Multiprovider Mapping Issue # Values in the query output

Q . I am getting # values for the free chars and no values for some of the KPIs
I have created this report on top of a multiprovider which has a huge number of cubes ( exceeding 10 ) , four DSOs and a couple of infosets , and the query which i am creating should get values from 3 cubes only .
1.I have placed Global Restrictions ( Char Restrictions ) on top of the query with 3 cubes
2.had restricted the KPIs with the relevent infoproviders .
3.I have mapped all the chars and key figures used in this query with relevent infoprovider restrictions
But Still when i execute the Query i see the following formatt of my Output

Please provide me input for why i am getting this kind of out put with Not assigned values and indifferent values for KPIs and what should be done to solve this problem .

You mention that there are several InfoProviders underlying your MultiProvider. Check the characteristics and free chars you are using in your query - all of these should be present in all the underlying InfoProviders. For example, if you are using 0COMP_CODE in your query, and 0COMP_CODE is not present in one of the underlying DSOs, then they Key Figure values coming from that DSO will be shown against # (Not Assigned) value for 0COMP_CODE.
Easy way to find out - go to LISTCUBE and enter your MP name. Display all the chars and free chars that are present in your query. Also display the INFOPROVIDER field. Look at the data, and see if there are any characteristics that are blank for all records for any particular InfoProvider. If you find any such chars, then that may be the reason behind your problem.

Issue with Saving the Query output data in Excel format

Hi,
Recnetly we had upgraded from 4.6c to ECC 6.0.
In ECc 6.0 environment, when user try to export the query output , we are getting only XML option to save the data.
But user want to save the data in EXcel format, he was able to do that in 4.6C.
pleas eprovide some inputs, on this issue.

I cannot for the life of me imagine, why a link to a post in the 'Business One Forum' where one uses ODBC to transfer query-data to MicroSoft Excel is of relevance to the OPs question, even if the same is not a security issue.
Never mind. [note 40155|https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/402155] deals with various symptoms in the ALV-Excel combination as as of release 4.6C. There are various others, mostly in components BC-SRV-ALV and BC-ABA-LI - also: I remember that when we upgraded from 4.5B to 4.7C there was an issue with Excel-templates -> the solution was in the release notes somewhere. So, in addition to SMP you might want to check the release notes and/or upgrade guide for solutions.
And yes, moderators ... this is not a security issue, this should go to ECC-Applications/Upgrade.

Result Row in the query output

Hi,
If I restrict a characteristic by hierarchy then I cant have the result row displayed. If the hierarchy active is removed then the result row gets displayed. All characteristics are marked to show the result row.
This characteristic is Account Number. If in the query definition I remove the restriction on account numbers and just select hierarchy active and the required hierarchy in the properties then I get the result row in the output. But now it also displays all the unassigned account numbers in a separate node Not Assigned Account Number (s).
I cant even restrict it in the output with hierarchy active selected. When I do select filter value in the output the options Include in Selection and exclude from Selection are grayed out and hence cant select it.
Please advice on this issue

I think you misunderstood my issue.
My problem is not that i do not want to see the field. But instead, i do not want to see only the results row in the query output.
I need to have the results to populate a calculation via sumct formula.
My question is, can sumct be populated if i hide/supress RESULT row ?

i have used CMS in SQL 2008 R2. i have added couple of servers in its group. i have executed a query & i need to send the query output in the form of email.
basically query is checking the rows count from couple of user tables in servers.
issue here is how to copy the data that is used by CMS? i need to work on automate the rows count in difft user table in db servers

ERROR displaying in the query output... urgetn

hi experts,
For the amount keyfigures in the query output it displaying ERROR after the amount like ex- 2000 ERROR.
plz let me know how to rectify this..

i have created only two keyfigures EMP_BASIC and EMP_HRA. and in the transformations i have mapped with 0DOC_CURRCY.

Suppress zero rows in the query output.

Dear Experts,
We executed a query. In the output the values are displayed based on a hierarchy on gl account.
But in the output some rows dont have any values i.e 0 value. Still those rows are appearing in the report output.I want to
supress entire row. How to supress the entire row if no value i.e zeros are appearing in the query output.

go to change mode of query
in that set the query properties /go to the query property secreen
in the "Display " tab set the supperssion as "active (all value=0)" and in structure properties select the check box "also use zero suppression for strucure element"

How to replace # in the query output ?

Hi experts,
In the query output and for a particular field in a record if there is no value then it is displaying as '#'.
Can we replace '#' with any text or with any other value ?

hello,
if you display the characteristics as Key u will get as '#'.
You can select as Text,then it will show 'Not Assigned'.

CHAR's value in the query but not in the report??

I loaded master data and crm transaction data from ODS to Cube. The data is in the cube but there is no value in my report when running it. EX: there are some CHARs in my report, I checked those CHARs have value in the query but it shows 'not assign' in my report when I run it. What happen?

whats your source system?
you can use Live office, or query as a webservice if you are getting data from universe
if you're getting data from SAP BI query and you have a java stack on your netweaver then you can get the data directly using sap bi connector in xcelsius.

How to get the max value in the query??

I tried the calculation results as...Maximum,..
But that will pick the maximum value among the avialable values..like
plant1 max 10
plant2 max 20
plant3 max 30
then it will show as..
plant1 max 30
plant2 max 30
...like this...but my case is

plant2 calday1 10

so for each set it need to bring the maximum value...

Execution Time:- 0.01094301 seconds
Returns 2 resultsets

In Pagination, we are using Modified version of SQL Query 3) with ROWNUM as mentioned below :-

a) Instead of like if we use = in the above query it is returning the 2 resultsets (execution time 0.02699282 seconds)
b) Instead of two % in the above query, if use one example REFERENCE like 'KMF22600920%' it is returning the 2 resultsets (execution time 0.03313019 seconds)
Issue:- When using two % in like in the above query i.e. REFERENCE like '%KMF22600920%' AND ROWNUM <= 20 ) , it is going to infinite.
Could you please let us know what is the issue with two % used in like and rownum
5) Modified version of Option1 query (move out the RNUM condition AND RNUM <= 20)

This would be easier to diagnose if there was an explain plan posted for the 'good' and 'bad' queries. Generally speaking using '%' on both sides precludes the use of any indexes.

Using item values in the query

Is there a way I can use item values in the query...?
as an example, something like this

My client gives a requirment like they want to see selected variables in the query output. Like suppose if i am entering Profit center, controlling area, version, caldayas a input on the screen. Now they want to see only Profit center and version on the query result.

But it is not neccessary that we can put something in free char and all. Inspite of that they wanted to select the input variable as per their requirement. They dont want to restrict them in Free char.

Restrict the values in the Query Designer

I want to Restrict PLANT or SALES ORG values in the Query Designer, in the Query, PLANT has selected in the rows and having variable and SALES ORG is display attribute of the PLANT. In this scenario How can we Restrict the values?

You cannot restrict values on the display attributes. Better change it to navigational attribute and check the box as navigational in the cube.
