Multitasking appears after only one click

Multitasking bar appears with just one click. Sometimes pushing Home Button does nothing and must be pushed again once. Sometimes Camera Button appears after touching Home Button only once.

Clicking once in a white space does not open the advanced editor.
This is only initiated if you click twice in a white space.
However, the point that some people keep clicking twice either because of their computing habits in a word processing package or otherwise has been taken on board by the developers. As you say, people like yourself found the pop up irritating and wanted it removed from so easily being selected.
You will be pleased to hear that if you update to 31.1.0 then you will find that accessing the advanced property editor has been prevented from opening using the double click.
The Thunderbird program is not stored in the same place as the Thunderbird Profile folders.
So updating via 'Help' > 'About Thunderbird'
click on 'Check for updates'
will not have any effect on folders.
You could also uninstall the current Thunderbird via Control Panel > Programs and Features and then download from here:
* https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/thunderbird/all.html
However, it is always a good idea to backup your Profile just in case :)
You can use MozBackup tool to backup a Profile or use ImportExporttool to backup emails or you can manually copy the Profile folder.
Suggest you save all backups to an external storage device for safe keeping.

Advanced editor pops up after only one click so how do I get this to stop?

When I write an email I typically don't keep typing all the way to the right margin. Instead
I choose to keep the line of words narrow by routinely hitting
"enter." Hence, it's like creating a new paragraph after every line
as I am doing now. Then when I go to edit, such as to take out
a word, I will move the cursor and place it in a white field next
to that word. I would then backspace to delete the word. However,

Appear after all buttons clicked

OK, I have a relatively easy question for you guys. I have a slide with four persistent buttons on it and I want a link to the next slide to appear after the four buttons have been clicked. What confuses me, however, is that I'm not sure where to put the "Advance to Next Slide" button on the timeline.
I'm assuing that the problem is that I have all the buttons set to pause at the same time, but I'm not sure what the alternative would be.
I've attached pictures of my slide and timeline below. Any feedback you could give me would be much appreciated. Thanks.

OK Walter, then you really need advanced actions for the buttons. Noellet gave some ideas but it will not work if the user can click multiple times on each button, sorry Noellet. I will try to explain why: in your scenario the Next button will also appear if the user clicked four times on the same button
Walter, you need to create one user variable for each button, I will label them v_one, v_two, v_three, v_four. You do not need to give those variables a start value at all. They will be set to 1, when the corresponding button is clicked the first time. You will need a conditional advanced action for each button, and as Noellet correctly pointed out, the 'Next' button has to be initially invisible.
Each conditional advanced action will have to do several things, showing the text caption and hiding all other text captions, set the value of its variable to 1, check the value of all the user variables and if they are all=1 the next button will be made visible. Easiest way will be to create indeed a counter variable as well v_counter.
Would use 2 decisions: first will be a mimick of a standard action, second will be a really conditional action. For the first button, where the Text Caption is TC1 this will be:
First decision: IF 1 = 1     (will always be true, so THEN actions will always be executed
                    THEN      Show TC1
                                   Hide TC2
                                   Hide TC3
                                   Hide TC4
                                   Assign v_one with 1
                                   Expression v_counter = v_one + v_two
                                   Expression v_counter = v_counter + v_three
                                   Expression v_counter = v_counter + v_four                    need 3 expressions to calculate v_counter
                                   Assign rdcmndGotoFrame with rdinfoCurrentFrame      to rewind the playhead
Second decision IF v_counter = 4
                         THEN Show BtNext      shows the Next button
                         ELSE Continue
Did not try it out, let me know if it works, logic is OK

Why does my imported video appear on only one clip?

I had only made a few in the past but I remember well that the footages appeared as several clips on the pane window.On this occasion I have but only one clip, despite the fact i wasnt running the camera constantly and took several bits of film footage.Rather confused by it

Hi I have recently got an imac and on the computer we have my user page, my wifes user page and one for our kids. We have downloaded some educational apps for the kids but I was just wondering if there was a way to make them just appear on the kids pag and not mine?

On your Mac, you have one Applications folder stored on /Applications, and applications stored there shows on all users, and then, each user has got an Applications folder on ~/Applications, where you must save the apps that you want to show only on one user.
In your case, log in your kids user. Then, open Finder, choose the applications you want to show only on that account with Command key, go to Edit menu and select Copy.
After that, go to Go menu > Go to Folder, and type ~/Applications. Finally, right-click on the Finder window and press Paste, so applications will appear on that folder.
Also, to delete those applications from /Applications, choose Applications on the Finder sidebar, select the applications you copied to ~/Applications, and move them to the Trash. After doing this, those applications will only appear on your kids user

Why is my homesharing dropping after only one play from ITunes?

Since the past two "updates" (11.1 the most recent) my Apple TV has problem staying in the "homeshare" mode. When it IS, it will only stream the first song and then freeze on the second. What can be done to fix this?

Yup - ALL Channels panned to center. I had been using things after the Pluraleyes sync for a few days before this manifested, so I don't think that's it (good to know about though).

Dual 2ghz G5 appears with only one processor in Activity Monitor

Here's something I haven't seen before... a dual 2ghz G5 appears as a single processor machine in Activity Monitor. I ran the hardware test from the CD and everything checked out fine. I then rebooted and zapped PRAM using commandoption+PR... I held the keys down for a while and zapped it three times. System booted up and showed both procs in Activity Monitor. Restarted system again and now shows only a single CPU.
Anyone seen this before?

Did you ever use CHUD or Open Firmware to disable a cpu?
My preference with G5s is to boot into Open Firmware and
reset-nvram
set-defaults
reset-all
which should and is easier to rebuild the device tree rather than zap pram (once is enough, older OldWorld systems urban legend was you needed multiple reboots to be sure).

How to get Outlook to appear in only one desktop in mission control?

When I invoke Outlook it appears in every desktop of mission control. How can I make it be in just one? Same seems to be true of Safari.

I tried opening two files but selecting and hitting enter. it opens one SSMS and two tabs.

WRT160N v2 needing reboot after only one day?!

Hi all,
My D-Link Gamer Lounge died so I went to Best Buy and bought the Linksys WRT160N v2. Brought it home and performance was approximately equal to dialup. Took it back to Best Buy and exchanged it for another WRT160N v2. My thinking was that the first one was perhaps dropped on its head or something.
The second one worked like a champ and I was up and flying in no time flat.
Got home from work today and none of my computers could connect wirelessly. That is, until I rebooted the router. Then all connected just fine without any issues. Hardwired computers worked fine the whole time (have two hardwired and five wireless). This doesn't give me any "warm fuzzies" about this router.
Any thoughts or suggestions?

Try to upgrade the firmware from www.linksys.com/downloads.
Reset the router and reconfigure it .
1. Press and hold the reset button for 30 seconds.
2. Then, unplug the power keep holding down the reset button for
another 30 Seconds.
3. Plug back the power back in, and keep holding down the reset button
for 30 Seconds.
4. Release the reset button.

Downloading files in ONE CLICK

I was wondering if there is a way on my MBP to set it up so I can click on a file (picture, link, etc ) to download, and instead of having the "save image as" dialogue box pop up, (after hitting Control-Click) it just immediately downloads without having to do anything else? Is there a way to do this in ONE click (not having to hit both control-click), or just control click and NO "save image as" box popping up?

I usually just drag images onto the desktop ~ click, hold, drag. At least it's only one click
Upgrade to Leopard OSX 10.5.5 and get the 'two fingers on trackpad' click instead of ctrl click.

Stringing multiple actions onto one click?

Is it possible to have multiple actions happen, either simultaneously, or one right after another, with only one click causing this?

Yes it is. In the Build Inspector, click the button labeled "More Options", which will reveal the Build Order drawer. Here you can set which builds/actions occur in which order, which builds/actions occur simultaneously, and whether they are triggered by a click.

Opening a folder with an application in one click, and automating Terminal

A forum member kindly recommended I move a question from 'Mac OS X Leopard' to this sub-forum as it was more appropriate to Unix:
Firstly, is it possible to create a desktop/dock icon (or perhaps a Safari or FireFox bookmark) that opens a folder with a certain application? I'm doing a lot of web development and hoping to create handy buttons for opening up entire folders (Ruby on Rails projects) with only one click. At the moment, I have to find the folder and drag it to the textmate icon; if I had a 'open in textmate' button, that would make my work so much quicker, as I'm often changing between projects. It would be even better if I could have the button as a bookmark in my browser (where I spend most of my time).
Secondly (probably related to the first question), is it possible to automate a process I follow every time I open up a Ruby on Rails project in Terminal (?);
1. Load Terminal by clicking on the icon in the dock
2. 'cd sites/rubyonrailsapp' (where 'rubyonrailsapp' is the rails application I want to load)
3. 'mate .' (opens the entire /rubyonrails/ folder in TextMate)
4. 'CMD + T' (to open up a new Terminal tab)
5. 'gitk --all &' (to open up the Wish version control interface for the rails application)
6. 'autotest' (to runs the tests in the rails application)
7. 'CMD + T' (to open up another new Terminal tab, ready for me to use)
If I could follow those steps with only one click, that would be amazing, so any suggestions are much appreciated (I just realised how many times-per-day I'm typing these commands).

you can try this applescript. just copy it into the Script Editor and save it (1) as a script application that you can double-click, or (2) as a script that you can run from the script menu or quickkeys or etc. may need some tweaking...

I Purchse iTuens Match. Whow do I download all available songs with only one click. I have more than 4000 songs and I do not want to click and wait for every song.

Unfortunately, there is no button to download all songs at once, but you could download a whole album at once. Therefor just open iTunes and choose the album view, then click on the little "iCloud" icon in the upper right corner of the album art.
Edit: Winston's solution is better.
