Muse 2014.2 Freezes when I try to open my site.

I haven't updated my web site since August, and today I needed to work on my site - but upon opening the file, Muse freezes and I have to use the task manager to shut down the program. I tried opening the file various times, uninstalled Muse and re-installed it to no avail. I need to update my site for business purposes and this is causing me grief. Please, I need help!

The fact you were able to open the site on another computer leads me to suspect there's either something in the Muse preferences that's causing a problem, or something related to the linked asset files (since the linked files may not have been available when you opened the file on another computer).
Please rename the two preferences folders.
Enter "%appdata%" in a File Explorer window. Among the other files there you should find a folder named "com.adobe.AdobeMuseCC.2014.2". Rename it to "com.adobe.AdobeMuseCC.2014.2.old".
Next enter "%appdata%\Adobe\Adobe Muse CC" in a File Explorer window and rename the "2014.2" folder you should find there to "2014.2.old".
Launch Muse and attempt to open your file. If that works, I'd greatly appreciate it if you could send me the two renamed preferences folders so we can attempt to determine what was causing the hang. You can send them to me at [email protected] along with a link to this thread. If they're larger than 20Mb you can use a service like Adobe SendNow, Dropbox, WeTransfer, etc. (If you use a service, please include a link to this thread and your return e-mail address in the body of the message, since not all services include your return e-mail in the sharing invite they send.) Thanks.
If the file still doesn't open, please try renaming the folder where the images and any other assets you've used in the file are stored (so the links to the asset files are broken). Then attempt to open the file. If that works, there's probably one or more asset files that are triggering the hang.
If that doesn't work, please send me the .muse file and I'll attempt to reproduce the failure. Though the fact you were able to open the file on another machine makes me suspect it's unlikely the file will fail for me. Mac OS X Tiger - Ai CS4 freezes when I try to open a file from either dbl-clicking on the file or opening within Ai. This happened all the time with Ai CS3 so I upgraded, now its happening with the new version. Do I need to allocate more memory to Ai? If yes, how do I do that? I worked when I first installed, but now it will not allow me to open any of my files. I do not receive an error message, and I have to force quit the app after it freezes. Can anyone help me with this problem?

Download OnyX, clean out your system caches and repair permissions. If it occurs in eitehr version of AI, it hardly qualifies for the usual trash the prefs, but of course that is never wrong, too...

Adobe Reader X freezes when I try to open recent files

When I try to open recent files, Adobe Reader X will freeze up and will stay that way until I restart the computer. Even logging off won't work. I recently left it alone for around 5-10 minutes and Windows finally did end up stopping the process, but this is not normal. Any ideas for a fix?

Nope. That didn't do it. It won't even let me end the process AcroRd32.exe. I confirmed that after around 10 minutes, it finally closed on it's own. I just also confirmed that it's a problem with accessing files on my network, not local files. The odd thing is that I can use the Open tool, go the folder and open that file fine, but when I try to open the same file under the recent files, it freezes up. This may have to do with the fact that this is a mapped network drive. Any fix would be appreciated. Thanks.

I have a Satellite P200 duo core with 2GB of memory. Quite often when I try to open a screen in ieplorer the screen freezes and goes white. When I look at the computer performance it tells me the CPU is working at 100% and the physical memory at just 50%. Would increasing the memory to 4GBhelp or is there anything else I should try?

Usually for all OS 2GB memory should be enough and in my opinion an upgrade to 4GB is only necessary if you run programs (e. g. games) they need a lot of memory.
As Akuma wrote, I think a software toolbar or something else causes the high CPU usage so remove them.
Make also sure that you are using newest version of Internet Explorer.

WHY MUSE 2014.3 crashes when I try to SAVE or SAVE AS ?

MUSE has never failed before to me ... just after update to 2014.3 it crashes when I try to SAVE or SAVE AS .. it freezes and I have to FORCE QUIT from MUSE.
This site is already LIVE and need to make some updates for today .. I've emailed to [email protected] attaching the screenshot and the MUSE FILE.
Their answer is not clear ... I don't know if they will do something or I should do something in addition to what I sent ... PLEASE I have a compromise with my client and feel totally unsupported by you.

I had something similar happen to me yesterday and after contacting Adobe Support, I had to send in my file so they could repair it. There are several other cases of issues when downloading the update, uploading files, etc. If you can open the file inside the new 2014.3 update, make changes, but cannot save or upload to FTP, etc...it's probably a file error issue that occurred after the 2014.3 update. The tech told me to downgrade back to the previous version for the time being so that I can still work and update the website. That requires an older file that was not converted after the update though. Hopefully you back up your muse files.
To downgrade and work around this, uninstall the Muse app. Delete preferences. Go back to the CC panel/dashboard and install the previous 2014.2.1 version at the bottom (you'll have to click on the little arrow/gear icon just above the muse install button to select "Previous Version."

Use Mozilla Firefox to see my emails and use the internet from about one week when I try to see my emails or use the internet it takes me to another wed site or gets freezes I am worry about because I don't know what's going up. This is the first time it happening to me. It says Firefox can not work properly it will close and I can lose some information, or click to star a new session but it never starts again it got freeze and I have to shut down the computer.

Use internet explorer as your default until this issue is resolved. Under Firefox, hotmail live will not load my email folders. No problem using internet explorer.

MacBook Pro freezes when I try to open anything

Whenever I boot up my MacBook Pro, I let it warm up for about 5 minutes. Then, when I try and click and click on anything, like the browser, the whole computer freezes and the only thing I can do is force it to shut down by holding down the power button. When you next have the problem, note the exact time: hour, minute, second.
If you have more than one user account, these instructions must be carried out as an administrator.
Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:

Illustrator & Photoshop CS3 Freeze When I Try to Open a Document

I have CS3 installed, and just since yesterday, when I open photoshop or illustrator and then try to open a document (just from file-open), the entire program freezes and won't let me click anywhere. I have to ctrl-alt-del to get the program closed. I have restarted my computer numerous times. If I don't have photoshop or illustrator open and go to my computer and find the file I want to open and double-click on it, it will open that document. But while that document is open, if I go to file-open, it then freezes again. Anyone know how to fix this?

That is I take it Pages '06? Which is a bit long in the tooth.
I'm trying unsuccessfully to find the minimum requirement for OSX 10.6, but yours may not be compatible with Snow Leopard.
Your contacts are no doubt using either Pages '08 or Pages '09 which as later versions can open yours but you can not open theirs.
Updating from Pages '06 is a no brainer IMHO.

When I go to open my phone normally my pass code screen pops up. It was working fine all day and then all of a sudden it started freezing. If I slide the bar across to open my phone it just freezes on that screen and I can't get into my phone. I had to shut my phone completely down to get in. I tried to turn my pass code off and I can't even get into that screen. So please help!

Try resetting by pressing and holding the sleep/wake button and the home button for 10-15 seconds until the Apple logo appears, ignore the red slider. Then turn back on. You won't lose any data doing the reset.
