practicing our upgrade in our test system and I've run a transport twice with very different results, from a timing perspective. I ran it once last week when doing the upgrade post steps. We deleted the system, started another practice run, and I ran the transport again today.
The first time the transport took 18 minutes to import. Today it took 2 hours. The load on the server was comparable both times. The difference I noticed was that the number of objects during phase: Generation of the users of the transported Includes was much greater this time - about 3000 more.
This is a big transport, all of our SPAU resolution, but I don't know why there would be an extra 3000 things to generate this time through.
If someone could explain this to me, I would appreciate.

    Hi TJ,
at least SAP tries to generate the dependent objects. This is known, to not work really properly, but at least it is the idea. Might it be possible, that the system you were putting this transport in, had not generated most of the loads ? Then I could imagine, that it creates a lot more generation ...
Did you check, that the major difference was in the generation phase ?
I'm sure, that if you had a "good generated system" before, it will be faster again ...

  • Multiple transports in Code Inspector object set

I'd like to be able to put a Code Inspector object set together with multiple transports and my current version (46c)only supports a single input.  Anyone know how to input multiple transports?
    Tim Barrow

    Tim,
Even the current version (7.0) supports just one transport request. Looks like that is ruled out, then.
You could use the first tab (Select object set) to include multiple packages? Or you could use the 'free selection' to specify objects..
    Hope this helps.
