Multiple users edit same calendar?

Is there a way to allow multiple users to edit a subscription calendar?
Never mind-- you can't.
Thanks

A quick update: with the December 31, 2007 release of BusySync version 1.5, users can now additionally synchronize iCal calendars outside of their existing subnet using procedures which are outlined here.

  • Multiple users editing same site

Is it possible to have two mac user accounts edit the same or even multiple sites? Here's my scenario...
We have 1 iMac at home. My wife and I have separate logons or user accounts. I'd like for both of us to logon as our assigned accounts, open iWeb, and co-edit our iWeb sites. Of course, this also includes the ability to both publish updates to my single user .Mac account. I guess I could always have her logon with my account as a last resort. One would think a 'share' site option would exist in iWeb.
On a side note. If anyone is interested I have three personal domains running just fine on .Mac. Previously I was using a service from a company named No-IP to host multiple domains. I have since used the services from No-IP to redirect my domains and mask URLs to my .Mac account. I'd bet other domain registrars like GoDady also have the same features. The net is I can have 3 domains all working fine. See for yourself....

  • How can I have multiple users edit the same calendar?

I work on a team of about a dozen people. We already share individual work calendars through iCloud. We want to create a master iCal calendar that allows us to display our various deadlines on a given project. We want the people to be able to edit their own deadlines.
How can I create a calendar that offers multiple user Edit permission?
    Thanks!

  • How can I sync Iphone to a PC calendar then have multiple users share that calendar? Is there an application that does that?

How can I sync Iphone to a PC calendar then have multiple users share that calendar? Is there an application that does that?

If it is actually an exchange calendar, and it's not linked to a specific user, it should be possible to simply add the exchange account to each device in question and have that exchange account only sync the calendar.  Then every user has access to the same calendar and can add/edit entries to the calendar as needed.
The same would apply if it were a Google calendar added via Exchange.
If the calendar is not actually on Exchange, but rather added from an outside source, it will depend on that outside source where the calendar originates.

  • How do you share Aperture file across multiple users on same Mac?

How do you share Aperture file across multiple users on same Mac? Seems this should be a preferences choice.

When you share your library between users, you may run into permission and ownership problems, if both users are editing the Aperture library and not only reading it. To avoid that, it helps to put the Aperture library onto a separate disk or a separate partion of your hard drive. For s separate partition or disk you can enable the "ignore ownership on this volume" flag. Then all users can access the library as owners of this library.
You might try to put the aperture library into a shared folder on your mac, but that has caused problems recently, i.e. when the library also contains video files.

  • How can multiple users edit and access same ACCESS file

    Hello,
We have 2 access files and multiple users needs to edit and access those files.
How can I enable mulitple access but only one user can edit rest of users are in read-only mode for one file and multiple access and edit on the another file.

    Hi,
You should split your database in a front and backend. Then create two seperate front ends which you can distribute. If you need readonly you can opt for two options, setting the attributes of the file to read only or create a front end with read only forms.
The last one takes a little more work but is safer than setting the attributes to read only because people can change that back themselfs.

  • ICal sharing with multiple users on same computer

How can i set up iCal to share with multiple users on the same computer?

yes, BUT... you need a central repository for the master calendars, usually referred to a Calendar Server. If you are not using a Mac OS X Server on your private network, I think you can use web-based servers that use standard calendar protocol.

  • How to restrict login for multiple users having same Role

Our Web Application is deployed on Tomcat 5.5
    The requirement is ?
There are roles in application like "operator", "admin"?
There are multiple users created for each of the above role.
When one user of "operator" role is logged in, then
It should not allow to login for another user of "operator" role.
Also, if user did not log out & application gets close, then
It should not allow to login for another user of "operator" role.
Also, it should not allow to login for multiple requests of same user
    (using another browser instance...)
Is it possible using session object?
But, using session object, it will create separate objects for different users,
So here I will not be able to restrict session object creation rolewise.
Also, how to retrieve these multiple session objects created for different users on server?
If anyone is having the solution please reply as soon as possible,
    Thank you.

To tell you the truth, this is a stupid requirement. It must be an extremely fragile application.
In any case, you will have to write your stuff for that. Probably a filter that on login, logout, and session expiration checks, makes, or removes entries in a DB (using a synchronized resource to prevent race conditions) or possibly even simply in an application context object.

  • Triggering a sub work flow for multiple users at same time.

I have a scenario in which I have created sub workflow as an activity for approval process. This sub work flow should be triggered for multiple users at the same time and their decison is independent of each other.
This is like creating multipe instance of the same sub work flow and then the sub work flow runs indepedently as a new work flow for each of the approver and the process is completeded for approver independently.
    How can this be achieved?

    Tyr to do like this,
    1. First include the subworkflow in the main workflow template.
    2. Now include standard Block Step in the main workflow template.
    3. In the block select the block type as ParForEach.
    4. Before doing the 3rd point make sure that all the agents for whom you want whom you want to initiate the workflow, populate them in a Multiline conatiner element.
    5. Once completing 3rd and 4th points open the block step under the tab ParallelProcessing  assign the multiline container element name in the   for e;g if the multi line container element name is COSTCENTER then do the binding like below. the conatiner element COSTCENTERLINE is created by default once you include the multi line conatiner element under parller processing tab.
    &COSTCENTER[&_WF_PARFOREACH_INDEX&]&   -------->     &_COSTCENTER_LINE&
Now assign the agent of the subworkflow as COSTCENTERLINE , imean if suppose you have 3 entries in the internal table then three separate and for three different agents the workflow is instantiated.

  • Multiple users on same PC

    Hi:
    (XP, itunes 7.1)
We have an ipod, a nano & a shuffle all sharing the same PC.
How can I create separate music folders for each user? They want to access only their music & not the other persons.
Currently, every time one of them plugs in their device it deletes all their music on their player. Very Frustrating!
We have the most recent itunes (ver 7 or 7.1 - whatever). OS is XP. I really do not want to set up user accounts so I hope this is not The only way to do this.
I've already tried holding shift while opening the program.. that does absolutely NOTHING. I've already tried creating more libraries. itunes goes through the motions but in the end.. does Not set up another Library.
This SO difficult & un-user friendly! I just can't understand why we can't use an instance of IE folder view to drag & drop music from harddrive to ipod.

When the iPods belong to different people, there are basically three ways of using multiple iPods on a computer and these involve:
    a) Sharing a single iTunes library
    b) Creating Multiple Libraries in a single user account
    c) Creating multiple user accounts.
Note: When you are sharing an iTunes library, you don't have to set each iPod to update in the same manner, you can mix and match from the options below as each iPod has it's own update settings
Sharing a Library and/or User Account
If you want to share the one library, you can set either or all of the iPods so that they only get updated with only certain playlists (you can update from more than one if you wish): iPod - Syncing Music
Choosing the update option "Sync Music - Selected playlists" allows you to create a playlist specifically for the iPod and drag the tracks you want into it. If you tire of the list and want to change it, you just add or remove the songs you don't want. The ones you take out out remain in the library to be used some other time if you choose. You can read more about playlists at these links:
iTunes: Creating playlists of your favorite songs
How to create a Smart Playlist with iTunes
Or you can choose to update any or all of the iPods manually and just drag whatever content you want to them: Managing content manually on iPod
Loading the iPod shuffle differs slightly but it can still be used with the others, for details have a look at this page: Adding songs to iPod shuffle - Windows
    Multiple Libraries
It's also possible to have multiple libraries in a single account. To create or access a second (or more) library, hold down the Option key (or Shift key in Windows) when launching iTunes 7. In the resulting dialogue you will get the option to create a new library or navigate to the other Library.
Note: You can only have one Library open at a time and iTunes will default to the last library opened if you don't use the keyboard command to choose one. This can prove tricky when using multiple iPods, if you don't use the keyboard command you can risk syncing to the wrong library: Using multiple iTunes libraries -Windows
    Separate User Accounts
Another option is to create a separate User account for each person on your PC or Mac. Different accounts by definition would give you completely separate libraries. Each account has it's own iTunes folder, Library and iTunes Music folder and you load it with CDs etc just as you did with your original one. The iPod can be set to update however the owner chooses, sync all, manual or sync specific playlists
I don't use Windows so I can't give you a step by step on that one, however I can point you to another web page which should help you out. You can read about Windows user accounts here:

  • Windows XP and authorizing multiple users on same computer

What is the best way to share songs and authorize multiple users (unique XP users on the same computer)?
Are all users on XP considered to be on unique authorized computerers?
    Thank you.

Authorization is done on a per-OS basis; all users on one OS installation are considered to be on the same computer.

  • Sharing music w/ multiple users on same iMac

I have four accounts on an iMac and want to provide access to the iTunes library on an external hard drive for each user. Can you tell me how they can use the music without having to make a separate copy of the library.

Copy the iTunes Music folder to the external drive.
Leave the folder "iTunes" and the two files "iTunes Music Library.xml" and "iTunes Library" in each users "Music" folder.
Change the iTunes Music Folder Location to point to the copied "iTunes Music" folder on the external drive, for each user, here:
    iTunes > Preferences > Advanced > General.
The original "iTunes Music" folder can now be deleted from the computers main hard drive.
If the external drive is not connected and running when a user starts iTunes, the application will default back to the standard location, ~/Music/iTunes.
You can also have multiple users share the same music library by moving the folder as above, to the top level (where the System, Library, Applications and Users folders live) of the computers hard drive, if you do not want to use an external HD.

  • Multiple users on same compu

In my household we have more than one person with a Creative Zen product (a Micro, and a Microphoto). We log on using different user names.
We'd like to use the same computer, and to have many of the same albums on our MP3 players.
    How do we do this?
    Peter English.

Put all of the music files in a shared area - say Shared Documents/Shared Music.
Each person log-on and set-up Creative MediaSource so that the above folder is the default location for music files.
Set-up the Music Library for each person so that it imports all songs from the above folder and that the Media Sniffer function is set up for the same folder as well. Then, whenever one of you adds new tracks to the shared folder, both people's libraries will be updated to include the mew songs.
In MediaSource you cannot have one PC Music Library for multiple users but you can have all libraries linked to the same set of music files.

  • Multiple users on same work repository

We have work repository on a central machine and multiple users are accessing by creating separate logins. As we are accessing the repository remotely we created separate agents for each user and kept the agent running for each user on the central machine.
Although execution works when only one person is executing, but if some other person executes using his agent,we are getting the following error
Listener refused the connection with the following error:
ORA-12519, TNS:no appropriate service handler found
even though we are working on separate objects. We also tried creating separate users (other then the default SUNOPSIS USER) in the security manager but we are facing the same problem.
Please let me know if there is a away for multiple users to execute when working on the same work repository.

Yeah I am also facing the similiar kind of problem please reply..
