Multiselect list problem with listmanager
Hi,
I have created a page .Details are given below:
Workspace :dkubicek
Username:GUEST
password:apex_demo
Url:http://htmldb.oracle.com/pls/otn/f?p=4550:1:3666012995302162::::FSP_AFTER_LOGIN_URL:\f?p=4000|1|259415672271490||NO|||\
Page no :156
Page name :deptno_ename
Page works this way :
When i select deptno ,ename will be displayed .Now ,when i select another deptno ,ename will get appended with the existing list .
My requirement is:
1)when i select deptno ,Ename should not get appended with earlier deptno's ename .Ex:when i select deptno 10 ,then in ename ,it should display enames of deptno 10 ..Later when i select deptno 20 ,it should show only enames of deptno 20 ...it should not append with enames of deptno 10 ..
2)I want to create a "remove all" button just below "remove" button,same font ,same size .Now when i click on "remove all" button ,all the values in ename list should be removed with out refreshing the page ...
Thanks in advance...
Surya,
don't have access to an APEX 2.2 instance anymore. But I would suppose that the behavior of html_SelectValue is different in 2.2 and 3.0.
Compare the function code in htmldb_html_elements.js. You should also check the function html_SelectedOptions which is called by html_SelectValue

Billing due list problem with customized document types
Dear Team,
We have created a new Rental contract and Rental Invoice document types by copying the standard ones (MV & FV), while trying to get the Billing due list, unable to get the Rental Invoice type, rather the system is proposing the standard Invoice type (i have already changed the Billing type to the customized one in sales document type).
Can you please let me know the pre-requisites for the billing due list.

SreedharHi,
Thank you for your response. But, i was not able to implement those oss notes as the current highest support package we are currently using is SAPKB70208, Software component - SAP-BASIS.
Kindly let me know if you have more inputs.

Hi,
1. I understand that multiselect list problem has discussed here multiple times but I could not find any answer for my situation. May be someone can give me an advise.
I have a page that has 8 multiselect lists. A user makes his selection, presses button “Report” and gets redirected to the report page (say page A) that displays records according to the user selection. Report source on page A is PL/SQL function body returning SQL query.
I created the button “Report” with wizard (selected option Submit Page & Redirect to URL). Everything was working fine till report was created in the same browser window. But a customer wanted to have a report displayed as a new page. So I changed ”Optional URL Redirect” target from “No Target” as it was before to URL and inserted a call to the JavaScript as URL Target ( I use this approach on several other pages).
Now when a user presses “Report” button he is redirected to the page A but that page displays completely different set of records. It looks like multiselect lists values are not passed to the report on page A any more. What am I missing?
2. As I mentioned before a main page has 8 multiselect lists so SQL statement is very long and I will need to create a lot of different reports based on the selections in those multiselect lists .
Is it possible to create an Application Level Variable, pass “WHERE” part of the SQL statement into it when button “Report” is pressed ( button has setting Submit Page & Redirect to URL!) and then use it in the SQL report source to generate reports?
Thank you in advance.
ValScott,
Thank you for your reply.
At the moment I switched to the URL it stopped passing multiselect list parameters( I have javascript function in the HTML Header section and call this function from the button).
If I understand the problem correctly I do not submit page as it was before. Session window does not show any parameters.
The only reason I need this switch - create a report in a new window.

Multiselect List selected by default
Hi, I have a Multiselect List populated with a LOV (elements in the "name" column of "TAB1").
I would like that if "TAB1"."check" = 1 the name into my Multiselect List was SELECTED when page is charged but I found nothing about that.
Do you have some suggestions ???
THANK YOU ...Your solution is OK if my table is static but it isn't.
If I use static / sam:pet when I update table with a new item Multiselect is not updated.
I need to use the result of the query:
select name
from TAB1
where check = 1
and select these item into my Multiselect List where source code is:
select name
from TAB1
Something like:
DECLARE my_table wwv_flow_global.vc_arr2;
begin
SELECT name INTO my_table
FROM TAB1
WHERE check = 1;
FOR i in 1..my_table.count
LOOP
P1_SELECT.value (my_table(i)) = CHECKED;
END LOOP;
end;
I konw this code is not right but just to give you an idea of the way it has to work.

Repopulating a multiselect list with saved values
Hi,
I am new to using HTML DB and have been searching the Internet on information I could find about it.
I found some useful information about multiselect boxes and can get the inserts to work but I am having problems with the repopulating of the multiselect from the underlying table.
I am using the following code to get the information from the table and the process point is On Load - After Header.
DECLARE
l_selected HTMLDB_APPLICATION_GLOBAL.VC_ARR2;
BEGIN
SELECT risk_owner_id BULK COLLECT
INTO l_selected
FROM rmd_risk_risk_owners
WHERE risk_id = :P34_RISK_ID;
:P34_RISK_OWNER_ID := HTMLDB_UTIL.TABLE_TO_STRING( l_selected );
END;
but the multiselect list doesn't seem to repopulate with the values.
Does anyone have an idea I what I could be doing wrong from their previous experience. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Regards,
Scott.Lets break the problem statement in multiple steps
1. We need a way to know the selection on all rows.
2. We need the association of the checkBox with the data
The solution is to use a arrayCollection/array that holds all the instances created for checkbox.This collection should be a property of component containing the datagrid. We need to use a custom component implementation or inline ItemRenderer. The way you have used is called dropinItemRenderer. Preferaly use custom component implementation and add the instance to the arrayCollection at CreationComplete. Make sure you use addItemAt so that you add the instance in the same row as the data. To get rowIndex the custom Checkbox should implement IDropInListItemRenderer. You could iterate this collection to check all the instances that are checked.
Note: This is the approach considering your dataprovider doesnt have a selection field.

Problem with list and map in GWT
I have a problem with map and list in GWT. I need to put a map in to a list but GWT does not support ArrayList and HashMap since they are not serialized types.
Exactly I want to create following list with out using ArrayList and HashMap
ArrayList<HashMap<String, Object>> map = new ArrayList<HashMap<String,Object>>(); Thank you for new ideas,

Edited by: Umberto Gandalf on Dec 21, 2008 10:36 PMHi,
Though personally i havent tried this option, check the same
Go to Menu: Settings >> Switch List
This will make the value displayed in ALV format and then try taking print outs.

I'm experiencing a similar problem with an LG Flatron monitor which my MBP no longer recognizes. I've tried installing all the updates listed above but have not been succesful. Everytime I get a message saying that this software is not supported on my system. Can anyone tell me why I can't install the updates?
Hello Philly,
I believe that when you reset your ipod(command given from the computer, right?) touch WHILE the ipod was updating, It cleared the system in the middle of writing files, thus corrupting(equivalent of cutting of in the middle of a sentence) the basic running system.
I suggest you go to an apple store and ask for a technical diagonosis in person. they may offer to help if the problem is fixable. If your ipod is still under warrenty, i would guess it would be free/low cost.

Strange Problem in dynamically list population with record group
Hello Room,
I am dynamically populating a single list with 2 record groups. I am having a strange problem. All the code are written in 2 seperate buttons. The code of every button is given below.
Button 1 code:-
DECLARE
rg_reports RECORDGROUP;
rg_name VARCHAR2(40) := 'REPORTS';
vTemp NUMBER;
BEGIN
-- Pls make sure Group doesn't already exist
rg_reports := FIND_GROUP(rg_name);
-- If it doesn't exist then create it and add ur query to it
IF Id_Null (rg_reports) THEN
rg_reports:=CREATE_GROUP_FROM_QUERY(rg_name , 'SELECT companyname,to_char(co) from companymaster order by companyname');
end if;
--Populate the Record Group
vTemp:=POPULATE_GROUP(rg_reports);
POPULATE_LIST('REPORTS.EXAMPLELIST', rg_name);
Delete_Group( rg_reports );
END;
Button 2 Code:-
DECLARE
rg_reports RECORDGROUP;
rg_name VARCHAR2(40) := 'REPORTS';
vTemp NUMBER;
BEGIN
-- Pls make sure Group doesn't already exist
rg_reports := FIND_GROUP(rg_name);
-- If it doesn't exist then create it and add ur query to it
IF Id_Null (rg_reports) THEN
rg_reports:=CREATE_GROUP_FROM_QUERY(rg_name , 'SELECT accountname,to_char(co) from accountmaster order by accountname');
end if;
--Populate the Record Group
vTemp:=POPULATE_GROUP(rg_reports);
POPULATE_LIST('REPORTS.EXAMPLELIST', rg_name);
Delete_Group( rg_reports );
END;
The code is same here only the sql is different in these 2 buttons. Now the problem point.
when i press button 1, I get the list populated ok. when i try to click on the list item and keep the button pressed the list gets scrolled properly.
when i press button 2 after that i get account names well populated in the same list item as well, but this time, when i keep the button pressed the list does not scroll below as in button 1. It does not even allow to select different item from the list of button 2 code.
I tried to clear cache, cookies, exit browser everything and try to run the button 2 first, but still the problem in button 2 code.
Following are my system details.
windows 7 professional edition.
Oracle database 11g on windows 7
Oracle forms 10g patchset 10.1.2.0.2 on windows 7
Browser Netscape Navigator with oracle jinitiator 1.3.1.22
But this form is run by a client side html file where oracle forms 10g is not installed on windows xp. html file is just referring server url to run the module. The file is run on Netscape navigator browser with oracle jinitiator 1.3.1.22
My question is that is this a bug ? if button 1 gets the list item scrolled, why is the problem with button 2 even though i press it first. Here I am deleting the record group also. after the code is over. Initially I thought this may be the character length problem so I took the maximum character length for that list item as given by the 2 columns in database.
Why is the list scrolling not happening in button 2 but in button 1 with same codes on both ?
Anybody please help me.The problem is the second query. I would guess that the TO_CHAR(co) is not unique for each account, but is the same for the accounts. And as the second item in the select-list is the listitems values, all your listitem-entries have the same value. therefore, of you select any entry, the list will always go the the first entry again.
Adjust your query. -
List of Problems with new Web Mail
List of Problems with NEW Web Mail :
- At first doesn't open full page message list or retain full page as default setting, have to drag down bar
- Only shows 20 message lines after “pulling down” the divider, screen partially empty until I scroll down. It should show at least 26, preferably all available
- After moving bar, bar moves back up after going back to inbox (not delete message) after reading a message, have to move it down again, and again...
- Doesn't go to next message when delete message on screen is selected, no setting option for default to do this.
- There is a drop down to select which folder to move a selected email to. The initial display shows 7 usable choices, with the usual slider and arrow to show more choices. The space on the slider clearly shows more choices are present (actually about 20 or so are there), but any attempt to use the slider or arrow to see more choices causes the drop-down to instantly disappear. I can't move the selected field with arrow keys either. I can select any of the visible 7 choices, and move an email to only one of the 7. NOTE: This one works in both IE and Firefox, but if Verizon Webmail was fully web standard (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Web_standards) compliant it would also work in my preferred browser, Mozilla Seamonkey, the direct descendant of the original Mozilla browser. Webmail should be FULLY web standard.
- Occasionally a message will move from inbox to trash, without NO indication or command to move them.
- Emails occasionally flash an error message and simply disappear - not to trash or other findable place, just disappear. No time to read the error message either.
- No way to set a whitelist for supposed spam emails, unless the whitelist for “Blocking” is the same. Very unclear.
- How can I switch my service back to the original, basic, email which works ok? I know it’s still there, since some of my other accounts still access it!!!
This seems my only way of getting this info direclty to the programming staff. If it doesn't actually do this, will SOMEONE PLEASE FORWARD THIS MESSAGE TO THEM !?!
Thanks!vz_ric wrote:
The majority of websites are set up the same way for all browsers. It's the software manufacturers responsibility to make their software compatible with websites, not the other way around. Otherwise everyone who has a website will have to make 10 different sites to work multiple browsers.
Contrarily, it is Verizon's, as well as other companies like Verizon whose customer base uses a wide variety of web browsers, web page designers' responsibility to use only standard W3C-recognized code and not to use non-standard non-W3C-recognized code, e.g., Microsoft's Internet Explorer specific code, when designing their web pages. In my opinion based on my observations, Verizon's web page designers are too often guilty of using IE-specific code. -
Problem with Business Partner List - State
I'm using SAP B1 2007A. We recently added several International countries and their regions (states). We are having a problem with the state that appears on the Business Partner List (list that appears when you search using part of a company name or *). The query that gets the data does not take into consideration the Country where the state is located. The result is that the query returns the first state it finds based on the state code not the state associated with the country.
Is there a fix for this query or is there a way I can adjust the query to get the correct state results in the Business Partner List.
Thanks,
MarkNo. Different state name but same state code.
Ex:
GA - Georgia in USA
GA - Galapagos Islands in Galapagos Islands
When searching for the Business Partner the city is Atlanta the Country is USA but the State is Galapagos Islands not Georgia. -

==================
Boy, you are not kidding, I was running both the cloud and CS6, and I was ready to throw in the towel.
I have changed computer's twice now, have a solid state hd, (which I love) with 10 terabytes on externals, I run NOTHING except adobe's stuff on my HD now, and only one version of it, and it runs like a dream.
So, I updated the OS to win 8.1, updated my peripherals,
I dumped CS6 (hated to, but for some reason my 3D won't work on it, it works fine with the cloud) but in CS6 the software was turning it off after adobe's last update.
I've made a virtual machine for my development environments which do not play well with adobe's stuff.
My rule of thumb has always been double what the manufacturer states is required for RAM, but imho, with my current upgrades: upgraded to win8.1, and other peripherals, spent two weeks changing stuff over and it's about 100 times better than trying to run CC and CS6. - No kidding, the change is astronomical
But for anything PC I'm way over powered, and for Adobe, I'm still underpowered.
Next, I'll just get a mac for Adobe, and stick with my pc's for ms/CentOS. Too, it seems like since the cloud was initiated Adobe is rolling out the updates faster and changes without warning. The processor/3D issue, I had no warning on it, just woke up one day and "no more 3d" :S
But I do love the cloud, so, guess there's got to be some dark lining to it. <g> -
Problem with printing ALV lists
Hey Guys,
I have a problem with printing ALV lists ,
I created a report with several ALV lists (not grids) on the same screen but when i attempt to print the report
it prints each alv list on a different page..so if i have 3 alv lists in the same report it will print the report on 3 pages
How can i print them all in one page?
Thanks in advance
Noha Salah.Hey Max,
I tried setting the Layout-list_append before my block_list_append function call
And setting the is_print-NO_NEW_PAGE , it printed the 3 lists on one page the only problem i have
is that the lists are truncated and the list formats has totally been messed up..how can i restore them back
to their original format? -
I have a problem with black squares,rectangles, etc, in the contact list on facebook, but it is only in Firefox, I no longer know what to do? I'm using Windows 8.
'''Try the Firefox Safe Mode''' to see how it works there. The Safe Mode is a troubleshooting mode, which disables most add-ons.''
''(If you're not using it, switch to the Default theme.)''
* You can open the Firefox 4.0+ Safe Mode by holding the '''Shift''' key when you use the Firefox desktop or Start menu shortcut.
* Or use the Help menu item and click on the '''Restart with Add-ons Disabled...''' menu item while Firefox is running.
''Don't select anything right now, just use "'Start in Safe Mode"''
''To exit the Firefox Safe Mode, just close Firefox and wait a few seconds before using the Firefox shortcut (without the Shift key) to open it again.''
'''''If it is good in the Firefox Safe Mode''''', your problem is probably caused by an extension, and you need to figure out which one.
Please follow the [[Troubleshooting extensions and themes]] article for that.
