Muse - Enlarging pictures on mouse action

Hi,
I have created a webpage with 47 small pictures, set 3 pics wide, 16 deep. I already have text boxes with desciptions under the pics. How can I set it up in Muse, so if I hover over the pic it enlarges say 20% will dimming the other pics. How also can click the picture and enlarges to a full size picture. BUT I don't want it to open a new tab or page. It must appear a lightbox? I have no programming experience, but if you point me in the right direction sure i'll resolve this!
Thanks

You are correct , you can use lightbox slideshow , where users when click on small thumbnail image ,large image will appear on screen with lightbox effect.

  • Essbase 11.1.1.3 mouse actions don't work with options turned on

I have a user who has "Enable double clicking" selected in his global settings for mouse actions. However, when he tries to use the mouse to zoom in, it doesn't work. Nothing happens as if he did not have "enable double clicking" selected. He is on Windows 7, Excel 2007 and Essbase add-in version 11.1.1.3. I have several other users with the same configuration and their double clicking works fine. We went through and disabled all other add-ins besides the Essbase add-in but still have the same results. We also uninstalled and reinstalled the add-in but that didn't help.
Any thoughts on what could possibly be causing this?
    Thanks!

Thanks Robb. I tried those options but it didn't work, but I'm posting here the final resolution in case anyone else encounters the issue.
I had the local desktop support check out his PC and it turns out that the Windows 7 screen resolution was causing the issue. The only reason it was caught is because his desktop sharing software also was not working correctly.
Within the display settings Windows 7 allows you to display text/icons larger without changing the resolution. The user's display was set at 150%. After changing to 100% (default) the desktop sharing and Essbase double clicking are working.

  • How to disable mouse actions for Spotlight?

Spotlight causes me problems, because it is activated, when the middle button of my three-button mouse is pressed. Many X11 and Windows applications have some functions for the middle button and then Spotlight grabs it and nothing else works as it should. Hence, I would like to disable all such mouse functions in Spotlight and other mouse bindings and use mouse only as a pointing device, as it originally was intended to. How can this be done - I cannot find any such hotkeys etc. defined in System Preferences.
    ArNO
    2

    ArNo,
the central button can be programmed to do anything from System preferences ->Keyboard and Mouse-> Mouse. Use the drop down box to select "none" if you dont want the middle button to do anything.
If you use a lot of x11 apps that require a different set of actions than the normal mouse environment, I would consider creating a separate user account and turn on fast user switching in system preferences->accounts.
Then you can customize the user environment (mouse actions, etc) to be utilized differently for each unique operating environment.

How control can be customized so that it changes its picture when mouse moves over it. As it happens in other develpment enviroments that one can customized the look 'n feel of any thing during the mouse movement over that very thing. Moreover can any body plz tell me that how one can modify the funtionality of a control by him self (not selecting the available functionalities of controls and indicators)

The attached LV 7.1 code uses an event configured to trigger on two controls when a "Mouse Enter" or a Mouse Leave" event occurs. Depending on the type key focus is either assigned or removed.
Please elaborate on the Q re: customizing a control.

How useful screenshots might be in illustrating an issue pertaining to the screen display in comparison to a merely verbal description!
Does turning off »Use Graphics Processor« in the Performance Preferences and restarting Photoshop have any bearing on the issue?
    What are your Performance Preferences?

  • Change dock settings and mouse actions in accounts?

After creating accounts for my class periods I changed the appearance of my/the administrator's dock and the actions of my mighty mouse to enable right click. After logging out and then logging back in as one of my class periods my changes did not carry through.
Please tell me there is an easier way to change the dock and mouse actions than having to log back in as the administrator, going to EACH account, changing them so they can access system preferences, log back in as the class period, make the changes and finally go back in as the admin to take off their access to system preferences. Yuck...
Also, when a student is logged into their period is there a way to switch to the admin account temporairily? For example, if they try to open an application they don't have privileges for shouldn't it prompt the admin to type in the password instead of requiring that I log out? Thanks for any help!

Download and install the Server Admin Tools from Apple. It is intended for OS X Server but works fine on the regular version of Tiger.
Then have a look at Workgroup Manager. It allows you to set all sorts of preferences for any number of accounts. Think of it like Parental Controls on steroids.

  • On Ebay when enlarging pictures just go to a blank page -

When I click on the enlarge picture option on Ebay I'm directed to a new screen that is blank apart from header with Firefox logo.
This also happens in AOL email. I have three email addresses, two open mail fine but the other just goes to the blank page as before. These are the only programs I run that this occurs in. When I change to I.E. it runs o.k. Have been useing Firefox for about a year but this started just before Christmas. Tried deleteing Firefox and reloading but still same. Used AVG and Spybot but they haven't found the problem. Probably something very simple but blowed if I can find it.

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).
    * Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.
    See:
    * [[Troubleshooting extensions and themes]]
    * [[Troubleshooting plugins]]
You can also try "Reset all user preferences to Firefox defaults" on the [[Safe mode]] start window.

  • Why does IOS 7 enlarge pictures for the wallpaper and then disallow you to make them smaller to fit the screen?

Why does IOS 7 enlarge pictures for the wallpaper and then disallow you to make them smaller to fit the screen?

Now correct me if I'm wrong but I am sure I have read that the parallax effect in iOS 7 is the main reason behind wallpapers not being able to be shrunk. However, even disabling the effect will not allow you to resize the pictures like you could in previous versions of iOS, so as Skydiver119 said, it kind of is a glitch. If you are like me, and don't regularly change your wallpaper, then it may be worth creating a photoshop document which is slightly larger than your screen resolution(400px in each direction or so) and then placing your picture to suit, before copying it your device. Obviously, this would not be ideal if you were changing your wallpaper daily or very regularly as it would be a bit of a hassle having to do this every time you wanted to change your wallpaper.
    Hope this Helps!

  • Enlarging pictures in  Picture section

I have a picture in the Pictures section.
I can only hit the + button to enlarge it.
How do I highlight the part I want enlarged and save that enlargement?
    Thanks,
    Mike

Double-click it to open it in Preview (you've probably done that already). Click the Select button in the toolbar. Hold the mouse, select the region of interest with the crosshairs. Choose Edit menu > Copy (or Command-C), then File menu > New (or Command-N). You'll get a new file with the crop. Save it.

  • FASTER RESPONSE FROM keyboard/mouse actions?

1.42 GHz PPC G4, 1GB DDR SD Ram (4200 rph HD)
How can I DECREASE computer RESPONSE action/time to day to day activities?
It is not clear what 'slows down' software/computer responses and causes the spinning balls in relatively simple actions.
My usage is not 'heavy' nor 'complex'; Typically Mail, Safari, FoxFire, Word 2007, TextEditPlus,
QuickTime (music on occasion). Occasionally Adobe Reader and Photoshop Elements. Safari often more spinning balls than others.
By turning OFF USB an external HD with switching Power Supply that helps avoid delays. But what
    else can be done?
I choose to stay with Tiger 10.4.11 - and do NOT chose to go to a later version of the OS.
Is there a "faster response" time for later versions of the Mini?
Given that my first Mac was a 400k floppy machine with MacWrite and MacDraw - in relative terms we I do now is like a supersonic jet... but mine needs a booster -
    ideas??

Your computer's list of items in-use, per Activity Monitor, tell you
what is running and while these are Active, give an idea of how
much of the computer's configuration (hard/soft-ware) resources
are being used. Also, the Activity Monitor can tell you the load
of Virtual Memory and actual Chip RAM demands of Apps.
The interface of USB mouse and keyboard can act slowed-down
when the computer resources are running loaded. Even with up
to 75% hard disk drive free-space (unused, except for system
use as Virtual Memory and application temp or swap space) my
computer with an 8GB HDD can also, at times, have a slow key-
    board and mouse.
If you have more than one browser window open, or run Office
and some other apps at the same time, the overall load on the
Mini G4 (with the 1024MB max RAM installed) can be critical.
The virtual memory write/read cycles to the hard disk drive
increase, and this will also add to a lag when there is a rush
of demand on diminishing resources; plus, a tired old HDD.
Do you occasionally log-out of the main user account and log
back in? This can sometimes help free-up RAM and other use
of system resources, without having to restart the Mac.
How often do you restart the computer, & do you leave it to sleep
when not in use, or do you power it off? Just curious.
As the computer gets older and the hard disk drive more worn,
it may be running warmer and slower; less efficiently and tired,
this lag may be more apparent and point to a need to replace
the internal hard disk drive with a new, larger & better spec unit.
In some instances, there had been a controversy over which was
faster to the computer's processor and RAM (system bus) - be it
a 400 Mbit FW400 external hard disk drive, or a hard disk drive
on the computer's own bus. Some tests, machine series dependant,
showed a variable; with some FW400 enclosures running slower
than the internal computer's hard disk drive.
I've found both slower and faster (depending on the computer)
using an external HDD in FireWire400 enclosure, vs the native
drive; with even a 7200 RPM 250GB HDD running thoroughput
slower than an internal 5400 RPM 80GB drive; but not always.
Do you use a powered USB hub with the peripheral items your
computer is attached to, when running the Mini? For mine, the
better setup was to use powered USB hubs, with the keyboard
plugged directly into the Mac (for startup keyboard combo access)
and the mouse plugged into a port on the powered USB hub.
To note, if there is an issue with this set-up, to troubleshoot the
powered USB hub and have a spare keyboard & mouse available.
Usually, an over-whelmed USB port in a computer will give you a
warning message implying an under-powered state exists, & near
the total possible output of voltage to the USB port is approached.
The USB bus can only support a limited ceiling; there also is a limit
on FW port loads, and devices exceeding that amount will affect all
items on their respective bus. (Example why self-powered is best.)
When you went to the AppleJack download page and clicked on
the link to get the download to start, does your browser show you
a Downloads list and ask you where/how you want the item saved?
    I have mine set so I can see any/all items, choose to install them;
& have the .dmg or other image file on the desktop where I can
see it. (In 10.5.8, the default is in a Dock location for Downloads.)
How the browser is set to handle downloads can affect results.
If your computer has been acting oddly, there may be some
kind of file corruption or data corruption causing issues in it.
This link, in Firefox, goes to the download item for AppleJack
directly, in my browser, the default is set and asks me what
I want to do about it. The main option is to accept it and then
it will download to the desktop (Tiger 10.4.11) as a .dmg. It
will not open, and does not display some kind of picture:
    http://sourceforge.net/projects/applejack/files/AppleJack/AppleJack-1.6/AppleJac k-1.6.dmg/download
You should make a good backup, a bootable clone of your Mini's
entire hard disk drive contents, test it well, and then consider a
course of maintenance and repair of the internal hard drive; or get
a new replacement hard disk drive and upgrade the Mini with it.
Only 5 interruptions here, in the course of this reply to the question.
(Could be worse; some days they can be hours long; or weeks.
There is a story, non-computer related to the reader, going on.)
{Spindown Fix software has been tested in Mac OS X 10.2.3 only.
The older software suggested, may help if the external is going to
sleep if used as a boot startup volume; since once a external boot
    FW goes to sleep, the computer may not see it when it awakens.}
The Mini is sort of like a portable computer, in that the hard drive
gets a thorough work-out and it has limited upgrade capabilities.
So, for a hard disk drive to last 3 to 5 years, is lucky run. At least
    the unit isn't being hauled around while asleep, as a 'Book may;
and isn't as likely to be dropped from the lap while it's running...!
    +{Yes, it's a long post. Sorta like a Totem.}+
    Good luck & happy computing!

  • Picture control mouse property

In LV 8.5 I notice that if you reinitialize your picture control to default value (using pop-up menu) the mouse position property no longer works, it will always return 0,0 no matter where the mouse is in the control.  You must destroy and re-create your picture control to fix it at that point.
Maybe this has been fixed in later versions of LV but I have not seen any documentation of this.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    Good Afternoon Garvacious,
When you say the pop-up menu, I assume you mean the menu that appears if you right-click on the control.
I just tried this in LabVIEW 8.6.1.  My mouse cursor position reads 0,0 when the mouse is over the control and -1,-1 when the mouse is not over the control.  This is a bug.  I have filed the appropriate internal documentation (Corrective Action Request #167102) so that R&D is aware of the issue.
Thank you for letting us know about this behavior.  I am sorry for any inconveniencce this bug has caused you.
