Multiple Web Auth Pages

I have looked through the forum and think that I have found the answer to my question but I just need confirmation of my thoughts.
We are using a 5508 WLAN controller running software ver 7.2.110.0 and LAP 1142n AP's.
What I would like to do is to configure multiple guest WLANS for each of our regional offices. Each of these WLANS needs to be configured with a Web Auth page relevant to the office location. My question is this, can I have a Web Auth page for each location or just 2, the default internal page and 1 customised page?
Thanks for any help.

  • Having trouble with custom web auth page on 4404

    Hi all
I am having trouble with a custom web auth page on my controller, we have edited the original file, but when we click login it goes to page cannot be displayed and it doesnt redirect to the page I want, however when I close the window and reopen it has already authenticated me.
Has anyone got a copy of some working html code I can use ?
    cheers

There is sample Web Authentication bundle avaiable for download from cisco.com. if you go to the software download page and go to Wireless->Standalone Controllers->4404 you should see a link for Wireless Lan Web Authentication Bundle.
Its the same bundle whether you have a WiSM, 4404 or 2100

  • Cisco Web Auth Page

We have url-directed login page for web authentication.
Why does the Cisco page flashed, in a bit of a sec, before it goes ahead to the directed url.
Unfortunately, some customers are not happy with this.
Can that Cisco page be totally eliminated?

no... the client doesn't get the full-blown cisco web-auth page. just at the Title bar of the Window, the Cisco Title bar appears very swiftly and directed right away to the supposed external web authentication page.
the code used and tested with were 4.1.171, 4.2.185, 5.2.157. and the behavior is the same for all code. it will flash that Cisco title bar and then directed right away to the external web authentication page.
nope, we're not trying to do something special. just the customer noticed it and somehow is not happy with it.
what could be the best acceptable explanation we can provide our customer for this very small yet customer-annoying instance. is there a Cisco document that we can show the customer regarding this behavior?
    Thanks!

  • Web Auth page not working on WLC

I have a WLC 4402 and I upgraded the s/w from 4.1 to 4.2.176 since I did the web auth on my Guest wlan does not work. I can connect to the wireless ok and when I type in a web address I should get the web auth page but I just get "This page cannot be displayed". However if i type in the ip address of the WLC in the addrsss bar I get the web auth page and it work fine form then on. The web auth page worked fine on ver 4.1. Any ideas?

I opened a TAC case this morning on this same problem, and my solution is what is listed above (config network secureweb cipher-option sslv2 enable)
Basically, SSLv2 is disabled in 4.2. The Default is now SSLv3.
Depending on your Internet settings, if IE is configured to use SSLv2, the webpage will not work.
So in internet explorer, tools, internet options, advanced, There will be a checkbox next to Use SSLv2. (Even if Use SSLv3 is enabled, you still have the https issue).
Basically, my issues was that a select few users could not Web authenticate and a select few admins couldn't HTTPS manage the GUI. Turns out in all cases, the computers that were all able to work, did not have SSLv2 enabled.
By enabling SSLv2, all affected users now work (I think).

  • Web Auth Page

Does anyone have a good resource to create custom web auth pages?  I've modified the bundles from Cisco's website, but I am a terrible web designer.  Just curious if anyone knows of a program to make these modifications easy for someone who doesn't have this skill set.

I use Microsoft Expressions, but I don't know if you call that drag and drop,  You have a split window so you can see the code along with the browser.  This way you can actually type on the browser preview and it will generate the code and vice versa.  Here are some others, but might not be free:

  • WEB-AUTH Page customization

Hi, All can anybody let me know how can I customize the WEB-AUTH login page. If I want to put some image & background how can I do that ? do we need anything special software ..how can I download & upload page from Controller...how can I edit the Page...please help me to do this....
    I appreciate your response.

    Hi,
I would suggest that when you test the default web auth page as a user on the "guest" network (or even use the preview page but the code may be slightly different, you should be able to view the source code from within your browser (e.g. within Firefox use Ctrl-U). You can then use this as a basis for creating your own page.
In terms of HTML tools there are many available, but I use MS-Word 2003 and when necessary the script editor within MS-Word 2003. Once you are happy with your page save in the appropriate format. You can create a page as you want to see it and then convert it to HTML, and then remembering to embed the required "username" and "password" fields and the submit button.

  • Web Auth Page stoped working

I'm using 4404 controllers and 1131 access points. Im on version 6.0.188.0
My Web Auth Page stoped working. I switched our webauth page back to the built in one to test weather or not it was my custome webauth was giving me the problem. It still didn't work. I switched an AP over to my second controller and used the built in webauth and it worked.
I tired restarting my first 4404 controller help.
I doubt it but maybe it has something to do with another problem i posted about. https://supportforums.cisco.com/message/3042441#3042441
does anyone have any ideas on what to do?

I might have found a clue. I went under the security tab and clicked LDAP. I notice that server state was set to disable on controller 1. I looked at controller 2 and it was enable.
I made controller 1 enabled then pressed apply. I tried to login again and it didn't work. I went back and hit the apply button again and a message box poped up. It said "failed to set retransmit Timeout."
after I clicked ok (the only option) it set server state was disabled again.

  • Firefox does not redirect users to web auth page

I have a client that uses web auth for the guest wireless.  When a users opens up FF, it does not automatically redirect them to the web auth page.  However, IE and Chrome work fine.  If you copy and paste the redirection page into FF, it will go to the page then.  The only two possible solutions I have found are to either enable web auth proxy or regenerate the WLC self-signed cert.
    Anyone have any other ideas?
    TIA,
    Dan

I've been trying to figure out a very similar issue where Firefox wouldn't open the guest webpage (the connection was interrupted) and finally found it was caused by opening Yahoo as my startup page. I change it to Google, for example, and it comes up everytime now. When set to Yahoo I could clear my cache and it would work once but then wouldn't work again. If I load Yahoo as the startup page in IE it works everytime. Very strange.
Here's what the debug looks like:
    *webauthRedirect: Jul 23 20:59:33.793: xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx- received connection
    *webauthRedirect: Jul 23 20:59:33.794: xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx- received connection

    *webauthRedirect: Jul 23 20:59:33.803: xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx- received connection
    *webauthRedirect: Jul 23 20:59:33.803: xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx- received request
    *webauthRedirect: Jul 23 20:59:33.806: xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx- received connection
    *webauthRedirect: Jul 23 20:59:33.807: xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx- received request

  • WLC 4402 - only present guest with web auth page once every (x) days

    Hi all,
I am looking to migrate our guest wireless from a third-party system to the WLC.  Currently, we change our guest password (WPA2 PSK) every (x) days.  Each time the guest password is changed and connections are made with the new PSK, guests are redirected to a terms and conditions page which they must accept.  The MAC address is then cached and the page is not displayed again until we clear the MAC cache and change the PSK.
I can almost replicate this with web auth in passthrough mode on the WLC, but it presents the guest with the terms and conditions page each time they reconnect to the WLAN, whether it be from roaming offsite or turning the wireless radio off then on.
Is there any way to have the WLC replicate our current system, where a MAC is cached and the page is not displayed until some other event takes place (changing the PSK or clearing the cache?)
    Thanks!
    -P

Wait ... Shaoqin, will the 7.5 code be released for the 4400 series controllers?  The current release is 7.0.240.0 - I see releases up to 7.4 on the 5500 series controllers
    Thanks

  • Web-auth page alterations and tweaking on WLC 4404

    Hi,
As I mentioned in a previous post I'm running two guest WLANs through a C4404. One of them requires a Lobby Admin to generate a user for a 'less restricted' network and the other requires entry of some personal details into the capture screen before you get onto the filtered, web and secureweb only network.
I've got the registration one working fine and managed to create a login page tailored to suit.
What I'm having trouble with is altering the web-auth passthrough page. Currently it just asks for an email address (not verified) and then allows access to the network. I really want to capture an email, name and other details but it doesn't seem like I can easily upload another page to replace the default as the login.html file is being used for the other WLAN.
Has anyone else done a similar thing or managed to use a page called something other than login.html. My web skills are fairly weak, but I can work my way through most pages and make minor alterations.
Any info would be great...even better would be some page examples.
    Thanks

It seems that every time you wish to use a customised page (either for webauth or passthrough) you need to name it login.html.
The email passthrough uses the WLC default page, but just includes an email field rather than the user/pass that's configured by a lobbyadmin.
So, without using any external server, do you think it's possible to have a customised webauth login page and a customised passthrough w/ email page AT THE SAME TIME?
As a side note, has anyone got the downloadable logo to fit in to the default page without problems. I can't seem to get the image size right and end up with blue borders around my customised logo?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks

  • Problem loading internal web auth page when heavy load

    Hi
I am troubleshooting a wireless-problem related to the internal web authentication page. Simply, when 5-10 computers opens the web browser and got redirected to the 1.1.1.1-page, no problem. But when 20+ computers do this simultanously half of them takes up to a minute to load the web page.
    WiSM:s running latest 6.x-code and 1131 LAP:s.
Anyone experienced the same or know what this can be related to?

  • Web-Auth page for mobile device ?

    Dears,
How to do the page that can check NB or Mobile device, and redirect the  difference login page ?
Need external server or can work in controller's custom page ?
    Thanks.

The detection or what we call profiling is done after the device associates. Cisco ISE can profile and determine what type of device it is. However prior to association, there is no way to push devices to a specific splash page.

  • Multiple SSID with different Login Web authority pages

Our current setup is one Anchor control and then several WLC’s, I want to know if I can have multiple SSID and use different Web Auth pages form them, so I can have a SSID that requires a password to Authentication access and another SSID that requires pass through Authentication but they would have different web authentication pages and go to different pages once Authenticated.

  • WLC 4402 web auth Internal login page

    Hi,
We recently upgraded our code on our wlc and now our internal web auth page has a nice teal colored L shaped bar in the right upper part of the screen.
Is there a way to edit the internal web auth page other than just uploaded a new bundle to the box?
When I view the source of the preview page I can see the exact coding that is causing the issue.
    Thanks for any ideas.
    Code 4.1.185.0
    Craig

The only way is to customized the code and then upload it to the wlc as a tar file. Of course, you will have to set the wlc to custom webauth and not internal webauth.
