There it is:
I have upgraded to iWeb 09 and I have noticed that some of my templates from third parties have disappeared. They are still in resources folder under themes, but not visible when I open iWeb 09.
Is there a way to get them up and running?
And...
Is there a way of designing three different websites which are live at the same time.
I bought a domain and forward my iweb to it. However I want to build three more separate webs.
What do I do? I dont understand FTP etc etc...

Did those themes come with installers? If so download them again and try reinstalling (a long shot but give it a try). Make sure you have a backup of the iWeb.app before doing so. If that doesn't work you'll have to wait until the developer updates that theme to be compatible with iWeb 3.

both tables and templates can be printed any number of times ina main window.
The tables as in sequence are printed...after ending with the first it gets on to the another.
If u want to print it under some cdonditions you can do it using the condition tabs.As per it is a main window the dats gets flowing to the next page so as the order goes thae data goes on printed.

Coldfusion 9 Standard w/Multiple Websites and Rackspace

Can I host multiple websites (i.e., with unique IP addresses) on 1 install of CF9 Standard?
I plan to purchase CF9 standard and install it on a Rackspace Cloud Server.
I have about 5 websites I want to port over from a shared hosting environment.

My question boils down to this: Can I host multiple websites (i.e., each with their own unique IP addresses) on 1 install of CF9 Standard on a single Cloud Site?
According to Carl, this can be configured in IIS so I believe the technical issue is resolved. So my next issue is if this would be ok with Adobe? Would I be breaking their licensing terms by having 5 (or even 20) sites using 1 install of CF9 Standard on a single cloud site?
My question arrose b/c reading this: http://www.adobe.com/products/coldfusion/pdfs/cf9_feature_comparison_matrix_ue.pdf . I interpreted this as multiple sites can only be done wiith CF 9 Enterprise edition.

@Josh.. Not sure if you're an Adobe employee, but my questions are valid and legitimate pre-sales questions. I'm just an individual not a large corporation. So before I plunk down $2,000 for CF9, I need to know if I can legally (and technically) host multiple websites on 1 CF9 Standard license. I'm sure Adobe can afford to hire at least 2 guys to answer questions from budding entrepreneurs and small busineses. At the very least it's good customer service. Even Cisco has a dedicated support team for small business. It's ridiculous that I can't even speak (or even email) someone at Adobe to get at least "yes" or "no" answer.
Individual developers are the lifeblood of coldfusion. If it weren't for guys like Charlie Arehart, Dan Vega, Ray Camden, Ben Nadel, etc I assure you that the CF developer community would be much smaller. Last I checked, Univeristy of Wisconsin has not posted any CF tutorials or trips and tricks.
I've been a Coldfusion fan since 2005. And I've been familiar with it since 1998 while doing contract work with the Fed. So it's like a smack in the face that I am ignored once I'm ready to take the financial risk and pay $2,000 for my own copy of their server software. Developers have other options. Ignoring the devloper base is not the way to go. And that plain sucks. Adobe has really disppointed me. They've let me down.

Multiple websites and applications using one user database

I've got several applications and websites that will be built around one main application. In a perfect situation users will be able to register once and be able to log into the different applications and websites using that single account. The different
parts will be:
Main application (Windows application) that uses the account to get access to it's features and to the server.
Second application with it's own specific tasks (Also a Windows Application) that uses the account to get access to it's features and to the server.
Main website which is based on Wordpress. The website has a bbPress forum that would use the account.
Data server which can be accessed for specific data using the account.
Most of the data that the users have will be the same for the different applications and websites so to me it seems that having a database for each separate part would complicate things more than having one database for everything.
My main concern is the Wordpress site and bbPress forum because of the fact that these already have their own account systems.
What would be a valid approach? Using one of the existing databases from Wordpress or the forums with the risk of having a lot of Wordpress/bbPress specific data with the accounts or making a database especially for the other applications and websites and
somehow linking those to the website and forum databases? Would the valid approach be secure for use by these different applications and websites?

When I open PDF's multiple tabs keep opening. I tried on multiple websites and it does the same thing when trying to open PDF.

So here is the deal. I try to open a PDF to view on any website and it opens numerous amounts of tabs, never stopping, tab after tab after tab.
I went to Dells site to try and view a manual, I went to honeywell site to try and view a pdf.

Edit the default install "Opencart Website and Template" in dreamweaver

Hi guys,
im new to dreamweaver and diving in the deep end obviously. I guess the idea of doing this on my localhost is all about practicing locally before tackling a real world scenario on a production web-server in the near future.
I have just installed
1. WAMP server on my Win 8 localhost
2. Opencart on this server
I would like to edit the existing "Opencart" default website that i have just installed on my WAMP, Things im interested in doing...
1. making changes to the opencart template
2. altering the website structure (eg pages, images etc)
Is dreamweaver able to do this? (i am assuming that i may use a variety of adobe products for the task...eg photoshop etc)
If yes...
how do i go about getting it into dreamweaver (and synchronising dreamweaver with the localhost WAMP "Opencart site")
If no...
what program is best suited for tackling this task?
I have signed up for the adobe cloud so i have access to quite a number of adobe products.

Multiple SQLs and templates based on parameters

Hi,
I am developing a report using the BI Publisher that is intergrated with EBS. It will be submitted from concurrent program submit request form. Based on the number of parameters, the report SQL and layout should change.
(e.g. If user inputs parameter1 and 2, the output will be at summary level. If he provides parameter 2,3 and 4, detailed output should be displayed)
Is there a way to achieve this or Do I need to go for separate data template-layout combination?

There really is no need for it to be two reports....You have to watch for these Kiwis! j/k gareth
I have done this before and it works quite well, all you really need to do is create another grouping after your beforeReport query. I've actually used it combination with bursting too.
In your queries if you don't want to execute the query you can pass in a parameter and a join
first query

If you don't want there to be a blank node (zero nodes) I would suggest you change the property in the data template include_null_elements to false and that will removed the empty node (could be group1 or group2 depending on the parameter)
Also, I have not seen any real performance issues with it either but everyone else's situation is different.

I am assuming here is talking about the virtual directory. But when I tried to follow the steps to set the Application Protection (last step) I got a popup warning says:
COM+ was unable to talk to the Microsoft Distributed Transaction Coordinator.
what's that mean? how can I set it?

I have had the same problem for WEEKS and I cannot access any sites that use Flash. Flash has been installed on this computer since I bought it in 2012. I have allowed auto updates but for weeks the updates never get past Step 2 - is this because I do NOT want the Google Tool bar? I use NO tool bars as there is only 6 inches of vertical screen space. Is this because I uncheck wanting Chrome as a default browser? It is already installed, I just don't use it. I came to this site and ran the check is it installed and the system says it is either not installed or not enabled. Version 14 just downloaded about 30 minutes ago - but did not progress to Step 3 although a pop up screen came up with a finish button, which I clicked. WHAT is the problem and how do I fix it? If this were just a compatibility bug between IE11 and Adobe they have had plenty of time to fix it.

I am not sure that I totally understand your question. From my understanding, I think you may want to charge the every websites separately by their usage. And the meaning of "host multiple websites under one basic/standard account" is that you
want to host your multiple website on one basic/standard pricing tier.

description about the limit of website number. For basic and standard tier, they are no limit of website number.

Co-Administrator is users for your Azure subscription. They have the permission for all of your services and included websites service. If you want the user only can manage his website on Azure portal, the one approach is that you can create the new
subscriptions for each users. They can use their subscription to manage their service. The other approach is that you can use the Azure VM . And you can add the permission for users. And your users can login on VM using RDP.

Is SSL and multiple websites possible with Lion Server?

this is the obligatory apology from a nub here....
I have not been a sys admin since the days of NT 4.0.
I like to think that "hey, i might need a touch up here and there, but I think I can find my way around..." Wrong.
I have been searching, and reading and searching and reading, and trying everything I can think of.. and I CAN NOT figure out how to get mutliple websites working with Lion Server, using self signed certs 1 for each of my subdomains.
Has anyone, anywhere (thank you google for returning searches to me from 2004?!?! More puzzled confusion....) posted a step by step guide yet???

I found out about SNI while researching an error I was getting in the log. I really never found any definitive "this is what you need to do", so I was going to get back to it later.
You probably know this, but Lion Server breaks out all of the virtual hosts into seperate documents in the "sites" directory. All I do is I launch the server.app, and in the web component, I enter the name of the website that I want to resolve to my server, and I give it the path to the docs. Thats it. There is no DNS configuration to speak of, on my part, and I don't believe that its necessary (?) to touch the httpd.conf file at this point yet either, even though I think I hear others saying you do. (I have no issues with getting into the file and making any changes, I just thought it was interesting.)
I am still trying to figure out how a user is supposed to add any other types of services LIKE ftp, etc. I know and use the server admin tools, but I have found that the app really does do its job in terms of creating all the dns records for resolving the sites you create. I sure hope its not just using the host file, is it? I never see any additional files in the DNS manager, for any of the subdomains. Where are they?

So.. my questions are:
Where in the .confs do I add what I need from your above items? Would it go each of the site docs that I need? I am really not sure what apple is doing here.
I have 4 domain names resolving to my server right now, and subdomains to each of the domains. So there are a total of about 10 "site" docs, not a big deal to change each, I just wonder if Lion overwrites these docs with each refresh or what? Also, If I try to add a third .com right now it breaks the whole site.
(Out of conversation, but I just remembered this. I just had to "quit" out of the server.app.) When installing the directory server, it hangs on "getting certificates". The spinning wheel (not the rainbow collered one, but the black one by the words "Getting Certificates") just sits there and spins. I finally just hit the red X and relaunch server.
Lastly, you meniton importing the key. I am using the key manager within the server app. I am not sure where and how I would make the cert and key you are referring to for the importing? I have tried to use the key manager in the OS, but I am not sure of the relationship between that key manager app, and the key manager within the server.app. I have tried to create certs in the keymanager in the OS side, but I do not know how to get them to show up for use in the keymanager in the server.app.

Multiple websites, multiple woes: Best IWeb 09/MobileMe strategy?

I'm still a bit confused as to the best strategy for using IWeb 09's much-touted-in-reviews but apparently rather limited ability to publish to two or more separate MobileMe accounts.
In IWeb 08, I would set up several different user accounts on my Mac, associate each one with a separate MobileMe account from my Family Pack, and maintain separate domain files for each (all stored in the same folder on my hard drive, but given different names like "Domain_personal" or "Domain_business"). This worked fairly well, despite the inconvenience of sometimes not having a photo I wanted to use readily available, as it might be part of an IPhoto library that belonged to another account.
(I would generally log-in to the user account I wanted to use and work on the MobileMe domain file I had "assigned" to that account. But now and then I might forget, and start working on a domain file for the "wrong" Mac user account. That didn't seem to be a problem -- I could still save my latest changes, log out and then log in to the "right" user account, where I could publish my revised domain file to the intended MobileMe account.)
But in IWeb 09, my previous strategy is resulting in a slew of problems. Unexpected crashes. Or IWeb refusing to save a file after I've changed it (it just tells me the file cannot be saved, no explanation). Or images and/or video files that will suddenly go missing. Last night I found that one domain file/site I had published over and over with no problems in Iweb 08, now appeared to be a complete mess in IWeb 09 -- numerous missing images, including some png files that are apparently part of the Apple-supplied IWeb design template. Yet the graphics (mine and Apple's) were suddenly back when I opened that same domain file in another user account on my Mac.
So my IWeb 08 strategy does not seem to be working in IWeb 09. I guess an alternative would be: Do all my IWeb work in the same user account, swap domain files as I'd been doing before, and reset my MobileMe identity for that user account every time I want to publish. Or -- essentially the same thing -- use IWeb's ability to maintain multiple sites in the same domain file. But once again, I'd typically need to manually change my MobileMe identity to a different account at publishing time, to get an individual site going to the right place. And hope like heck that I don't accidentally mess up ICal, etc., by accidentally syncing to "wrong" Mobile Me account, to which I've logged in solely to accommodate IWeb.
Am I missing something here? Is there some logical reason why Apple would set up IWeb 09 to allow you to publish multiple sites, stored in one domain file, to various multiple external sites via FTP with ease? But make it essentially impractical to publish to several different MobileMe accounts, without the hassles I've mentioned?
It seems to me that if I want to use IWeb 09 for multiple web sites, the only sane thing is to drop my extra MobileMe accounts as soon as possible, and add some more external sites --- since (if you can do the RSS, etc., yourself) Apple has just made it so much easier to publish to anywhere-else-but-MobileMe.
Anybody have a different take on this? Or a better solution?

The following may not be a better solution, but it does provide a different "take". I haven't tried it myself, so I wouldn't be surprised if there's a fatal flaw in the idea. Anyway, taking that risk...
Since we don't know what, in iWeb '09, is causing your "slew of problems", it's not possible to say whether this proposed approach would make any difference. But in theory it would enable you to:
• maintain your separate Domain files
• publish to your multiple MobileMe accounts
• from the same user account on your Mac.
Take a look at this Apple doc:
MobileMe: How to publish a custom website
The idea is to publish your iWeb sites to different MobileMe accounts from a single Mac user account as +"custom websites"+ and, as that doc says:
"If you only plan to publish custom sites to your MobileMe account, you can make your site's URL shorter by placing your site (and its main index.html file) in the main Web/Sites folder instead."
...Presumably iWeb 09's integrated non-MobileMe publishing is FTP only, not WebDAV that iDisk requires. So you would need the free Cyberduck or pay for Transmit to publish your sites via WebDAV protocol to a MobileMe account's iDisk. And for a Domain you are about to publish, you would have to remember to use the appropriate MobileMe "destination" of the several you've set up to use in Cyberduck or Transmit.

Can I manage multiple websites?

Well? Can I? I create one website, and when I create new one, it's like adding a new playlist in iTunes. When I publish them, they're like combined together, and the index page takes you to the first site you created. I can't seem to save these in separate files, and when I do, I first must delete the content of the first website on the site organizer in order to begin the next site. But when I do that, I can't retrieve or reload the content of the first website! Help!

No suggestions about workarounds, I'm afraid. It's either intended or is a limitation which Apple are aware of and plan to address in a future upgrade. Knowledge Base documents have this to say:
iWeb: Do not use similar names for your sites
If you have two sites in iWeb with the same name but different capitalization (for example: "site" and "SITE"), after publishing, only one site will appear online.
To prevent this, do not give your sites names that are the same except for capitalization. Use numbers (Site1, Site2) or different names (Work, Home) to name your different sites in iWeb.
iWeb: Don't use identical page names on multiple sites
iWeb allows you to build more than one website. For instance, you may decide to create a personal site and a business site. However, you cannot use the same name for two pages, even if they are on different sites. For example, if you have a page called "Welcome" on Site 1, you cannot have a page called "Welcome" on Site 2.
Don't worry if you have a lot of pages to keep track of. iWeb will warn you if you try to rename a page using a duplicate name with this alert:
Invalid Name
The name "Welcome" is already in use and cannot be used. Please choose a different name.
iWeb automatically renames multiple template pages (like Welcome or Photos) by adding a number at the end of the page name.

Post same web page to multiple websites

When I bought Contribute I bought it to do just that. I
bought it so I could take 1 web page (basically a template) and
upload it to multiple websites so I could give permissions for
people throughout the world to edit a section of the web page. Very
simple premise in my point of view. Advertised to be easy to use.
Not satisfied at this point whatsoever. Someone needs to contact me
and tell me how to do it, because after using it for 45 days I
cannot get it to do anything that a free HTML will not do. As a
matter of fact most better. All I am doing is simple, I have
multiple sub domains and want to use the same template on all, I
want to be able to change and/or give people in other locations to
change parts of the web pages. Why did you make Contribute? This is
what I thought I bought?
If it will not do it easily or at all, what is the purpose of
it? I could have bought templates from Ebay.

I hoped that was it, but still won't load. Just tried.
