Muse CC 2014 STILL doesn't support tables!!
While I do love the additions in Muse 2014 I can't believe we still do not have a way to insert a table through the application. While tables should not be used for layout they are still useful for displaying tabular data. I don't really want to draw rectangles and align them etc... this might be ok for small tables (like price tables) but for a lot of data this is very time consuming.
So my question is when are we going to have a robust table tool in Muse CC?
-thanks
I'm calm and patient. Blood pressure, check.
All I'm saying is that I am paying a good chunk of change each month for continual updates, so I am glad that they are constantly improving and updating the app for my money. I have just seen lots of people posting about table support dating at least as far back as early 2013 and I find it odd that it still isn't built in. Tables are a rudimentary HTML design element that have been used long before anyone cared about true graphical design on websites, yet Muse supports all kinds of higher-level elements like rounded corners on rectangles, drop shadows, and motion scroll effects.
Just interesting is all. Not mad and not hating, just observing and commenting as one is encouraged to do by Adobe themselves.

Still doesn't support widescreen resoloutions?
My display's native resolution is 1440 x 900. I accepted that I had to use 3rd party drivers in Tiger, but do I really still need to now?
Tom, not quite sure why you are on my case with this. Are you grumpy to everyone, or just those trying to help?
Clearly you don't think I meant it when I said all you need to do is choose Arabic and you can type RTL in Arabic. Did you try it out? If you did you'd find it works.
Here's what I did.
I found some Arabic text.
I created a new blank document in Keynote.
I selected a new page, and clicked on the 'bullet text' input panel.
I changed the input language from English to Arabic.
When I did this, the bullets moved from the left side of the frame to the right.
I pasted in the arabic text with "match style"
The text appeared as multiple bullets on the RHS of the frame.
Here is a picture of the results...
That's it isn't it? Or do you still think I "did not understand the issues"?
In passing, I think I know how you end up with Arabic text with bullets on the left. If you start typing in a bullet box with the language set to English, the bullets are on the LHS. If you then paste text "into" the English text, the arabic is inserted 'inline' (much the same way that French or German might be). I think then you end up with bullets on the LHS, but arabic text in the bullet. In a kooky way I think OS X / Keynote is actually trying to be helpful (the 'insert text' model would be the right thing if you wanted to, for example, quote a single Arabic word in the middle of a sentence - it would be bonkers if the whole paragraph went RTL because of one word).
I suspect that's what a.moshrif was doing when he was having a problem.
Finally, just for the record, neither MS Office or iWork 09 support RTL text on a Mac. One of the reasons that Macs are not so popular in the Middle East... -
Update to Muse CC 2014.3 still have problem upload to FTP: Server not responding in time, FTP may not be supported on this server [Connection timed out after 15001 millseconds.] I have no problem with CC 2014. Can you suggest what do I have to do?
Hello.
Today I got the opportunity to work with a Muse user with the same issue after performing the troubleshooting steps in the post above we decided to contact the host.
Later i came to know that host took Muse user's IP and they were able to unblock it and muse started connecting to FTP host.
I another scenario Host suggested Muse user to add :21 to the FTP address and then Muse was able to connect.
Eg ftp.domain.com:21
Please try the 2 suggestion above and let me know if it works.

iMac 24" iMac (iMac7,1), Intel Core 2 Duo 2,8 GHz Ram 4 MB running OS 10.6.8: impossible upgrade to Mac OSX Mavericks. Already created second account, according to apple online support, but still doesn't work. Thanks for help.
Your Mac is definitely one of the supported models? http://www.apple.com/uk/osx/specs/
If so, what happens when you try to download? Is it a case of nothing happens? If so, take a look at the suggestions under 'Stalled Download' in this link:
http://www.wired.com/gadgetlab/2013/10/mavericks-issues-and-fixes/#slideid-23477 1
Also, some usrs have found that logging out of the Mac App Store and then back in again and starting over has kick-started the download. It seems that the 5+gb download can take a long time to give any feedback as to what's happening. -

Muse CC 2014.3 crashing on upload to FTP
Though I've made updates to my site in before, Muse CC 2014.3 is now crashing on upload to FTP. I have tried to research this, but have yet to see an answer that fits. As I am only uploading changed content to my main home page it should not be difficult for Muse. Perhaps there is something on my end that has caused this situation. The progress bar reaches about 6%, stops and crashes. I have attached the crash report below for review. I have also tried exporting for HTML as well with the same result. FYI: I did try exporting to HTML a practice website and did the "preview this site in browser..." and was successful. So it initially appears that there is something in my site. The problem with that though is that I am only deleting an element, not adding or changing items. HELP!!

It would be helpful to know whether the crash occurs if the links to the external files are broken. if you rename the folder containing the images and open and output your file without fixing the links, does the crash still occur? If so, that would indicate the crash is triggered by image data within the .muse file. If that's the situation we'll need to have you send us the .muse file so we can further diagnose and repair the problem. If the crash doesn't occur with the links broken, then it's being triggered by an external image file. By re-linking sets of files you may be able to identify the problem file. Assuming the image can be opened in Photoshop without errors, opening it in PS and re-saving will avoid the crash. (If it does turn out to be an external image file, we'd be grateful if you could send us a copy of it. If it's malformed, it should result in an error message and not a crash.)
You can send files to [email protected] along with a link to this thread for context. If the file is larger than 20Mb you can use a service like Adobe SendNow, Dropbox, WeTransfer, etc. (If you use a service, please include your return e-mail address in the body of the message, since not all services include it in the sharing invite they send.) How do you control hiDPI image optimization in Muse CC 2014?
Hi,
I'm using the new hi-DPI feature in Muse CC 2014 that supports image assets for hi resolution screens. The website I'm building is a portfolio site and need to make sure that images look good on both 72 dpi and hi-res screens. I'm finding that Muse is over optimizing @2x images when exporting for preview—especially for the assets used for 72dpi screens. When I export the site to preview in browser, I'm assuming that is the image quality that can be expected when publishing the site. Can I just optimize the images using Photoshop and replace them on the FTP host site after publishing or is there a better method? Is it possible to preview the manually optimized images before publishing?
Thanks for any suggestions.Okay, I'm answering my own question since I figured out at least one solution. Probably pretty basic stuff for anyone that's familiar with Muse and publishing, but this is my first Muse site.
From Muse, export the html files to your local drive.
View the site in your browser and check for image quality.
Replace files in the "images" folder that are not good quality with images that you've optimized manually, making sure you use the exact same file names.
Refresh your browser to view new images.
I'm testing on a 72 dpi desktop and a hi-res display laptop. It doesn't look like the files I'm using are too large. Pages should still load quickly.
Once your satisfied with the new images upload to FTP host.
I think this works fairly well, but if anyone has a better method, please post. I also am interested in using business catalyst to track traffic on the site. I would imagine you can simply replace image files directly on the FTP server if you publish using Catalyst. -
I'm having trouble installing Muse. the installer gets to 84% and fails.
I've uninstalled, repaired permissions, booted from repair partition and repaired, zapped PRAM and then tried them all again twice, but it still doesn't install.
Here's the error that I get:
Clicking the link only takes me to a blank Summery.htm
I've seen this thread but it didn't fix anything: Update Muse CC failed, I tried again but it didn't work. All other 6 updates succeeded. Message was: installation failur…
And I've tried everything on this page multiple times: Creative Cloud Help | Install, update, or uninstall apps
After clicking on "Retry" multiple times, it eventually installs, but the application is not in my Application folder and is nowhere to be found. I quit the Creative cloud app and relaunch it after a "Successful Install'" but the application isn't installed and the CC app shows that I need to upgrade it.
Muse CC shows up as installed even though I uninstalled it.
I've updated it several times, but it still will either fail, or finish and not actually install anything.
** UPDATE **
Tried installing on another computer. while the install said it failed, the application appeared in the application folder and it worked. It failed at 84-85% and apparently the uninstaller wasn't installed. I copied the Muse CC 2014 folder to my machine, restarted the creative cloud app and everything works. no idea why the CC app fail to install Muse, but the act of uninstalling it the first time removed my ability to reinstall Muse. It's working now but was a pain.Same thing here. Will have to work with ver. 7.4 until you guys figure out what the issue is. Please let me know how to resolve.
This update installation process is completely different from previous ones where updates would install within Muse application; this update takes you to Adobe application website - offers "Download" of Muse 2014. This is confusing to me...does this mean download a completely new Muse or install an update? Clicking download offers me all CC applications "Try, try, try" etc. or, for Muse to "Install". Clicking install eventually brought me to OP's issue above.

Menu Bar In Muse CC 2014 vs. Menu Bar in Muse V7.4
Ok! I admit to old age and failing eye sight but I something I do not understand is why are their two versions of Muse and which one should I be using? Muse 2014 appears to have more features but the menu bar and subsequent drop down menu's are extremely small and are useless to me. My OS is Windows 8.1 - 64 - with a screen resolution of 2560 x 1440 and magnified to 150%. The menu bar is still to small for me to see it plainly. When I switch to Muse V7, the menu bar and subsequent drop down menus are fine. This 7.4 version seems to have reduced features than Muse 2014 has. Is Muse CC a beta? I have attempted to contact Adobe about this but gave up. I like Muse over Dreamweaver but at this point I guess I have to give up with Muse. It appears to me, over the years Adobe has completely dropped the ball with customer service. To date, I still can not install Adobe Animation Edge even after being of the chat circuit with a member of their non US Tech Support Personal. I pay monthly to have available all of Adobe's programs and over the years have rarely asked for their assistance. I would really like to know what is the difference between the two versions of Muse and "IF" there are any plans to increase the Menu Bar in Muse CC 2014. I noticed this same Menu Bar size now appears in Photoshop. I apologize for the length and do thank you for your time. - Over 65 and still kicking.
Hi Ameen,
Please check the link below, I hope it will help you fix it.

Muse CC 2014.1 becomes totally unresponsive on opening site created in 2014.0
Since upgrading to 2014.1 Muse freezes on opening my last current project and becomes completely unresponsive every time.. I had no issues on 2014.0. The only thing I can see is it has is "Project Name - Converted" I can't interact with it, and stuck with a beach ball. I have to use Activity Monitor to force quit. I have at least 3 other muse site files doing the exact same thing. None of these are that terribly complicated or large.
OSX 10.9.4, fully up to date. I have closed all apps, completely rebooted and still having the same issue. Anyone else having similar problems? I have the "Force quit" error report I can private message to support.
Edit: I have emailed the muse file to [email protected] As stated above, this is not the only site that is a problem, but the main one I need to work on.mythiix, please download the file http://muse.adobe.com/assets/ftp2014fix.zip, unzip it, and save the contained file "ftpPrefs.xml" to the following location:
On Windows: %appdata%\Roaming\Adobe\Adobe Muse CC\2014.1 (You can copy and paste this in the Path bar at the top of the Windows Explorer window.)
On Mac: ~/Library/Preferences/Adobe/Adobe Muse CC/2014.1 (You can copy and paste this in the Go To Folder dialog using Shift+Command+G in the Finder.)
I believe the hang on open is a result of Muse attempting to check to see whether In-Browser Editing has been used to make updates to your published site and the FTP server on the host being slightly misconfigured. Muse uses FTP Extended Passive Mode (EPSV). It's generally the preferred mode for optimal performance, but we're finding some hosting providers have FTP servers configured such that EPSV is not supported or EPSV only works if you're inside the same firewall as the FTP server. The ftpPrefs.xml file above, turns off EPSV mode. So if that is the problem in this case, putting that file in place should enable you to successfully open your .muse files and upload to your FTP host without hanging/crashing.
Please give this a try and let us know whether or not it enables you to open your files and use File > Upload to FTP Host from within Muse. Thanks. -
I can't import MXF files shot on a Canon C300 into FCP 10.1.2. I have the Canon plug in for MXF file to FCP import but FCPX still doesn't recognize MXF files when I try to import. Premiere works fine importing MXF on the same computer. Any help is appreciated.
Russ and Luis,
I did uninstall and re-install Canon XF Utility and the Canon FCPX plug in. Still no luck. I checked the CanonXF64.RADPlug folder is on my computer in the Rad Plugins folder in application support This is where it is supposed to be as far as I can figure out.
Another piece of the puzzle is that footage shot on a Canon C300 in 2013 and I reimported today and it DOES import into FCP10.1.3. Footage shot on a different Canon C300 filmed this summer will NOT import into FCPX. The latter will import into Premiere. But I am trying to work in FCPX, but maybe I shouldn’t be??
Any ideas? (screen shots below)
Thanks.
Peace, Huey
FYI Here is what Canon says
"There is another trick that works sometimes though. Try uninstalling the plugin and XF Utility. Then, install the latest XF Utility, followed by the plugin, in that order."
I did do this but no results. Otherwise they say I need to wait for a new plugin.
Here's 2014 Canon C300 files does NOT import to FCPX
Here's 2013 Canon C300 files does import into FCPX. I thought it was Contents folder but another set of footage shot on C300 does import and there is no contents folder for that. -
IE 8 is supposed to be supported by muse CC 2014 but its not in the case of rotated transparent images.. Did not have this problem in the previous version of Muse. The code did not have progid:DXImageTransform.Microsoft.Matrix... now it does...
Had to add ie8 specific css and code to the page and use a composite image instead of the individual images to get a page with no black boxes...

Muse cc 2014 - browser fill can't set back to transparent
in muse cc 2014 i can set my browser fill to any solid color, but then when I try and set it back to "transparent/none" it doesn't work...
