Multiplexer prep error with audio

I am trying to burn a DVD and when I click 'burn' the message:
multiplexer prep error pops up saying that there is not enough free disk for encoding the remaining assets. When I remove the motion (audio) I am able to burn the DVD, but would like the music as well. My project is showing that it is only 15:35 minutes long.
Another question: I would like to be able to burn a DVD from a DVD - how do I do this? Can I do this?

How much free space on your hard drive? You should have 20GB+ free.

SOMEONE PLEASE HELP! I am desperate..."error with audio configuration"

I have had a flurry of problems that are related in another link, about drives.
I had to complete restore my library and import back each of my songs individually, which was successful. I also needed to install the new iTunes 7.7
However, when I launched iTunes only about a minute later, a message popped up saying that "iTunes has detected a problem with your audio configuration. Audio/Video playback may not operate properly." And now, NONE of my songs or videos will play.
PLEASE HELP! I've spent the past 2 days trying to fix a lot of things, and all of them seemed solved until this problem. I'm leaving in 7 HOURS! So please, help is appreciated.

Go into your Control panel, and launch the "Sounds and Audio Devices" control panel. Click on the "Audio" tab.

Been there, done that. Wish they'd set the default to "deploy all"...Frustrating to use the wizard, and then have to go back in and manually edit everything to set it to "deploy all".

Multiplexer Prep Error

When I attempt to burn a DVD project I get an error "Not enough free disc space..." I only have 1- 28minute movie in iDVD, how can I be out of space. I also have 1- 50 minute movie in iMovie, does this effect the free space? Where or how can I find out the amount of space availible? thank You

I would get and external hard drive and keep all your media files on that.
The project file should be on your hard drive, but all the associated media, which is what takes up all the space, should be on the external drive.
External firewire drives are really necessary if you want to make long movies. Check for sales, and make sure you get a firewire drive and not a USB (it's faster).

Need Old Version of Firmware - Suspected Errors with 1.11

Problem solved for me. Found .0.03 firmware available from link at nomadness.net (http://www.nomadness.net/modules.php...rticle&sid=980). No longer experiencing errors with audio format not supported.

I get the following error message when trying to publish a photo album with audio from iWeb to Mobileme. I've checked my account and I have plenty of available space on Mobileme and have logged in there.

First see if you can publish your site to a folder on your hard drive. You can select the folder by clicking on the site's folder in iWeb and using the Publish To: menu.
If that's successful try the following:
delete the iWeb preference files, com.apple.iWeb.plist and com.apple.iWeb.plist.lockfile, that resides in your Home() /Library/Preferences folder.
go to your Home()/Library/Caches/com.apple.iWeb folder and delete its contents.

Everything works beautifully on the iPad through Preview, and validates through iTunes Producer up until the attempted upload. Today I received the same error that you all have been discussing. I tried selecting the DRM
and this did not work for me, though I'm glad it did for some. Here's what I did as a work-around. . .
Since iBooks Author did not have a problem with Videos, I simply used one of my video programs, ScreenFlow to turn the audio into a video file m4v. I added an image and extended the length or timing of the image to span the length of the audio file. Then exported as an .mov. I then opened QuickTime and opened the file and exported the file to iTunes.
You can use iMovie, Camtasia or any other progam that will allow you to export the audio as a movie file. Does this make sense? I hope this helps, at least in the short-term.

Help with "Error syncing Audio and Midi" message. How to fix?

I'm running Logic Pro 7.1 on a G5 Dual 2.5 PowerMac. My audio interface is a Digidisign Digi002R, and my MIDI interface is a MOTU Fastlane. Up until a few days ago everything was working fine. I didn't install any new software or anything.
All of a sudden in any Logic session I open (new or saved) I get all kinds of artifacts that sound like they're associated with sample rate problems.
True to form, on playback after 4 or 5 seconds a message comes up telling me that there is an error syncing audio and midi. It tells me that a sample rate of 88209, or 88213, or 88207 (each time it's different) was detected, and that there is a conflict between Logic and my external device.
My Digi002R is set to 44.1, and Logic is set to 44.1 as well. I have no idea where this problem came from.
The only thing I do know is that I've been using the Peachtree Press Apple Pro Training Series to study for my Level 1 Logic certification. it comes with a CD with Logic sessions to use with the text. The CD comes with a Logic Epress Demo but I didn't download that as I've already got Logic Pro. I dragged those session files to my desktop, and the problem occured for the first time when iopened up that first session from the CD. After that, every single session has this problem and I have no idea how to fix it.
Sorry for the incredibly long message, but can anybody help?

Thanks. I appreciate the help, but I've tried all of that. I just don't get it. I've unplugged everything, I've shut down, powered down, relaunched everything a dozen times and the problem doesn't go away. I know that the problem is with Logic because the interface works perfectly fnie with everything else, from Pro Tools to iTunes.
I'm having Logic Pro 7.2 shipped to me so I'm hoping that installing that will reset everything, but until then I can't do anything in Logic.
Anybody ever encounter anything like this?

maybe your spdif default properties, in the supported format tab, options there are configured too high for your revceiver???
is there an error code on your receiver? if there is an error code check the troubleshooting section in the manual your receiver came with.
you could also try in windows media center, go to the tasks->settings and click windows media center setup->setup your speakers for 5.1 and hit the test button..

Creative Zen V Plus - Seeking your help with "Audio format is not supported" error

I have a problem with my Creative Zen V Plus and am looking for someone to do a quick test to help me. I listen to a lot of MP3 podcasts, so I often rewind, fast forward or set bookmarks inside tracks. When I do those operations in some tracks, I get the error ?Audio format is not supported? when I ?land on certain places in a track (and I am able to reproduce the problem, which happens always at the same place in a particular track).
Here is what I mean by ?land?. For instance, there is a particular track (see the mp3 link below) that whenever I rewind to exactly 35 min 37 seconds, I get the error ?Audio format is not supported? and playback is stopped. If I fast forward to exactly 35 min 37 seconds, I also get the error. If I set a bookmark to exactly 35 min 37 seconds and I then go to that bookmark, I also get the error. But I don?t get the error if I play the track normally without any rewinding or fast forwarding: the track is played and passes the 35 min 37 seconds mark without any error.
Creative Labs customer support wants me to return my player for repair, but I am not sure if the problem is with my player or if the problem would also be present on other Zen V Plus, thus my asking for your help.
I would appreciate if someone of you could try one of my problematic tracks on their player. Here is what you could do to help me:
1- Download and transfer to your Zen V Plus player the following audio file (it'ss a technology podcast and don?t worry, it'ss virus-free, it comes from CNET):

2- Go to the 35 min and 37 seconds mark, press PAUSE and set a bookmark there.
3- Go into the Bookmarks menu and go to the bookmark you just set.
4- Do you see the error ?Audio format is not supported?, or the audio plays just fine? If the audio plays just fine, could you tell me what are the first words you hear
when going to that bookmark, just so that I am sure we are indeed doing the same test on each of our side?
5- What firmware version is your player at ?

Mush/Audio Errors with MacMini (2012) connected via Firewire with Motu 828mk3

Hi,
just bought a Mac Mini (actual model) and wanted to connect my Motu 828 mk3 via Firewire for audio recording. BUT, via FW there are audio errors/mush (sounds like electrical mush) in all the audio outputs. Via USB its all o.k. ! The Motu works fine with an 2008 MacBook Pro on Firewire!
Has anyone the same problem with audio interfaces on macs using firewire, especially on the actual Mac mini? Is it a problem of the Mac (Mini) Firewire port?
The Mac Mini has installed the latest Motu drivers and the latest version of OS X Lion. The problem exists in all audio applications (Cubase, AudioDesk, Wavelab, even iTunes).

The problem stems from the Mac (in my case Mac Mini Server 2011).
Apparently, as I read in various forums looking for Mac and Logic, the new models of Mac Mini (2011) have lowered the voltage Firewire.
I have the same problem with my new Track-16.
I can only work fine with USB connection.
Either we change the computer model, or users of Mac Mini (2011) we can forget a Firewire connection powerful and efficient.
Only remains for me try to connect to an external HD Motu firewire 800 which is connected to the Mac Mini previously. I guess the external HD, to be powered via AC, will have enough voltage to the Motu.

Audio error with garageband and external usb audio interface

I am using Garageband 2.0.3. under ios 8.0.2 on my iPad 3 and via camera adapter a USB audio interface Focusrite Scarlett 2i4 or a Presonus iTwo.
When I start Garageband, it works well, the audio interfaces are recognized and I can record a track.
As soon as I switch from instrumtent to track view, the audio path is completely disturbed and all I can hear is some noise from the speaker.
Then I have to unplug the usb cable and plug it in again. Then audio works until I switch back to the instrument menu.
When I use the headphone output only there is no problem with Garageband and everything works fine.
Other applications audio applications don't show any error with each of the two audio interfaces.

I have this exact issue. However, I tried the Loopy app after after GB crashed and received an error message saying that core audio is not available. Rebooting resolves but the problem repeats. Any suggestions as to fixes? Btw; I have no such problem with Ipad 2 and ios 7.

I cant get logic running smoothly, with only ultrabeat and a few plug ins opened the trouble starts with 'error synchronizing audio to midi"
I get pops and clicks and delays in the sound when i use logic, i also have the random shutdown problem and the cpu whine.

I use an RME Fireface 400, but the trouble also occurs with the onboard soundcard.

Have you tried increasing your audio buffer size within Logic?
Have you installed Pro Apps tool for Logic?
Have you got the latest drivers and firmware installed for your Fireface 400?
It would help if you included in your forum profile the specification of your Mac as well!

"Invalid file" error playing PSE Slide show with audio through TV via DVD...

I have just made a slide show with audio and burned it to CD using photoshop elements....it will play on my laptop but when I try to play it through the TV via a DVD it tells me that the file is invalid.

VCD is an old format that is largely deprecated these days. Fewer and fewer devices understand it. If you have a burner, try outputting your slideshow as a wmv file and using whatever else you have to burn it to a dvd. Even windows movie maker or something like that.
