MUSE CC 2014 SCROLL FX BUG

Any scroll fx (Motion & opacity) doesn't work when published to businesscatalyst with Muse CC 2014 . All scroll fx are disabled. Scroll Fx are working correctly in local HTML and preview but when publish it to businesscatalyst.com all scroll fx doesn't work.
This bug seems only on businesscatalyst.com.

I received your email and am waiting for your reply with the .muse site to investigate further.
Thanks,

  • Muse CC 2014 Slideshow Horizontal Scrolling Thumbnails (Possible?)

Good afternoon Muse Forum: My name is Ira Bitner from NYC U.S.A.
How are you? I have a question regarding slideshow and thumbnails in MUSE CC 2014.
Q: In Muse is it possible to have a Slideshow with Scrolling Horizontal Thumbnails? In other words is it possible to build a slideshow where, for instance, maybe 30 thumbnails are used but only 5 or so are visible in a horizontal row under the main ("hero" image) and when an arrow is clicked the thumbnails advance horizontally to the left bringing up the new group of thumbnails that were, "hidden" on the original horizontal row? This allows the site to contain many more thumbnails than can "fit" on the page and at the same time not cause the extra thumbnails to be made to be stacked vertically all on the same page seen all at once?
This is a very popular way to show a slideshow that advances the images. I have spent all night and hours and hours researching Muse in the forums, videos, tutorials web-wide and have not been able to find a way to achieve this kind of slideshow. I would have thought the actual slideshow widget would have made it very  evident if this was actually possible to build in Muse. Please help. If you need any website link as an example of the slideshow advancing thumbnail horizontally I'll add one, but it is very common and I can't believe Muse would not allow this to be built.  Thank you for your time and and any clarity anyone could shed on this for me.

You can try using compositions and then slideshow within composition.
In composition target container insert the slideshow and as set of slides create different slideshows for separate composition containers.
    It would similar effect.

  • What is happening about fixing the bug that prevents me from downloading the updated version of Muse CC 2014

I managed to upload to an external host server (Vidahost.com) but it only only showed an older unmodified version of my site. I used the FTP upload and selected ALL files then tried to upload modified files only. Here is what I received:
'This site was exported from an older version of Muse. Please update to Muse CC 2014 and then upload the site again in orer to use In-Browser Editing.
Some bug in the CC Manager is telling me Muse is updated and the latest Muse CC 2014 is on my machine - or is it a bug in Muse?
Help appreciated while I have a go at rebuilding the site in Dreamweaver.
    Cheers
    Bill Watters

Hi, Thank you for your help.  Please note that I have upload and launched my site to Business Catalyst which was a seamlessly smooth operation. See http://bilyzcom.businesscatalyst.com
Using Programs & Features I uninstalled Muse and Muse 2014.  Then I uninstalled and re-installed the Adobe Creative Cloud.   I then restarted my computer before going to Adobe Creative Cloud and downloading Muse CC 2014. I opened my site at bilyz.com and attempted to upload to FTP. First I tried to upload ALL files but the upload kept stopping and saying it failed to upload but to click resume. Then I tried again but this time tried to upload modified files only but met with same result.
I observed that the upload seemed to be having problems and hanging at 62% before giving me the option to click resume. This stop / start progress continued for over half an hour until I abandoned the upload and returned to muse 'Design'. I then changed the name of each image file from, for example, from 'best%20help' to 'best_help'.  After I had changed every image's name I tried to upload again only to notice that the external server was continuing to upload images with the old name.
I cannot be sure if I have the updated version of Muse as I cannot fully upload to the external server which would then give me access to the In-Browser Edit Process.
If you open http://bilyz.com and compare it with http://bilyzcom.businesscatalyst.com you will see the updated version that uploaded without any problems to business catalyst..

  • Adobe muse 8 / 2014 - slideshow scroll effect

I've just downloaded muse 2014 and have being scratching my head for 3 hours trying to figure out how to put a tiled vertical scroll effect on a slideshow And pre-setting motion to 0. Slideshow is positioned at the top of the page (as a banner) and I don't want it to move but act as a mask when the user scrolls. You can easily do it with a rectangle filled with an image which looks great but unfortunately I can't find a way of having the same effect with a slideshow. Possible improvement for version 8.1? Any ideas anybody?! Many thanks

I contacted the support, thats what he got for me:
"...any Edge animate file can be used in Muse but if you want the edge animation to work with the mouse scroll then you will have to use the action script (javascript) for that"
    http://www.adobe.com/inspire/2014/01/parallax-edge-animate.html

    http://tv.adobe.com/watch/learn-adobe-muse-cc/apply-scroll-effects-to-an-edge-animation/
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=75tPMsI0d8k
I did not test the code yet.
The last two tutorials don't work like this, because this function obviously does not work in Muse 2014.2.

  • [BUG] Muse CC 2014 ignores install location

    Can you fix it?

    Hello community
With the recent upgrade of Adobe Muse DC 2014, now I have two versions installed Adobe Muse v. 7.4 (32 bit) and Adobe Muse CC 2014 (64 bits). The problem is that in the "Adobe Muse CC 2014" version I get as shareware (TRIAL 30 days) I count on annual subscription for Adobde Muse. If someone could give me a solution for this problem because practically Muse would be obliged to pay again for Muse in version 2014 and taking a credit for one year with the old version.
    Thanks

  • Can't get HTML iframe to work in Muse CC 2014

I'm having some trouble with iframes in Muse CC 2014. I'm using Adobe Captivate 8 to create interactive tutorials. Catptivate then exports a tutorial as an HTML 5 web page into a folder with all of it's related content. I want to place that HTML 5 page into an iframe in Muse. I've tried following all of the advice on this discussion:
    Re: Using iframes in Muse.
I've also followed all of the advice on this Adobe tutorial:
Adobe Muse Help | Getting started with Adobe Muse, Part 6
By the way, I believe that the tutorial above has an error. Under the heading "Adding iframes to your site to display other site pages with embedded HTML" it suggests this code:
    <iframe title="A Title for this Content" src="http://yoururlhere.com" width="900" height="500" style="border: 0;"></iframe>
I think that the error is in style="border: 0;"
But to continue with my problem. In Muse I chose "insert HTML" and typed the code below:
    <iframe name="gs3" src="http://vid1alearnerpower.businesscatalyst.com/lessons/gs3/index.html" width="1024" height="800” frameborder="0" scrolling=“no” seamless></iframe>
I wrote that code based on my amatuerish knowledge and what I read at w3schools. The preview in Muse doesn't show anything, so I published it here:
    GS4: Online Skills
Again, the page just shows an empty iframe where the HTML 5 page should load. I've triple checked the URL, and I'm sure that it works.
I've also tried using the iFrame Builder Lite add-on (iFrame Builder Lite | Exchange | Adobe Muse CC). It has the same problem, which you can see on the published page here:
    iFrame Test
Can anybody see what I'm doing wrong?

    <iframe src="http://www.apple.com" width=“100%” height=“1600” frameborder="no”></iframe>

  • Muse CC 2014: Text box position not rendering accurately

While trying to get into Muse CC 2014, i just did a most simple intro page for some friends who want to start their first online business.
I am a total stickler for single pixel precision, but when i uploaded the simple design to their server, the tag line "the art of modern design" appeared about 3px to the left of where it is in my Muse project...in order to align it properly on their server, i had to move it 3px to the right in Muse and re-publish...this is obviously no solution for the me, as i shouldn't have to misalign my elements in Muse to make them align in the browser...i've tried Chrome (my default browser) and Safari, and am running the latest versions of them and OS X Mavericks.
here is a screen-cap and zoom (with and without text-boxes and 1px rectangle selected) of my Muse UI to show where the tag line is positioned...i know you have to be a stickler for pixels to even see it, but it's part of my design style and important to me:
Is anything known about a Muse bug that would cause this behavior, and any work-around (other than what i am doing right now)? i'd love to really get into Muse, but if this is a sign of things to come, i may have to look elsewhere...any suggestions/feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Hard to tell from the screenshots. A couple nuances of text wrap that may be unexpected:
    1) If you select an item with text wrap and move it up or down in Design view, that will move the item but will not change the area that is knocked out for text wrap purposes. Thus text can overlap on object that has text wrap applied if the item has been moved up or down while in the text flow.
    2) Where an object is inserted in a flow is important. Generally it will provide the most predictable behavior if the graphic is inserted at the very start of a paragraph. If a graphic is inserted in the middle of a paragraph and text wrap is applied, exactly where the graphic will appear will be dependent on how the browser line breaks the text of the paragraph before where the graphic was inserted. A change in line breaks can result in the graphic appearing a line higher or lower in one browser versus another, since every browser has it's own text layout engine.
Assuming neither of the 2 points above fit what you're seeing, it's probably most expedient to send us the .muse file along with a link to this thread for context at [email protected] and a note to let us know where to find the problem situation within the file so we can see the exact situation and settings for what you're encountering. If the file is larger than 20Mb you'll want to send it using a service such as Adobe Send, WeTransfer, Dropbox, etc. Thanks.

I updated to Muse CC (2014.2) recently, but this morning it appeared in my Creative Cloud menu as needing to be updated again. Is that a minor upgrade with the exact same name?

The update is for few bug fixes and will show 2014.2 in CC as the update includes hotfix : Release notes | Adobe Muse CC
For exact version details you can check about muse from Muse menu options.

  • Muse cc 2014 - browser fill can't set back to transparent

in muse cc 2014 i can set my browser fill to any solid color, but then when I try and set it back to "transparent/none" it doesn't work...
not sure why, is this a bug?..
    -thanks

It's not currently supported by Muse, but there is a case where it's useful. Using an <iframe> one web page can appear within another. In that context you sometimes want the child web page to have a transparent background so the content of the web page it's appearing within is visible.

  • Greyed out Menu in Muse CC 2014

So I recently updated to the new Adobe Muse program, however, whenever I try to convert my previous website into the application. It seems all of the menus are greyed out. So basically I can't do anyhting toher than look at my website... I'm using the trial version of Adobe Muse CC 2014. Is this the new trial limitation? Or is my program bugged?
Any help would be appreciated as I can't wait to get my hands and try out the new program!

So it seems to be fixed! The first thing I did was uninstall Adobe Muse CC 2014 along with all the previous Muse installations. I then re-installed just Muse CC 2014, and made sure to have Creative Cloud running while I opened Muse. All of the options now show up. If I don't have Creative Cloud running while I open Muse, it goes back to being greyed out. Really strange....
However, now when I open Muse I get this error. But if I don't close that window or click "Okay", I can still use Muse.... weird.
Anyways, hope that helps anyone else having this problem! Works for now, hopefully Adobe can push out an update to fix this.

  • Adobe Muse CC (2014) (Hotfix 1)--Huh?

Adobe releases what looks like a fix for the myriad issues that have cropped up in Muse CC(2014)--BTW the worst name change ever--and then doesn't link to the fixes in CC or indicate that this is anything but the last release. The (2014) makes it seem like you're going to release yearly like most of the 3D programs that name this way and (Hotfix 1) makes it sound like there's more Hotfixes in the pipeline. Why not try something like numbering your versions and then adding update numbers--just like other software makers do?
This is just plain dumb. Musers are already angry about this botched 64--bit transition and now you deliver along list of fixes for what was obviously a buggy, not-ready update and then--well, then …nothing. The only reason I knew it was a new update was that I wanted to take screen shots of the non-working version of Muse CC (2014) --it just rolls off the tongue-- that I've installed and uninstalled FIVE times now!!!! And that's when I can get it to download which isn't very often. I've tried to get answers in chat, on the forum, and e-mail to moderators--this is just plain frustrating.
Please talk to your users. Is it really that difficult to just send an e-mail to known users or to flag the change in CC or change the (bad to begin with) version name so that people actually know what program they're running?

You can get the 2014.2 update from the Creative Cloud Desktop Application, or by visiting creative.adobe.com.

  • Adobe Muse CC (2014) - Installation Fails, then Finishes, but no application.

I'm having trouble installing Muse. the installer gets to 84% and fails.
I've uninstalled, repaired permissions, booted from repair partition and repaired, zapped PRAM and then tried them all again twice, but it still doesn't install.
Here's the error that I get:
Clicking the link only takes me to a blank Summery.htm
I've seen this thread but it didn't fix anything: Update Muse CC failed, I tried again but it didn't work. All other 6 updates succeeded. Message was: installation failur…
And I've tried everything on this page multiple times: Creative Cloud Help | Install, update, or uninstall apps
After clicking on "Retry" multiple times, it eventually installs, but the application is not in my Application folder and is nowhere to be found. I quit the Creative cloud app and relaunch it after a "Successful Install'" but the application isn't installed and the CC app shows that I need to upgrade it.
Muse CC shows up as installed even though I uninstalled it.
I've updated it several times, but it still will either fail, or finish and not actually install anything.
    ** UPDATE **
Tried installing on another computer. while the install said it failed, the application appeared in the application folder and it worked. It failed at 84-85% and apparently the uninstaller wasn't installed. I copied the Muse CC 2014 folder to my machine, restarted the creative cloud app and everything works. no idea why the CC app fail to install Muse, but the act of uninstalling it the first time removed my ability to reinstall Muse. It's working now but was a pain.

Same thing here. Will have to work with ver. 7.4 until you guys figure out what the issue is. Please let me know how to resolve.
This update installation process is completely different from previous ones where updates would install within Muse application; this update takes you to Adobe application website - offers "Download" of Muse 2014. This is confusing to me...does this mean download a completely new Muse or install an update? Clicking download offers me all CC applications "Try, try, try" etc. or, for Muse to "Install". Clicking install eventually brought me to OP's issue above.
    Please help...

Is it possible to have two versions of Muse on one Machine?  WhenI open Muse from my program menu in WIndows 7 it comes up the way I am used to.  I did an upgrade a week or so ago and now I have an Adobe Muse CC 2014 on my desktop.  WhenI open the application that way the GUI interface looksw totally different, more like Illustrator.  What is that all about?

Since posting the above, I have resolved a sensible work-around in regard to ebookstores which prefer us to have separate accounts for our separate Adobe IDs.
However, I really would appreciate it if anyone here can confirm that a DRM controlled book does actually become associated with a particular Adobe ID account at the time of first download to Digital Editions on that PC/device.
Two large book stores have said using my account with them to download books to our two separate Adobe IDs is OK, but I don't want to find my husband is unable to open his downloaded books.
Thank you folks for any advice you can give,
    Sue
