Multiple Users for Call Assistant

Does any know how multiple users can sign onto the Verizon Call Assistant desktop client?  Right now, when one user signs on, the other gets logged out.

  • WebTools Creating multiple users for the same User

    I had to make a few changes to a BP in SAP which will synch back into WebTools but now I am getting multiple users for the same contact. For example my user is cspehar_1 now in Webtools there are cspehar_1, cspehar_2, cspehar_3 and so on up to _8.
    This is occuring for several users in webtools.
    What causes this and how do I fix it?

    Hi Craig,
    There are two ways to cause this that I am aware of:
    1.  Change the "Business Partner Synch Contacts Field" setting after the initial synch.
    2.  Change the Web UserID on the BP contact in B1 (OCPR.U_PRX_SID).
    After that, update the user in WT  and synch. (might also happen if  you update the BP in B1)
    Since the synch is using the OCPR.U_PRX_SID to identify the contact, it will not be able to find it in B1 if the U_PRX_SID has changed.  When it does not find it, it assumes it needs to be created.  This results in a duplicate.
    The solution is to reset the U_PRX_SID back to what it was or set the synch contact field back to what it was.
    Then delete the last created duplicate contact from B1.
    There may be further data corruption issues here.  If orders/quotes/opportunities or other dependant data has synchronized referencing the duplicate user, these data will need to be correct as well.
    FYI, whatever caused this was probably at the root of your order problem as well.

    We are using it for our department and it would be great to see who created what form instead of it being all one name.

    Each person should have their own account. You can easily share the forms with other people in your department. You will be able to see who the author of the form is.

  • Table data getting locked for multiple user for a Z-table updation after EH4 to EHP6 Upgrade

    Hi,
    We have one new upgraded system at EHP6, earlier system was at EH4 where multiple user can Run one Z  T-code and can edit the entries for the Z-table.
    This Z-Tcode is calling SM30 internally for updating the Z-Table.
    Now in the upgraded system, when one user is into the transation code, and other user runs that T-code, systems throws a POP-UP mesg saying that the data is locked and can be displayed only(can not be edited).
    I have debugged the code in both the environment and found that there is one statement Call C_ENQUEUE ID < > field. for which the Sy_Subrc is coming as 2 in the upgraded system which is causing the issue, where as the sy-subrc is 0 in the system at EH4 level.
    Can any body tell me why this Z-tcode is not allowing to be accessed by multiple user at same time for Editing(updating the table) .

    we have multiple users who process their credit card requests through xi and we need to issue certificates which will be unique for every user.
    where i need to maintain all these certificates and how a particular user is validated when he sends the request to xi and the scenario is proxy-soap synchronus.

    cetificates are required in message encryption not for users,
    if you don't want certain user not to be able to access certain area of XI,then just don't give him that access in SU01.
    similarly you can restrict access so that users can't see the actual message payload hence the credit card information will be saved

    I have an application deployed on apex 4.0. For my application currently there is only one default user having the same username / password as the workspace which this application is a part of. However, I need to have multiple users to be able to segregate roles. I have created a table with the required users and corresponding passwords, however, am unable to ,make the login page reference this table instead of the default username and password it currently does. Can someone please help me out.

    Thank you for the clarification.
    As per checking the code for STAUTHTRACE, it seems it uses system functions to perform the trace (C_SET_SWITCH, C_SET_USER, C_SET_MOD_TIME). If I understood correctly, C_SET_USER determines the user which the trace will be performed.
    We then tried to create a custom version of the program by enabling addition of multiple users in Trace Options. 
    As per checking the code, the variable which will contain the user for tracing has a type of CHAR12, which means it may not be able to contain all the set users on the Trace Options. A loop statement was the approach used to enable the passing of all users. However, it was observed that the system function stops the trace for the current user once a new user has been set. Thus, the trace will remain active only to the latest user.
    As the possible users for tracing don't have a definite pattern, using wildcards seems an improbable approach.
    With this, kindly advice accordingly.

    As per my client current scenario every work item will be sent to 3 useru2019s (One is the supervisor of the other two users). If any one of the user executes the work item it will automatically call a Ztransaction and displays the screen. When the user without taking any action, he presses the BACK button (in Ztransaction) and comes out of the transaction. Then the workitems for the rest of the users will disappear from there inboxes.
    But my client requirement is such that, whenever the user click on back button the workitem should be "IN PROCESS" status for two users(One is the supervisor and one who executes the workitem) out of  3 users possessing the workitems.
    Please provide me any advice to the above requirement.

    I think this can be done either by putting a check whether the user does anything. If he does a flag should be set which can be used in the Codition Tab of the Activity step that will prevent the workitem from completion.

  • Stupid question from a Mac newbie: multiple users for webbased email

    This problem has infuriated me over the last 4 hours---likely a keychain/cookie issue--- but help has been hard to find. New computer Latest OS X.
    I use safari (or firefox) to log into a web based email account (happens to be an exchange server). initial screen comes up. Click on 'log in'. Up pops a username/password screen. Type in user name, password, don't click on "save password", get into my email account--- no problem. Check email, happy.
    My wife, wants to log into her account.
    I quit safari or firefox. She clicks on the icon. initial screen comes up. Click on 'log in' and up comes MY EMAIL. She did not log on.
    Not sure what to do. Want to set up the web-based email to not automatically log someone into another persons' email as I want to use this computer basically as one account, with multiple people logging into muliple web based email.
    Can this be done easily?

    Just to be devils advocate, mind if I ask how you quit the applications? If you just closed the window by clicking the red circle at the top left corner, then both Safari and Firefox would still be running with your login session details still active.
    Try pressing command+q to really quit the application (or click and hold the Dock icon and select Quit). Alternatively, select 'Logout' (or the equivalent option) on your web email account to close your active session.

I'm wondering if its possible to setup a calendar that both my wife and i can have access, edit and add items from two different machines? I have access to setting up WebDav on a server if that's what i need.     I've been trying to do the same thing with shared calendars for me and my wife. I've seen several similar posts without good responses. Most were explaining how to publish a read only version which can be useful in some situations, but I think there are a lot of people in our situation.
    I'm fairly new to the Mac world and for the most part *I'm very pleased with the software* I've used, but *I do have a few pet peeves that I hope Apple will correct (STILL no cut/paste on iPhone, no voice recording on iPhone, tried to open mobile me at work but got an error stating you must use Safari or Firefox - like most of corporate America I'm stuck with IE, being forced into buying a mobile me subscription in order to wirelessly sync my iPhone/computer and since when did "automatically" sync mean sync every 15 minutes!!!).* Okay, I'm done ranting, so here we go...
    Here's what I came up with...of course it will cost you $99/year
    1. Setup a mobile me account (I'm still on my free 90 day trial period). Also, I was able to set this up using just the single account, rather than the more expensive shared account.
    2. On your login set iCal to sync with mobile me "automatically" (really means every 15 minutes).
    3. On your wife's login, again set iCal to sync with mobile me automatically.
    Should be good to go.
    A few things to note:
    1. You can manually force the sync...I haven't been patient enough to test the "automatic" refresh due to the reported 15 minute delay.
    2. After the sync the web version of iCal is updated, but when switching back and forth between users it appears the updated items do not show up until you actually exit iCal and reopen. Hopefully, Apple is aware and will correct this as well.

  • Multiple users for Mail account

    I'm a new Mac convert but I am having problems with getting mail set-up. I think this is really because I need the mail software from OS X Server (but I'm not keen on purchasing the whole of OS X Server just for that).
    The problem is that mail for several users is delivered to one mailbox at our ISP (and we don't want to change this). Downloading from this downloads everything. On windoze we used to share a single pst file with a lot of rules to put mail in several sub-folders. It wasn't ideal and it wasn't private. I would prefer to have the mail going to separate private mailboxes. I've downloaded the cyrus software used in OS X Server from the Carnegie Mellon website but it seems over-kill for what I want to do and since I'm not an expert on IMAP or POP protocols I'm concerned that it may take me a long time to get it set up.
    Does anyone have any advice for me? Is there a simpler solution? Can I get just the mail software for OS X Server from anywhere?
    Any advice would be much appreciated.

    If you already have your webserver internally on that static ip, then you could technically run your own email server on the same machine.
    I don't actually see why I have to have a webserver to allow me to run an email server (but let's not get into another discussion). I do run web services and I do have a static ip.
    What I have is all mail for my domain arriving at one mailbox on the isp. This is forwarded from the company that I get my domain hosting from. So mail for me@mydomain and mail for other@mydomain is all in the same mailbox. Any download from that mailbox downloads everything. The isp is the only isp in the north of Scotland and I'm glad to have them, but they are small and they don't provide lots of fancy options.
    The problem with using separate folders under one user name comes when you reply to the message - it then doesn't come from the correct name. I also don't really want other people using my login. If there is any way round that please let me know.
    The problem really comes from my not understanding how much less comes with OS X compared to OS X server. I'm used to unixes coming with most of what you want and I didn't realise that apple were following the microsoft model. I was intending to get familiar with OS X before buying a server. Now it looks as though I'll have to go and buy it anyway. Does anyone know if it is possible/easy to install parts of OS X server?
