Multiprovider error

Hi all,
I am creating a Multi Provider (Z_M05) on top of a Cube (say Z_C05).
While activating it it gives error message " Compounding Consistency of the Info Object xxxx not ensured".
Can anyone suggest what could be done to solve this issue.

Hi Neelima,
As said by you, I have used the button "identify chars" , selected/ticked the chars, and then clicked on the "Infoobject with hand symbol". For most of the Info Objects the issue is resolved. For one info Object 0COSTCENTER the issue still remains.
For this Info Object ( 0COSTCENTER ) after clicking on the "Info Object Hand symbol" the tick marks disappear, and gives message saying " A proposal has been created for the current info object.When clicked on ok and try to activate the Info Object, gives error message "Compounding consistency for the Info Object 0COSTCENTER not ensured.
only for this Info Object 0Costcenter, it keeps giving compounding consistency error message.
Please suggest what could be done for this.

Error when running report: "Error in aggregate table for InfoCube"

Hi Experts
We had a temporary error, which I would like to find the root cause for.
We where running a Workbook which is based on a multiprovider. For a short period of time (around 10 minuts) we got the following error when we executed the workbook based on this multiprovider:
"Error in aggregate table for InfoCube"
There where no loads or aggregates rolling up on the cubes in the multiprovider.
I see no short dumps as well in ST22.
Have anybody seen this error before, and how can I trace how this error occured?

Hi Sneha,
I will Suggest u to do some RSRV tests.
Go to transaction RSRV. There you will find test for aggregates. Just Perform them and see whether you get any discrepencies.

Database error occured

Hi,
when i try to open my webi report,tis throwing this message after i execute giving my prompt information:
"a database error occured:the database error text is - Error in MDDATASETBW.GetCellData.See RFC trace file or
SAP system log fro more details (WIS 10901) "
i checked with rfc trace ... it says error in connection and "RFCIO_ERROR_SYSERROR in abrfcpic.c"
likewise in ssytem log ,it says network prb ????
plz help me out with this .wat is the exact prb ??

It is BO 2008.my webi report has prompts,which are actually based from the BI query and not prompts created here in the
webi report.when the combinations of prompt values given has data,in the backend BI system,the report runs fine,if
no data is available in BI multiprovider,error message shoots up.this is happening both in dev and prd systems.

Authorization Error (Same Infobject being used in Multiple infoproviders)

Hi Gurus,
We are encountering authorization issues when an auth relevant object is being used in multiple infoproviders in BI-7.
We have made a custom object Auth relevant and this is being used in Multiprovider A. The reports are executed sucessfully from this multiprovider. However the same custom object is being used in Multiprovider B and the reports off of this multiprovider errors with 'No Authorization'. We need Authorization of this object to work only for Multiprovider A and we do not need this authorization in Multiprovider B. Is there a settings to bypass the Auth Check of this object in Multiprovider B.
Please Advise.

Currently there is no EXCLUDE option in analysis authorizations,else it would have made life easy ,SAP is deemed to include this in future releases ..
So might want to try below -
create 2 AUTH objects - RSECADMIN.
say -
Authorization object - A
Select Multiprovider - X and select infoobject -x which you need authorization.
Authorization object - B
Select Multiprovider - Y and DONT select infoobject - x
Assign both the Authorization objects to the user in RSECADMIN.
execute the query.

VC using BW3.0 via XMLA and Multicube

Hi,
i have connected a BW3.0 to Visual Composer (7.0) by using xmla connector. The connection works fine and i can create a query in BI integration wizard. But i get an error message when i want to use a multiprovider:"Error - 11021 Cannot create the OLAP data service. Cannot add OLAP data service to iview" Does VC support multicubes on BW3.0? If, yes, do you know this error message?

the multicubes are supported by xmla. several reasons can cause this error:
connection timed out because server compiling or large resultset;
mandatory variable defined;
use transaction mdxtest to run a sample mdx against this multicube. if successful, run the same mdx with VC MDX Editor. that should give you an idea where could be wrong.

SAPKW70016 bugs with reference characteristics and attributes

Hi, experts!
I have very big problem.
When we've imported SAP BW SP 16 somthing went wrong as of reference characteristic and attributes.
1) If InfoSet contains reference characteristic, it can't be activated. (Error message RSO404)
2) If transformation rule is "read master data" and source characteristic contain compounded characteristic wiht same attribute as target field, and componded characteristic is above lexicographical then source characteristic. When you save this transformation this source field is removed from transformation rules? transformation can't be activated!!!
3) When you use in compounded characteristics which are reference characteristic and you want to use this source characteristic in rule "read master data" you'll get dump.
Now about reason and trials to resolve this problems.
2) The reason is incorrect sorting and reading internal tables with characters in source fields in transformation with attribute target field. Problem is resolved with using rule "ABAP", FM "RSAU_READ_MASTER_DATA".
3) and 1) The reason is program look for name REFERENCE character in table in field BASE characteristics names. Problem was resolved only fo happen 3) with disable "better" functionality "lookup_master_data" (note 1092539).
Problem 1) is still open...
What can I do?

for all the infoobjects which r present in the multiprovider

HI,
Did you selected that infoobject under identify charactristic or select keyfigure in the multiprovider?
If not select the check for that InfoObject depend on charactristic or keyfigure and then try to activate.

Error while executing BEx query made on Multiprovider having Virtual cube

Hi All,
We are getting an error message while executing a BEX query made on Multiprovide which consist of a Virtual Infocube infocube which extracts data from APO Live Cache, the error which we get is as below
''Error Reading the data of the infoprovider ZSS_R054
Error in Substep
Errors have occured while extracting data from datasource 9A_E2E_FC2
Errors occured during parallel processing of query 4, RC:3
Error while reading data; navigation is possible''
And also when tried to execute from RSRT , it gets executed in debug mode in TRY and CATCHE
Please let us know if anyone faced a similar situation or can suggest me what to do.

Try RSRV transaction, Select All Elementary Tests, Select query, now drag both these items on the right hand pane, select your query from this popup. and execute.

Error when running a query against Multiprovider using 0FIGL_VC1

Hi SAP Gurus,
I'm creating a MultiProvider for FI-GL.It has 2 Cubes.one is 0FIGL_VC1 (Virtual Cube) and other one is Customised Cube.When I run Query against this MultiProvider with the combination of basic cubes key figures,I'm getting an error
'Abort system error in Program SAPLRSDRC and Form RSDRC/Form DISPATCHER/RECEIV '
then system gets disconnected from the Server .
Please give me the solution to fix it & I'll assign the points .

Hello Suman,
Check the table rszglobv for this variable - ZCONLEH.
If it is available there then see which infoobject it belongs to and then look for that in the query designer. May be resaving the query solves the issue.
If the variable is not available in the table, then it seems that the variable is lost and you might have to recreate it for keeping the semantics of the query the same as it was before the upgrade.

Message no R7645 error while activating multiprovider

Hi,
When I activate my multiprovider I get some errors like as follows:
"Assignments for InfoObject 0SUBTOTAL_1 have not yet been maintained -> Long text
Assignments for InfoObject 0DENOMINTR have not yet been maintained -> Long text"
like this some 12 errors I'm getting.
Also the other errors like:
"Please define at least one key figure", Even though there are key figures in key figure folder.
and
"Higher-level InfoObject 0PLANT__0COUNTRY for InfoObject 0PLANT__0COUNTY_CDE is not contained"
I don't know how to solve these errors. I'm using BI 7.2 version.
Also I've verified the post for the similar error. But I couldn't find characteristics tab instead I've "identify characteristics tab" in my BW1. I've check marked in infoproviders for infoobjects tab when I'm in change mode.
Plz tell me how to solve these errors.

Inconsistencies were found when checking MultiProvider ZMP_DEMO

"Authorization error" while accessing Multiprovider in Analysis for excel tool

Hi,
We are using "Analysis for excel" 1.4 version. My users are executing all queries out of any MP with out any issue. But while accessing Multi Provider in "Analysis for excel" tool they are geeting "Authorization" error. Any suggestions please.

Hi Deepa,
I'm facing the same problem, which basically is no issue but expected behaviour?!
Reason: When allowing access on Multiproviders via queries you probably restrict the data selection with authorization variables, where users have to select characteristics they are allowed to see.
In that way, you prevent that users can see data for which they are not authorized.
Finally, if the direct selection via Multiprovider was allowed without any restriction, your whole authorization concept would be for the birds :-)
In my case, I wanted to give users just an overview of the "last update dates" of several infocubes:
=SAPGetSourceInfo("DS_1"; "DataSourceName")
=SAPGetSourceInfo("DS_1"; "LastDataUpdate")
(... we all know that Multis can display only the oldest load date of any of all Cubes below....)
I even deleted the cross-tabs, and kept only the reference to the DS_x ... But still, when users try to refresh the data sources they are not even allowed to select pure technical Cube Information :-/

Getting Runtime error while executing Query on Multiprovider

Hi ALL,
When i m executing a query on multiprovider it is giving me runtime error as:
*Error Reading the data of the infoprovider
An Exception with the type CX_SY_ARITHMATIC_OVERFLOW occured
overflow in the operation.*
I ran this query today morning also it ran successfully, now it is giving this error.
Please help me.

Error while saving the MP: MultiProvider ZQM_M01 was not yet locked

Hi,
We are getting the below error message while try to save the MultiProvider.
MultiProvider ZQM_M01 was not yet locked
There are 3 basic cubes in MP. Recently we have upgraded 3.1 to BI 7.0.

Query syntax error after multiprovider change

Hi everyone,
I removed key figures from a multicube, changed a query on top afterwards and saved it. The key figures are no longer in the key figure list of the query in the Query designer, and are no longer used in any place within the query.
Now, I'm getting a syntax error on query execution, since the compiled query still contains a reference to the old key figures. Regeneration via RSRT or saving under a new name doesn't work, and to delete the generated report I need a developer key.
Any ideas?

thanks for your response.
I did try the "check query" button, it didn't return an error. When executing the query via rsrt, I get a dump due to "Syntax error in program GP48VM7K0MSF08DRO2382A2PSTI ". The program still contains data type references to the removed infoobjects. When checking the program via SE38, you get just that syntax error.
I'm looking for a way to clean these things up. Even when creating a new query on the aggregation level (I was talking about a multiprovider earlier, which is located underneath), the error pops up. I activated all the objects along the way, with no effect.
