When people look for me via email addrss why is there 3 user accounts ? My wife thinks I using them for dodgy chats...
How can I delete the ones not used ?

Multiple users/computers and email

Hi folks,
At home I've been using BT Broadband and an iMac for 4-5 years. Three user accounts each with own email address. Just got a new iMac and have run the standard Apple "migration" from the old to the new machine. Seems to have worked ok - most of it.
But I want to keep the older machine so we're not always tripping over each other to do this, that or the other. I'm running wireless. Same user names, passwords, etc on both machines. But Apple "Mail" and/or "BT Broadband/Homehub" is only picking up new mail on the older machine.
I can't find definitive guidance on setting up identical mail on both machines. I've found very brief reference to ".... router capable of sharing the connection, also known as network address translation (NAT) or 'IP masquerading' " or using Apple's "MobileMe". But not anything practical, helpful or solution oriented!!!! Maybe I'm barking up the wrong tree. Has anyone got a simple answer or a point in the right direction?

You need to have the accounts active only on the machine you want to receive the mail. If you have all the accounts active on the old machine, that machine will collect the mail and delete it from the BT server.
1 You need to delete the accounts from the old machine which you no longer need to use on that machine (you can transfer the messages to the new machine if you wish).
2 Then make sure the accounts on the new machine which you wish to use there are active.
There are no issues with using multiple machines on the same router. I do that here. If you can browse on both machines you have the connection, so the rest is just a setup issue.
You may need to manually re-set the Mail set up on the new machine as the Apple "migration does not always get this 100% with passwords, etc.

Stupid question from a Mac newbie: multiple users for webbased email

This problem has infuriated me over the last 4 hours---likely a keychain/cookie issue--- but help has been hard to find. New computer Latest OS X.
I use safari (or firefox) to log into a web based email account (happens to be an exchange server). initial screen comes up. Click on 'log in'. Up pops a username/password screen. Type in user name, password, don't click on "save password", get into my email account--- no problem. Check email, happy.
My wife, wants to log into her account.
I quit safari or firefox. She clicks on the icon. initial screen comes up. Click on 'log in' and up comes MY EMAIL. She did not log on.
Not sure what to do. Want to set up the web-based email to not automatically log someone into another persons' email as I want to use this computer basically as one account, with multiple people logging into muliple web based email.
Can this be done easily?

Just to be devils advocate, mind if I ask how you quit the applications? If you just closed the window by clicking the red circle at the top left corner, then both Safari and Firefox would still be running with your login session details still active.
Try pressing command+q to really quit the application (or click and hold the Dock icon and select Quit). Alternatively, select 'Logout' (or the equivalent option) on your web email account to close your active session.

Two user names same email, forgotten password link...

Today I signed up and created an account. I realized only after signing up that I had previously created an account (w/same email). I am trying to get the lost password to my original account /user name, however, after multiple attempts requesting "forgotten password" the reset password keeps linking to today's account. How do I resold this and utilize my original (old user name)?

2. Authorizations for your workflow user id
3. Any number ranges which need to be configured.

Help! Cant log in to BB App World -changed email and now asking for original user name associated email

I have changed my BB app world email as I cant access that original email anymore, so changed email address, i registered it online in the bb website, when i go to update apps i try and log in to the appworld with my new email it says 'enter user name associated with this smartphone', and just canot log in...PLEASE HELP

Hi @elc088! Welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community Forums!
If you're referring to BlackBerry ID, then you need to perform a Security Wipe before you can login using your new credentials. Make sure you have a backup because this will delete all of your data.

Managing Users - Editing a User Name and Email?

Hello!
I have absolutely no experience using the Windows Small Business Server 2003. Our IT person showed me how to add Users and this is bascially the only task I perform with regard to the server.
I recently added a new User and accidentally misspelled his name. I went back in and edited the User file to correct the name and I was able to send a test email to him and receive a response from him - however, the response came in with the sender's
name still misspelled. I went back in to the User file and found that the alias still showed the misspelled name. I corrected the error there but now the User is not able to send or receive email.
To to clarify:
1. I entered the User name incorrectly - I typed the name ending in "ki" instead of "ik".
2. Went back in to the User file and changed the name and email address to reflect the correct spelling - [email protected]
3. Sent test email to User (ik at company dot com) and received a response from User but the response listed the sender as: "Employee Ki" - instead of "Employee Ik".
4. Discovered that alias was still showing "ki" - changed alias to correct spelling.
5. User is not able to send or receive email.
My questions are:
A. Did I do the right thing by simply trying to edit the file to correct the mistake? Or should I have deleted the User and started over?
B. If it is acceptable to simply edit the file, is there some other step I am missing or that still needs to be performed so the User can receive email?

I did go through and make the correction in every tab. (That was actually how I found out that I had missed the "alias").
This employee is mostly out in the field and will be sending and receiving email from his phone or ipad. He was able to send and receive email before I corrrected the "alias" - would changing this cause him to lose the ability to send and receive
email?
Also he left me a note that he is not able to log in under the company acount. When he attempts to log in, he is asked for the "exchange account".
I suspect that this may be more involved than just correcting the misspelling. I appreciate any assistance you may be able to provide.

Changing user name on email account on blackberry curve

Hi, new to this so excuse me if i'm being a bit dumb.
My ISP has moved my email account to an imap server. The email now has a different username and password, although still the same email address. the emails are now not coming through to my blackberry curve 9300. I've tried to change the user name (in settings, email, login info) but it won't let me edit the field. Should i delete the whole account and start again? They are coming through on my 02email address but that's not very useful to me.

Mail and Multiple User Accounts and Email Accounts

Hi there I want to be able to have two seperate pop email accounts, one for each of the two user accounts on my Mac mini but what is actually happening is that the primary mail account opens up within both user accounts and if you email the secondary account it arrives at the inbox for the primary one. The two pop accounts have the same ISP (NTL) and incoming mail server but different user names. I'd be very grateful for any suggested solutions!

When you check Mail preferences and select accounts, you should show only one account for each user. If two accounts show for both, the upper account is considered the primary, but all mail from all listed accounts will be available.
If you show two accounts, delete the account not belonging to the logged in person.

Yes, look in the admin guide for the shared folders section. This in essence allows you to delegate permissions of individual mail folders to other users.
The functionality is being enhanced for iMS 5.2 due out shortly according to iPlanet.

HT1430 I can no longer access my gmail account on any of my apple products. I get an error message saying my user name or email address is incorrect.

You can not merge accounts.
Apps are tied to the Apple ID used to download them, you can not transfer them.

User name in Email Settings

Dear Sir/Madam,
Just got blackberry 8300 and activated blackberry service today with du in UAE. I did not create any user name or password in email settings. However, whenever I enter Email settings screen, it states 'Existing Users' and prompts me to enter username and password.
How can I retrieve my user name or even do a reset on the device? Please provide complete guidance so that I can resolve the matter.

You bought the device used or remanufactured and the previous use never removed the PIN of that device from his or her account.
The seller will need to call his or her carrier and ask that the PIN be removed-- you can call, but they don't have to do it for you, so be nice in asking. Just simply explain that you bought the device used and need the PIN to be used on your account now.

ABAP Email Sending Program: Change Display user name in email

Hi All,
I have developed an email sending program using function module SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_ATT_SEND_API1. It is working fine but there is requirement that when the customer receives email, in the display name of sender, there should be some fixed name. But here in this case it is picking the Sy-uname i.e. system user name who is triggering the program.
I also tried the FM SO_DOCUMENT_SEND_API1, but it only changes senders email address, and the requirement is to change the display name in email.

You will have to use ABAP class CL_BCS. With it you can specify the sender, both the address and the name.
          lv_smtp_addr = iv_senderaddress.
          lv_smtp_name = iv_sendername.
          call method cl_cam_address_bcs=>create_internet_address
            exporting
              i_address_string = lv_smtp_addr
              i_address_name = lv_smtp_name
            receiving
              result          = lo_sender_address.

Firefox will not remember multiple user names and passwords for same site, yet it used to do so. Any ideas?

I belong to several publishers website, and I often have to access more than one author's account, which requires that I use their user name (usually an email address) and their password. In the past, whenever I double clicked on the space for user name, I would see all of those user names appear that I use for that site. When I clicked on the one I wanted, the stored password would appear in the password window, and I could log in. Now, it only shows me the most recent user name that I have used. I don't understand how to make it do what it used to do. Any ideas?

Is it possible that that name is stored in a "remember me" cookie ?
