Multiple xml files in one application?

Is it possible to split up the xml code
and let different session info objects
use different xml files in one application?
null

Krasimir,
Actually, my last reply might have been a little misleading. If you use ADF libraries then your task flows should be packaged correctly and should just work. I created a very simple test as follows:
1. Created a new project. In adfc-config added two view activities, pageb1 and pageb2, and some navigation between them. Created the .jspx files for these view activities.
2. Deployed my project as an ADF library and exposed the library in the resource palette (using a file system connection).
3. Created a new application containing a project (project1). In project1, created a simple flow in adfc-config.xml with pagea1 and pagea2.
4. Added my ADF library to project1.
5. Now, by expanding the ADF library in the navigator (select Show Libraries from the dropdown menu on the Projects toolbar) I can see the adfc-config file in my library, and see that it is now under META-INF.
6. I can run the adfc-config in my library and the adfc-config in my project - both work fine. I can also access any of the view activities in either flow by accessing the URL directly.
Do these basic steps work for you? Let me know if any of it is not clear.

  • Multiple XML files for one application

    I have an application I wrote for my company and they all use the same application, but depending on there department they need to access a different XML file on the server. How do i code it so that the user has to input a code the first time they open the application in there phone and then it will know what XML file to pull from. Any help in how to structure this would be great. I am using the HTTP service call.

    Each logger can have its own file I think. Check the log4j documentation.

  • Loading multiple XML files into one XMLList

    I am working on an app where I will load a list of recipes.  Each recipe is an XML file.  I would have an XML file that lists the filenames that need to be loaded.  I am assuming in can use one HTTPService and loop through this list, and set the url and do myService.send() until all the xml files have been loaded and concatenated into one xml list. True?
    My main question here is how do I load each XML file and add it to the same XMLList?
    Assume each XML file's root tag is <recipe>.  I want to create an XMLList with the root  <recipes> with each <recipe> as a first child.
    Thanks.

    Why don't you use the Data centric workflows which will help you to deal with multiple XML files as AS objects? Something like this
    1. Create a HTTPService using Data menu -> Connect to HTTPService
    2. create a operation getRecipe and enter your URL example URL: http://myserver/recipe?name=recipename
    3. Use Configure Return Type to tell that this method returns a Recipe class
    4. Use DataBinding to bind the result of this to a DataGrid
    Call the following in a loop and
    recipeName = myRecipes+ // All of your recipe names, Recipe is a ArrayCollecition
    Recipe.setAt(i) = Svc1.getRecipe(recipeName);
    At the end you would have a Recipe[]
    This is one of the ways you could work instead of having a XMLListCollection and use e4x etc. to go through your collection.
    Let us know if this helps, or you are looking for something else.
    Thanks

  • How to Merge multiple XML  files in one file ( Env: XML Publisher 5.6.2)

    All,
    I have recently started working on XML publisher and have developed 3 reports in last 2 days using XML Publisher and integrating them with Concurrent programs.
    This is a great tool.
    I have got another requirement, where i need to use xml file generated by multiple run of same report with various parameters and then merge all xml file to a single report. Developing the whole custom process will take very long time and sure will have bugs in it. Instead i was thinking to use xml file generated by Oracle report itself.
    Report "US Gross to net summary" generates xml output in standard output directory and then show output in PDF file. I have 7 such file generated for each payroll. I want to merge output of xml into a single xml so that i can create single report having data from all 7 xml files showing me All payroll output in a single report.
    Can someone please guide me , how can i read xml file data from the output directory of a seeded concurrent program and how to manipulate data in it.
    Thanks
    Ankur

    Hi Tim,
    Thanks for replying. I have looked for "PDFBookBinder class" in xml publisher user guide for ver 5.6.2. I didn't get any reference of this text. Can you please guide me to a tutorial/link where i can get more information about this class.
    Also, i originally thought of similar to your second logic, as my design basis. Oracle process generates the xml file in output directory which i can get. What i didn't get is how do i "pick them up and merge" using publisher. Also, is there way to do this merging process using pl/sql ? Can you please give little more information on your second approach.
    My original plan of action is that i will create a report set in which i will call oracle seeded report for all 7 payrolls in a sequential manner. Then using the child requests of the report set i will get to 7 xml files generated by seeded oracle process. Then the piece i am not sure of , i will use those 7 files to generate a single xml file having payroll name as tree top for each output. Once single xml is ready, i can easily design a template and register the process to generate output as Excel.This process will not require me to actually change any data or do any calculation. It will only reformatting the feilds we see and abiity to see all 7 payroll at one time rather then entering these numbers manually into an excel to do analysis.
    Please provide your feedback, if you think above plan is not feasible or need corrections.

    Ankur

  • Combining Multiple XML Files into One File

    Hey Everyone,
    So I am creating a program that takes in a bunch of arrays and stores them into a single xml file. I am finding out that my lag time to add these arrays to an xml file is getting worse with each array I put into it. I am placing over 5000 arrays into this file. This isn't working how I wanted it to so I have decided I will have to make multiple arrays to be able to obtain all of my arrays without having to sit here all day. I would like to have a VI that will take all of these xml files and put them together into one xml file. Does anyone have any ideas how this could be done?
    Thanks,
    Dustin

    We need to set a few groundrules for your data:
    1. XML, maybe or maybe not LV schema
    2. You will be generating multiple tests, in your example file it is always a 2D array with 2 rows and 1 column, is this for real or just an artifact of this example.  I was suspecting that you would have multiple length arrays.
    3.  What is the timescale of your data taking?  If I am doing a relatively short, easy to repeat test, I take my chances with failures and gather all the data and write it at the end.  If it is a long, difficult measurement I tend to write in intervals (not necessarily every test, but typically every 5-10 minutes).
    If your data is fixed size, like the example file, you can append your individual arrays into one large 2D array in a couple of different ways and write the single array to the XML file.  This is more compact.  If it is not the same size, I was suggesting that you append only the new XML text to the end of the file as you go along.  At the end you finish up by writing the closing tag.  If there is a problem before that, the XML file is not readable, but easily fixed by simply adding the closing tag.  You can even get fancy by keeping track of the offset of the start of the closing tag and start overwriting the new XML+close tag at that point.  This means the file is readable even during the intermediate steps, but you are not writing the whole thing.
    I can help with an example or two once you specify the data requirements a little more.

  • Generate multiple XML files from one Invoices file in AR Selected Invoices

    I have converted our Oracle EBS 11i Selected Invoice RAXINV.rdf to XML and created a template for XML Bursting. I'm bursting fine at the:
    /ZRAXINV/LIST_G_ORDER_BY/G_ORDER_BY/LIST_G_CF_NO/G_CF_NO. My question is since I'm writing out my pdf output invoices to the filesystem on Sharepoint; I also need to archive the XML part of each invoice broken down by the same group as .//LIST_G_CF_NO/G_CF_NO. When I convert the rdf to XML it produces one XML file from which I created the templates.
    My requirement is to archive both the individual invoices from the templates and the corresponding XML pieces on Sharepoint so that we will be able to search and link the xml to the pdf written out to the filesystem on Sharepoint.
    Any idea how should go about this requirement will be much appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Leo

    So how does it take this file
    file>

    <address>678 Main</address>
    <phone>972-213-3435</phone>
    </statement>
    </file>
    and create these three different one?
    1.)
    <statement>
    <name>John Dow </name>
    <address>123 Main</address>
    <phone>972-213-3434</phone>
    </statement>
    2.)
    <statement>
    <name>Jane Dow </name>

    <name>Marry Dow </name>
    <address>678 Main</address>
    <phone>972-213-3435</phone>

    Is it not going to just grab each element after the file tag? I'm just confused about that.

  • How to import multiple XML files into one inDesign document without copy/paste ?

    I use InDesign CS6, and I have several XML files with the same structure. Only the data are different.
    I created  an Indesign layout with some tagged placeholder frames on merge mode, for automated layout.
    Today for each XML file I have to create a new InDesign document to import the XML. Everything works fine. Then in order to have all Indesign layouts one after the other into a single Indesign layout, I have to use the copy/paste function.
    I mean for example, copy the contents of all documents to the first one. Or add pages of other documents to the first one, then delete spaces between each page.
    So my question is the following:
    How to repeat this process without copy/paste function, knowing that the
    number of XML files could be unknown.
    Thank you very much for your answer.

    Yes, effectively I would like to catalogue the files into one collection so i can save as one PDF and Print as one.:)
    I know I could save each AI as a pdf them then merge the pdf's together in acrobat, but I have nearly 100 files so would feel more comfortable seeing them all together before print / saving.
    My concern is that if I insert them in Ai, will the file resolution reduce? and will the ai still be editable and would it update the indesign file?
    Thanks for the quick reply

  • Splitting of a CSV File with Multiple Records into Multiple XML File

    Dear All,
    <b> I am doing a Scenario of CSV to XML Files. I am using BPM for the same. My incoming CSV File has got multiple records. I want to break this Multiple records into Multiple XML Files having one record each.</b>
    Can someone suggest how can I break this rather Split this into Multiple XML Files.
    Is Multimapping absoltely necesaary for this. Can't we do this without Multimapping. Can we have some workaround in the FCC parameters that we use in the Integration Directory.
    Kindly reply ASAP. Thanks a lot to all in anticipation.
    Pls Help.
    Best Regards
    Chakra and Somnath

    Dear All,
    I am trying to do the Multimapping, and have 0....unbounded also. Someways it is not working.
    <b>
    Smitha please tell me one thing...Assigning the Recordsets per Message to 1, does it mean that it will write multiple XML Files as I want.</b>
    Also I am usinf Set to Read only. So once the File is read it becomes RA from A. Then will it write the other Records.
    I have to use a BPM because there are certain dependencies that are there for the entire Process Flow. I cannot do without a BPM.
    Awaiting a reply. Thanks a lot in anticipation.

  • Is there any way to upload Tariff Code (with multiple XML files) from application server?

    Hi All,
    Is there any way to upload Tariff Code (with multiple XML files) from application server?. Its urgent.
    Regards,
    Jatin

    Hi Jatin,
    Yes, of course you can upload multiple files for tariff codes.
    This can be done by the below path:-
    SAP GTS Cockpit(tcode-/sapsll/menu_legal)-->Customs Management-->Classification-->Classification Master Data-->Upload Tariff Code Numbers from XML file(tocde- /SAPSLL/LLNS_UPL101).
    In the above area after browsing and choosing the first file, please select multiple check box to choose more files as well. Then you can further select your application server and upload all those files in one go.
    PS:- Although, we have an option to upload multiple such files but actually we should avoid multiple file uploads due to various reasons. Hence, please take utmost care during such procedure.
    Regards,

  • HR - XI - External System: one IDOC to multiple XML Files

    Hi,
    I have a scenario where I need, out of one HRMD_A07 IDOC send multiple XML files:
    The IDOC and the XML files can the Master data for many employee (IDOC has max of 200 as of SAP, external system, max of 1000).
    The IDOC will be generated with change pointers with all the needed filters (I can add/remove if needed).
    My goal is to generate 3 types of XML files:
    - 1 for the persons (containing basic info like name, firstname, persnr,etc)
    - 1 for the various unit (with basic info of unit like number, description & name)
    - 1 for the links between persons and units (this person is linked with that unit)
    The structures of the 3 XML files are know and can be imported via XSD definition.
    Do I need to use BPM for doing so or is there a way to do that with simple mapping?
    If BPM is needed, as I new to that, if you have a link to a begginer guide, fell free to send it
    Cheers,
    greg

    hi,
      For your scenario there is no need of BPM.
      In message mapping select the message tag.
      In the target add 3 message types.
      Just map the fields.Go to Interface mapping add the 3 message in the target.
      Get the mapping.
      In ID sender agreement,Receiver Determination is same.
      In Interface Determination select extended.Get the mapping.
      Create 3 Receiver agreement for each Receiver.

  • Multiple log4j.xml files for single application.

    Hi All,
    How to use multiple log4j.xml files for single application?
    I do have a pluggable application modules. ie, If I add a jar I will get some functionalities. Like that i do have many jars.
    Log4j.xml also will be present in that jar only. So if I add multiple jar files like this, I will get multiple log4j.xml files. What should I do?

    Each logger can have its own file I think. Check the log4j documentation.

    Hi,
    To convert multiple xml files into a single file, you will have to perform a N:1 mapping.
    The following tutorials are available on SAP to help you understand BPM and also to collect multiple XML messages so that they can be mapped into a single message. Check them out,

    Anybody please explain on this topic.
    Thanks

    Hi all
    Can we have more than one struts-config.xml files in
    one project developed using struts.
    yes it is possible
    If so what is purpose and how to do this.
    it is use for odular application so developer won't share a single configureation file.. as you know struts-config.xml is defined on the web.xml
    like this:
    <servlet>
    <servlet-name>mybank</servlet-name>
    <servlet-class>org.apache.struts.action.ActionServlet
    </servlet-class>
    <init-param>

    <param-value>/WEB-INF/struts-config.xml</param-value>
    </init-param>
    <init-param>
    <param-name>config/module1</param-name>
    <param-value>
    /WEB-INF/struts-module1-config.xml
    </param-value>
    </init-param>
    </servlet>
