Multiple wireless speakers

Can I connect multiple sets of wireless speakers to 1 Airport Express or do I have to have a Airport express for every pair of wireless speakers?

You have to connect an audio cable from the audio port on the AirPort Express to something like an amplifier or powered speaker setup.
How were you planning to connect the speakers to an amplifier or receiver?

  • Is there a way for use airplay on multiple wireless speakers (PartyMode)?

is there a way for iPod/iPad/iPhone to use airplay speakers in multiple wireless speakers zones (like PartyMode)?
    (PartyMode)
on your Computer or Laptop you can shoose in iTunes different speakers zones at the same time.
But this is not possible on a iPod/iPad/iPhone. one ly one speaker zone is possible.
is there a any way to do it the same way as in iTunes on your computer ? ?

The Music/iPod app on iOS devices do NOT support "multiple speaker" option.
As a work around, you can download and install Remote app and setup with iTunes Home Sharing and you can control your iTunes music using your iOS device (iPod touch/iPad/iPhone) to play music to multiple speakers.

  • Using multiple wireless speakers with apple TV

    Dear All
I am loving airplay from my iphone to my apple tv - pandora mainly - is there any way I can have wireless speakers set up to my apple TV so I can get sound throughout my apartment?
many thanks for any help you can give me
    best

We used to be able to do this, by the way; the original (white) Apple TV did this, and it was very useful. This is just one of many things, e.g. local storage, that Apple discarded in the "upgrade" to the black model. It's also much less reliable; I have constant problems with the remote app losing contact with the ATV, or taking forever to find it; the ATV claiming that it can't contact the iTunes Store, which is fixed by a reboot; iTunes mysteriously refusing to use certain ATVs via AirPlay while using others which are configured identically (with no error message or indication of what's wrong); etc.
Apple really screwed up this product, both in terms of features and software quality.

  • Using multiple wireless speakers in Mavericks

    Hi guys,
I'm currently using my 2010 MacBook Pro to connect up to a set of bluetooth speakers. I have seen a guide showing how to add dual audio in Mavericks to use both jack output and bluetooth connection to play music.
Can you do the same with bluetooth audio? I'm looking at getting another bluetooth system but there's no point if it won't work! The set up would be all audio output from my Mac, connected to two logitech bluetooth adapters which each connected to its own speakers.
    Ta.

  • Multiple wireless speaker system?

    Greetings,
I own a retail store (1200 sq/ft) and would like to setup a wireless speaker system.  What I envision is the ability to stream (iTunes or Pandora, etc) from an iMac to multiple wireless speakers (4-6) throughout the store.  Questions I have;  Is this possible?  If so how is it configured, through Bluetooth, Airplay, Airport?  Any advice on good quality speakers that can accomplish this task is also greatly appreciated.  I am trying to take advantage of my Mac network of iMacs, iphone, ipad without going to a standard in-wall/ceiling receiver system.  Many thanks for the advice!!!

Ok cool so its doable and I was also reading about Airfoil for Pandora and the like.  Next question is about the speakers.  I have done quite a bit of searching but it does not appear that one can purchase Airplay ready 7.1 surround system, true?  Basically what I would like is to position 4-6 smaller bookshelf like speakers around the store.  What Im not interested in is one single standalone speaker.  I want the sound volume to be even throughout the store rather than a booming focal point.  Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!

  • Can connect wireless speakers to my airport express

im looking to have 2 aiport express units in my house, one for the kitchen area and one for the bedroom/bathroom. i understand i will not be able to stream 2 different playlists through the 2 different airports at the same time, is that correct?
if i have wireless speakers can i stream music to both the bathroom and the bedroom from one airport?
and finally, i have an apple mac, other than that, and aquiring the APE, is there anything else i need to buy, apple-wise, that i will need to make this work?(other than speakers of course)
thanks for your help in advance

That is correct. You cannot stream different iTunes playlist to separate AirPlay speakers. You can, however, stream the same playlist to multiple AirPlay speakers simultaneously.
if i have wireless speakers can i stream music to both the bathroom and the bedroom from one airport?
Unless these "wireless speakers" are AirPlay-enabled, then I believe the answer is no. That is because the speaker would have to be physically connected to the AirPort Express via the appropriate audio cable to receive the stream from the base station.
and finally, i have an apple mac, other than that, and aquiring the APE, is there anything else i need to buy, apple-wise, that i will need to make this work?(other than speakers of course)
Basically, you just need an iTunes server (iTunes host computer or iOS device) and an AirPlay speaker (AirPort Express, Apple TV, or other dedicated AirPlay devices from other manufacturers) to stream. What you currently have should do the trick.

  • How could we have the Sonos wireless speakers work with Aruba System?

Answer- Generally we may notice that the Sonos wireless devices are not able to pass  discovers / requests / replies through Aruba controller . One of the main reason could be the DLNA limitation on the controller when Airgroup is enabled. In such situations, if we disable Airgroup we can notice these devices start working fine. But if we want to use Sonos wireless speakers with AirGroup enabled on their Aruba wireless networks, we may have to enable some DLNA Airgroup services.
If we check through the blocked AirGroup services multiple times (show airgroup blocked-service-id dlna). We can find the following service IDs to the DLNA Media airgroup service in order to make this system work as desired:
    airgroupservice "DLNA Media"
      id "urn:schemas-upnp-org:service:GroupRenderingControl:1"
      id "urn:schemas-sonos-com:service:Queue:1"
      id "urn:schemas-upnp-org:service:AVTransport:1"
      id "urn:schemas-upnp-org:service:RenderingControl:1"
      id "urn:schemas-tencent-com:service:QPlay:1"
      id "urn:schemas-upnp-org:service:GroupManagement:1"
      id "urn:schemas-upnp-org:service:ZoneGroupTopology:1"
      id "urn:schemas-upnp-org:service:DeviceProperties:1"
      id "urn:schemas-upnp-org:service:MusicServices:1"
      id "urn:schemas-upnp-org:service:AlarmClock:1"
      id "urn:schemas-upnp-org:device:ZonePlayer:1"
      id "urn:schemas-upnp-org:service:SystemProperties:1"
      id "urn:schemas-upnp-org:service:ContentDirectory:1"
      id "urn:schemas-upnp-org:service:ConnectionManager:1"
We can add these under an airgroup service as "Sonos Services" or any other name in order to differentiate this traffic from other DLNA traffic.

vikrams-Is this method supported for IAP-103 running 6.4.0.3-4.1.0.2_45704? I create the Service however when I try to add the service ID to my Sonos defined service, it is asking for the service ID in the format of: _<alpha numeric string>._tcp or ._udp? Thanks!Leandro

  • IMac - wireless speakers for house

I want to set up wireless speakers in my house connected to my iMac. What's the best configuration for that? Do I need a receiver?

There are many ways to go about this. One popular way is to use Sonos's proprietary wireless system. It is expensive although I hear it is quite good for a multi-room setup. The only way to expand this setup is with Sonos hardware only. http://www.sonos.com/
I have built my setup using various AirPlay speakers which is an Apple technology they licence out to other parties. AirPlay works over your wifi network with third party speakers using AirPlay technology or using Apple's Apple TV (streams video as well) or Apple Airport Express which can plug into a stereo. It will only stream to multiple speakers from iTunes on a computer. iOS devices can also stream to AirPlay devices although to only one speaker at a time. With an Apple TV on the network you are also able to stream audio and video from iPhones, iPod touchs and iPads. Not sure how reliable Sonos is but you can experiance audio drop outs with AirPlay when you are on the edge of your wireless networks range, I imagine the same is true with Sonos. http://www.apple.com/ca/airplay/

  • Apple TV 1st Gen with wireless speakers

    Hi,
I've been searching forum after forum for the perfect solution to my home music setup but have had no luck so far.
Currently I have my iMac connected to my 1st Gen apple TV and this has worked fine up until now for what I need it for (playing music and watching movies and photos on our main TV in the house that the apple TV is connected to). Also the beauty of the 1st Gen apple TV is the music is synced to it meaning the iMac doesn't need to be on 24/7 to play the content.
What I would ideally love to have setup (if possible) is all music still stored on my iMac (without the need for it to be switched on) synced to my apple TV - then the choice to either play the music through the TV it's hooked up to or alternatively push it to wireless speakers in another room with the music played controlled by the remore app on my iphone 4S?
Is this possible or am I just wishing for to much?
    Thanks
    Gary

......... is all music still stored on my iMac (without the need for it to be switched on)
    Unfortunately that is simply impossible.

  • Is ther a way to send music to multiple airplay speakers on my ipad without having to use itunes

Hello all, l have a question that relates to air play and my ipad 4.
ls there a way to send music to multiple airplay speakers with my ipad 4 without having to use itunes as the master controller on my other PC. l know it is possible with itunes, but surely the ipad should be able to play to more than one airplay device at a time, we are living in the year 2013.
Is there an alternative and if there is not, could someone please explain or point me in the wright direction why it is so!
Thank you all in advance for your comments

Yes there is and I'll be happy to email you how. [email protected] is my address.

  • Airtunes, Wireless Speakers and Airport Express:  A Reality?

    Hi all,
I have an Airport Extreme Base Station that I use to wirelessly connect my iMac and pc to the internet and a common printer. Last week, I purchased the Airport Express (AE) to allow for me to play the music from my iTunes library (on the iMac) on some speakers in my backyard during a party. I wound up purchasing some decent computer speakers and connected them to the AE vis-a-vis a 3.5mm stero jack.
Ideally, I want to purchase some really good, wireless outdoor speakers, but I do not know how I would be able to utilize the AE in conjunction with a wireless speaker system. Again, my understanding is that a 3.5 mm stereo jack connecting the speakers to the AE is required to enable Airtunes to play via the AE.
Can anyone suggest a way that I can get Airtunes to play through the AE over wireless speakers without the stereo jack? Are there any wireless speakers that include a subwoofer that would connect to the AE via the 3.5mm stereo jack and then transmit to the speakers via bluetooth?
Thanks in advance for any help!

^^ Thanks, Duane. But how about a situation where the wireless speakers are equipped with a receiver: theoretically, could I attach the receiver to the AE via the 3.5 mm stereo jack and then place the wireless speakers anywhere I desired (within the range of the receiver, of course)?

  • What wireless speakers will work with the "remote speaker" feature?

I want to use the remote app on my iphone to control my itunes library and was considering purchasing some speakers to put out by my pool. My question is what kind of speakers will itunes detect? what technology are we talking about? RF, Bluetooth?

iTunes itself, that is it's built-in remote speaker function, will work only with an Airport Express. There may be other wireless speakers that have their own drivers or transmitter; someone else here may be able to make a recommendation.

  • How to get paired Auvio wireless speakers to connect and play on 2008 Macbook Pro

How do I get wireless speakers to play after successfully paired in system preferences of 2008 macbook pro? When both turned on they will not connect.

You don't. The HDMI socket on your MacBook Pro is an output, not an input.
What content source are you wanting to view? Your MacBook Pro may be able to view it directly.

  • Apple TV Hooked up to two receivers-Ad wireless speakers?

Presently I have my 5.1 HDMI receiver hooked up to my AppleTV with wired speakers in my den.
I also have another old receiver that also runs my AppleTV (analog) with speakers in my sunroom which are also wired.
I am able to play my AppleTV music to both at the same time with both receivers with no problems.
I would like to switch out the WIRED Sunroom speakers to wireless speakers.
Would I just buy "Airplay" or Bluetooth speakers to replace the sunroom speakers?
Can I still use my old receiver to power the wireless speakers?
Can both receivers/AppleTV work like my orig set up?
My concern is in my IPads "settings".

Bluetooth on the ATV is only for connecting a keyboard.
If using AirPlay speakers, keep in mind that when AirPlaying content from an iDevice to the ATV, no sound will be sent to the AirPlay speakers.  If you are okay with that limitation, go right ahead.  Otherwise, keep the current setup.
