Muse error message re: Asset
Hi -- I got a error message on my Muse site when I open the site now:
"This document contains a link to an asset being unsampled. You should resize it smaller, or relink to a larger asset using the Assets panel."
Anyone had this error? How do you identify what asset the error is referring to? What is unsampled?
I am new to Muse and would appreciate any help/advice on this -- Bertine
You probably resized one of your asset iamges too large.
If you look at the "Assets Panel" shown below, it will give you a detailed description of the error or problem, and give you a solution to fix it!!

No exclamation marks there either ?
and non at the front page ?
iDVD do not copy Your material - only points to where it is stored. So if on any external hard disks, USB-memories, CDs or DVDs are missing - assetts are broken.
Or if You changed location of any material or directed iPhoto or iTunes or GarageBand to a new Library - Then iMovie/iDVD also get's lost.

Error message while asset transfer
Hi
We are getting an error message when transfering an asset from one Company code to another Company code using transaction ABT1N.
We are getting the following error message -
Error during acquisition transfer: Depr. area does not exist
Message no. AAPO107
Diagnosis
According to the specifications for transfer variant 1, depreciation area 30 should be transferred gross. However, the recieving asset 1000 INTERN-00001-0 does not manage this depreciation area.
Procedure
Check the transfer variant and the receiving asset.

Can you please compare both of your CODs (Spain & UK), and find, which depreciation areas were comman for both CODs.
Go to spro->img->fin acc->asset acc->transactions->inter company asset transfers->automatic inter company asset transfers->Define cross system depreciation areas->Define cross system depreciation areas---
Here create entries, for comman dep areas, which you have found in the above step.
Now set your COD (Spain) with OAPL in other session.
Again go to spro->img->fin acc->asset acc->transactions->inter company asset transfers->automatic inter company asset transfers->Define cross system depreciation areas->Assign Local to Cross-System Depreciation Areas----
Here assign the cross system areas to the respective local dep areas.--SAVE
BACK
Now set your COD (UK) with OAPL in other session.
Here assign the cross system areas to the respective local dep areas.--SAVE
Again go to spro->img->fin acc->asset acc->transactions->inter company asset transfers->automatic inter company asset transfers->Define transfer variants->choose Define transfer variant---
here create a new transfer varient according to your requirement.
After creating it, select the same variant and double click on maintain allowed entries
Here press on new entries
enter relationship type as 02 (if all of your cocds were assigned to same global company)
Cross system area- = (a single comman area, which you found above)
transfer method = 1 (gross method)
ret tran type = 300
acq trn type = 310----with this an entry will be created here, if you have more comman areas, then you have to create multiple entries here.
SAVE after creating records for each comman dep areas and use the same transfer variant, while doing ABT1N.
I hope all of your company codes were assigned to one global company only. (in OX16)
It took long time for me to write the above as step by step.

Muse error message in Welcome screen (err=RangeError;...)
Muse displays an error message immediately in the welcome window in 'New Features', 'Getting Started' and in the 'Tips&Techniques' tabs.
I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but it does not help.
Does anybody know how to fix this?What version of Mac OSX are your running? Are you within some sort of corporate firewall or maybe a cafe wifi hotspot that may be affecting communications with the Adobe servers? Do you have other computers in your work area that you could check to see if they have the same problem or not?
The contents of the New Features, Getting Started, and Tips & Techniques panels are HTML that comes from an Adobe server. It looks like something has interfered with that communications link.

So what is up with this error message in Muse?

Error message "NTSC assets cannot be imported . . . ."
This has left me stumped.
I keep getting the following error message when I try to import m2v clips from compressor:
"NTSC assets cannot be imported into PAL projects"
But I haven't made any of my clips NTSC. Im exporting them out of the same FCP project, through the same settings and destination in Compressor and into DVDSP.
But only some files can be improted in. All the others keep triggering this error message??......Ive opened the M2v file in Quicktime, and looking through the movie inspector and movie properties there is no mention of it being PAL or NTSC?
What is the size that is being reported?
I am working from the same FCP project as all the other clips I have successfully imported, where the Sequence settings are 'Apple ProRes 422 1440x1080 24p 48kHz'
I used the same M2V settings and Dolby surround sound settings in Compressor too.
So you set the timeline out to a SD PAL preset? What you may want to try is copy a preset, and make sure to set the Video Format in the inspector to PAL and Stream Usage to SD DVD. Save the PAL preset as something like "PALTEST" so it is easy to find and when the item is encoded it will have the words "PALTEST" appended to make sure that you are grabbing the right file. You may want to try that on a small section (smallest clip?) to start. Before doing that you can try to delete the MPEG/PAR files for the problematic ones in case something got corrupted when you bought the original probllem ones in....
What were the Compressor settings that you used? Did you just send to a preset that Apple has in it? What were the names at the end of the files that are giving you issues? -
Why do I get his message even though my subscription is up to date and internet connection is fine? "We haven't been able to validate your Adobe Muse subscription for some time. Please connect to the Internet in order to continue using Adobe Muse". Thanks
Do you get this error launching Muse, or opening your site file? We've seen this bug in other Muse files, and we introduced a fix in the new version that will ship next week. You should be prompted for an update on Monday, June 17 and if you still cannot open your Muse file after updating Muse, let us know.

Muse Error message when attempting to sign in / publish to Business Catalyst
This morning I am experiencing problems when trying to publish sites to BC through Muse.

It happens on all sites, old new alike. I have just attempted to create a new site and publish but the same error occurs.
When I click 'publish to Business Catalyst' or Publish in the top bar it doesn't get past the first dialog box, see below:
It hangs here for a minute or so. The Muse closes displaying the following:
Yesterday was fine, all sites published correctly with no errors. This issue started early this morning.

AS01 Error message "Asset Class is not Entered"
When using the Transaction code AS01, we get an error message stating "Asset class is not Entered" and is not allowing us to use the T.Code but just gives us an option to Exit from the screen.
Because of this behaviour it is not allowing to enter any data in AS01 but only allows us to exit from the screen.
This is happening in ECC 6.0 EHP3 system.
Has anyone come across this kind of behaviour ?

Try transaction code OAAY and check if your class is assigned to depreciation area.
This is the last step before making asset class available for use.
Of course, all other settings have to be maintained properly.
OR
Check the Account determination, Screen Layout, No Ranges and Asset Class Determinations once again. And also check the Chart of Dep assignment to Co.Code.
OR
Please check OAYZ for all depreciation areas to be active.

Muse 2014.3 Crash and error message - Image frame thinks it belongs to the page
I am trying to update an asset in my assets panel, but every time I try to update the asset, relink the asset, or delete the object containing the asset Muse crashes with the following error message:
"Link updated. Image frame thinks it belongs to the page. but the page disagrees."
I've sent this file to the Adobe email and linked the forum per requested for this same file, and I've never heard back from Adobe.Please send your muse file at [email protected] along with this forum link in subject line. We will try to check the file and will update you over email.

I have read in multiple places on the forum that muse forms are now supported on third party platforms. however I am having a very difficult time getting mine to work on Godaddy. They seem to no longer have the "form mailer" option and told me to look at this PHP: mail - Manual to make the forms work. Muse is not giving any error messages indicating that there is a problem on the go daddy end, the form appears to function but no message is received at email address. can anyone help troubleshoot this for me.

Thanks for getting back to me. So, I tried changing the address as Sanjit suggested, and yes an error message came up. But then I tested Brad's theory and looks like the form works with another email address other than that of the actual website email:( So I guess based on Brad's link I should reroute the form to the other (non-godaddy) email...or contact go-daddy to see if they can correct this? Would that be the final answer?

Error message in down payment on asset purchase order

While i am trying to make down payment request with reference to PO have asset number it is return an error message
*Store a cost element for credit down payments
Message no. KI165
Diagnosis
You posted a payment to a CO-relevant object (cost center, order, and so
on). The payment is therefore recorded in CO.
If a payment has no order reference, no consumption account can be
derived. Therefore, CO posts the payment under a default cost element
created and stored during Customizing.
You have not yet maintained this default in the system.
Procedure
Maintain the default cost and revenue elements in the Implementation
Guide under "Project System" for controlling area CA00.*
I don`t know what is the reason for using this cost element and which type of cost elements that i can use in this issue....
We are not use Down payment clearing account, because Our customer don`t need this account..

For error message KI165,please maintanin default cost element in OKEP.Down payments have to be posted in CO with cost elements. In case of purchase orders (or open items in CO), the cost element for consumption can be derived from the purchase order. Thus the down payment in CO is posted with the consumption cost element.
If the down payment does not have any reference to a purchase order, then the cost element for which the consumption will be posted is not known. In this case, the cost element maintained with OKEP is used.
The error message KI165 will occur if no cost element is maintained with OKEP - not regarding whether the actual down payment has a reference to a purchase order and thus will update in CO under the consumption cost element derived from the purchase order. This is always a source of misunderstanding - but I hope it is clear now.
OKEP configuration is absolutely necessary if you do not have a cost element assigned at the time of downpayment request creation.
If after maintaining the default cost element you get some other error then please note that you would need to check the following :
1.Compare the configuration settings for the GL accounts that are used for posting the cash call in EHP4 system with the system without the EHP4 support pack.
2.Check the controlling area settings in both the systems.
