MULTIPLE USB SOUND BLASTER in ONE SYS

Hi there
I have a project that I should use 2 till 4 USB sound blaster for input data and store it .
I have bought 4 Audigy USB , for this Sound blaster Windows can not load driver for more than card and for the rest make an error and makes them disable and even when I have used MP3 sound blaster and one Audigy ,,, again no chance ...
but with a cheap sound blaster from Teratec that it used generall windows USB sound Device driver it works up two 4 parallel sound blaster atached to 4 diffrent USB port .
( really it is a GREAT SHAME FOR CRAETIVE :smileysurprised: that could not deli'ver or made it disable )
as it is very important to use 24 bit high quality sound same as Audigy , still I am looking for solution to have 4 parallel Audigy sound card in one SYSTEM ,,,,,,
ANY TIP to save my project (and my life )?

I?m having the EXACT SAME problem. I thought it was something isolated, but apparently it isn't.
Sound just "pops" and "shutdowns" at an irregular interval of time, which is extremely annoying. I've noticed that it depends highly on the usage I'm giving the PC at the moment. When it's jsut sitting there plkaying music, it rarely happens. But if I'm browsing the web, with sites heavy on images or working on several tabs at the same time, it turns into a 0 second thing, making music almost unbareable... installing ANYTHING at the same time kills anything, 2-3 second pops and fades.
Before you even suggest it, I have a rather high end PC, phenom II 4 cored PC with 4GBs of RAM and a Caviar Black Hard dri've, so it's NOT that the PC can't handle the load. Its jsut browsing with music in the background... with half decent drivers, a 5 year old Celeron PC should be able to handle that...
I've read those troubleshooting guides over and over, and it's amazing how they suggest to shutdown/disable numerous things tha twill kill performmance in other areas, so we can have a functional audio solution. The only suggestion that makes a lot of sense is IRQ sharing with components, such as video cards/SATA dri'ves. I haven't checked/tried that, because unfortunately I'm not quite sure how/where to change the IRQ values... any help there?

  • Multiple Creative sound devices in one system

-Multiple Creative sound devices in one systemrHello community, I recently tried to get two X-Fi Titanium PCI-Express cards to work in one computer. One card worked well. As soon as i plugged in the second card and booted the system, i got a quite reliable bluescreen SYSTEM_EXIT_OWNED_MUTEX, which indicates improper handling of shared ressources by the driver. I performed extensi've testing on two different machines with both Windows 7 64-Bit and Windows XP 32, freshly installed and patched, latest drivers, no other software or sound hardware present, but the problem persisted. I contacted support an was told that a such a combination is neither tested nor supported by Creative. So now I am stuck with two expensi've cards, that don't work together. Is there any information from Creative which devices will work flawlessly together if combined? For example the X-Fi Go!. It's USB. How many of those will work together in one system? (if more than ) Can I plug in a Soundblaster Play USB device simultaniously? Does Creative test for things like these? And why ist there a "Select Audio Device" option in the Creative Console application if multiple cards don't work?

    Hi Suresh
Generally it is not possible to activate two industry solution in
switch framework .(transaction SFW5) ..But we can make the activation
of industry solution as client dependent and client independent . if we
make it as client dependent then we can activate different industry solution
    for each client
To know whether the activation is client dependent or client
independent you need to check table SFWPARAM for any entries. If it
does not have any entry then its client independent (repository changes)
It affects all the clients. Please make entry in table SFWPARAM
    and try !
    I hope this information helps

  • Chosing the right USB Sound Blaster C

Hi all,?I have a simple question for anyone who cares to respond. I have purchased Adobe Captivate 2 (formerly Robodemo). I want to add an audio narrati've to my Cap projects. Turns out that Captivate is not compatible with the Realtek sound card that came with my Vaio laptop. As you know, it's a pain to upgrade the sound card on a laptop since everything is embedded in the motherboard. So, I'm going with an external USB sound card.
I won't be doing any high-end game stuff, so I don't need the fastest card in town. Can anyone suggest the best USB Sound Blaster card for my purposes? Thanks,?Guy

Jo kinda covered this but just one thing to keep in mind...
Check what version of USB the card needs and also what version your motherboard supports. If you need say USB2.0 to get full use of a card, and you mobo only supports .0 or . you could just get a PCI card to add some new ones Here's an example:
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E68506007
As far as external vs internal... I've heard people say you get better quality from external because you don't have as much electrical interference or something, but I have never had a problem with the sound from internal. I currently own both a SB-Li've!24bit and an Audigy2ZS Plat. (Li've! is in a box now in case I need it for an emergency)

  • Constant crackle with USB Sound Blaster 5.1. I'll reward you with cookies if you help

    Hey guys,
I got the external USB Sound Blaster X-Fi 5. Surround sound card for Christmas, and I've heard a constant, uninterrupted crackle/popping sound since I've installed it. It's incredibly aggravating. I ran through the FAQ, but most of it wasn't applicable because this isn't an internal sound card.
I'm running Windows 7 with 4 gigs of RAM. I can provide other specs if necessary. I'm about to return this card if I can't figure out the problem, so any help provided would be most appreciated. Thanks!

I am curious to learn, what kind of processor do you use?
I use the same product but I have, afaik, not noticed any crackling or popping, certainly nothing constant.
If you use Winamp, the following tips might not help, but at least I get to mention it. In the preferences, under plug-ins and under Output, one can in the device tab change the eh uh device.
Mine was set to primary sound driver, and I set it to "02 Speaker (Sound Blaster X-Fi Surround 5. Pro", though I do not think it make any difference. Edit: I see now that there is a message here saying "FAQ 0 "primary sound driver" refers to preferred sound device selected in windows control panel".
Someone mentioned that one could try checking the "create primary buffer" in that same tab.
In the next tab called "Buffering", there is the option to "enable cpu usage control". Not sure what good that is for.
Edit2: If you use Winamp, you might want to try out this DSP plugin "enhancer", only works with win7 with this guys work on it (old plugin allegedly unsupported):

  • USB Sound Blaster MP3+ and Vi

My USB Sound Blaster MP3+ performs fantastically using the nati've drivers on Win2K and WinXP.
On Vista, however, there is a chirpy/buzzy distortion piggybacking on any signal passed through the A-to-D (line in, specifically). I've tried two different Vista PC, different powered USB hubs, and with and without the Creative USB Series Windows Vista Driver .0.0002 to no benefit.
I'm an engineer and a programmer, but not a Windows programmer. Can somebody tell me why this nearly generic USB Audio interface doesn't work with Vista I have other USB Audio devices that work fine with the nati've drivers on Vista.

Is there anyone with experience with this sound card, recording and Vista?

  • XP Drivers For USB Sound Blaster 0490

% After searching this site for hours, I can't find XP drivers for my USB Sound Blaster 0490. Any ideas? Or do Creative not support legacy hardware. Or could they just do with a search section to find drivers on their site.
    Kind regards,
    Hemlock

    Hi Hemlock,
Are you talking about this driver if you are running 64bit.
Edit: I am not sure if you are running Win XP 32 or 64 bit so I included both.

  • USB Sound Blaster C

I bought a new Creative Labs USB Sound Card 24 bit i believe. When i test for voice recording on mic I can playback and hear recording. When try to play music over the microphone and to see if it works I get no music on the recording. I did the hardware test on the new sound card and i'm getting any mic or music. The thing is the mic records just fine just not the music. When i use the mic during the test the volume bar does not move at all like t should. I have wave out checked in my volume options. This worked with my old card. Isn't there supposed to be a what U hear option for sound blaster cards or does the usb sound card not have this on it's I have all of the defaults set to use soundblaster for recording and playback.

Jo kinda covered this but just one thing to keep in mind...

  • Problems With Sound Blaster Audigy: New Sys

I just received my new computer from Dell:
    Pentium D 3.0ghz
    Geforce 7800 GTX 256mb
    2 GIGs ram
    Windows Xp Prof x64
    SoundBlaster Audigy
My problem occurs in my game called Nascar Racing 2003 Season. The sounds play fine, however when It comes time to load more 3dimensional sounds (like cockpit), the sounds turn into a high pitched buzz, and then freezes my computer so that not even ctl-alt-del works. Sometimes this happens when exiting the game as well, and my system does a complete memory dump and then shows this file: ctoss2k.sys..
I've reinstalled the drivers, the game, and I'm out of ideas. I don't have any other games to test this one, but I've run the Dell diagnostics and run the dxdiag for the sound and it passed with flying colors. If nothing can be done here my next idea is getting on the phone with Dell and having them fix my new computer!
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
P.S. On my last computer I had Sound Blaster Li've! and that worked perfectlyMessage Edited by mciarlo on -0-2005 04:05 AM

Noticed your setup (XP PRO 64)
Correct me if Im wrong but I dont think there are drivers for 64bit yet Right?

  • USB Sound Blaster MP3+ questi

I just got this card, and am not super computer literate when it comes to this, but I have a program that I can copy from cassette tape, remove pops, cracks etc from tape recordings or vinal recordings and I am sure that this card & program should be able to do the same thing, but I can't figure out how to do it. There are too many different things to look at and it does not seem real user friendly. I have used the sound blaster to copy the cassettes and to switch between WAV & MP3 files, but had to go to my Polderbits software to be able to make the files sound better. Any suggestions?

Is there anyone with experience with this sound card, recording and Vista?

  • USB Sound Blaster Live! 24-bit external: how do you get 5.1 surround from movi

I just purchased a Li've 24 external. Neither Cyberlink PowerDVD nor Windows Media Player seem to have an option to enable sending the digital audio stream straight out of the SP/DIF (optical digital output) of the SB Li've 24.
    It's always just a 96khz stereo stream.
How do I get surround sound out to my receiver?
    Thanks.
Also, I'm getting intermittent "pops" in all sound (DVD, Winamp, etc). I'd appreciate any ideas on how to fix that.

I had one of these for Christmas, but cannot get it to function! It is for converting vynil records to CD,'.Anyone any ideas?
