Muse crashes during copy & paste of page title in page properties

Copying and pasting a page title from one page to another, causes a crash on the second or third paste.

Thanks so much for the reply. Here are the answers:
Where was the text originally copied from?The text was manually typed into the Page Title field in Page properties, then copied from there into the same field for other pages
Is the text pasted and then editing?Yes. The original line is 'Kingsdown Holiday Homes - Self Catering Chalet Rental at Kingsdown Park, Kent | Chalet 1b', and after pasting I change the Chalet number or words after the '|'
Is this referring to the Page Title in the Options section of the Page Properties dialog?I am accessing the page properties through CTRL-Click on each page, from the Plan view
How was the Page Properties dialog opened (from Page menu, from context menu in Plan view, from context menu in Design view, other)?See above

Crashing issue+ copy/ paste issue

Dear all, I am facing two serious bug issues:
1) on many www pages I am facing serious issue (e.g. www.makezine.com , but also on almost all others I was browsing). After approx 20 sec to several minutes firefox browser close itself and home android page appear. There is no error message at all
2) once I copy any text outside firefox browser, then I not end it to any text field on Web page opened under firefox browser, there is no way to paste it
Can you please fix these bugs? My smartphone is samsung galaxy s5, android v 4.2 (kitkat)

* 3. to fix this, the workaround I believe is to do the following instead of 2 iv):
** iv) tap on the checkmark icon first to make sure 'Aaa' is not selected and then long press and use the combined clipboard copy/paste icon to paste (or on some devices a Paste icon instead of the combined clipboard copy/paste icon will be shown and you can use this Paste icon). Copy & Paste whole pages in Thumbnail View?

Hi guys,
I've just done the latest Pages update in Mavericks 20/01/2014 and was hoping to see the copy&paste optyion return but to no avail....
Does anyone have an idea if/when they will be doing so?
I have 100 teachers with MacBooks at our Secondary School who love Pages '09 and I'm quickly losing their support for Macs due their documents in Pages being changed so much since the last update to Mavericks.
Would love to know if there is a light at the end of the tunnel???

Use Pages '09 it is still in their Applications/iWork folders.
If they don't want Pages 5 to open, archive or trash it.

Running the Lion Os requires a MINIMUM of 2 GB of RAM, as you have. However, with that little RAM the computer will have trouble with many memory based tasks, such as copying and pasting. You really need to increase the amount of RAM your computer has in order to increase its speed and performance. Now, when a task requires more RAM than your system has available then the OS will use some harddrive space temporarily instead. This is called "Virtual Memory." Is it possible that at this time that your harddrive is very full relative to its stated capacity, so that even "virtual memory" is not really available? If that is the case, you really need to cleanup your harddrive by deleting a fair number of less used files.

Muse crashes when trying to rename page filename

I was trying to shorten the file name on one of my pages and soon as I tried to uncheck the "Same As Page Name" option in Page Properties > Metadata it crashed.
Here's the error I got.
Adobe Muse encountered an unexpected error and will have to be terminated.
TypeError: Error #1009. Cannot access a property or method of a null object reference.
Anyone else experiencing this or have a way to fix this?

Try the workaround I suggested in that thread and let us know if that avoids the crash. This bug will be fixed in the next Muse release.

Need to read a pdf file (pdf file may contains 10-15 pages) from powerpoint (using VBA), go to a particular pdf page, copy the entire page and paste on the ppt slide. Can anyone share the vba code for this. Thanks.

Can you do it without VBA? I can't see anything designed to make this work except screen shots, which are nothing to do with Acrobat specifically.

Muse crashing when creating or duplicating page after update

Hi there,
I am currently working on a website, up until yesterday Muse was incredibly stable, not a single crash on the current project.
Unfortunately I did the update this morning, and now I am unable to create or duplicate any pages at all, whenever I try I get the error: Assert: "menuItemBox U3177 has no associated page!"
Just to do a bit of troubleshooting, I tried deleting the menu from the A-Master to see if that would fix it, but no luck at all.
Also restarted the computer, no luck.
Creating a page in a blank project works, but not the project I need it to work in.
Anyone have any suggestions on how to get Muse playing nice again?

I'm not quite sure whether I should mention my "crash" here also.
Anyway, Muse crashes all the time whenever I need to get rid of 2 pages in my Muse site which are not meant to be there in the first place.
It is quite a large site, and I can't get on modifing it since it crashes all the time.
Here is the messege I receive:
"menuItemBox U46751 has no associated page!"

How can I copy/paste a page from one pages document into another pages document?

I have read the directions in the manual, but when I go to the document where I want to put the page the paste function is greyed out. I assume this has something to do with styles, but can't find what to do.

Paste is greyed when we try to paste a page from a WP document into the thumbnails area of a Layout one.
It's active if we try to paste in the pages area.
In the document's tool bar, there is an icon with a + symbol at top left.
In WP documents it's named Sections, In Layout ones its named Pages.

Unwanted extra spaces during Copy/Paste in documment recognized by Acrobat OCR

I have Acrobat 9 (EN)
I created documment from images (JPG) then I applied OCR idexing in right language (Czech).
Now, if I Copy/Paste text than it add unwanted spaces (e.g. in the middle of words.
I tried to find answer.

You don't understand a problem. I have no .doc file, I have JPGs indexed by OCR that is included in Acrobat.
Probably, font used in scanned documment has too wide spaces between letters in word so Adobe OCR recognizes it like real space but it isn't there.
I would like to know how to eliminate these unwanted spaces.
Maybe OCR algorithm needs some change.

Copied/pasted group of components lose many properties

(Xcelsius 2008 SP1 FP1 5.1.1.0 (Build 12,1,1,344), Windows XP SP2)
After copying/pasting 120 or so grouped components all at once, the Value, Check box and Toggle components seemed to lose most of their properties. The main container within the group of copied objects is a panel container that included nested groups of labels, rectangles, values, check boxes and toggles.
Specific example: All Value components originally had a title position of "Left" and specific font name/sizes. They also had specific X axis offsets. And of course, each was pointed to a specific spreadsheet cell. The copies, however, reverted to the respective defaults for all properties minus the text of the titles. (This is of course not an exhaustive list of the affected components/properties).
I have already had experience copying smaller groups of components and did not see this effect, so I wonder if there is a threshold of some kind here.

Thank you, Purnima. Despite my fears, copying and pasting smaller groups within the larger nesting appears to be working out pretty well, so this may become a non-issue for me. Nevertheless, it would be great if a future version of Xcelsius would support larger groups within a copy and paste.

Copy/paste a page

I need to replicate a blog page 20 times for my students - there would only be a need for a few slight variations for each page. Is this possible? How?

Just tried a test by creating a blog page and then tried to duplicate it and it can't be duplicated. The blog page consists of two pages, the entries and archive and none can be duplicated.
If all of these blog pages going to be in one domain file you can do it with iWebSites as follows:
1 - using iWebSites duplicate your current domain file and rename it to BlogA
*Copy your ORIGINAL domain.sites2 file to another location on your HD for safekeeping during this process*
2 - open BlogA and delete all pages except the the blog page.
3 - in the Finder duplicate the BlogA page 19 times. You may have to rename some of the copies to get rid of the multiple copies in the name. Just rename then Blog 1 thru 20
NOTE: you could do all of the duplicating above from within iWebSites if you're comfortable with using it. Use whatever way works best for you.
4 - launch iWebsites. After it lists all of the domain files in your iWeb folder select the 20 files you want to join and use the Merge function.
That will give you a domain file in iWebSites that's called Blog1Blog2....
Open it, rename each blog page for a student or whatever and move it up to the top blog site. That will put all pages in the one site.
Although a bit convoluted as described above it will be more apparent when you actually launch iWebSites and start the process.
Again as a reminder make a backup copy of your current domain file and save it to another part of the hard drive.
After all is said and done if there are not a lot of modifications to the blog page from the original template it might be easier to just create new blog pages and see if you can copy and paste elements from the original blog page to the other.

Photoshop CS4 crashes on copy/paste

I use windows 7 and photoshop cs4 (updated to 11.0.1) for a couple of months now. It crashes as soon as I move the pasted object, no matter if it is on a new layer of same document, or on the layer of a new document. This has started to occur recently.

Memory address issues can be tough to track down. Often, they will occur when a program either mis-reports the memory addresses used, or tells the OS that it has released them, when it has not.
Though written with video editing in mind, there still might be some tips for setting up your computer, in this ARTICLE. If you have Win7, please look down-thread for Black Viper's tuning page.
Now, Adobe programs have always been great at reporting their memory usage, but it could still happen - I've just never encountered it over the decades.

Flash CS3 crashing with copy/paste between 2 files

Hi.
I am a flash games developer, and I am currently working on a game that is truly massive.
The main file size is over 250MB.
It's been a work in progress for about 4 months of solid work.
Due to the size of the file, I prefer to create things like characters and objects in another file. I then need to import it over, replacing old movieclips.
When copying and pasting now, it always crashes, or tells me that its run out of virtual memory.
It appears to be impossible to get it all over, even bit by bit.
I've saved and compacted, I've saved as, I've moved it onto another disk drive.
All of the above seemed to help temporarily, but I'm now at a stage where nothing is working.
I don't think the file is corrupted in anyway. I've had no problems with any other component of flash. Just the copying.
I just don't understand what's so intensive about moving over an object of about 10-20 mb.
My computer is quite high performance, 5.6ghz, 4gb of ram.
I've asked for help on so many forums now, and all i get is criticism at my file size. Well it can't be helped. It's a massive game.
I've tried using a runtime shared library, but unfortunately it doesn't allow attachmovie to get it from the library. It seems the identifier is only being used to connect the 2 libraries when you set up a runtime shared library.
attachmovie is very important to the code and it can't be done any other way.
Please please help.

Ok, So I was getting frustrated so I copied the file I was
working on onto a thumb drive. Just for the heck of it I tried
opening and running it from the thumb drive and for some reason it
works! I really can't figure out why though. Same computer and
everything but if I just read straight from the USB key it works
completely fine. I'm really confused with this problem now. I also
am getting the same crashing error when I open certain files from a
certain folder.
I'm running XP. I refuse to update to Vista :)
but it seems that we are having the same problem despite the
different Operating systems. So this is a very interesting
problem...
Any one else have any help tips for us?
