Multisim database is not complete how do I update
I have recently purchased a copy of MultiSim 10.0 for a course and the labs are calling for components which are not listed in the component database. I downloaded a pdf with a list of what components are suposed to be available and the 2N4123 transistor is listed there. How do I update the componets database with all componets?
I used the wild card search for "All Families" and Transitors. I searched under *412*, *4123*, *2N4*, *2N4123*. When looking at the master list, which appears to be in alphabetical order I don't see it listed above the 2N4124. It's just not there. Ive attached a screen shot of the menu where I'm looking.

Mark

Private strand flush not complete how to find optimal size of redo log file
hi,
i am using oracle 10.2.0 on unix system and getting Private strand flush not complete in the alert log file. i know this is due to check point is not completed.
I need to increase the size of redo log files or add new group to the database. i have log file switch (checkpoint incomplete) in the top 5 wait event.
i can't change any parameter of database. i have three redo log group and log files are of 250MB size. i want to know the suitable size to avoid problem.

Re: Redo log size increase and performance
Please read the above thread and great replies by HJR sir. I think if you wish to get concept knowledge, you should add in your notes.
"If the FAST_START_MTTR_TARGET parameter is set to limit the instance recovery time, Oracle automatically tries to checkpoint as frequently as necessary. Under this condition, the size of the log files should be large enough to avoid additional checkpointing due to under sized log files. The optimal size can be obtained by querying the OPTIMAL_LOGFILE_SIZE column from the V$INSTANCE_RECOVERY view. You can also obtain sizing advice on the Redo Log Groups page of Oracle Enterprise Manager Database Control."

cant update apps on my mac or iphone4. asks for password for another account i had on a dell notebook. either i forgot the pass word or its not taking it . i can download apps and music. how can i update apps on my mac and iphone 4?
I had the same problem today and was able to resolve it without having to do a restore or reset. The problem had something to do with my mail accounts. The upgrade reset my mail settings, switching both my gmail and my .mac mail to "archive all mail". I went into the General Settings, disabled that setting, and resynced the phone. The "other" storage allottment dropped back down to less than a gig.
Before you restore or reset, I would try that first. -
Standby database is not completing recovery.
All,
I applied a PSU to 10.2.0.4 (8576156) patch this afternoon on both the primary and standby oracle_home(s). Upon starting up the standby database, I no longer see the “media recovery waiting” message in the alert log when an archive log is sent from the primary.
Not sure if I have an issue with the patch or DG is configured or started.
Perhaps another set of eyes can lead me to an issue I am not seeing.
The standby database was started as follows:

My iPad 2 WILL NOT complete / finish sync after update of 7.1
I have tried syncing my iPad 2 several times and even left it overnght to complete the sync, but it gets hung up at "Waiting for changes to be applied" which is the last phase of the sync. I have restarted my Mac Book and my iPad 2 TWICE and tried resyncing at least twice. Restoring my iPad isn't something I want to do considering all of the apps I have and reorganization, etc. Can anyone help me with this issue?
Nobody is dying to restore a device, but I've done it several times and I never had to reorganize my apps or folder structure. I'm not saying that the folder structure will not blow up on you if you restore, but it hasn't happened to me....yet anyway.
You restarted the iPad but did you reset the iPad? I would also close all apps on the iPad, then reset the device, restart the Mac again and then try to sync again.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up. -

Time Machine WIll not Complete Backup Since Latest Update
Yesterday morning I ran software update which included an update to Mac OS 10.6.6, Remote Desktop Client 3.4 and iWork 9.0.5. After the update I restarted the system and from that point forward I keep getting an error message that Time Machine backup failed. I ran Disk Utility on the backup disk and it doesn't find any problem.
Has anyone else had this problem or have any other suggestions how to remedy the issue?
Thank you,
DCWithout a hint of a glimmer of a clue about what the failure message was, we can't give you any specifics in return.
Start with #C2 in [Time Machine - Troubleshooting|http://web.me.com/pondini/Time_Machine/Troubleshooting.html] (or use the link in *User Tips* at the top of this forum). It will show you how to locate the message(s) that describe the problem, then help you fix it. If that doesn't help, post back with details, including all the messages, your setup (especially the destination for the backups), what you've done, and the results. -
I have a old version on a computer that is not online, how do I update it?
Is it possible to load the update onto a thumb drive and then load that onto my older version computer?
Hi,
Please check it using these steps:
1. Right click the iocon speaker (bootom right hand side)
2. Select "Recording Devices"
3. Enable the microphone
Hope this helps.

Explained my problem in the subject
Hi Kylegundrum,
Try resetting your device (nothing will be lost): Hold down the Home and Power buttons at the same time and continue to hold them down until the Silver Apple appears (up to 30 seconds). Once the Home screen redisplays, see if your issue is resolved.

Private strand flush not complete message
Hi,
I am running Oracle10gR2 on Windows and I occationally receive the following error message on alert file. I could not find any documentation why I'm geting this.
Thread 1 cannot allocate new log, sequence 2112
"Private strand flush not complete"
I added a new log group with 2 members but I am still recieving the error.
Do you think increasing the logfile size would help? If so, is it possible to have different logfile size in oracle? and can I do this dynamically?
Thanks,
AmirI also get this error:
Thread 1 cannot allocate new log, sequence 2122
Checkpoint not complete
How can I increase the log file? -
