MUSE: Layers tied to page vs globally?

Is there a way to have the layers tied to the specific page I'm working on as opposed to applied globally?
Some of my pages have longer content and sections than others and it's confusing to have a bunch of layer/folders that don't apply to that page.
Thanks.

Hi SwissPL,
I believe you should get the same behavior what you are looking for with the latest version. the page viewed will show the layers on that page only.
Please clarify for any other issue that you may be referring to.

  • Export to PDF from Autocad: Acrobat always opens PDF with 'layers panel and page' shown.

    Hello,
Whenever I export to PDF from Autocad, Adobe Acrobat opens the PDF with the 'Layers Panel and Page' shown.
Each time I have to manually go to 'Properties' and select 'Page only', close 'Properties' and close the PDF and select to save the changes, in order to show the just the page.
Is there a way to make PDFs always export to 'Page only' automatically as default?
    Thanks!

Thakns Peter, I had seen this thread, but it doesn't really address my issue. I've exported individual chapters from the book file, all with success, so I know there isn't a file corruption issue.  The problem seems to do more with memory allocation/usage.
I have tried: quitting and then immediately exporting the file, and even rebooting and then relanuching and exporting.  Both of these allow me to get a few pages farther along, but still not through the entire book.
I remember back in the day there used to be a setting for how much RAM/dis c space was allocated to a certain applicatino (I knowm it was a long time ago).  I didn't know if there might be something like this hidden somewhere

  • Dedicated Layers for each Page.

I would like to see dedicated layers for each page. As it is right now the layers span across every page. If you make a layer on the home page as say "home header" it shows up as a layer on say the contact page, where it is completely useless and can cause confusion and clutter. This is a basic example but often I have multiple layers on one page and only need one or two on a different page and find I'm getting them confused from one page to the next and causing unnecessary clutter and confusion. If each page had dedicated layers for its content then it would be much easier to stay organized and provide a better user experience and more effectiant updating of info for each page.

It's not, and each time (yesterday in fact) I've thought how nifty it would be to use layers in this fashion, I've killed time. Layers are document wide. You're choice is to create a pdf with layers enabled for client reviews, but than I realized they wouldn't understand how to mainipulate layers in Acrobat, and I couldn't formulate less than a one hundred word tutorial.
It's possible to make buttons in InDesign that show/hide layers (and perform other actions like page navigation, etc.) in PDF documents. No user tutorials would be needed with informative text labels on the buttons.

  • How can I make a PDF file from each folders with layers, where each page is a each folder?

How can I make a PDF file from each folders with layers, where each page is a each folder?

I found an answer to my own question. A work around of sorts.
Download Photoshop Elements 6 for Macintosh. With PSE6 I made a slide show with 550 images 1920x1200, without thumbs. I ran into one problem making the slide show. My images contained 4 images which had not ben created by Photoshop and could not be included in the slide show. Opening the images in Photoshop CS4 and re-saving them still did not make then acceptable. Not a big deal. I probably could have fixed the four images by stripping all EXIF data before opening them in Photoshop. BTW, PSE6 made the slide show in demo mode.
I hope the bug in Photoshop CS4 will be fixed in Photoshop CS5.

  • Using Adobe Muse to create master pages

    Hi,
Is it possible to use Adobe Muse to create master pages for Sharepoint 2013?
The Muse product creates the Javascript, css and html files, with the images etc.
The Muse product looks ideal to create the master pages with no coding required.
    Nick

For SharePoint 2013, yes you could absolutely use this tool to create your HTML (this post is in the 2010 forum, so just making sure).  In SP 2013 you can use the new Design Manager to upload HTML which then gets converted to a .NET Master Page.
So long as Muse turns out valid HTML, you should not have an issue.

  • Can you share layers to multiple pages and have the content in the layers in different areas?

    Hey there,
I'm wondering if there's a way to share a layer folder (like the footer layer) to multiple pages but still be able to move the entire folder independantly between each page. For example, maybe I have a page that's 5 inches long and another page that's 10 inches long. I want the footer to always show at the bottom but if I change a link or hotspot on one area in the footer, I want it to change on all pages. Is there a way in fireworks for this to work the way I want?
    Thanks,
    Caleb

I don't think you can copy layers – at least not in the
    way you are thinking.
But you can select frames or a range of frames and then
    copy/cut frames.
In the new document you can then paste frames. It has a lot
of variations depending upon how you many you copy, if there are
multiple layers, what area you select before pasting and so on. It
would take a lot to describe and I'm not sure I would describe it
    properly.
Generally just give it a try and get an intuitive feel for
it. The choices are available from the Edit menu but also from a
    right click.
It is also possible to slect and edit multiple frames so if
you do need to move a bunch of things on different key frames that
    is also possible.

  • How can I make a button in Muse that bookmarks the page the user is on?

I want visitors to be able to push a button that bookmarks the specific page in their web browser. Is this possible in Muse? Or do I have to use third-party code?

    Hi
As pnoypie has suggested , you can use html for this.
You can directly insert the html which would create a link to bookmark on page or insert the html inside button widget and define states.
    Here is an example :

  • Can I create a login/password protection in Muse for a HTML5 page or two?

    Hi,
I'm new to Muse.  Can I create a login/password protection for
one of my pages in Muse?
    thanks,

PASSWORD PROTECTING A PAGE WITH A NICE BOX DESIGNED INTO YOUR PAGE
FINALLY, I'VE FOUND AN ANSWER TO PASSWORDING A PAGE OR SECTION WITH ADOBE MUSE WITH GREAT SIMPLICITY AND ALLOWING YOU TO 'DESIGN' THE PASSWORD BOX INTO YOUR PAGE!!!
Even better is that you don't HAVE to have username AND password (although you could if you wanted to), so just a simple PASSWORD box and enter button DESIGNED BY YOU WITHIN YOUR PAGE, rather than nasty popups etc.  Importantly, the password itself is NOT within the source code of your page either!!
The solution is at Jotform.com. I believe you can do this with a FREE ACCOUNT, although it's SUCH a great service for Musers that I paid for a proper account.
Before you do this, create a page on your site saying "Wrong Password. Please go away" or something to that effect. You'll need it for when they enter the wrong password.
So, in Jotform, you just create a new form and:
    1. Drag on a password box (it's in the power tools section)
    2. Select it and go to Conditions
    3. Go to Change Thank You URL after submission
    4. Enter: If [name of your password box] field EQUALS TO [enter your password]
    5. In the "Then redirect to" box, enter the URL of your protected page and click save
    6. In the resulting box click "ADD A NEW CONDITION" and do the SAME as stets 3 to 5 but this time say NOT EQUALS TO" with your same password and in the "Then redirect to" box, enter the URL of your WRONG PASSWORD page and click save
    7. Embed the button on your page and you're done!!!
If you want to mess about with the EXACT alignment of a right aligned button and text box, you can go to Preferences and in the box which allows you to add your own custom CSS, enter the following code and mess about with the values until it's perfect for you:
    .form-buttons-wrapper { padding-top:3px !important; }#id_2 {margin-left: -50px !important;}
Here's an example, built in Muse: www.hileytv.com/about.html
I hope this helps my fellow Musers!

  • Mapviewer Map Tile layers in admin page

Just switched mapviewer over from AS10g to WebLogic10.3 and even though I kept the same config my cached maps are not showing up in the admin section.
Anyone know how mapviewer loads the Map Tile Layers shown on the admin page ?
The database is the same and I can access them from AS10g, but not from WebLogic, do I have to create them again ?
    Thanks.
    **Update**
Just looked at the logs and on AS10g I see this line:
INFO: *** Oracle MapTileServer started. ***
But that never shows up on the mapviewer log under WebLogic
    Also, when I posted:
    <map_cache_admin_request>
    <restart_cache_server />
    </map_cache_admin_request>
    The response is:
MapTileServer is not ready. Please try again later.
There appears to be a problem with TileServer under WebLogic, anyone have any ideas ?

What you are trying to do is a common requirement.
Some formal examples ( from Oracle) on the full process / code for doing this using PL/SQL would be a great help to everyone on the forum.
We have seen snippets of parts of the process in PL/SQL. Many of us have implemented automation of the mapcache management - but I am sure that there is much room for improvment.
I have not seen the full process documented by way of example in Oracle Documentation - but that does not say that it does not exist - so if someone knows where such exists, please post the location to the forum.
Everyone on this forum - I dare say - are doing, or trying to do great things with Spatial and Mapviewer - and often in the face of stiff opposition of other legacy and competing technologies ( this includes ESRI and Open Source).
So - I guess what I am leading up to is encouraging LJ or Jyant to make this topic of the next post on their blog (http://oraclemaps.blogspot.com/). LJ is currently posting on mapviewer XML requests. Why not make the next one a PL/SQL case study on mapcache maintenance automation ... and present Oracle's PL/SQL best practices for:
Setting up the ACL so that 11g utl_http can post ...
    Authenticating with mcsadmin ...
Posting the mapviewer request ... and
Getting the result / response ....
    Looking forward it ...

  • Define global error page on global-web.xml

    Dear fellows:
We want to create a common 404 web error page for all our J2EE applications. We have added these error pages to the global-web.xml through the Visual Administrator:
on several  system local folders such as:
    usrsap<SID><j2ee-instance>j2eecluster
    usrsap<SID><j2ee-instance>j2eecluster<server-inst>
    usrsap<SID><j2ee-instance>j2eecluster<server-inst>apps
    usrsap<SID><j2ee-instance>j2eecluster<server-inst>sap.com
However, everytime we provoke the server error in order to retreive this Global Error Web Page, the system does not seem to find our custom error page, giving the following message:
    The request can’t be processed.
Details: Requested resource ( /testerrorpage.html ) not found.
We have discovered that the application was not trying to look up for our web Error page, but for another one located inside the application. However, we don't want to add a specific application web page but a global one common for all of them.
Since there is not any common folder, such as global/root folder, we don’t know where the custom error page should be placed. Do we need to do something else?
We are currently using WAS: 6.40 SP 11 PatchLevel 89291.313.
Does anyone know how to configure this global error page? It is possible to do it?
    Thank you
    Gonzalo

    Hello,
Yes, Uvaylo is right, the only way to edit the content of the global-web.xml is through the visual administrator --> Configuration Adapter.
I have the same problem as Gonzalo, I have modified the global-web.xml and added custom errors pages for each HTTP error and exceptions. The big deal is when I try to specify in the <b>location</b> field of <b>error-page</b> item: I dont know where I should place my custom error page. I have tried the same paths as Gonzalo did with the same result, when the error event is raised the error page is not found. In the log appears the following entry:
Processing an http request by the error page [/testerrorpage.html] finished with errors.
    Probably the exception [com.sap.engine.services.servlets_jsp.server.exceptions.ServletNotFoundException:
    Requested resource ( /custom_error.html ) not found.]
thrown by the requested servlet [/testerrorpage.html] cannot be processed.
    The error is: com.sap.engine.services.servlets_jsp.server.exc
Please help! Where can I place my custom error pages, to make them available for all the applications of the server?
Thanks in advance for your help!
