All pages are actually affected
Hey topelovely,
I see the issue you are hitting. This acutally has to do with a combination of how Muse works with pinned menu items, and how Google translate is doing the translation. To do the translation, Google pulls down the code for your page beforehand, translates the content, and then passes it off to your browser using its server instead of yours. Because of this, your page is being served from a different server. Now, your web browser, for security reasons, prevents one server from accessing content on another server, but since Google only serves up your text content and not the styles nor JavaScript from their server, your website is now coming from two different places, and certain pieces can't talk to one another. On your page, you have a pinned menu item, for which we use JavaScript to access the styles from it so that we can read in certain values. When we try to access the style, your browser thinks that our code is trying to access items from a different server, and it prevents it from doing so. This is the error you are seeing. Unfortunately, there won't really be a way for us to fix this problem at the moment.
Sorry for the inconvenience,
Andrew

Every time I open any .html file in a browser I recieve this error message; MuseJSAssert: Error calling selector function: TypeError: Object does'nt support property or method 'museMenu'
I have a similar problem that seems to have come up since the latest upgrade. My error is:
"JavaScript Alert
MuseJSAssert: Error calling selector function:SecurityError:Blocked a frame with origin "null" from accessing a cross-origin frame."
The strange part for me is that there's no error at all when using File>Preview Page in Browser. I only get the error when I File>Export Page as HTML and then try to view the output.
I can post a zip file of the HTML output to Adobe, but not publicly. Also, where is the Preview Page stored? If I don't get error on that, why can't I just use that as my HTML output?
Thanks! -
Very frustrated here. I'm getting the following error on the home page on my Muse site. Looks like it could be the banner slider: "MuseJSAssert: Error calling selector function:TypeError: 'undefined' is not a function (evaluating 'a.watch("height",function(){b.height($(this).outerHeight())})')"
When I click OK the error message goes away. Not a problem for me, but I can't have potential new customers seeing this when I show
I see this error on Safari 6.1.2. I don't see the error on IE.
I'm using the latest Muse CC 2014.
Here's the site: www.optimumfitness.com
Please help anyone. I've been building Muse sites for a long time and have never seen this problem.
Thanks,

Hi,
I found out when i'm in IE and go to the page 'Artists'
and i click on a name, for example: 'Abel Equipe ELA/I Gomes'
I get this warning :
MuseJSAssert: Error calling selector function:Error: A security problem occurred.
This is only in IE, not when i use Safari or Chrome
this is the website link
Any ideas how to solve this problem? There's an invalid hyperlink on the Abel Equipe ELA/I Gomes page on a bit of text that reads "with your input." You need to find this text within Muse, clear the hyperlink and enter a valid one.

First off, I am not a coding person. I decided to use Muse becuse I am good with Illustrator and Photoshop.
The sight I built: www.speedcinch.com is now getting a bunch of errors when it initially was working fine. I am using godaddy for a host and using their ftp.
This is the error I am getting now: museJSAssert: Error calling selector function: Reference Error: Web Pro is not defined
You can see how my sight is supposed to work at http://speedcinchcom.businesscatalyst.com/index.html
I have no idea what to do. Please help.Well, if nothing else I've ascertained that it's not GoDaddy's connectivity issue, as the issue continues late into today, and it does vary a bit per the other error reports. Using FileZilla there are just a few timeouts in the log, enough to give some pause but not necessarily (according to GD) disruptive. I've checked the list of uploaded files against the Muse Export folder contents and everything is there. In fact, the site looks good, buttons work, rollovers, etc, but there are no images. Like everyone else, this has cost me time and money in the last 24 hours.
Let's see what the good people at Adobe live chat have to say, and I'll share it with you. -

I launched Muse today and it said there was an updated available. I installed it and then made a few small changes to my 5 page website. Then i exported the HTML and uploaded it to my server.
But now when i try browsing the site in Chrome, I get the following error message:
MuseJSAssert: Error calling selector function:ReferenceError: Spry is not defined.
The only changes I made were adding some text to a few pages and adding metadata info to each page and when viewing the exported HTML locally (prior to uploading) it all behaves as it should...no error messages.
Any ideas why its doing this? or more importantly, any suggestions on how to stop it from doing this? It wasn't doing this yesterday prior to me making these small changes.
Here's the URL: www.gardensbytheseaursery.com
Thanks in advance.
JakeThis error would occur if not all the files for the site we're uploaded.
The 2.0 update includes numerous improvements in the generated HTML, CSS and JavaScript, so while you may have directly changed only certain pages, if you're using an external FTP client all the exported files and folders need to be uploaded. (The new built-in FTP support automatically only generates and uploads files that have changed since the previous upload.) -
My Safari browser on my iPhone4s reads the following error when I visit my site www.premiercreativegroup.com: MuseJSAssert: Error calling selector function:TypeError: 'undefined' is not an object (evaluating 'this.elem.get(0).currentStyle').
Not sure where to start on fixing this. Any ideas? You might to start by going to the Muse forum
If you start at the Forums Index http://forums.adobe.com/index.jspa
You will be able to select a forum for the specific Adobe product(s) you use -
Everything works fine in preview. Get this error when uploaded to site and trying to switch between some pages:
: " MuseJSAssert: Error calling selector function:TypeError: $(...).museMenu is not a function"
site is www.authorizedagents.comChrome still reports the http://www.campusone.net/scripts/1_1/jquery.musemenu.js is missing (though note it is now looking in a "1_1" folder rather than a "1.1" folder).
To do exactly what I'm doing to detect this:
1) Go to a page that reports a JavaScript error or that otherwise shows a missing link for an image using Chrome.
2) Right click and choose "Inspect Element". It doesn't matter what you click on.
This should bring up the developer tools UI within your browser window.
3) From the button at the top of the Developer Tools UI click on "Console".
This should display a list of any errors that occurred during the load of the page. In this case it shows the jquery.musemenu.js file was not found. -

I haven't made any changes but this error just started. The next screen says Some files on the server may be missing or incorrect. Clear browser cache and try again. If the problem persists please contact the website author. Hosting is with Business Catalyst.
Hi,
Please check this post for a similar discussion : Some files on the server may be missing or incorrect

What is this? Can't seem to get an answer. Using Firefox 28.0, Mac, have never seen this.
Hi,
This error usually appears if there is any conflicting custom code on the page. Have you added any custom code on your site?

What is this? I see a discussion thread that links it to BC issues? I need this corrected asap.
On that page, you have a form from MailChimp. They are loading in a version of the jQuery library that is causing the issue you are seeing. I know other customers have hit this issue, so I would reach out to the MailChimp support team to find out how you can resolve this problem and get embed code from them that does not have this dependency.

MuseJSAssert: Error calling selector function:TypeError: a is undefined
How can I correct this issue? It only occurs using FireFox on a Mac or PC, and only on one of my pages that has more than two iFrames on it? Very frustrating...

MuseJSAssert: Error calling selector...
I have developed a site that has "MuseJSAssert: Error calling selector function: TypeError: undefined is not an object (evaluating 'jQuery.browser.msie" I know that it is because i have inserted an Edge animate menu onto the page in Html and i am able to eliminate the issue by making sure that the Html is at the top if the layer stack. (i did it this way because a .oam file is added as an iframe which does not allow for the window to open under 'self') The site works fine apart from the message.
Hello,
I would suggest you to refer to the links below that has solution for similar issue.
MuseJSAssert: Error calling selector function:ReferenceError: Spry is not defined.
MuseJSAssert: Error calling selector function:ReferenceError: Spry is not defined
Getting "museJSAssert: Error calling selector function: Reference Error: Web Pro is not defined".
If I summarize you need to delete the existing site data at FTP host and re-upload All files and you should be all set.
