Muse freezes on export

Hi I am trying to export as an html file, or preview the site/page but the export process freezes around 30%.  I've found this thread-  http://forums.adobe.com/message/5673741#5673741 - which indicates that permissions to the tk1 and tk2 folders needs to open, which I do, however it then reverts back to being read only.
I've also tried uploading to business catalyst however the progress bar stops at 60% - optimising assets - however i have already done this through photoshop.
can you suggest any other solutions?
many thanks
Charlie

Do you have this problem exporting any muse site, or is it just one particular site? If it's just one site, send the .muse file to [email protected] along with a link to this topic so we can investigate.
If your file is > 20MB, use a filesharing service like SendThisFile, DropBox, or Adobe SendNow.

Final Cut Pro: May quit unexpectedly when exporting to Flash
    Last Modified: February 13, 2009
    Article: TS2593
    Symptoms
Final Cut Pro may quit unexpectedly when you export using QuickTime Conversion if you choose Flash Video (FLV) from the Format menu.
    Products Affected
Final Cut Pro 6.x, Adobe Creative Suite 3 Flash Video Encoder
    Resolution
This can happen if you use the Adobe Creative Suite 3 Flash Video Encoder and Final Cut Pro together. This issue does not occur with the Flash Video Encoder in Adobe Creative Suite 4. To work around the issue:
Choose File > Export > QuickTime Movie.
Be sure to enable Make Movie Self-Contained.
Open the exported movie in QuickTime Player.
Export the movie to Flash from QuickTime Player.

I just installed CS5, so I would think I shouldn't be bothered with an older, problematic Flash Video Encoder. I don't think I should have to convert an MOV file to an FLV file using QuickTime Reader or anything else. Why doesn't it export correctly out of FCPro 7.0.2?

    oh well.

  • Premiere Pro CC and CS6 freeze on export

I have a problem with Premiere freezing when exporting a video sequence.
The sequence consists of about 5 min of video from 10 different clips, so it not very big.
I want to export to H.264 format, but a few percent into the export everything freezes and I have to turn off my PC. The same thing happens with export to MPEG2 and MPEG4 formats, but not if I export to AVI format.
At first I suspected on of the clips was causing the problem, but I'm able to take all the clips one at a time, and export each one to H.264 format without any problems. Even If I take the new exported H.264 clips and put them together, and export them again as one file, it will freeze again.
The problem is the same in Premiere Pro CC and in Premiere Pro CS6.
Any ideas on what might be causing this?
    /Mark

  • Muse Freezes - Program Conflicts?

    Hi,
This is partially a question, but also a story about an issue I had and how I came across a solution in case anyone should happen to be in a similar situation:
I'm running the latest version of Muse with the latest version of AIR on Windows 8.1, and everything had been working fine with it until this morning. I wasn't sure what might have been causing the problem, but the problem was that I was unable to place any kind of image, regardless of file type. When I clicked on the "Place" or "Place Photoshop Button" commands, Muse would just freeze and become unresponsive, yet the program window wouldn't fade (as would be typical with an unresponsive program in Windows), and I received no error message within Muse. When I click "Save As," the Save window starts to appear and then freezes halfway through loading (this fades and gives the prompt that Muse is not responding).  I tried uninstalling AIR, and installing version 3.9, but this didn't work. I tried uninstalling the Lenovo Solution Center, which also requires AIR to run (and seemingly caused no issues with Muse previously)...no luck. Uninstalling and reinstalling Muse gave me no success. It had been a few days since I had used the program last (it was working fine this past Sunday). The only other programs I had installed between then and now were the EFI Fiery tools for my laptop to be able to use one of the printers at my job, and the latest Photoshop 14.2.1 update that was available this morning.  I was able to save existing files so long as I did not press "Save As," and I could drag and drop images onto the website workspace, but this was of little help when trying to put in a PSD button. The problem came up regardless of whether I was working on an existing Muse project or starting a new file.
When I uninstalled the EFI Fiery tools and associated programs, removed the office Fiery printer from my printer list (it's a Xerox Color 560), restarted my computer, and started Muse, everything worked properly again with no issues. There must have been some sort of conflict between Muse and the Fiery tools or the printer, but I can't fathom what that could possibly be. I can live without having the tools on my laptop, since they're also on my workstation at the office, but it was purely a matter of convenience, since there are some things I'll work on at home and then send to print from the laptop.
Is this a known conflict, and are there any other program conflicts with Muse that we should be aware of?

I think I've isolated the problem to text editing: Muse freezes when editing text. I can perform other functions, such as placing graphics, but when I try the use the text tool, Muse freezes.

  • Can a basic site be created in Muse and then exported to DW?

Can a basic site, created with Muse, be uploaded into DW to make it even more robust?

    Hi,
Muse is not intended to be a code generation hand-off tool for downstream editing. We recommend you do all of your site editing in Muse, rather than exporting the site from Muse and editing the code elsewhere. By staying within Muse, you can continue to use the full functionality of Muse to update your site. As soon as you move to altering the output of Muse, there's no going back (unless you're willing to re-make your changes each time you export from Muse). The HTML code output from Muse is not optimized for manual editing.
    Thanks,
    Sanjit

  • Muse freezes after launch Mac OS

I'm using Mac OS Mavericks. It worked yesterday before shut down.  Today, when I launched my Muse site, Muse freezes after the Site Map is displayed when I try to edit text on a page. I searched the forums and there was a similar problem last year, but I'm using the current version. I tried disconnecting the network, disabling Typekit, renaming the preferences folder. But, these did not work. Suggestions please. Thanks.

I think I've isolated the problem to text editing: Muse freezes when editing text. I can perform other functions, such as placing graphics, but when I try the use the text tool, Muse freezes.

  • How do I stop video freezing during export?

Video freezes during export to DV camera from imovie HD. Tried updating OS to combined version for 10.3.9. Installed latest updater for imovie 5 with no difference. Can anyone suggest any other solutions?
    Chris

    Chris,
I found a solution to the freezing problem in one of the answers to another problem here on the discussion forum.
It solved my problem and it might be helpful to you.
Convert your iMovie video into a QT film with the same quality (I have a dutch version of iMovie HD, so I don't know the exact menu-wording. Something like >Slect>share).
Import this QT film into a NEW iMovie project.
    Then export to your camcorder.
It took my Mac almost 11/2 hour to convert the video to QT (55minutes movie).
But in the end, it worked.
I'm no expert, but I think it has to do with the mutilations caused by adding titles, cutting, audio additions etc. which are imparted on the document.
The original video that frooze was 17.1 GB. The successful copy only 13.6GB.
    Good luck

  • Freeze Frame Exports Muddy

I like to freeze a frame and use it as the menu background on wedding videos. Here's how I create it:
    Select frame,
    Create freeze frame,
    Export frame as still picture/jpeg,
    De-interlace in Photoshop
Yet when the picture goes into DVD Studio Pro it's somewhat muddy and far from crystal clear, and even worse looking on a large screen tv.
Is there a better way to get a sharper still exported?

    ::Select frame,
    ::Create freeze frame,
    ::Export frame as still picture/jpeg,
    ::De-interlace in Photoshop
This won't help with a muddy image, but you can leave one step out from your workflow - skip the "Create freeze frame" step and go straight to File->Export->Using QuickTime Conversion then choose the file type and format you want.
The Create Freeze Frame step (Shift n) is for when the still image is just for use within FCP.

  • Muse freezes when attempting to Export to HTML...

    Hello,
I'm currently working on a photographer's website, with over 1000 pages. Every time I try and export to html the program freezes when at about 78% completed exporting. It also happens when I try to publish to the businesscatalyst temporary site.
Anyone know, or have a guess at the problem?
    Thanks!

Sorry for the slow reply. Thank you for sending your file. (I was on vacation for a few days.)
At ~1.5Gb and 978 pages, yours is the largest .muse file I've seen to date.
Muse is currently not a great tool for the site you're creating. The shear size of your site is beyond what Muse can work with in a single .muse file.
Your site is best suited to a Content Management System where a small set of template pages are married with a database of items, products, or in your case, animal species. Unfortunately, I'm not aware of any Content Management Systems that provide a no coding WYSIWYG solution to website creation. I'm confident Muse will eventually grow to enable database-drive website creation without coding, but we're not there yet.
If using a CMS and a developer and/or coding a site is not an option, then you could get to the end result I think you're looking for with the current Muse, but it will be labor intensive to create and maintain.
The basic idea would be to view your website as a set of smaller microsites (all hosted under the same domain name yourbiz.com). Each microsite would be uploaded to a separate directory/folder on your hosting. Perhaps there would be a folder (and thus a .muse file) for birds-a-d and another for birds-e-h, etc. You would manually create URL hyperlinks to link from a top-level microsite with the home page and major category navigation pages to specific pages within the microsites. And manually create URL links from the microsites back to the top-level microsite.
Strictly speaking there is no specific page count, image count or other complexity limit within Muse. But as the total size and complexity of a .muse file increases, the performance of Muse will degrade. Targeting a page count of 50-100 pages per .muse file (assuming low to moderate complexity per page, as you currently have) should provide reasonable performance and room for growth in each .muse file.
We're actively working on major changes that will eliminate some of the memory constraints Muse currently has and enable us to take alternative approaches to improving performance of large sites. But it will be some time before the fruits of our labors result in Muse being the best tool for creating and maintaining a website like yours.

  • Muse won't export in HTML or upload to BC

I am trying to replace our current website with the new design I created in Muse but when I go to export the site in HTML it gets to 67% and stops. When I try to upload the files to BC I get an error message about an asset that is trying to load or it freezes when it gets to exporting the HTML. What could be causing this issue and how do I resolve it so I can update our site.

I did get an error message.

  • CS5.5 freezes on export

    Hello
This question has obviosly been ask before, but I couldn't find an answer that helped me. I've had this problem for a while now, on CS4, CS5 and now on CS5.5. In the past I could barely live with it, but now I HAVE to finish a couple of projects for a customer.
When I export a project, the export freezes. It freezes at different points when exporting, sometimes at 2%, sometimes 40% and sometimes it finishes. All with the same project and with the same sequence. This problem also comes up with different projects. Some are SD, some 720p and some 1080p. The only thing I can find in common with these projects is that they all use various source materials, from various sources. From a crappy Sony DV camera (SD-quality), from a crappy Panasonic waterproof camera, Canon EOS 7D, Panasonic HDC-SD900 etc. Sometimes rendering works (rarely), but mostly not. Sometimes it helps to use Media Encoder, sometimes not. :) I can not seem to find any logic in this.
I've shutdown all unecessary processes (Sysinternals Process Explorer), defragged my hard drive, cleaned up all temp files (with ccleaner), checked that the filename is short enough and does not contain any odd characters etc, updated all my drivers & BIOS and tested the system stability with two different software. I don't have any other problems with my computer. I've also used Process Monitor to see what's going on in Premiere, but I can't find any
errors. None are in Windows logs either.
My main specs are Intel Core 2 Quad @ 3GHz, 8 gigs of memory, Nvidia GTX 280 graphics card and 2,5 TB of hard drive space alltogether. The drive that has the project on, has over 400GB of free space. I'm running Windows 7 x64.
I have 4 hard drives. 1 is used for source material, 1 for render files, and so on... This same problem existed before I split the files between different drives, so I don't think this has anything to do with that.
    Any help is welcome!

If all drivers have been updated (note: the drivers that come with a new component are probably 6 - 12 mos. out of date), then it might be time to look at the system.
The only thing that comes to mind regarding hardware, is that some component isn't just compatible with Pr. But that's highly unlikely, I think.
That may be, but also may not be the case.
If you will list the specs. of the computer, people can review that, and make comments - just in case.
    Good luck,
    Hunt

  • Media Encoder cc (2014) freezes during export

I have re-installed AME with no luck.  I'm using AME as a direct export from Premier CC.  I'm getting the same results from 2 PC's.  Sometimes if freezes at 20%, sometimes at 50%....Using AMD r9 290x video cards.

You are correct. We are currently discussing this and are treating it as a feature request for a future update. In the future you can also submit feature requests here: Adobe - Feature Request/Bug Report Form

  • Premiere CC freeze on export and sometimes during rendering

I have a small project which has four mpeg2 clips in .mov containers, the Fast Color Corrector, Red Giant Looks and Dynamics effects applied to each clip and some title elements. The sequence in Premiere CC seemed to be working fine until the 2.5 upgrade of Looks (I suspect this may be the issue, but I'm not sure).
I can open the file, but experience issues when I try to render (Premiere CC will sometimes freeze) and when trying to export to Quicktime H264 (both within Premiere CC or trying to use AME). In fact, when I try to use Adobe Media Encoder, it will open AME, but then Premiere hangs with the "Preparing data for export" message displayed.
This is not an issue with my PC's resources, as it is recent (Intel i7-4770 @3.4GHz, 16Gb RAM) and using a good Nvidia GTX770 card. Furthermore, I could edit the files previously without any issue.
One thing I have noticed is that I could previously read the .mov files from within Windows using the Windows Media Player and this no longer works. Perhaps the issue is related to a Codec and has nothing to do with the latest update to Looks.
Any help would be most welcome.

  • Freeze on Export to Media Encoder

I am starting to get really nervous. After a rather frustrating Adobe support call, I am now staring at the TechNote on Freezes in Vista for PP CS4. They all look scary options. So before I try any, I thought I would try here.
FYI, I am not an overly confident computer user. Just enough to get into trouble. I am also not an editor, but I am editing work projects. I am an ex Avid user.
    Thank you for any assistance.
    Issues:
    1. System hangs/freezes when I go File>Export>Media. (I can send to Encore though via the link.)
