Multiprovider not showing data from planning cube

Dear experts,
I am using a multiprovider to show actual vs projected balances for financials. Two identical cubes one 0FIGL_C10 and custom cube for FIGL_PROJ. I have done the identification of all objects and am using 0BALANCE and PRJECTION key figures. The problem is I get the balances but i do not get any of the projections in the query. when i run RSRT in debug mode and select Multiprovider Explain option i get the following for projections.
I- PRJECTION: this key figure was excluded for InfoProvider 0FIGL_C10.
The PRJECTION key figure is not a part of 0FIGL_C10 either so not sure why i get this. it looks like its not looking at the projections cube at all to me.
Has anybody experienced this before?

Hi,
Do you have data in FIGL_PROJ cube.
what infoobjects you have in rows ?
what keyfigures you have in columns?
for example account number xxxx , fiscal period 01 have a projection value in FIGL_PROJ cube.
same account number xxxx , fiscal period 01 need rto have balance value in your standard cube.
if you have account number , fiscal period in rows and your balance and projection value in columns you get the output.
check the definition of your query .

Automatically trigger the event to load data from Planning cube to Standard Cube

Hello,
We have a below set up in our system..
1. A Planning BEx query using which user makes certain entries and writes back data to the planning cube.
2. An actual reporting cube which gets data from the planning cube above.
Now, what we want to do is to automate the data load from Planning cube to Reporting cube.
This involves 2 things..
1. Change the setting " Change real time load behaviour " of the planing cube to Planning.
2. Trigger the DTP which loads data from Planning cube to reporting cube.
We want to automate the above two steps...
I have tried few things to achieve the same..
1. Created an event in SM64,
2. In the Planning cube "Manage" Screen, clicked on "Subsequent Processing" and provided the event details. ( Not sure if its the correct place to provide the event detail ).
3. Wrote a ABAP program which changes the setting of the planning cube ( " Change real time load behaviour " to Loading )
4. Created a process chain, where we have used the event as a start variant, used the ABAP program as a next step, DTP run as the last step..
This i hoped, would trigger the event as soon as a new request comes and sits in planning cube, which in turn would trigger the process chain which would load the data from Planning cube to reporting cube..
This is not working. I dont think the event is triggering, and even if does i am not sure whether it will start the process chain automatically. Any ideas please ?

PLD Report does not show data from Query

Hello,
SAP b1 9.0 PL08 on MSSQL 2008 and I get data on the query, but when the PLD prints, it shows nothing. Is there a way to filter the data that the PLD shows? Does PLD have its own SQL script it uses b/c its not showing data from the query.

Data from planning cube to TEXT FILE IN directories of BW

hi all
i have 2 transactional planning cubes in BW. the data in these cubes in bw needs to be uploaded monthly in to a single text file so that APO system can access the data for some purpose.
my question is how to upload the data from transactional cubes to the text file, which is more detailed. is that use ful to construct a ODS or CUBE(basic) on top of the transactional cubes.
if i keep the file in BW directory whethere APO can access that.?..
please help me out

Hi,
You could create a multicube over your 2 transactional cubes and extract your data with a query on the multicube.
Make sure you restrict 0REQUID 'request id' using 0S_RQMRC 'most current data' to be sure you extract the most recently planned data.
No need to convert the transactional cubes to basic cubes.
To download the query I think you have to use the reporting agent of the broadcaster.

Report is not getting data from Remote cube thru Multi Provider

Hi SAPians
I ve strucked up with a Problem in The Reconciliation Report in BW3.5
The Report was built on a Multi Provider, which was created on Basic and Remote Cubes .
Both cubes have same Data Source and all the Objects were in Active version and found good.
When I m executing the Report ,I m only getting the data from the Basic cube and no data is coming from Remote Cube.
I ve checked the char " 0Infoprov " in Multi Provider and It was assigned with the both the cubes.
What might be the problem
Please help me in this regard

Hi
In the Reconciliation multiprovider, include 0INFOPROVIDER = Remote cube.
If data still not coming, you can be sure connectivity with Source system of the Remote cube is the issue
Check with basis to solve the connectivity issue.
Ensure Remote cube is consistent

Infospke not pulling data from the cube

Hi,
Though there is data in the cube ,when I say start extraction the infospoke is pulling zero records .But I see a file created but I am not able to see the data.In the monitor it says 0 record extracted.
I have done this first time in the new upgrade system where I changed the server name.

Check out the layout definition(Data column) for the corresponding planning level and also you can check the <b>planning area</b> value whether it corresponds to your cube name ..
Also make a cross check with the <b>listcube</b> for your corresponding restriction which you have made in planning level..

SSRS pulls data from ESSBASE cube, data not showing

Dear Experts,
We are connecting SSRS 2012 to Essbase 11.1.3 to pull data from the cube, and having some issues with some members data not showing in the query designer and report, while some have no problem. And we couldn't find a pattern on which members won't show. We are wondering if this is a known issue and if there is a way to solve the problem.

1 Check whether you have made the joins properly.
2 Check data at multiprovider level .
3 is data available for reporting in both the cubes

How to write data from planning folder into a planning cube in BPS

Hi All,
I have an issue in writing data from planning folder to planning cube.
I updated the excel sheet in planning folder in UPSPL tcode.
After clicking on save button in the excel sheet the data did not get updated into the cube.
I set the real time cube to planning mode.
Please let me know if there are any settings to save the data to cube or how can it be done.

Don't you find a yellow request in the cube administration transaction ? What happened if you set it to green ?

Reading aggregated data from a cube/multiprovider

Hi BI people
My project is currently looking for a functionmodule that reads aggregated data from a cube/multiprovider.
I already have a functionmodule that reads data from a cube and returns it in a flat format. I have debugged this, but have not found any flags that can enable the OLAP functionality needed to perform the aggregation. The functionmodule is "RSDRI_INFOPROV_READ_RFC".
The situation is that I need to apply the aggregation logic of a profit center hierrarchy to the data I read from RSDRI_INFOPROV_READ_RFC, this means manually replicating the the OLAP engine functionality (keyfigure aggregation exception, ect.) and this is not an option with the available time/budget.
Please have a look at the example below:
Say that I have a profit center hierarchy as displayed below (with postable nodes).
PC1 - $10
|---- PC2 - $30
|---- PC3 - $20
The data I'm getting back from the functionmodule RSDRI_INFOPROV_READ_RFC looks like this:
PC1 $10
PC2 $30
PC3 $20
But I need the data aggregated. An aggregation utilizing the hierarchy above will make the data look like this:
PC1 $60
PC2 $30
PC3 $20
Instead of building an aggregation program, it would be usefull if it was possible to extract aggregated data.
Any comments appreciated.

The problem is that I need a functionmodule that can apply the OLAP aggregation for a hierarchy to the data outpu from RSDRI_INFOPROV_READ_RFC.
... or the best alternative would be if there were a fm/class that could provide me with the hierarchy aggregation of the data.

Report to display (actuals data from one cube and plan from another)

Hi Gurus,
         I have a requirement in reporting to display actual data from one cube and plan data from a different one.
        The example below might give a clear picture of the requirement.
rows has key figures and columns = months
Jan | Feb | Mar | Apr | May | Jun ...   ....
GrossSales
Net Sales
Now if I run the report for Current month (Apr), then for the months of (Jan, Feb and Mar) i need to get the data from CUBE1   and for the remaining months (Apr thru Dec) from CUBE2.
Similarly when i run the report next month(may),
then (data for Jan, Feb, Mar, Apr from CUBE1)
and ( May thru Dec from CUBE2)
Any suggestions.

     We alreadey have a multi provider which includes
FinDat Cube(CUBE1) for actuals and Comm.Goals cube (CUBE2) for plan.
So you suggest that we have two versions of key figure for actual and plan.
ie. each KF will have two versions.
actuals = (version 10, FiscPer<curr.mnth, key figure, acutals cube)
Plan = (version 20, FiscPer>=curr.mnth, key figure, comm.goals cube)
eg:
Jan | Feb | Mar | Apr | May | Jun ...
GrossSales(Act)
GrossSlaes(Plan)
Net Sales(Acutal)
Net Sales(Plan)
Correct me if I am wrong.
the report has a lot of key figures, having two versions for each kf will be confusing.
the user would like to see

SSAS cube is not showing data

Hi All,
I have build a cube in ssas 2008. The cube processes successfully. but wheni browse the cube it does not show data.
I check it in dsv Fact table--> Explore data --> it displays data. But i cannot see the data when i browse the cube.
I have 3 cubes in one solution, there i also processed the complete solution. There is no problem with other cubes except for this one.
I have only dragged the measure and not the dimension. hence i do not think there can be any relationship issue.
Can anybody please suggest??

Hi Chaitali,
Check if the CALCULATE; command is present in the Scripts/Calculations tab.
Ensure that you specify the relationship between dimensions and measure groups.
Set any related dimension UnknownMember properties to Visible.

Issues with Writing back data to Planning Cube After adding a new characterstic

Hello,
We have two cubes and a MP on top of it. ( Reporting Cube and Planning Cube ). An aggregation layer has also been built and so does a planning BEx query on top of it.
Before Scenario: things were working fine as we were able to write back data to planning cube using the BEx.
After Scenario: We created a new Dimension in the planning cube and added a new characteristic ( lets call it ZX_KEY ) . This Characteristic holds the concatenated values of some of the other characteristics in its master data tables . ( For ex: Account_Customer ID_Country-code_Industry-code ).
This new characteristic is also present in the reporting cube and has been added and transferred to MP.
This new characterstic was added to the planning BEx query as one of the rows and we executed it the analyzer. After entering the required values for all characterstics ( including the newly added ZX_KEY ) and the key figure values, we tried saving it. Now this is where the Analyzer is throwing up this error..

~~Characterstic 'ZX_KEY'; Characterstic value 'R123000000_12_US_TX'~~
~~ Entered values are incorrect:Correct before navigation ~~
The value that we are entering ( R123000000_12_US_TX ) is picked up from the master data table of ZX_KEY by double clicking and selecting it from the fetched values. So i am not sure as to why its throwing up the above error. Request your help on this please.

Think in this way,
To load the data fro any source we need datasource Ok. You can genare Export data source for Cube in APO, then use that datasource for BW extraction, try like this. I think it will work, in my case I'm directly loading data from APO to BW using the DataSource sthat are genaraed on Planning Area.
Why you need to take data from APO cube?. Is there any condition for that?. If it is not mandatory, you can use the dame datasource and load the data to BW, if they have any conditions while loading the data from APO to APO cube, they you try check wherther it is possible in BW or not. If possible then you use DataSource and do the same calculation in BW directly.

Can not find data in virtual cube

Experts,
I can not find data in virtual cube with services function module (copying Z_RS_BCT_FIGL_DATA_GET_VC10 from RS_BCT_FIGL_DATA_GET_VC10).The standard cube is maintained with data.
Can anybody tell me what could be the reasons the data is coming through Virtua cube.

Hi,
i_basic_infoprov is the name of the provider where the data is selected from. This must be a basic provider that contains data. What I meant was, create a copy of fm RS_BCT_FIGL_DATA_GET_VC,1 maybe as Z_BCT_FIGL_DATA_GET_VC1, and enter the name of this fm in the properties of your virtual cube. For that fm it might also be a good idea to enter a default value for i_infoprov. And this should be the name of your virtual cube.
