Muse CC 2014.3 Crashing

I just updated Muse to 2014.3 and now it crashes pretty much anytime I try to make a change to a file. It seems to work fine with other Muse files. These are some of the error messages it gives me.

There are probably remnants of the prior 2014.3.0 install that need to be removed before any update will work.
Delete the following 3 folders:
Mac (copy and paste into the Go > Go To Folder dialog in the Finder, to open the target folder):
     "~/Library/Preferences/com.adobe.AdobeMuseCC.2014.3 "
     "~/Library/Preferences/Adobe/Adobe Muse CC/2014.3"
     "~/Library/Preferences/Adobe/Adobe Muse CC Libraries"
Windows (Copy and paste into a file explorer window, to open the target folder):
     "%appdata%\com.adobe.AdobeMuseCC.2014.3 "
     "%appdata%\Adobe\Adobe Muse CC\2014.3"
     "%appdata%\Adobe\Adobe Muse CC Libraries"

Muse CC 2014 Crashing when I try to edit Page Metadata / HTML section

Muse CC 2014 is crashing consistently when trying to edit Page Properties / Metadata / HTML. It appears that if I try to do Copy Paste of some text into this box, without already having a blinking cursor in the box, that Muse crashes with the error displayed in the attached image. This has happened several times now. I am running using Creative Cloud in OS-X 10.9.3. To get here I right-click on the page, page properties.., click on Metadata, click in the HTML... box and CMD-V to paste. I have pasted the text several times successfully.

This is a know regression issue in RoboHelp 11.0.3. The only workaround for now is to open the SLP files with notepad or another editor.

Muse cc 2014 crashing when trying to open file

I am having an issue opening any muse files I have created with Adobe Muse cc 2014. Below is the error report I am getting consistently.
Hours earlier I was able to open, save, and publish muse file no probs.
Things I have tried with no success:
Updating Muse CC 2104 to latest version
Updating Creative cloud to latest version
Restarting computer
Shutting down computer
Opening different muse files (I noted a recent problem with youtube embed codes due to a google update, so tried opening a range of websites with and without youtube video embedded, both crashed)
Opening muse file from different origins (from computer muse file, from within Muse application)
Uninstalling legacy adobe applications including muse version (cc)
Uninstalling and reinstalling Muse cc2014
As you can see, I'm struggling for new angles to test here. Can someone please help with what is going wrong with latest Muse version?

e-merge please download the file http://muse.adobe.com/assets/ftp2014fix.zip, unzip it, and save the contained file "ftpPrefs.xml" to the following location:
On Windows: %appdata%\Roaming\Adobe\Adobe Muse CC\2014.1 (You can copy and paste this in the Path bar at the top of the Windows Explorer window.)
On Mac: ~/Library/Preferences/Adobe/Adobe Muse CC/2014.1 (You can copy and paste this in the Go To Folder dialog using Shift+Command+G in the Finder.)
I believe the hang on open is a result of Muse attempting to check to see whether In-Browser Editing has been used to make updates to your published site and the FTP server on the host being slightly misconfigured or access being blocked by the current network configuration (firewall, router, proxy server, etc.). Muse uses FTP Extended Passive Mode (EPSV). It's generally the preferred mode for optimal performance, but we're finding some hosting providers and/or networks have things configured such that EPSV is not supported or configured such that EPSV only works if you're inside the same firewall as the FTP server. The ftpPrefs.xml file above, turns off EPSV mode. So if that is the problem in this case, putting that file in place should enable you to successfully open your .muse files and upload to your FTP host without hanging/crashing.
Please give this a try and let us know whether or not it enables you to open your files and use File > Upload to FTP Host from within Muse. Thanks.

Muse CC 2014 crashes at 70 percent ftp-upload - how can I fix it?

Since the new edition of Muse is up I can't upload my website - are there any solutions for this problem?

Actually i had same problem.. well i did not upload my own ftp server because i did not finish all desing, editing etc.
I had the same problem as after uploading FTP server (which i am using a free service, found by google) i can't see some of my links. Like i have social media icons of facebook, twitter and google+ on header but all the links directing to facebook.com but i changed link for each icon several time.
and Maurya, i also thought export site as html to a local folder and then upload to FP server but this time i lost some more! Again i'll give an example through social media icons; i used a background on icon so there are the layers which are one is as background image and second one is icon of social media provider. After export site, this time links directions worked very well but i lost social media icon on background image.
I think that's probably "missing assets" problem so keep research on fixing missing assets but if anyone has another opinion will be very nice =)

Adobe Muse CC 2014 keeps crashing on launch

My version of Adobe Muse CC 2014 keeps crashing on launch. I have tried to reinstall it a few times but this keeps happening.
When I open a project, it works untill I close down the project, I get the following message:
Can someone please help me with this issue? I've searched for a solution on the forums and on the internet, but I didn't find a useful solution.

Very strange. Let's rename the Recovery folder and see if that avoids this error. The "Recovery" folder is in:
Mac: "~/Library/Preferences/com.adobe.AdobeMuseCC.2014.1/Local Store" (copy and paste into the Go > Go To Folder dialog in the Finder)
Windows: "%appdata%/com.adobe.AdobeMuseCC.2014.1/Local Store" (copy and paste into a file explorer window)
In both cases above, include everything between the quotes (including the tilde ~ on the Mac and the percent symbols % on Windows) in the copy/paste, but not the quotes themselves.
Rename the Recovery folder and relaunch Muse. Does that avoid the error? If so, I'd be grateful if you'd send us the renamed Recovery folder at muse-support along with a link to this thread for context.
If not, let's go up two levels in the folder structure and rename the entire "com.adobe.AdobeMuseCC.2014.1" folder. Doing that will cause Muse to generate a new one from scratch. Does that avoid the error? If so, I'd like to get a copy of the renamed folder.
If not, we'll have to explore some other options.

Muse CC 2014.3 crashing on upload to FTP

Though I've made updates to my site in before, Muse CC 2014.3 is now crashing on upload to FTP. I have tried to research this, but have yet to see an answer that fits. As I am only uploading changed content to my main home page it should not be difficult for Muse. Perhaps there is something on my end that has caused this situation. The progress bar reaches about 6%, stops and crashes. I have attached the crash report below for review. I have also tried exporting for HTML as well with the same result. FYI: I did try exporting to HTML a practice website and did the "preview this site in browser..." and was successful. So it initially appears that there is something in my site. The problem with that though is that I am only deleting an element, not adding or changing items.   HELP!!

Muse is crashing while attempting to decompress an image in your site. It may be an external image file, or image data embedded with the .muse file.
It would be helpful to know whether the crash occurs if the links to the external files are broken. if you rename the folder containing the images and open and output your file without fixing the links, does the crash still occur? If so, that would indicate the crash is triggered by image data within the .muse file. If that's the situation we'll need to have you send us the .muse file so we can further diagnose and repair the problem. If the crash doesn't occur with the links broken, then it's being triggered by an external image file. By re-linking sets of files you may be able to identify the problem file. Assuming the image can be opened in Photoshop without errors, opening it in PS and re-saving will avoid the crash. (If it does turn out to be an external image file, we'd be grateful if you could send us a copy of it. If it's malformed, it should result in an error message and not a crash.)
You can send files to [email protected] along with a link to this thread for context. If the file is larger than 20Mb you can use a service like Adobe SendNow, Dropbox, WeTransfer, etc. (If you use a service, please include your return e-mail address in the body of the message, since not all services include it in the sharing invite they send.) Why Muse 2014 crashes?

My muse 2014 started crash after opening page or two.
I noticed that issue since installing recent Microsoft updates few days ago.
Because i have already saved my site in 2014, I'm not able to use regular Muse CC, because it doesn't read new type of files. Muse CC works with no problem at all.
Now i decided to uninstall M2014, but cant reinstall it. In Adobe Application manager it still shows Up to date, and i don't see any option to install it again.
What is solution guys?

This is an issue with some users.
Re: Muse CC 2014 hangs opening page.
With regards to not being able to re-install Muse2014, you could try to log out of Creative Cloud.
Then log back in and see if it clears the program.

danke für den Hinweis, ich kenne mich da nicht so gut aus, hab mal ein screenshot gemacht ob die Zugriffsrechte richtig sind?
Nach wie vor hab ich immer noch das selbe problem.
Hab schon mehrmals Muse deinstalliert, FDP Rechte repariert, Safemodus etc. leider alles ohne Erfolg.
Das komische ist wenn ich ein neuen Benutzer anlege funktioniert das Einwandfrei.

Updated to Adobe Muse CC 2014, 2 days ago and I CANT even open it! It keeps on displaying the same ASSERTION FAILED IN FILE error.

I love muse and have been using for years now. A couple of days ago I was really exited that they had a new version the ADOBE MUSE CC 2014 so I updated it in my laptop. Now it wont even open. I had spent the last 3 days uninstalling and reinstalling MUSE CC 2014 thinking that it would help. But nothing works. I keep on having the same ASSERTION FAILED IN FILE error. At this point I am pretty much desperate and do not know really what to do and to make matters worse I have freelance work that needs to be done and update. If anyone can help I would really appreciated it.
In addition, if anyone from the MUSE CC SUPPORT TEAM is reading this, please work on making access to you guys easier. I honestly could not find a way to talk to anyone from the ADOBE MUSE CC support team about this problem.

I had the same problem but good news is I found the reason of problem and solution;
I was using Windows 7 in English with timezone setting for Turkey. Adobe Muse was in English and had same problem, to solve this issue I even installed new Windows but it happened again.
Solution is easy, I just changed Muse language settings from English to Turkish and so far so good i never had any crash or problem.

Muse CC 2014.1 becomes totally unresponsive on opening site created in 2014.0

Since upgrading to 2014.1 Muse freezes on opening my last current project and becomes completely unresponsive every time.. I had no issues on 2014.0.   The only thing I can see is it has is "Project Name - Converted" I can't interact with it, and stuck with a beach ball. I have to use Activity Monitor to force quit. I have at least 3 other muse site files doing the exact same thing. None of these are that terribly complicated or large.
OSX 10.9.4, fully up to date.   I have closed all apps, completely rebooted and still having the same issue.   Anyone else having similar problems?   I have the "Force quit" error report I can private message to support.
Edit:   I have emailed the muse file to [email protected]   As stated above, this is not the only site that is a problem, but the main one I need to work on.

mythiix, please download the file http://muse.adobe.com/assets/ftp2014fix.zip, unzip it, and save the contained file "ftpPrefs.xml" to the following location:
On Windows: %appdata%\Roaming\Adobe\Adobe Muse CC\2014.1 (You can copy and paste this in the Path bar at the top of the Windows Explorer window.)
On Mac: ~/Library/Preferences/Adobe/Adobe Muse CC/2014.1 (You can copy and paste this in the Go To Folder dialog using Shift+Command+G in the Finder.)
I believe the hang on open is a result of Muse attempting to check to see whether In-Browser Editing has been used to make updates to your published site and the FTP server on the host being slightly misconfigured. Muse uses FTP Extended Passive Mode (EPSV). It's generally the preferred mode for optimal performance, but we're finding some hosting providers have FTP servers configured such that EPSV is not supported or EPSV only works if you're inside the same firewall as the FTP server. The ftpPrefs.xml file above, turns off EPSV mode. So if that is the problem in this case, putting that file in place should enable you to successfully open your .muse files and upload to your FTP host without hanging/crashing.
Please give this a try and let us know whether or not it enables you to open your files and use File > Upload to FTP Host from within Muse. Thanks.

Photoshop CC 2014 crashes in OSX 10.9.4

I am using a MacBook Pro mid 2010 with OSX 10.9.4 and Photoshop CC 2014 crashes on opening with a message "Could not initialise Photoshop because of a program error."
I also have the previous version Photoshop CC and it runs fine. Anyone experiencing the same?

Adobe releases what looks like a fix for the myriad issues that have cropped up in Muse CC(2014)--BTW the worst name change ever--and then doesn't link to the fixes in CC or indicate that this is anything but the last release. The (2014) makes it seem like you're going to release yearly like most of the 3D programs that name this way and (Hotfix 1) makes it sound like there's more Hotfixes in the pipeline. Why not try something like numbering your versions and then adding update numbers--just like other software makers do?
This is just plain dumb. Musers are already angry about this botched 64--bit transition and now you deliver along list of fixes for what was obviously a buggy, not-ready update and then--well, then …nothing. The only reason I knew it was a new update was that I wanted to take screen shots of the non-working version of Muse CC (2014) --it just rolls off the tongue-- that I've installed and uninstalled FIVE times now!!!! And that's when I can get it to download which isn't very often. I've tried to get answers in chat, on the forum, and e-mail to moderators--this is just plain frustrating.
Please talk to your users. Is it really that difficult to just send an e-mail to known users or to flag the change in CC or change the (bad to begin with) version name so that people actually know what program they're running?
