Why does not use PDApp.exe to validate its licence like all other Adobe programs do?? This is causing much grief to out IT team because it they allow Adobe Muse.exe full access to the internet then when you perview the website you can get to any website. This is a breach of our company policy.
Please can adobe fix this issue as we cant use Muse untill this is resolved

Uninstaller appears to have removed some version of the application...
That released the Application Manager which allowed me to download the new binary...
FYI, while verifying credentials the install app flashed "your not connected to the Internet" a couple of times, similar to the last "beta" update...

Why is Adobe Muse 2014 reverting to the trial version?

I loaded up Muse this morning and it told me there was an update, so I downloaded Adobe Muse 2014. When I try to load it, it goes into trial mode. If I say I want to licence it, it asks for a serial number. I don't remember having a serial for Muse, it just logs in with my Adobe ID. The old version still works fine, but the new one keeps bring up the trial version screen.
I've tried to chat with an Adobe rep twice but both times have been told it's a 'technical' issue and I will be transferred to the relevant department. That's when the chat goes dead. I just want some help getting Muse 2014 to work!

Okay, I have this sorted now. These are the steps it needs, should it happen to anyone else.
1. Click on the "Finder" icon. Select the "Applications" folder
2. Open the "Utilities" folder and select "Terminal"
3. Type the following.
sudo nano /private/etc/hosts
4. Enter the OS user's associated password when prompted
5. If any entries in the host file include keywords such as "ims" or "adobe," please delete those entries.
6. Press control+o to save the file
7. Press control+x to close the file
8. After the nano dialog closes, type the following in the Terminal window and hit the "Return" key
dscacheutil -flushcache

What is the benefit of using Muse over using a web template and managing it with e.g. Joomla?

I use templates as a start for creating websites, I add my own design, manage it with Joomla and have a company to host it. I have a CC licence so am able to use Muse, but why would I need to. How does it help make my life easier, reduce time to create a website etc? Just interested to hear the pros and cons.

Serial Numbers with the licence

Hello,
I just purchased a licence to use all services from Adobe for students. But when I'm trying to open PhotoShop, Illustrator ans InDesign, it doesn't work and ask me some serial numbers..
But when I'm using it with Adobe Muse, it works very well.
So what am I doing wrong?

I don't think you can change the serial numbers of NI hardware.
You could read the serial number of the hardware, concatenate it with a private string, then compute the MD5 hash using the function
C:\Program Files\National Instruments\LabVIEW 8.2\vi.lib\Utility\MD5Checksum.llb\MD5Checksum string.vi

Adobe Muse if I have the Adobe CS6 Design and Web Premium

I have CS6 Design and Web Premium Product. Now I would like to have the Adobe Muse. How can I buy it without changing into the creative clouds suit?

Muse is not available as a perpetual licence. You can subscribe to it as an individual application.

I was searching for Adobe Muse and I found it only with a monthly subscription, linked with Creative Cloud. Is it the only way to have it? Or can I download it with a licence paid one time, as for exmple I've done with Adobe CS6? I prefer this way but I didn't found it.

Downloaded trial of Muse but cant find it ,,,,,restarted but still not there , only uninstaller & licence ( which seems to be in Polish ) Downloaded After Effects also & that seems fine ,,,,,, am I doing something wrong ? Running Mac 0SX by the way

Do you see it listed in your Applications folder? What version of Mac OS are you using?

Je n'ai pas de solution à ton problème. J'ai eu le cas de widgets installés correctement mais qui ne fonctionnaient plus après changement de version de Muse.
Il se pourrait que le problème que tu as soit du même type. Comme c'est un achat, tu as quand même droit à un minimum d'assistance et je conseillerais de contacter l'éditeur du widget.

So,
I have CS5, registered, and showing up in 'my adobe' as all good.
When I try to access the 'special offer intro price' of $9.99/month for anyone with CS3+ , it says I'm not eligible?
Anyone either know what's going on, or how to actually email a customer support or other 'real person who can help' at adobe?

Photoshop Plugin Licence?

We have a site licence for photoshop CS3, now if we purchase a plugin is it for just one computer? or can i put it on all licenced computers?

That will depend on the plug-in vendors terms and conditions. Most of the muse their own serial number system, which means you'll have to buy multiple licenses. Anyway, a lot of plug-ins do not even support CS3 anymore...

My customer need to convert his plaque group print in digital version for its Web site and tablets for his commercial staff on iPad. I have two questions :

- Integration of a HTML file in the same folio so that the customer has the HTML version for his Web site.
2°) If I integrate a HTML file, if I make it in Adobe Muse, will it work in all the browsers specialy on IE 9 to 11, Mozilla, Chrome ?
3°) PURCHASE PROFESSIONAL LICENCE ?
Knowing that I do not have enough money to invest at the moment in a license, is it really clever that the printer enterprise takes this license for a single publication?

Or if my customer ( the communication agency) buys a professional license Adobe DPS, is he(it) limited to a publication or he can publish it for several different customers? In other words the use of the Professional license it is valid for multiple customers at the same time (in mono-folio or multifolio) or a single customer?

Change Muse subscription to creative cloud (Student)

Hey everyone!
Due to the new features and great discount in CC I really want to change my muse subscription. However, this is a huge problem as muse is and never was available under a student discount. For this reason I am struggling to figure out how I can purchase a CC licence whilst cancelling my muse subscription?

How do I use Edge Web Fonts with Muse - is it an update to load, a stand alone, how does it interface with Muse? I've updated to CC but have no info on this.

Is there a reason why you want to use Edge Web Fonts with Adobe Muse?
Assuming you wish to improve typography of your web pages, you should know that Muse is fully integrated with Typekit. This allows you to access and apply over 500 web fonts from within Muse. Here's how you do it:
Select a text component within Muse, and click the Text drop-down.
Select Add Web Fonts option, to pop-open the Add Web Fonts dialog.
Browse and apply fonts per your design needs.
Muse also allows you to create paragraph styles that you can save and apply to chunks of text, a la InDesign. Watch this video for more information: http://tv.adobe.com/watch/muse-feature-tour/using-typekit-with-adobe-muse/
