Multiple Vault Errors

I have been struggling with this for a week now.
I shoot on a Nikon D70s and I shoot raw format. I maintain two separate vaults on two external hard disks. I back up to CD/DVD regularly. I also import all my images into iPhoto - just in case. (Can you say Paranoid?). My Aperture Library is on a native (internal) Serial-ATA Maxtor drive using the Journaled HFS+ File System (disk1s3). My OS is on a seperate native drive (disk0s3).
Changes to my system just prior to this last shoot, include the installation of new RAM and the Aperture upgrade.
I went on a shoot lastweekend and returned with 400+ images. They imported fine into Aperture and Vault 2 was upgraded without issue. When I attempted to import into iPhoto - that program crashed. I have not been able to successfully import into iPhoto.
I then returned to Aperture, and attempted to update Vault 1 - Aperture reported a number of errors (17) and listed the first 5.
I have run Disk Utility and all drives report no problems.
I have rebuilt the Aperture Library and the problem persists.
Using only Vault 1, I have completely deleted the most recent shoot and re-imported them in small groups, deleting back out of Aperture those reporting errors during the Update Vault process. Once this completed, and I successfully updated Vault 1, I attempted to update Vault 2 - it returned 40+ errors and listed the first 5.
I then attempted to create a completely new 3d vault on a 3d external drive. The creation of that vault runs for some time, then reports thousands of errors, starting with the first image in the library.
I have attempted to copy the Aperture Library to another disk using copy, but that fails. The library is 59.86GB in size.
So, three different Vaults reporting errors at three different locations in the Image Library at different times.
I have visually inspected the images which failed out of vault 1 and I cannot find a problem with them. They display fine. Even from within Aperture.
My external drives are on a mix of connections, USB and FireWire.
My limited troubleshooting skills tell me that:
1) It's not a disk problem because the probability of all three disks having issues at the same time is remote - especially when all other programs and data are working fine.
2) It's not a bus problem for the same reason - the problem exists on both the F/W and USB bus. Again - all other programs and data are functioning well.
3) It's not actualy an image problem - because the images display fine using other external programs (Finder, Viewer, Elements etc).
Any suggestions?

Further information:
Every time I open Aperture, Vault 1 (the only vault to sucessfully upgrade) indicates yellow. Even though I have not modified my database.
Following another attempt to update Vault 2 this morning returned the error that Aperture could not create the preview for an image (P0314845).
A check of the Console Log shows the following:

[nQSError: 15009] Multiple paths exist to table DIM_SDI_CUSTOMER_DEMOGRAPHICS. Circular logical schemas are not supported.
In response to this circular error, the developer was able to bypass the error using aliases, but this is not desired by client.
3. They want to know how to avoid this error totally without using alias table and suggest a way to resolve the circular join(Multiple Path) error.
Appreciated if someone can give some pointer or suggestion as the customer is in stiff deadline.

The strange thing compared to your output is that I get an error when I have table prefix in the query block:

Solution for File Vault Error.

I just got off the phone from Apple Tech support (Holding for 20 minutes on a 10th attempt) I could not get past the log-in screen. "File Vault error needs to be repaired". This is what Brandon from Apple told me to do.
1)Restart Computer holding down the "c" key.
2)Follow the onscreen instructions until you get to "Select Drive to install to"
3)Select your drive-click customize
4)Select the 2nd option, (install and do back of of files) and uncheck the box below the option...sorry I can't remember what the option is...Im in the middle of trying it now.
5)continue.
6)If you have already screened the install DVD, there is no reason to do this step again, it is ok to skip to install.
If this does not work you need to erase and install, however, you will need to do a file transfer to another mac computer via fire-wire by holding down the "T" key during start up prior to erasing the drive and installation of Leopard.

I would really love to try this, as I am having the same problem, but even after removing everything possible in the customization, I don't have enough disk space to do so. Probably because I used it all installing the operating system the FIRST time. I don't want to have to do an erase and re-install. I didn't back up nearly enough stuff last time because I was assured I wouldn't need to.
Now, it's after hours so I can't talk to apple and I am stuck with my husband's PC. Ew.

Update Vault Error

I can no longer update my Apertue 2.1.4 vault. Since installing Snow Leopard, I first noticed my iPhone would no longer sync pictures via Aperture 2, but would via iPhoto. Now I find I also cannot update vault to an external drive. Have redone permissions, rebuilt Aperture library, tried to create new vaults on the original external drive and the internal drive. Always get same "Update Vault Error" response and images don't appear to go into the vault. I see similar posts with no solution. My Aperture Library has 14000 photos.
I wonder if these problems will carry over to an Aperture 3 library.

No, I thought of that, I tried to make it simple:-
Lacie/backup/Vault
Or on the internal:-
Users/me/pictures/vault
It may be that one of the images or possibly a sidecar file in my project is corrupt, thus making the library itself corrupt.
Therefore, when Aperture tries to compare its internal library structure to the Vault, it finds an error and blames the Vault for being corrupt; even so it still finds errors trying to backup to a blank brand new vault. I have a problem with the fact that it is suggestng that the vault be deleted(!) and replaced, even though the problem is likely to be with the internal Library itself and not the vault. And replacing the vault with a new one is impossible (still has same error).
Unfortunately I have no way of finding out which one of the 2500 or so images in the library has the problem. I thought that the commandoptionrestart Aperture to rebuild the library would have worked, but unfortunately it doesn't.

#MULTIPLE VALUE error in WEB I 4.1 SP2

HI ALL
I am getting #MULTIPLE VALUE error in few of the records in a column (assume A). Column A is formula in BEx. I am displaying data in web I based on Material division(1st column) and material group(2nd column). I tried with all : in, forall, foreach in WEB I , which doesn't sort out my issue. Can any body helpme out here. Again, I am using BEx Query, and column A is formula in BW BEx.

Sync: Multiple Instance Error Causes Desktop Manager to Fail

I can no longer sync my Outloook calendar with my Bold 9650 using Desktop Manager 6 (bundle 3084). I failed multiple times, rebooted each device and tried again but still receive the same error. Error is a message from Windows that Desktop Manager has stopped working. The last few entries in the log indicate:

I saw an entry in the Outlook calendar related to the error, but not in the BB calendar, and deleted it but this did not resolve the problem. At this point, I cannot get DM to complete synchronization. Has anyone else experienced this and identified a resolution?

RECEIVING MULTIPLE DOWNLOAD ERROR ON ITUNES

receiving multiple downlad errors on itune songs........how do i delet them so I can re-download them?

I found the answer to my question in another part of this discussion forum. I'm adding it here in case someone else sees my original post and wants to see the solution.
To get rid of the download error, go to the download page and find the small down-pointing arrow icon next to the "download error. Tap to retry." text. Put your finger on the down-pointing arrow icon and flick (quick short swipe) to the left. The down-pointing arrow icon will be replaced with a "delete" button. Tap the delete button. Then confirm the delete in the modal popup window.
That's it. An easy solution, even though it took me many hours to find the answer.

ICal Import Failed Multiple validation errors occurred.

I am trying to move my old iCal calendars that used to sync fine to the new ones to sync to mobile me
I exported each calendar but when I try to import each I get
iCal Import Failed Multiple validation errors occurred.
It occurs whether or not I choose to keep or remove unsafe alarms.
I have deleted iCal caches etc.

i'm having this problem as well. (in addition to duplicate calendars of the ones i was able to manually import.) any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am getting a multiple step error when I do this:

I finally tracked down the error to being caused by this syntax:
SELECT a.* FROM MyTable a
or
SELECT a.MyField FROM MyTable a
However, this syntax works just fine:
SELECT * FROM MyTable
or
SELECT MyField FROM MyTable
So what's the big deal here?
Note: Both statements work fine in SQL Server; Oracle chokes on the aliased one.

Multiple-feed error

unable to resolve Multiple-feed error, printer picks-up large stacks of paper & jams. Difficulty opening rear cover (sticks), however, once open the bunch-up paper requires pliers to remove. In an earlier warranty calls to tech. support in India, I was instructed to return the printer for replacement. But I was diagnosed with cancer, in 2009 unable to follow through & comply due to medical complications, was discharged from Memphis Hospital in 2014 . What are my present options? Is there a manual paper feed option, bypassing paper tray? Thank You!

Hi , I understand that you are having issues with the printer pulling in multiple pages at the same time. I will certainly do my best to help you. I am very happy to see that you are doing better. Best of luck with your recovery. Unfortunately this model doesn't have a priority tray for single sheets. Please try these solutions:
1. Remove the stack of paper from the tray and flex it, rotate it 180 degrees, and flip it over. Do not fan the paper. Return the stack of paper to the tray.
2. Use only paper that meets HP specifications for this product.
3. Use paper that is not wrinkled, folded, or damaged. If necessary, use paper from a different package.
4. Make sure the tray is not overfilled. If it is, remove the entire stack of paper from the tray, straighten
the stack, and then return some of the paper to the tray.
5. Make sure the paper guides in the tray are adjusted correctly for the size of paper. Adjust the guides
so they are touching the paper stack without bending. I checked out the Laserjet Color Pro CM1415fnw printer in our lab. Try these steps to see if it may help.Turn off the printer and disconnect the power cable. Remove the paper tray and flip up the jam access door. Look inside where the paper tray was, at the back area, in the middle. You will see two little white rollers. Make sure they are moving freely and I would clean them with a damp cloth and then dry them off again. Open the back access door and check for any rollers also need to be cleaned. Try running a cleaning page through the printer.From the Home screen, touch the Setup icon.

"Multiple Validation errors" message when creating new project in FCPX

As a test I have now managed to change the file format from older quicktime file to .m4v and import into FCPX. I had to use Handbrake to change the file format to .m4v. If a free software can do this then why can't the $300 FCPX - and allow me to import directly? This would save me MANY hours of extra work!
But then, when I try and edit this - first trying to create a new project I get the message "Multiple validation errors occurred" The same message even if I try and custon settings rather than use the default
Does this mean that after all the work and hours it took me to tarnscode the file format, import and then render etc - I will be unable to use FCPX - to edit this footage?

Update on trying to create a new project - and getting "Multiple Validation errors" message
I quit FCPX and tried to use iMovie to make a clip to send to you. Decided against this - and so I opened FCPX again
To my surprise there were now over ten projects - as every attempy had appeared! This is bizarre - why did they not show up when I tried to create them first?
So, I had to delet most and just use one. This appears to be working as a project and is allowing me to edit clips into it.
It will be a reall bummer though if I have to do this every time I need to create a new project!

Update Vault error message

Aperture is not letting me update my vaults. I am receiving update vault error messages when trying to back up to Vaults. I have three backup Vaults on external firewire drives, formatted Mac HFS+ (not MS-DOS) and not partitioned. My Aperture library is also on a dedicated external drive. I get the same message for all three vaults, so this seems to be an Aperture problem, not a disk problem. The error messages refer to NEF (raw) image files that do not exist in my Library (or anywhere else, for that matter). Message reads:

The following error occured:
Couldn't create/Volumes/LaCie/ApertureV2.apvault/Library/....
Any insights would be appreciated.

James Bouret's problem is fixed -- or maybe not.
From my blog: +We traced the problem to "something bad" about the folder or its contents that was being reported. By opening the library and the vault with control-click Show Package Contents and navigating down, it was possible to trash the folder. Not only did the vault update complete once that was done, but it worked many, many times faster than before. The bad news is that I think this is due to a bad spot on the disk, indicating a drive that is on its way out. If you have vault problems: back up carefully and consider that you may have a bad disk.+
A bad spot on the disk may also be the reason that Johnny Cappuccino could fix his problem by modifying the image. That will have rewritten the sidecar files, a process that usually involves creating a new temporary file and then atomically deleting the old file and renaming the new one. So the new file is shiny and good and the bad spot is ready for use by another hapless program.

Recurring vault errors

I'm having a recurring problem when updating vaults from Aperture 2. I fixed it first time around but its started to occur again. Any help?
*_First time_*
Back in November, our copy of Aperture 2 installed on a PowerMacG5 kept on quitting unexpectedly, and vault updates on a Lacie hdd brought back errors. I tried to rebuild the library on another Mac (a PowerBook) running Aperture 2 but this brought up errors too, saying certain items would not copy. Items causing these errors were deleted out of the G5 library but the vault would still not update.
Our next step was to copy the library off the G5 onto a smaller external hdd (successful), move library onto an iMac (successful) and try to import this into a copy of Aperture 2 running on the iMac. This last part failed, until we re-installed Aperture 2. However we could not create an vault from this new library (errors coming up again). Several different external hdd drives were tried, all bringing up problems.
We hit success when, on the iMac still using the 'good' library, we deleted all links to previous vaults, and reformatted external hdds so they were all in Mac OS X Extended (Journaled) format. We were then able to make two vaults successfully.

Update Vault Error has started up again (approx 700+ errors....). Has anyone got an idea why this could be happening, or give me any hints of new things to try?

hi, i'm not positive but i think i may have the same problem. furthermore, i've noticed a common theme to the problem.
first off, some background. i'm by no means a power user of the package, nor am i a mac expert and i've been 'satisfied' with aperture 2, that is until last november 2009, when for some reason, i lost all my aperture image files on my macbook, they had all been imported using the aperture wizard and saved to the vault. i was very diligent. so, no problem i thought, i'll just restore from my vault.
plugged in my portable hdd, commenced the restore routine, aperture restarts and on clicking confirm, i get a message stating that aperture has failed (or something similar) with 'close', 'try again' and 'report' buttons.
now i've been trying to get to the bottom of the problem for some time and Apple seem to have ignored this issue i thought i was defeated and all my images lost for ever. However, i've got round this issue and found most of my images.
there are two elements to the issues i've been experiencing:
_first accessing aperture:_
- i tried re-installing the application and much more. i just couldn't open aperture. however i finally tried opening aperture and at the welcome screen selecting - *import from a media card* (or something like that), rather than my standard option - *continue to aperture*. This worked for me and got me into aperture.
_the second issue - restoring the image files - well this is a more of a problem:_
- i noticed that most of the project folders worked perfectly well and that the images had been restored, however, those project folders with a light-table or a similar sub-set folder; well only the images in the light-table had been restored, the project folder images have been lost. i can't get these back. So before giving up completely, try reviewing the light-table or filter file within the project folder.
to summarise - i don;t know why aperture failed on me last november. additionally, i would recommend to any aperture user that you do not create a backup vault of your files if you have a subset of images selected within the project folder, such as a light-table or a filter, the vault doesn;t seem to be able to handle them.
i do hope this helps people if they have experienced a similar problem. for me, i've now given up on the mac platform, its just been to painful. Mac works great if there are no problems, but when a problem occurs, its generally a big one.
I've lost a considerable number of images, ones which i am extremely proud of and enjoyed looking at and sharing, and this experience and a few other gripes (i.e. a distinct lack of appreciation for an issue which has affected many people) has now driven me back to the pc platform. so long Apple, if you fancy buying my second hand, but well looked after macbook, you will find it on ebay soon.

i have working in production system facing problem with workflow.
General Workflow is receiving multiple workflow errors
Resulting in confusion for business users to resolve.
Old Workflow errors that have been resolved appear to have been resent and sent to the wrong people. Claims Workflow messages are being sent to Customer Service, etc. only thing is we know the user who had changed.
please guide me how to achive this problem?

Not by the workflows, they've already been completed. Do you have a custom job running periodically that looks for errors?
Check SM37. Also make sure these mails aren't coming from a Test system.
Could you give an example of one of these mails.
