muse jsassert error: calling selctor function type error unble to get proprty int undifined null refrence
HELP
thanks
The file musesprypanels.js contains bogus extra code at the end that's not part of what Muse generates. It's unclear whether this extra content is present because of some problem on your machine or if it was introduced as part of the upload process. I recommend re-exporting to a new folder (so all files are re-generated) and then re-upload at least the scripts folder. You could also open the index.html file in the local export folder to see whether the JavaScript error is reproducible with your local files. That would indicate whether the corruption to this particular file occurred locally or only on the server.

When exporting html and viewing locally we receive the following error... This error disappears after removing menu from top of page. This error does not occur when viewed on Outdoors360.businesscatalyst.com (our temporary site)
Muse JS Assert: Error calling selector function:Type error: Object has no method Muse Menu
Any ideas??I fix the problem.
I have carefully reviewed JAVASCRIPT files and I could see that these are not a major influence within the site, only are reference code and utilities of the same application.
By removing these files nothing has stopped working, I thought I would have some error in the sliders, or opacities, but no, nothing happened.

First off, I am not a coding person. I decided to use Muse becuse I am good with Illustrator and Photoshop.
The sight I built: www.speedcinch.com is now getting a bunch of errors when it initially was working fine. I am using godaddy for a host and using their ftp.
This is the error I am getting now: museJSAssert: Error calling selector function: Reference Error: Web Pro is not defined
You can see how my sight is supposed to work at http://speedcinchcom.businesscatalyst.com/index.html
I have no idea what to do. Please help.Well, if nothing else I've ascertained that it's not GoDaddy's connectivity issue, as the issue continues late into today, and it does vary a bit per the other error reports. Using FileZilla there are just a few timeouts in the log, enough to give some pause but not necessarily (according to GD) disruptive. I've checked the list of uploaded files against the Muse Export folder contents and everything is there. In fact, the site looks good, buttons work, rollovers, etc, but there are no images. Like everyone else, this has cost me time and money in the last 24 hours.
Let's see what the good people at Adobe live chat have to say, and I'll share it with you. -
JuseJSAssert Error calling selector function: Reference Error:'PIE' is undefined
Since installing your new version of Adobe Muse yesterday I have not been able to get updated pages to upload to my website. I have exported the html to my desktop and it looks right there but when I upload it to the website I get the following error message: MuseJSAssert: Error calling selector function: Reference Error:"PIE" is undefined. I have uploaded only the updated page but then I tried uploading the whole site MANY times and it just is NOT working. Can I go back to the prior version as I had no problems with it. PLEASE help! I have worked on this for two days and am tired of it and need to get my site working properly! Thanks for your quick response!
Whats the site URL in question? Are you uploading the site to Business Catalyst or to a third party hosting provider? Did you try uploading all site files through a FTP client like Filezilla? Is that a specific browser/version where the problem occurs?
Thanks,

Made changes on my home page and it looks great in the preview in browser, but when i upload to my server I get the attached error message. PLEASE HELP!!!
It's common for opening a locally exported website that contains Social widgets or other third party code to generate security errors because it will be loaded in the browser using file:// protocol. When a site is previewed from Muse (in Muse or in browser) or uploaded to a hosting provider it's served using http:// (or https://) protocol and the security errors don't occur.
The third party code that comes with using the Social widgets or any other widgets that rely on third party code and/or services is frequently not designed to work over file:// protocol. -
I haven't made any changes but this error just started. The next screen says Some files on the server may be missing or incorrect. Clear browser cache and try again. If the problem persists please contact the website author. Hosting is with Business Catalyst.
Hi,

Hi
Please check the following thread,

Do let me know if you have any question. -
So what is up with this error message in Muse?
MuseJSAssert: Error calling slector function:SecurityError: Failed to read the ‘contentDocument’ property from ‘HTMLIFrameElement’: Blocked a frame with orign “null” from accessing a cross-origin frame. This is a genuine security error generated by the browser when viewing a page with iFrame content locally.

Very frustrated here. I'm getting the following error on the home page on my Muse site. Looks like it could be the banner slider: "MuseJSAssert: Error calling selector function:TypeError: 'undefined' is not a function (evaluating 'a.watch("height",function(){b.height($(this).outerHeight())})')"
When I click OK the error message goes away. Not a problem for me, but I can't have potential new customers seeing this when I show
I see this error on Safari 6.1.2. I don't see the error on IE.
I'm using the latest Muse CC 2014.
Here's the site: www.optimumfitness.com
Please help anyone. I've been building Muse sites for a long time and have never seen this problem.
Thanks,

Every time I open any .html file in a browser I recieve this error message; MuseJSAssert: Error calling selector function: TypeError: Object does'nt support property or method 'museMenu'
I have a similar problem that seems to have come up since the latest upgrade. My error is:
"JavaScript Alert
MuseJSAssert: Error calling selector function:SecurityError:Blocked a frame with origin "null" from accessing a cross-origin frame."
The strange part for me is that there's no error at all when using File>Preview Page in Browser. I only get the error when I File>Export Page as HTML and then try to view the output.
I can post a zip file of the HTML output to Adobe, but not publicly. Also, where is the Preview Page stored? If I don't get error on that, why can't I just use that as my HTML output?
Thanks! -
I launched Muse today and it said there was an updated available. I installed it and then made a few small changes to my 5 page website. Then i exported the HTML and uploaded it to my server.
But now when i try browsing the site in Chrome, I get the following error message:
MuseJSAssert: Error calling selector function:ReferenceError: Spry is not defined.
The only changes I made were adding some text to a few pages and adding metadata info to each page and when viewing the exported HTML locally (prior to uploading) it all behaves as it should...no error messages.
Any ideas why its doing this? or more importantly, any suggestions on how to stop it from doing this? It wasn't doing this yesterday prior to me making these small changes.
Here's the URL: www.gardensbytheseaursery.com
Thanks in advance.
JakeThis error would occur if not all the files for the site we're uploaded.
The 2.0 update includes numerous improvements in the generated HTML, CSS and JavaScript, so while you may have directly changed only certain pages, if you're using an external FTP client all the exported files and folders need to be uploaded. (The new built-in FTP support automatically only generates and uploads files that have changed since the previous upload.) -
Hi,
I found out when i'm in IE and go to the page 'Artists'
and i click on a name, for example: 'Abel Equipe ELA/I Gomes'
I get this warning :
MuseJSAssert: Error calling selector function:Error: A security problem occurred.
This is only in IE, not when i use Safari or Chrome
this is the website link
Any ideas how to solve this problem? There's an invalid hyperlink on the Abel Equipe ELA/I Gomes page on a bit of text that reads "with your input." You need to find this text within Muse, clear the hyperlink and enter a valid one.

My Safari browser on my iPhone4s reads the following error when I visit my site www.premiercreativegroup.com: MuseJSAssert: Error calling selector function:TypeError: 'undefined' is not an object (evaluating 'this.elem.get(0).currentStyle').
Not sure where to start on fixing this. Any ideas? You might to start by going to the Muse forum
If you start at the Forums Index http://forums.adobe.com/index.jspa
You will be able to select a forum for the specific Adobe product(s) you use -
Im getting an error : MustJSAssert: Error calling selector function: TypeError: Cannot read property 'style' of null'
- with each page selection on the nav bar
here is the link
http://http-shipleybusinesscatalystcom.businesscatalyst.com/index.htmlI'm unable to reproduce the error message at your site (on any of the pages) as tested in multiple browsers on a Windows machine. What browser (with version)/OS/Muse version are you using?
However, the most likely cause of the error message is the pinned menu at your site. Refer to a similar thread here - http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1117058
If the problem persists at your end, please try clearing your browser's cache/history/cookies and re-try. Also try a different browser in order to isolate the issue to a specific browser (version).
