Multiple UoM in MM configuration

Issue: Need to know the setup an possibility of receiving a Material by the Box but then Issuing Material in MIGO by the piece (EA) using same Material #.
Curious to the following:
Have a material in MM that we receive in a box of 80.
Can we use the same material number to do a GI by EA?
I have tried to configure this in MM using the Units of measure tab in additional data (see screenshot) but when i go to do the GI in MIGO for "1 ea" it's showing there is a deficit. Please advise what I'm missing in my setup.

1 box = 80 EA
And even then you may get in trouble because of rounding issues, the smallest unit should be the stock keeping unit (base unit). There is even a warning message when you enter smaller units in material masters alternative units .
1 / 80 = 0,0125 but the quantity field can only take 3 decimals, hence you actually issue 0,013
And if you do this 80 times, then you actually issued 1.04 boxes.

Replenishment in SAP Retail - Article with multiple UOM/EAN

Dear all,
I am using SAP Retail. I have an article with multiple unit of measurement as well as multiple EAN. A good example of this article will be canned soft drinks. It comes in pack size of each, 6, 12, 24. I have only one article number for this soft drink but I maintained multiple UOM and EAN for this article.
When I run auto-replenishment, I can only run it based on one of the packed size (fixed it as the default ordering unit).
Is it possible to run auto-replenishment for the various packed size?

Hi,
One suggestion. You can buy it in UOM bottle, minimum qty: 6 bottle. Multiples: Your vendor that decide the package size. When you do the GR then set the UOM of the size package, set a lot size calculation (each 6 units) or rounding profile.

Multiple UoM for one Material

For material 100, in UoM tab if multiple UoM are maintained then how do i load the same to BI. Is there specific DataSource available for it?

Let me explain you the scenario :
Suppose Mat A will have UoM as 1 PAL = 3 EA and Mat B will have 1 PAL = 12 EA. Now suppose for a particular transaction record for a given bill number and bill item i have Mat A Quantity 3 PAL and for another Bill no and item i have mat B Quantity 2 PAL.
And say in query i want to show all Quantities in EA then how do i make sure that for Mat A it will show 33 = 9 EA and for Mat B 122 = 24 EA.
Please help for this ASAP.

Multiple UOM

Hi Gurus
I have material in SRM which has multiple UOM seen in t.code COMMPR01(under tab "material') but while I am trying to create the SC using option "internal goods/services" system defaults the basic UOM(which is grayed out) and doesnt give the option to change the "UOM".
We are on SRM5.0 ECS.
Please suggest what has to be done if I need to use a UOM from list of "other unit of measure" which is different from base unit of measure.

In SRM 5.0 , in shopping cart once you choose material in "Internal Goods and Service" , on the same line item you get a drop down where you can choose UOM like EA, PER etc.
This is the standard functionality. if some custom code is written which is causing issue here then you need to check in the code.

Multiple UOM Problem In sales Document

Plz Tell me how i manage the multiple uom in SAP Sales Doc.
For Example - Inventory Uom = KGS
Sales Uom = NOS
An user wants to book the order in pound..
plz give me solution..

You can only have 2 UOM to use for sales document. In your case, apply most used UOM for your sales UOM. I assume it is NOS. For the less used sales UOM such as lb, you may create UDF to print out document. However, the inventory keeping will be a big problem in this case.
If your sales has equaly weighted 2 or more UOM to use, you have to consider add-on or SDK.
The other work around would be creating additional item to get the right quatities through BOM to sell. Sales BOM item will only keep track of inventory on component level.

Assignment of same ISO code to multiple UoM can be done, but the primary code checkbox must be ticked only for one, else would cause conflict for EDI.
The SAP help reads as below:
An ISO code can be assigned to several internal measurement units.
Use
The ISO code is important for EDI. It is used to convert the internal SAP
measurement units into standard measurement units. Data exchange
via EDI requires internal measurement units to be converted into standard
measurement units.

Packaging types in Multiple UOM

I am using the sap b1 9.0 in which multiple UOM for an item has been defined and when I am entering the qty per packaging under purchase tab, I am not able to enter decimal value (for eg: 10.8). it is automatically rounded off to 10. how can I set decimal values in it: pls note when we are using multiple UOM

How do I set up multiple users with different configurations

I have a Mac Pro that is shared by multiple users. Some edit using Avid Media Composer 6.0, and some edit using Final Cut Pro 7. Our client monitor is connected using a Matrox MX02 Mini. When I install the latest drivers for the Matrox MX02, I can use the client monitor with Media Composer, but not Final Cut Pro 7. When I back-rev the drivers to support Final Cut Pro 7, I can't use the MX02 in Media Composer.
Is there a way to set up two users -- one for Avid editing and one for Final Cut editing -- that will each load different sets of drivers?

Not in one boot system. The only way I can think of doing what you want is to dual-boot - ie, either partition a single drive with two volumes, one for each configuration, or, if you can, use separate physical drives. The Matrox drivers are loaded at the system level, not the user level.
If you have a spare drive, you would just clone your system across using Carbon Copy Cloner / SuperDuper, then boot to the second system and adjust the drivers as necessary.

How to create multiple schedule lines for configurable products

We have enabled variant configuration and would like to have multiple scheudule lines created , but it seems that only one line is avaialble, is there any way to configure the use of multiple schedule lines?
Note - we are not using KMAT material types, rather triggering a unique kit compoments within Sales BOM.
We have been able to make the necessary adjustments to allow the creation of the Scheduling agreement and have the BOM explode correctly, but just am not able to trigger multiple sched lines.

Your context node shall contain all these fields like country,city,etc as different attributes.so in your view configuration,add all these fields whatever you require from the AVAILABLE FIELDS section to the DISPLAYED FIELDS section.NOw all these attributes would be added in diff rows.What you need to do is,select the first attribute,lets say COUNTRY,click on this attribute and then on the buttn SHOW FIELD PROPERTIES.Thsi will show you the label name etc.Here you change the label name to NATIONALITY.Also ,it will show you the row no,cloumn span of the field and column span of the label.You need to reduce the column span of the field value.Ie if the column span is from D TO H,reduce it from D TO F.Now goto the next attribute eg CITY and in the same way,goto the attribute properties.Here ,There is a check box SHOW LABEL,uncheck this,and now goto the row no and the cloumn span.Make the row no same as that of the COUNTRY FIELD.The column span should howevrbe statring from where the column span of country field ended.Ie Teh column apsn of counrty field ended at F .So for CITY,the column span should start from G to amybe H.Now this is how you need to accomodate the other fields also in the same row,by changing the row no and column span in the field properties.

Can multiple Powershell v4 DSC configuration objects be combined on a machine?

I'm working on configuring servers using Powershell Desired State Configuration (DSC). I have several different groups of IIS servers. The configuration for all of them is about 90% identical, but there are differences between the groups.
In order to follow good programming practices and re-use the common code, I attempted to use multiple configuration objects to configure the groups. There was one configuration object full of common configuration, and then each group had a configuration
object with group specific config. It looked something like this:

To fully configure a server in my first group of IIS servers, I would need to use both these configuration objects by running them like this:

DSCConfiguration runs twice and starts two Powershell jobs, both of which seem to complete. But there is a problem, and I'm wondering if it is at all solvable.
Problem:
When I try to use other DSC cmdlets to control my server's configuration, such as Restore-DCSConfiguration or Get-DSCConfiguration, it only seems to work on what ever configuration object ran last. For example, Get-DSCConfiguration returns only the IISGroup1Configuration,
because that ran last. I've tried playing around with order, and whichever configuration I run last is what is returned. Similarly, if I were to try to keep my configuration enforced with restore-configuration, it's only going to work on IISGroup1Configuration,
because it ran last. This is an example of what I ran that returned only one of the configuration objects.
Get-DscConfiguration -CimSession "IISServer1"
The behavior I want is for the server to treat ever configuration block run on it as its configuration and return all of them. But since it doesn't, does this mean I have to have everything needed to configure a server in a single configuration block? For
example, if I wanted to use DSC to configure two groups of IIS servers, would I have to have the following?

#---Common configuration, 90% the same---

If this is how I have to do things, and a node can have only one configuration block be its "configuration", then this is absolutely terrible from a code reuse perspective. If I have six groups of servers, and I want to edit some shared code, I'm
going to have to go into six groups of configuration objects and edit the same line six times. That leads to errors and makes a mess. Is there any way to avoid this, while have the server consider all configuration objects run against it to be part of
its configuration?

Multiple UOM's

We have an article which is sold in each but when we sell a box it is actually of 12 eaches (when a multiple quantity of such an item is sold we sell it as one item only(1box=1box(base unit in this case)) but we do not mention about eaches). Hence we have set up two articles in our systems with different units of measure. But we want to link the two articles somehow so that we will know that 1 box is 12 eaches.

You don't need multiple articles for this. It is possible to use multiple units of meassurement in one article and you can also have a sales price for each UOM/article combination. So in your case you would take each as base UOM and the box as an additional one.
Usually you have also at least one UPC/PLU for such a UOM/article combination.
In your stock reporting everything would be broken down on 'EACH'.
Alternatively you could also implement the box as a sales set of eaches. In this case a BOM is linked to the box, the box would be an own article and and the eaches would be components of this BOM.
However I would recommend to use a UOM of the same article.

Normally you cannot use a Button or a Click Box inside a Slidelet. So I'm doubtful you will be able to accomplish this. At least using a Slidelet. Perhaps you could re-think it and create the illusion of a popup window by layering in a Highlight Box or Image object to serve as the background, then presenting the Image and Caption using Advanced or Multiple actions.

When syncing multiple iPhones iTunes resets configured contacts

We have 3 iPhones (2 3GS, 1 3G) that sync with iTunes on one computer using the same iTunes account. Every once in a while, after one iPhone syncs the next iPhone to sync gets the contacts from the first iPhone. So my wife and daughter both sync contacts with separate Yahoo address books. When my daughter synced her iPhone last night, iTunes synced with my wife's address book. My daughter lost all of her contacts. We got them all restored from the backup so we were able to recover. When we later looked at the contacts configuration, iTunes was using my wife's address book with my daughter's iPhone. Is this a bug in iTunes?

Your best option is to set up multiple user accounts, one for each member of the family, and enable Fast User Switching to avoid this.
The iPhone will sync with only one Address Book hence the reason you keep overwriting each others' data.

ERPI Multiple Source EBS instance configurations

Hi Experts,
I have configured EBS R12 instance with FDM application using the ERPI. Now I want to configure one more EBS R112 instance as source in ERPI. Can you please tell that can I use the same ODI instance for that or I need to install the new ODI Home and need to run multiple agents or I can re-use the existing ODI. Please advise/suggest the best method to do this task. Any steps or document would be really helpful.

Unfortunately the question you are asking revolves a lot around design ... and considerations need to be made based on your design implementation. For that it might be best to engage a qualified consultant .... but to answer your questions:
1. Yes you can use the same ODI instance.
2. No you do not need to run multiple agents.
Unfortunately there are no documented steps/procedures because all the information would have to be reconfigured inside of ODI ... and requires indepth ODI knowledge. Please keep in mind you posted your question to the FDM forum ... not the ODI forums.
But to try and offer some light:
ERPi talks to the 'Agent' specified in the Source System definition ... which passes to ODI a specific Context. Within that context you have defined logical and physical connections. You will just need to make sure that the context you define for this new source system has all the appropriate connections.
