Muse phone version jotform zoom problem

Hi
I have added a jot form to the phone version of a website www.mycharitablelegacy.org.uk but when someone goes to fill the form in the website zooms in on the form field and makes it very difficult to complete.
Does anyone know if there is a metadata line of code to add to the phone version in the pages> page properties> metadata to stop the zoom so the forms can be completed easily?
I found this when i googled this http://stackoverflow.com/questions/4472891/how-can-i-disable-zoom-on-a-mobile-web-page and i added the metadata code;
<head>
  <meta name="viewport" content="target-densitydpi=device-dpi, initial-scale=1.0, user-scalable=no" />
</head>
This did stop some of the issue but made the site move around in the phone browser so i had to remove it?  By adding this also has enabled me to determine this is a muse issue rather than a jotform issue.
Any advise would be great!
Thanks
Steve

I have the same problem.
this page causes the problem. And all same sub pages.
Golfkauppa Helsinki - Konalassa
Desktop version works well. So does front page of my mobile version,
but when you go to that page, mobile version stops working and switch to desktop version.
I have cleared my cookies and everything. But always this same page does the same.

  • Muse phone version

How do I temporarily disable the phone version of the site I created in Muse?

The only way would be to make a copy of your .muse file, remove the Phone Alternate Layout and Publish/Export/Upload. Doing so would remove the phone layout from your site.

  • I created the PHONE version pf my sit is a separate Muse file.

I created the PHONE version pf my sit is a separate Muse file. When I publish this to my site, will it erase the desktop site I already have live? Should I somehow merge the two Muse files before publishing?

    Hello,
Muse gives you the ability to create a phone layout long with the desktop layout in the same file.
As you have created a separate phone layout file it will overlap the existing desktop layout file.
I would advise you to create a phone layout in the file that already has Desktop layout and then copy paste the content from existing phone layout file to the new one created along with the  desktop layout. This will create  separate folder for Phone pages on the host and also set up the redirection codes so that the pages can be redirected according to devise type.
Please take a look at the link below that explains about Phone layout in Muse.

  • Chrome and Firefox only display phone version of Muse website and not the desktop content

My website workeffects.com  was working properly a couple of weeks ago -  desktop, tablet and phone.  For some reason, now the desktop version only appears when it's viewed in Safari --- Chrome and Firefox only display the phone version of the site.
Please help.  I have clients that need to see the desktop version.
I have Creative Cloud and everything is up to date on the software.
    Wendi

The desktop version of my site (workeffects.com) loads properly for Safari and Internet Explorer, but when the site is viewed in Firefox or Chrome it only shows the Phone version of the site.  Please make a recommendation on how to fix this issue.

  • Using different templates for the desktop and phone versions of the same blog

I have a site which was created in Adobe Muse and is hosted on Business Catalyst.
I have created both a desktop and a phone versions of the site.
I  want to know how I can integrate the blogs that I  currently have on the desktop site with the phone version that I just did, using different templates for the desktop and phone versions of the same blog. This is in order to ensure that visitors to the blogs on the website are directed to the templates that render correctly for the devices they are using.
My current approach has been to create both a desktop and phone versions of the blogs. The problem with this however, is that the dates are different and the comments are separated between the two blog versions!
I  have also tried enabling mobile templates in BC, but still couldn't find a way to specify the mobile versions of the templates for the same blog?
To recap my problem, I basically  need a solution where the same blog uses different templates for desktop and mobile (both templates use different navigation headings and menu styles)
    Thanks.

There can be few reason for this, including page contents links or contents used in phone/tablet version.
Please provide the site url , also try to publish the site as a trial site in Business Catalyst with all layouts which would help to isolate the issue.
    Thanks,

  • 100% Width Slideshow Not Displaying Images Correctly In Phone Version...

    Hi all... Again.
2nd issue encountered tonight since working on the mobile version of my current project. Having copied, pasted and resized the 100% width slideshow from the homepage of my Desktop version to my Phone version and after having applied different resolution images and published successfully, I made some edits to a different page (the main "About" page, nothing to do with the Homepage) and published only to find that the images in the slideshow are now not displaying correctly...
After the first (of eight) image, it seems to skip the next one entirely and apply the text for the 2nd image to the 3rd image, the text for the 3rd image to the 4th image and so on... Additional to that, it seems to also randomly use the Desktop resolution images for four of the images... WHY?!
I made NO changes to the slideshow since the last publish so WHY has it changed?
I've tried re-applying the correct images and re-uploading; no change. I've tried doing a full-upload; no change. I've tried closing down Muse and trying again; no change. My only option left really is to either update to the October 27th edition of Muse (which I was deliberately holding off on, until I completed this project, which aside from the mobile version is done!), or to revert back to the previous version of Muse in the hopes either of these will resolve the issue. Only problem with that is I've started using the text sync features and the new contact form features (such as ReCaptcha, which is a pain in and of itself if you want to use two forms on one page!! Heaven forbid!)... So I'd really rather not have to revert back but I also don't really want to risk screwing anything up further with the latest update, as has happened on more than one occasion for me when in the middle - or near the end - of projects!
Is anyone else encountering this? Anyone able to replicate it? Anyone know how to fix it? I'm really reluctant to continue on with the Phone version of this project until I know I won't keep encountering this sort of thing...
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks.

In the words of Gomer Pyle, "Well Golly!"
    Thanks. lol

  • The desktop version of my website homepage shows the phone version...

    Hi,
The customer has agree to push the site live with the desktop and the phone versions which worked perfectly.
But, until the site is live, when we connect with a pc or a mac, the site shows the phone version of the site.
Someone has an idea of the problem ?
Thanks (and sorry for my english)...

I have resolved the problem by duplicate the website and delete the phone version then replace the elements on a new telephone version.
I hope that will always works.
    The url : www.formaliance-rh.com
Have you an another solution if the problem is back ?
    Thanks.

  • When I create a tablet/desktop/phone version of a site, why are all the pages blank?

Hello, longtime listener/user, first time caller
I've been using Muse since jumping on the Creative Cloud train a couple years ago, but to date all my experience had been in maintaining and updating a desktop version of a couple small sites.  I loved the idea of Muse being able to assist in the creation of separate desktop/tablet/mobile layouts (ie responsive design), and this past week was my first experience in using it as I worked on a ground-up rebuild of http://www.eridusociety.org.  I started with a Phone layout, with the intention of getting that right and then expanding outward to a tablet version, and once that was finished, adding a desktop layout.
After completing the mobile site and testing it on Business Catalyst (thanks to all involved in that seamless integration, by the way), I clicked on the +Tablet button and proceeded to build out the tablet layout of the site.  To my dismay, all the pages it built were blank.  I tried deleting and re-doing it with different combinations of the options checked, to no avail.  Then I raced off to the nearest web browser and started searching - surely I missed a step, or the great collective brain of the internet could alert me to some way to achieve this.  Alas, no such luck.
The blank pages are intentional, and the way to populate those blank pages is to go back to the phone layout, open the page, then copy all the content, then switch back to the tablet layout, open the corresponding page on the tablet layout, and paste in the content from the source layout... and of course, rinse and repeat for the desktop layout as well (though for my workflow, I copied the finished tablet layout pages to create the desktop version).
For me, starting with all the page elements from the source layout is much easier than starting from scratch on each and every page.  That way I know I have all the elements on the page, and I can add to (or subtract from) as well as modify the layout in fairly short order.  I've been driving myself a little crazy with all the bouncing back and forth between layouts to copy/paste elements as I work on my site, and for future reference I'd like to know if there's some way that can be avoided in the future?
Ideally, I would like to see an option in the create layout dialog box to be able to copy content (and choose the source layout to copy from).
Beyond that, another great option for this dialog would be to let me choose to switch all the page links to the new layout.  That is, when it copies and pastes all the page content from source layout, Muse would then also update the links to pages within the site so that they link to that layout's pages.  So when I build a phone version and click +Tablet, I can check a box to copy page content from source, specify that source, and then check another box to update links for layout.  After Muse does its magic, I have a tablet layout that's already got page content on it, and it's linking to other pages on the tablet layout (and not to the source/phone layout pages).
Thanks to everyone on the Muse team for a pretty great product, and to the people manning the Twitter account for responding to my tweet and directing me here.

Sanjit, I think one of us is missing the point.  It could be me - is there some way to easily and quickly pop open multiple layouts and pages?  Because for me (running a 12-core Mac Pro with 64GB RAM and FirePro D700 GPU's), Muse lets me switch between one layout view and the next (not open them simultaneously), and takes several seconds to do this every single time.  Opening and closing pages (to create separate tabs/windows) is also incredibly tedious.
I can appreciate that select and drag works just as well as selecting all and using copy/paste shortcut keys, but that is the least time consuming part of the process.
Without copying the page contents from the source layout and transpose internal page links to new layout, Muse falls short of the mark of making it really easy to build responsive sites.  It's kind of like trying to take a cab to a destination across town that makes you get out and walk halfway.  No matter quickly or easily the cab made it through town, it still only got you half way there.

  • How to call a phone # in the phone version

    Hi,
In the phone version of MUSE, I have a phone number listed in the footer.  I want to do the following: When the user press the phone #, it will call that phone number.
would like to make my phone # be able to call.
    Any pointers appreciated.

    Hi bowbow88,
If you select you text frame, in the control strip you should see the hyperlinks options. If you click on the hyperlinks drop down, simply enter the telephone number (with no dashes, or anything, just the numbers) and hit enter. Muse will create a telephone link for you, and it should call that number when you click that link.
    Hope that helps,
    Andrew

  • Why does the Phone Version appear as desktop version when it is online

I designed a website in Adobe Muse. I also did a Phone Layout. Now the site is online. On the phone the site opens in the phone Layout but after using the navigation the site changes to the desktop version, which is not readable on the phone.
What can i do to make the Phone version run correctly?

sounds like you need to update your navigation so the buttons are linking to the phone versions of the pages rather than the desktop ones?

  • To install the new version of adobe muse (german version).

I have problems to install the new version of muse (german version). Everytime comes a sign which says: The application could not be installed because the installer file is damaged. Ask the application author is a new installation file.

Could you please uninstall the copy of Muse from your machine (In case of Mac, make sure it is deleted from Trash as well) and use the following link to download and install a fresh copy of Adobe Muse :

  • Phone version not detected

I've created a Phone version of a website-- vegsouthflorida.com -- but it does not seem to be detected when viewed with a mobile phone. (The direct link vegsouthflorida.com/phone works OK.)
    What am I missing?
I know this is a common problem, but I couldn't find an solution in previous discussion.
    Thanks!

The site redirects just fine to the Phone layout as tested on an iPhone's Chrome/Safari. If the issue persists at your end, please try clearing your mobile cookies and temp. data.
    Thanks,

  • Sony Tablet opens Phone version

I am setting up my website in a Tablet and a Phone version now.
When accessing the test version of my site on Business Catalyst with my Sony Tablet (SGPT11), automatically the Phone version of my website is opened, not the Tablet version as one would expect. This is true for all the three browers I have on this Tablet.
Can anyone tell what is wrong here? Where is the error situated? Is there something wrong in the code from Muse? Or could there some settings in my Sony Tablet to be changed (I have; howeve, never changed the default settings)?

    Hi,
I have the very same issue; I have built the desktop site and started to build my tablet and phone versions but before getting to head long into I decided to test it to see if it works.
Desktop - Loads the Desktop version
Tablet - Loads the phone version (Sony Xperia S Tablet (SGPT11))
Phone - Loads the phone version
At first I thought it might be to do with the screen resolution of the Sony Xperia Tablet being its a 9.4" and none standard, so I changed the size of the page a number of different ways to bring it inline with device resolution, but nothing seemed to work - it would always load the phone version - however I can edit the address from /phone/index to /tablet/index and it will display the right version. Has me wondering if it's something to do with BC profiling for devices maybe?
I am at a complete loss and as it the only tablet I have for testing it would be great if I can work out what is going on as it would be handy to use it with clients!

Any help would be gratefully received as new to Muse after spending much of my life using Dreamweaver and so far I am very at impressed as its massively reduced the time it takes to create a professional looking site.

  • Muse mobile version shifting left

    Hello,
My site I designed for my client looks great and I love Muse! However when I view it on phone and tablet it is shifting left.
All looks good but the shift. I reviewed my artwork to make sure no graphics were floating out there and everything is clean.
I also created a phone version which it is not picking up. Please take a look and let me know what I can do to fix this issue.

    Thanks you,

    QUE graphics

    That was not it.
However I did fix it. In brower fill the tab that says "scroll" and the box that you can check called "motion", it was checked. I removed it and now it fits nicely in my mobile window and does not shift left anymore!  Also my site on desktops does not shift left to right either which is the way I want it.
Somthing I would of never thought of but I was trying everything to get this to work.
