Muse CC 204.3 - Bad installation catalog

Hi,
I've updated Muse via CC and installation went to C:\Program Files\Adobe\ - there is no folder like Adobe Muse CC 2014.3 - like in previous version 2014.2 and less.

Hi,
i've uninstalled all CC and installed again with default location - and now it's ok.

  • Bad installer for 'Flash Player 11.7.700.261' released on 2/4/2014?

Hi, where can we get a good installer for Flash Player 11.7.700.261? It seems like the one available at this link is a bad one: http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/archived-flash-player-versions.html#main_Archived_F lash_Player_versions_for_developers. After you download it, you will get an error when you try to unzip it.
    -- Team OCD.

I just downloaded fp_11.7.700.261_archive.zip and unzipped it with no problems.
The file size should be 143,718 KB (147,166,947 bytes); if you have anything else, then you got a corrupted download.
If you need an alternate download, tell us exactly what installers you need.

  • Adobe Muse CC hangs @ 84% during installation

I have installed a couple of programs this evening, Premier Pro & Acrobat.  I have been trying to install Muse and Photoshop this evening and keep running into problems upon problems.  Muse continues to hang at 84% into installation.  The last couple of log entires are as follows:

  • Download Muse Widget without the CC installation?

I just bought an Adobe Muse Widget, but I cannot DL the CC for my desktop. So... How do I actually retrieve my purchase / download without the CC installation?

I can't DL CC due to my operating system. I'm running an older Mac Pro with 10.6.8.fig
I figured it out by using Adobe's Extension Manager. It's a pretty useful program that I had never used before.
Thanks for the feedback, though. Much appreciation!

  • Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro...bad installation?

I recently installed the entire CS4 Design Premium onto Vista OS.
The program itself seems to open fine. But after installing this, everytime I right-click on any icon or file (even if all I want to do is check properties or somehting), an installing window appears and acts like the Acrobat program is trying to install. The green progress bar just repeatedly starts and stops until I hit cancel. Once I hit cancel, I can continue either opening the file or checking its properties.
Do I have a bad install or is this a Vista issue?
Anyone else had tis problem and what can be done to correct it?
    Any help is greatly appreciated!

This happens when I right click on ANYTHING at all, I can even just right-click on the desktop and that install window comes on!
The program itself opens fine separately. I 'll be honest, I haven't used it much as I am just learning all the programs, so if it is actually working correctly I don't know. I do know that I tried to used the "covert to pdf" button while on Internet Explorer and it would not work. Don't know if the problem is related or not...
I have that idiotic UAC off - it drove me crazy...

  • Drop down arrows on web parts don't appear to do anything. Bad installation? (2 questions)

I am working with SharePoint 2010 Foundation.  When I add a web part (a library, list, calendar, etc.) to the main page of my site, the body of the web part is fine.  However, there's a problem with the drop down arrow on the far right side of
the Title of the web part.  The last installation of SharePoint 2010 I worked with, that drop down arrow called up the Web Part Menu.  In this current installation, it does nothing.  This makes it difficult to define a view for the web page.
I'm assuming that the installation of SharePoint Foundation 2010 didn't quite work right or my security is set incorrectly.  (SharePoint is new to the organization and I have the best user skills.)  What does IT need to do to make the menu appear?
I also have SharePoint Designer 2010 installed on my desktop.  I can open Web Part Properties in SharePoint Designer 2010, but Views does not appear on this menu, either.  Is this just a limitation with SharePoint Designer 2010, or is this something
that IT also needs to fix (and how)?

    Hi Fredrik,
add the sharepoint site to the  Compatibility View mode in your browser.
I'm sure that you know how to do it but well... here: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/internet-explorer/use-compatibility-view#ie=ie-11
It looks like you are using Internet Explorer 11...

  • Bad installer with LV 8.2.1 application builder

    Hi,
I updated LV to 8.2.1 with the update available online. Now I need to build a new installer because the exe will need LV 8.2.1 RT (at least it does not work on a pc with 8.2 installed).
The build process runs fine so far, but when I try to use the installer, an error message with unfullfilled dependencies is shown. I tried to remove a few components but somehow every installer seems to yield this message...
    Any hints?
    Thanks,
    Carsten

    Hi,
I kind of solved the problem.
created a new installer spec: the old one seems not to update it's dependencies
deleted the directory where the installer is places: the build process dosn't seem to overwrite all old files as expected
So it seems to be a problem with the project manager not updating the specifiactions correctly (though the directories look ok on the additional installer tab)...
    Cheers,
    Carsten

  • Muse quits unexpectedly right after installation - user id mismatch

Just installed Muse for first time and program will not open because of User ID Mismatch. Have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the program. Please help.
    Cheers

    Hello,
please do the following steps and you will be all set.
    1. Sign out from Muse By going to Help > Sign out. (if you see the option to do that)
    2. Sign out from Creative Cloud Application. (Steps are mentioned in the link Sign out, Sign in | Creative Cloud Desktop app), then Quit Creative Cloud Application.
    3. Rename the "OOBE" folder to "OOBEold"
MAC : (This folder can be found at Finder > Go > Go to Folder> Type ~/library/application support/Adobe > Hit return)
Widows : ( This folder can be found at C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Adobe )
    4. Relaunch Muse, Sign in with your Adobe ID.
Please let me know if the steps above do not work or if you have any confusion.

  • How do I rectify bad installation?

OK, I have read that I should have repaired permissions before and after installation of 7.3.2. My Software Update didn't instruct me to do that, so I didn't, Now when I attempt to launch iTunes, it fails to open.
Will someone be kind enough to tell me how to rectify the situation.

I've seen it recommended for just about every OSX app, almost since OSX was introduced.
A number of us have noticed that on several of the upgrades the past couple of month, the repair permissions, post-installation have fixed several issues with the iTunes upgrade.
Sure, if you have a problem by all means you should repair permissions. However, in the absence of a problem, I see no reason for it. Yes, you're absolutely correct that it will not hurt but neither will howling at the moon.
Now perhaps there really is a good reason to routinely do a repair pre- and post-installation but, if that's the case, I would expect that by now Apple would make that recommendation. They haven't.

  • How to fix badly confused catalog??

I used to have two catalogs: one for current or recent shoots (basically 2009 photos), and another for older shoots that I'd finished processing and wanted to archive (basically 2007 and 2008 photos). I decided to merge the two catalogs. I thought I had everything set up properly and thought I knew what I was doing, when I imported the recent catalog (which has fewer photos) into the older catalog.
I can't tell for sure but it's possible that the import worked in the sense that all the files are now visible in one Lightroom catalog. But otherwise, it's a disaster.
Here's what I see in Windows Explorer (in other words, here's how the folders are organized on my hard disk):
    My Pictures
    --- RAW MASTERS
    --- --- 2007
    --- --- 2008
    --- --- 2009
Terrific. That's what I expect to see in Lightroom. But this is what I see in Lightroom. Well, no, what I actually see in Lightroom is even more messed up than this, but this will give you an idea:
    My Pictures
    --- RAW MASTERS
    --- --- 2007
    --- --- 2008
    --- RAW MASTERS
    --- --- 2009
    My Pictures
    --- RAW MASTERS
    --- --- 2009
Aaargh! I can't figure out what to do. I've tried synchronizing but that doesn't seem to work. And when I try to move the 2009 folder inside the second instance of RAW MASTERS up to the first instance, I'm told that a folder named 2009 already exists at that location and the move is prohibited.
Can anybody suggest a way out of this mess?
    Thanks in advance.
    Will

Update, based on new info (discovered since my first post), and also a report on how I appear to have resolved the problem.
    New information
In my first post, I showed that the My Pictures folder occurred twice in the Lightroom catalog. I initially thought that this was an example of Lightroom's confusion. Actually, that particular duplication was NOT a mistake on Lightroom's part. I just noticed that there were two folders defined on my C: drive inside the Documents and Settings folder, a folder named "Will" (= name of my login account) and a folder named "WP". The folder named "Will" is my actual login account folder, containing all of my documents (not just photos, but also web sites, etc.). The folder named "Will" contained nothing but a My Pictures folder. Inside that was ANOTHER My Pictures folder. And inside that there were a few photo folders. Weird. I have no idea where "WP" came from. Anyway I determined quickly that the few folders found in that odd location, namely,
    C:\Documents and Settings\WP\My Pictures\My Pictures\2009\
were duplicates of folders that are found in the right place (inside the copy of My Pictures that belonged to user hierarchy "Will"), so I deleted them. Then I synchronized that instance of the My Pictures folder in Lightroom - which caused it to be removed.
    Cleaning up the mess
That left me with just one My Pictures folder, which was progress. At this point, it looked like this:
    My Pictures
    ALL PIX RAW MASTERS
    2009
    ALL PIX RAW MASTERS
    2007
    2008
I confirmed that these two instances of "ALL PIX RAW MASTERS" were the same. As I mentioned earlier, I was unable to move the 2009 folder and its contents into the second instance of the parent folder, because Lightroom would tell me that there was already a folder named 2009 in that location, and for the same reason I could not move 2007 and/or 2008 into the first instance of the parent folder.
So what I did was create a new folder named simply "Raw" inside My Pictures. I created this folder in Lightroom. I was then able to move the three year folders into that new folder, which left me with this:
    My Pictures
ALL PIX RAW MASTERS (O FILES)
ALL PIX RAW MASTERS (O FILES)
    Raw
    2009
    2007
    2008
At which point I simply "removed" both instances of ALL PIX RAW MASTERS, and then renamed "Raw".
So it seems that I'm back in business.
    Brief opinion
Having just spent about 3 hours fighting with Lightroom, I hope I may be permitted to vent very slightly.
I like Lightroom 2.5 generally very much. I'm trying out the Lightroom 3 beta and like the improvements there, too. In addition to liking the program very much, I consider myself a fairly advanced user - not a kung fu master, but pretty adept. I routinely help other photographers with Lightroom matters.
My only serious complaint about Lightroom - a complaint I've had since version 1 - is that moving and merging and renaming folders in the hierarchy is confusing and fraught with peril. I am sure that Martin Evening has very few problems managing his catalogs. But most of us do this kind of thing - merging catalogs - only very seldom. And so it's natural that, when we need to manage folders and catalogs, we're going to be doing it tentatively, without confidence, and possibly without a complete grasp of what is expected. There are many possible scenarios here (moving one catalog to another hard disk, merging catalogs on the same disk, merging catalogs on different disk, splitting a catalog in two or three, etc.). So I think it's a bit much to expect a user to pull the books off the shelf and read the file management chapters of all of them, in order to understand what Lightroom expects of me.
That's why I think Lightroom does such a terrible job on this one score. I don't have this problem moving folders around on my hard disk directly, in the Windows Explorer. You should, I think, be able to move files around in Windows Explorer (or the Mac Finder) and have Lightroom sort the changes out automatically - or at least be able to sort them out when asked to do so.
At the same time that I was combining my Lightroom catalogs of raw files, I was also combining what were originally quite separate folder structures containing exported jpegs. I manage these in Picasa, not in Lightroom. With the jpegs, I simply moved the folders around in Windows Explorer and put them where I wanted them. When I opened Picasa 3.5, it had to spend a little time adjusting - but I did not have to do a thing. Picasa just sorts it out automatically.
I sometimes wish I could use Picasa as my file management tool and Lightroom simply for processing.
Anyway, let me say again how great I think Lightroom is as a digital darkroom for processing the thousands and thousands of images I have. I just wish it was easier to manage the folders in Lightroom.
    Will

  • Bad installation of Java Platform Micro Edition SDK 3.0 - Can't uninstall

    Hi,
I tried installing the Java Platform Micro Edition SDK 3.0 tonight and it didn't work (I guess the thing doesn't like it when you're running Win7 x64 with the latest JDK for some reason...). Anyways, it installed fine but on first run it got stuck at the nag screen with IOExceptions, etc. and never finished starting. So I decided to uninstall and guess what? I can't uninstall it because it tells me it can't run the uninstaller program since it can't load a win32 dll on a 64-bit machine...
So I resorted to deleting the folder and running a registry cleaner :/ However, so I can properly clean things up, I'd like to know where else the SDK put files or dlls and which ones.
    Thanks for your help!
    -LordPhoenix

I'm having exact the same problem, but I'm using Vista x64.
I tried to uninstall x64 version of the Java SE SDK and installed the x86 version instead, but it didn't help :/
So could please anyone post a solution to this.
EDIT: actually I at least managed to uninstall it using the SE SDK x86.
But still, is there any way to use Java ME SDK on Vista x64?

  • MySQL - how to remove bad installation and reinstall correctly.

I installed MySQL and I'm getting permissions errors on files, directories and also getting error messages regarding missing files. I'd like to completely remove MySQL and attempt to reinstall it. Can anyone give me detailed steps needed to remove MySQL, or point me somwhere that I might be able to find them? I'm running Leopard 10.5.2. Any & all help will be greatly appreciated.

Well, before reinstalling you could try this in Terminal:
    *cd /usr/local/mysql*
    *sudo ./scripts/mysqlinstalldb*
    *sudo chown -R mysql data/*
That will reinstall the default database and will take care of your permission errors (well, at least I hope so).

  • Erased machine, bad installer disk, cannot eject!

After experiencing numerous crashes on my fairly recently acquired macbook pro, I decided to erase and reinstall the system, which I had planned on doing anyway because I wanted to partition the disk. I used Disk utility to set up my partitions and started the install. After reaching less than 25% install an error appeared indicating there was something wrong with "Essentials" and the install would not continue. I retried a couple of times and got the same message. I have only used the disk to try and repair the original OS which didn't do any good. I'm guessing the disk is damaged but I cannot eject it! The machine has no OS! What do I do? Not a happy Mac camper right now.

ok. Ran the Hardware test and immediately got an error. Removed 1 ram chip, tried again, still error. Put the chip back in and removed the second one, bingo! No error! I repartitioned the drive and installed the OS no problems.
Now, what to do about the chip problem. I should think it falls under the hardware warranty. Anybody have any idea how that works? Can they check the chip, will they just take my word for it?
Thanks everyone for the help so far!
