Multitouch swipe not working

I can't seem to get the swipe listener in my flex mobile project to recognize a multitouch swipe.
I have tested this on an iPad and a Galaxy tab. I can get multitouch working, because pinching is recognized, but swipes are only recognized when I only use 1 finger to swipe.
I know it should work, because the official documentation tells me this:
Dispatched when the user performs a swipe gesture at a point of contact with an InteractiveObject instance (such as touching three fingers to a screen and then moving them in parallel over a display object on a mobile phone or tablet with a touch screen).
I've also followed the instructions on this page: http://www.adobe.com/devnet/flash/articles/multitouch_gestures.html
Can anyone help me out here..?

I use a brand new MacBook Air, and suddenly today the magicmouse movement was erratic, jumping around aimlessly. At the same time, vertical and horizontal scrolling was gone. Actually, clicking was the only thing still working.
After searching the forums and trying blindly to find solutions (including downloading magicprefs, deleting preference files in the library / preference folder etc., restarting ( hotstart ) the machine, - suddenly I got a Kernel panic / crash. Never seen this before.... Looking at the log after the forced restart, there was something wrong with
com.apple.driver.AppleMultitouchDriver
- perhaps crashed. Anyway, I had to coldstart the machine and - presto ! - it worked.
So, if you´re at loss, try coldstarting your machine ( i.e. completely off, then on again, instead of just restart ).
If still not working, try to search for the driver name above and solutions for this.

Zoom the screen with ctrl 2-Finger Swipe not working in Mavericks

I just bought a new Macbook Air for my wife (running Mavericks) and can't figure out why the Zoom the screen with ctrl 2-Finger Swipe is not working.
I can't find the setting anywhere.
I looked on my Macbook Pro running Mavericks (on which the zoom still works), but I cannot find the setting on that computer either.
Please help.

System Preferences---> Accessibility---> Zoom---> Use scroll gesture with modifier key to zoom. Select ctrl in the drop down menu.
It's a feature not normally turned on, so you might of had it turned on on your Mac before upgrading to Mavericks. And it just kept the setting.

Magic Mouse - Two Finger Swipe not working in Finder + iTunes

Hello,
since OSX 10.8 I realized that in Finder & iTunes the backward/forward navigation has stopped working with Magic Mouse (two-finger-swipe gesture).
I have already read a lot of forums as well as apple-discussions and didn't find a solution apart from MagicPrefs or any other 3rd-party-app.
Is that a bug or just not meant to work? Does anybody know why Apple stopped providing this - very useful - gesture?

I would also recommend if that does not work, to reboot and run "repair permissions" from Disk Utilities.
Also might suggest downloading and trying MagicPrefs, it's a free program for the Magic Mouse and it really works great. May help with your problem, may not but I'd give it a try.

3 finger swipe not working

i don't know when it stopped, i have installed snow leopard, can't be sure it was since then, but my 3 finger swipe has stopped working in any program. don't use firefox. just updated safari, snow leopard, nothing unusual installed recently.
any ideas? know issue? i've seen a few posts, but they mostly relate to firefox.

After I installed the recent security update for Mac OS X v10.6.2 Snow Leopard on my MacBook Pro, I noticed this problem just today. The problem affects all multi-touch gestures, including but not limited to the following:

Secondary click (on bottom-right of trackpad)
2 finger right-click
2 finger scrolling

I've had my MacBook Pro since December 2009 when I bought it at a Best Buy, and I have a Best Buy warranty so if it is hardware-related, then I can just drop it off at a local Best Buy and let a Geek Squad Agent deal with it.

According to AppleInsider.com, the public release of Mac OS X v10.6.3 Snow Leopard is expected to be released in 6 weeks from now with more support for certain technologies, applications, and more stability to target crashes, bugs, etc.

Thanks for the reply. What I meant was I doesnt go back to previous page on my Firefox browser by using swipe. It worked last time.

Firefox 9 : 2 fingers swipe not working

Just downloaded and installed Firefox 9.0 today on my MacBook pro.
2 fingers swipe simply does not work. No signs of movements :)
I even restarted after the install ... very Windows of me

Make sure Firefox isn't set to 32 bit mode.

Quick swipe not working on grouped tracks

I've grouped two tracks together and in the group settings box I've checked 'Edit'. However when I swipe one track the other doesn't mirror it. I've always done this with drum tracks but can't figure why it's suddenly not working.

I haven't had this happen in a while, but Logic's group feature used to work intermittently for me at times.
If you haven't already, set up a key command for "group clutch". This will allow you to turn the grouping feature on and off. Try toggling it on and off a few times. That used to "wake it up" for me, when abnormalities like what you're experiencing occurred.
You could also literally disable the groups on those tracks, and then re-enable them, or assign them to a different group altogether.
I found the above solutions to always fix the weirdness when it happened. See if that helps...

Your tagline say that you are running iOS 4.2. It doesn't Work in iOS 4.2. you need to upgrade to iOS 5 if you want that feature. You need to update via iTunes on a computer for this update. After you update to iOS 5, you can do future updates OTA via WiFi.

N8 Multitouch Is not Working

Side swipes not working in metro or legacy desktop!

I just my sister a brand new ThinkPad Edge Twist as a gift.....went through ooobe no problems. But today - one day later - edge swipes are not working! I rebooted and it got stuck doing checkdisk twice. Finally got it rebooted successfully and did a complete refresh of the OS and reset up the device. But still no joy for side swipes. Can't get to the charms bar ...very annoying.
Any advice is appreciated.

Does the rest of the touch screen seem to work? Can you pinch-to-zoom in applications that support it or click on items by pressing on them?

Muse Swipe not working on chrome. When is this getting fixed?

So it took me some hunting around but looks like there is either a bug in Adobe Muse or Google Chrome. Neither wants to do Thumb Swipes.... and i thought this was going to be fixed with the July 18th updated... but not yet. When is this going to be done, and who is going to fix it?
by the way... it appears to be an issue on some windows phones also, but Android brows works.

This is an issue that Adobe needs to fix ASAP. The only way I can get this fixed is to have a web developer take the exported code from Muse and implement the fix by hand-coding. This is not a suitable method for the long-term as I will have to redo the fix any time I make changes to the Muse file and export the source code. Adobe should be up-to-date with all of the browsers.

Twist charm swipes not working and other issues

Hi all,
I just got a new Twist a few days ago and am having some issues with it. I got it on line from Staples who have a very limited return policy so I need to get these problems resolved quickly or will have to return it in a few days. I really like it a lot and would hate to return it and deal with the replacement, double charge on my CC until they get the defective Twist and refund the bucks, not to mention the shipping hassles.
I've installed all updates including the Lenovo updates, updated the Bios, did a factory refresh and went through the update process all over again and also calibrated the screen.
So the problems I'm seeing are the swipes from top to close an app, left to view open apps, and right for the charms will intermittently stop working but you can still tap on apps to open them and slide the app screen left \ right.
The other issue is that occasionally the app screen will shrink and expand or open an app without being touched, I would have it on a stand in tablet mode and watch it expand \ contract, and suddenly bring up an app like Remote Desktop. I contacted Lenovo support they said it was a hardware issue and recommended returning it but I'm reluctant to do this and hope there's a solution for it.
I did notice was that moving to portrait mode would usually work to bring back the swipe functionality. Digging into it a bit more, I think I found the root cause, when it is in tablet mode with the keyboard folded back, the keyboard isn’t getting fully disabled, watching it closely I noticed that a cursor would sometimes appear \ disappear momentarily.
Any thoughts or advice would be GREATLY appreciated!!

okay, let's make really sure it is the entire iTunes folder. a typical one looks like this on the inside
the red arrow points to the heart of your iTunes library - the iTunes library file, the iTunes database. you will want to treat this file as the apple of your eye !
anyhoo, if indeed the entire iTunes folder is on the external, simply drag it from there to <MacintoshHD>/users/<yourname>/music on the new Mac.
since a folder by the same name is already in that location, the finder will tell you so and ask you if you want to "replace it with the one you're moving". confirm that you want that.
when the copying has finished, fire up iTunes and you should be taken to the exact same library you were used to from your old Mac.
finally, go iTunes > preferences > advanced and check that +iTunes media folder location+ is set correctly - it should point to the iTunes folder on your new Mac's startup disk. if it doesn't, change it accordingly.

Safari back swipe not working in 10.9.1 update

I just updated my iMac to the newest version of Mavericks, 10.9.1. Now, when in Safari, if I try to swipe back to the previous page, it starts to move the page like it usually does, but it stops about half an inch into moving back to the previous page and freezes. Then, no matter what I try, Safari freezes. It is FROZEN. I have to quit and restart Safari. Is anyone else having this problem? Is there a way to resolve this?

I experienced it on the launch page, Google.com, apple.com, and the front page of the app store. I'd be scrolling, and accidentally shift sideways and it would lock up.
I solved my problem by clearing my browsing data, shutting down completely (un-tick the "reopen windows on boot" option), and starting up again. When I did, I got a message saying there had been some sort of unexpected shutdown. It asked if I wanted to do a clean boot. I agreed, and Mac OS restarted again. It's been working ever since.
I don't know what happened, but it was frustrating for me that I couldn't figure out why it changed. Best of luck to those that still suffer from this. Best of luck.

Swipe not working

I upgrade my 5 a while ago. All of a sudden tonight, all swipes won't work but a white box surrounds the things a I touch and SIRI reads them out loud to me. "Turn off iPhone button", "9:12 pm". I have rebooted holding the home and power switch 3 times. Nothing. Voice over on.
